Hello good idea from tomcat

What are all your xmas tips and recipes or stuff you're doing to get you thru the next fewdays/weeks to EDD's

I going to try and make a stocking to hang in the nursery for when my little lewis comes home and for the first time bake a christmas cake.

Hi all,

I text Jay and she is ok, sends her love and says she has been feeling a little low for a few days but is ok and will rejoin us soon!

Got my date

Alex will be born on 19th December via ceasarian section!
Not a great appointment really, lots of tears, have been referred to a counsellor to help with grieving process and ALex hasnt gained much weight in 4 weeks. SHe has gone from being above the average linbe to being well below the average line! She only weighs in at 6lb 2oz today and it was expected she would weigh close to 7lb! Am going on Tuesday for my pre clerking appointment and have also been offered to be monitered twice next week just to stop any anxiety!

That's the trouble with reading this thread after 10pm each night, I can't remember what anyone has said through the day! Good luck for tomorrow Sh, and great news about your caesarian Bonkerz. Hope you manage to make a plan you're happy with, for ds, Ninah. Hope your last few days at work don't drag Minnie, being off work is lovely
& hope you're feeling better soon Jay.
dd was at nursery today, so managed a couple of hours at the shops on my own and then went to a Bumps & Babes NCT meeting this afternoon. Was really nice and hope to meet up with some of them again in the New Year, once I'm ready to venture outdoors
Wrapped dd's Xmas presents from us, filled her Santa sack with what was left & wrapped the baby's present to her, so just have to find a few things for the baby for Xmas presents and wrap dd's present to the baby & we're done.
Hoping for a quiet couple of days now, putting up the tree and decorations tomorrow & may hoover the car if I'm feeling motivated.....

Morning all, feeling good today as I finally got a decent nights sleep - woohoo!
I had what I think were BH's for about 2 hours last night too, think DP was getting a bit worried. All fine today though.

Bonkerz, I'm so glad you got a date for your C section but sorry your appointment had lots of tears, it is still really early days for you after losing your mum and to have all the p/g hormones racing too. I think you have been doing wonderfully well. {{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}
Glad Jay will be back soon.

Good luck with your exam today SH, hang in there baby, not long to wait til mummy is ready to meet you.

DQ, do we get to see some piccies of your lovely nursery? Funny that the only thing left for me to do is put the blind up too (cot isn't up but DP wants to do that). Looks too complicated so keep putting it off, maybe this afternoon.

santageorgeiscomingtotown · 07/12/2005 08:52

Ebbie, are you writing in code today? Preggie brain took ages to decipher!!

What are you up to today?

awayninahmanger · 07/12/2005 09:15

Go SH! wishing you luck, keep yr legs crossed and come on here asap afterwards cos we're thinking of you!
babygibbon yup, my thoughts exactly, I wondered just HOW graphic is was going to get - bleugh!
bonkerz good to see you have a date sorry about all the worry you are going through, not long now, hang in there! and thanks for news about jays1st, I know she is due end of the month. Do say hi!
Hello scully dq ei ebbie minnie flutter
george, at least your cat went in dp's cupboard not yours - oh dear tho! is s/he managing to eat OK now without teeth?

flutterbeedreaminofawhitexmas · 07/12/2005 11:25

DQ - I took him with me, he was so good slept right through even with all the hairdressers cooing over him.

EB - My hair used to be at the bottom of my back and now is just over my shoulders It grew like mad whilst pg and was really thinck then as soon as I popped it has gone back to being really fine and ratty again so had to get it all lopped off having it cut has really made my roots show up when DH saw it last night he thought I had had colour applied to the top of my head (bloody men they know nothing) sos now I'm a bit paranoid about it and contemplating having it re-dyed don't really want to but we shall see.

SH - GOOD LUCK

BONKERZ - Congratulations on the date just in time for Christmas [glad]

sweetheart · 07/12/2005 12:47

Bonkerz - congrats on getting your c-section date. Something to look forward to!

Well, I'm back from my exam - WOOHOO it's over !!!!! It was really hard actually and I'm not sure if I will have passed or not but at least it's finished for the time being and I don't have to worry about it now! phew

I've been home and checked my books and it looks liek some of the crap I wrote when I was bluffing may actually work so fingers crossed.

Anyway, thats me done - the baby can come after midnight now if it wants

How is everyone else?

bonkerz · 07/12/2005 13:02

well done SH, what a major acheivement regardless of grade although im sure you will have passed!!

AM trying to do the little things in nursery which includes printing off pics of my mum to put on the wall, have been putting this job off but it needs to be done and now is as good a time as any i suppose! Am filling out the BEFORE I WAS BORN section of baby book too!!

12 days to go!!!!!!

Nemoinapeartree · 07/12/2005 13:22

afternoon all

SH well done on getting the exam finished..hope baby boy is listening and knows now is his time to shine..lol

bonkerz dont do too much hun

how is everyone else...sorry did read just cant remember..lol

I am feeling ok but shoulder still aching. However only 8 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Just been to mothercare to buy new matress for crib and have come away with a free matress..pmsl. The girl on the till must have been a bit dim as I bought a few other little things so whole lot should have been about £27 but she only charged me £15. Terrible not to admit it I know but then money is very tight in the nemo household..lol
Which reminds me have also finally been given a different bank account which means we will start the new year with our debts all under control!!!

sweetheart · 07/12/2005 13:44

getting regulat stomach ache - type contractions - every 10 mins or so. Not painful yet so we'll wait and see what happens!

MINNIE1 · 07/12/2005 13:51

OK finally i can come on here! Up the walls here with my replacement.

SH..
WELL DONE only this evening to get through then.. Hope you have a lovely evening.

Bonkers,
12 days to go oooooohhh exciting stuff.. Relax and enjoy putting up the pic of your mum.

George,
No harm in giving the men a scare, Must try that on DP.. I asked him last night if i go into labour what will you do, he listed all he had to do in correct order which surprised me..

DQ,
Have you tested the pool yet?

Jay,
How are you?

Ebbie,
I cant wait to finish, I have so many little treats planned for next week.. Pedicure, shopping and even a night away for me and DP.. Just cant wait..

How is everyone keeping?

MINNIE1 · 07/12/2005 13:52

sweetheart
Will you be able to sit through dinner?? OOOO this could be it..

Nemoinapeartree · 07/12/2005 13:54

ooo SH getting excited for you..hope it turns into something more.

awayninahmanger · 07/12/2005 13:58

god sh you are SOOO organised! exam done, contractions .... OOOOH!
WELL DONE TO YOU and wishing you well!

sweetheart · 07/12/2005 14:15

Dh has gone out to check how to put the baby seat in the car. I'm just off to double check my hospital bag. "contractions" are about 8 mins apart and lasting 15-20 seconds. Getting a bit uncomfortable but I wouldn't say painful - yet!

bonkerz · 07/12/2005 14:17

get scrubbing that kitchen floor SH and munch that pineapple and get down marks and spencers for a few hours!!!

Just unpacked and packed hospital bags AGAIN!!

Pic of my mum is in pride of place on nursery wall. Above Alex's cot so my mum can keep her safe!

bonkerz · 07/12/2005 14:19

GOODLUCK SH

my guess is baby born at 7.12pm and weighing about 7lb 12oz. LMAO

scully · 07/12/2005 14:47

good luck sh, hope this is it
what a good baby, waiting until your exam was over
definitely still nesting here, cleaned skirting boards & the front door today - these might be things that normal people do but they were never top of my list on a regular basis, when working
about to hop in the bath for a little relax, before picking up dd from nursery.
picture in the nursery sounds lovely bonkerz, you're doing so well - I struggled for a few years after my mother died and I just had myself to worry about, not a family and pregnant as well. Day at a time and it will get easier, although that's hard to imagine sometimes now.

yellowbear · 07/12/2005 15:14

Good luck SH, hope this is it! Can't wait for your news.

Went for the baby turning the other day - it was so painful but it would not budge despite having a doctor and a midwife having a good old go - my stomach just feels so bruised now! What made it worse was that the next person went in and hers turned straight away - oh well I think the baby is trying to show me who is boss. I am still going for a natural birth though so if anyone has any tips I would be grateful.

Bonkerz we have a picture of babies grandma (mil)over the cot as she died 9 days before my ds was born - I went into labour the morning after the funeral! I like to think that she is looking down on them.

Good luck with the homebirth and pool DQ.

Hope everyone else is okay and congrats on the birth of the dec babies already here.

santageorgeiscomingtotown · 07/12/2005 15:18

OMG, , SH, is this it, are you off & running? Can't believe the baby has patiently waited whilst you do your exam & now POW. What a day for you. Good luck to you. xxx

awayninahmanger · 07/12/2005 15:20

yes, pic a good idea bonkerz
We have one of mum and Louis in the hall
Just seen mw this morning, head is now in my pelvis, Elvis - HELP! she doesn't think it's giong to be late!

sweetheart · 07/12/2005 15:29

it's all stopped!!!!!!!

So much for being in labour! sigh

I'm off for a snooze - I could have a long night ahead of me.
