Hello good idea from tomcat

What are all your xmas tips and recipes or stuff you're doing to get you thru the next fewdays/weeks to EDD's

I going to try and make a stocking to hang in the nursery for when my little lewis comes home and for the first time bake a christmas cake.

don't worry about the weight, at least it will be cold for a few months after the babies arrive, so no pressure to take off the layers of clothing just yet
good news that your baby has turned dq, and reading your other thread sh, sounds like that was a show - hope you haven't told people in rl or you'll be badgered even more for updates

mouseman · 05/12/2005 22:20

Hello all, I had the c section on friday and wanted to let you know that Jack arrived in the afternoon weighing in at a very impressive 12lbs 4oz (I did keep saying I was v. uncomfortable but did anyone believe me??!!) He is totally gorgeous and is adored already by his big sister. We were allowed home at lunchtime today and are now looking forward to Christmas with a bigger family than last year!
Good luck to all of you still waiting.

Nemoinapeartree · 05/12/2005 22:48

DQ baked beans are full of iron
I was recommended to have them after having adam.

Nemoinapeartree · 05/12/2005 22:49

by the way please tell me I am not the only one fretting now about having a 12lb baby!!!!!!!!! Sorry mouseman but idea makes my eyes ater only cos will be trying to do it vaginally.

expatinscotland · 05/12/2005 22:51

I'm fretting about this baby never coming out!

ebbie22 · 05/12/2005 23:01

Thats ok,for some reason i always put loads on while pregnant....MM,well done girl, and what a healthly weight, rather u then me though, how much did ur dd weigh ?How is everyone else doing....

expatinscotland · 05/12/2005 23:03

i can never seem to eat much whilst pregnant. during the first and second trimesters, i'm usually vomitting. the third, i have acid reflux and/or some other complication that prevents me from enjoying food much. i'm hungry, but it just never works out for some reason.

bonkerz · 06/12/2005 08:57

Morning all, am terrified this morning that my consultant will be nasty to me and tell me i have to have a natural birth and i have to wait till new year! My mum came to me last night in a dream and told me to stick to my guns and pointed out that if i want something bad enough i will get it cos im a stubborn little miss! Feel very fragile and emotional today so maybe BP WILL be high!

MINNIE1 · 06/12/2005 09:15

Congrats, mouseman Wow thats a healthy baby. wishing you all the very best with you new bundle of joy Jack.

I have read the thread and cannot remember any of it!!! The lack of sleep is killing me!! i got up to the loo last night and i sat crying on the loo cause i am soooo fed up!! Grand again this morning but i need to have this baby!!
Hospital went fine doc was surprised to see how far the head was in the pelvis! He said bubs weighs in at 6.2lbs now and i'll go by myself!

DQ,
In regards to iron i am the same!! I get constipation while on it so i am drinking juice to help with that! but its not easy!! But it all helps after.

SH lol at all the calls messages! who is the popular lady..

MINNIE1 · 06/12/2005 09:17

O and i have 3 stone on so i'm with you SH!

awayninahmanger · 06/12/2005 09:29

congratulations mouseman! wow, what a good sized baby!
I wish my family would ring me to see what's happening, I think they've forgotten. Haven't heard from either sis for ages and when I said to dad I was anxious about beign on my own and getting to hosp said Oh well you can call an ambulance, I really envy you guys being badgered for news!

awayninahmanger · 06/12/2005 09:31

I haven't weighed myself but have doubled in size so must be more than 3 stone. If not now, then when?!

dramaqueen72 · 06/12/2005 10:06

aw ninah, i'll come with you to the hospital........((hug))
and absolutely on the pg weight thing, I just eat whatever i like, because frankly like you say if you have to count calories when pg....its no fun!
nemo, i detest baked beans.....but luckily like other beans/pulses so will try getting more of them in diet.
minnie, I'm the other way with these iron tablets... 20minutes after taking them i am rushing to bathroom.........NOT nice.
hair appointment tomorrow afternoon. THEN i can concentrate on convincing baby its not early now and he can come out!!!!
my pool arrives today
s/h do check in, we are all watching you, you know!!

awayninahmanger · 06/12/2005 10:10

dq I think you'll be otherwise occupied but thanks! it's going to seem REAL when the pool arrives!

dramaqueen72 · 06/12/2005 10:11

you can always come here....the pool may be busy but the baths free....

awayninahmanger · 06/12/2005 10:16

oh heavens, it would be like the chamber of horrors with both of us screaming in the water dq! pmsl. Feel better now, thanks! you know how you get all worried and hung up from time to time ...
I have a feeling sh may be doing something productive, no reason, just a hunch, what do you think? I know this is more of the annoying speculating thing, but I just can't help myself!

THOMCATsForLifeNotJustForXmas · 06/12/2005 10:19

Hi girls, just a few minutes before my dad arrives to do some odd jobs for me, that's today's things to do, then tomorrow off to see my friend in Brighton who is over from Canada. Then I'm gpoing to start on the sex, pinapple, curry etc etc tip.

So who have we heard from then whose had their babies? Any news from:

1st Dec Sid
2nd Dec Mouseman, Chocolatefudge, Pennies
3rd Dec
4th Dec Sweetheart, Fresco, Nosckeb

Thinking of you all ladies, hope those babies don't keep you waiting too long and look forward to hearing about their safe arrivals.

I'm feeling fine, remarkably non-pregnant really. A bit tired, a bit slow on my feet, but other than that fine, just impatient now really. Would be so lovely if this baby arives the day after Lotties birthday, so the 18 Dec.

Love to you all

awayninahmanger · 06/12/2005 10:24

mouseman had BIG baby, see down thread!

sweetheart · 06/12/2005 10:25

STILL HERE!!!!!!!

Still loosing my plug gradually - still no pains! Who thinks this baby is going to be a little so and so when it does arrive!

congratulations Mouseman - wow good size. Glad you and the rest of the family are doing well.

Dh is home today - he got fed up of waiting to start his paternity leave so he's decided to stay home and wait it out with me. He's already getting under my feet - bless him!

awayninahmanger · 06/12/2005 10:28

SORRY! don't be cross! i just felt it in my bones! a bit out of touch with my bones atm tho! a long time since I've seen them.

sweetheart · 06/12/2005 10:41

ha ha - don't worry ninah. Your not the only one. I've had 7 phone calls since yesterday evening - it really is getting silly now!

santageorgeiscomingtotown · 06/12/2005 10:45

Crikey, chatty lot last night!
I wallowed in a lovely bath for hours trying to make myself feel better then went off to bed last night (that really is as exciting as my life gets at the moment!! )

I'm not going near the scales again as I know that I've put on loads of weight. I've really enjoyed not caring about what I'm eating so I don't want to start worrying in the last few weeks.

Mouseman - congratulations to you on the birth of baby Jack. Hope all goes well now you are home
What a weight!! Nemo, I'm getting scared too! No-one has mentioned the weight of the baby to me yet. I've packed the baby bag for the hospital but only included new born baby things (ie, up to 10lb).

Off to an NCT meet up this afternoon then taking the cat back to the vets for a check up (all looking well now she has no teeth!). Hoping for a very lazy day or I might collapse!
