Hello! I've just found out that I'm pregnant and due on the 23rd March! I'm 29 and live in London with my husband, dog and cat. So far at 4 weeks things are going very smoothly! I'm very excited about going to the doctor (even if they don't care) as feel it will make things more real!
If you're expecting in March too please join the thread and share a bit about yourself and how your pregnancy is going!

Oh greengoose - sorry to hear that, i have everything crossed for you.

feekerry · 04/08/2011 14:03

sorry to hear that greengoose- may still be okay thou?
i've not read many good things about doing CBD tests mid pregnancy- apparently they have caused alot of unnessary upset and worry so fingers crossed its a sticky one?x

a little update from me- well, i have been diagnosed with the living hell known as hyperemesis. (HG) theres quite alot about it on here- basically very severe/extreme pregnancy sickness. it really is grim.
i now have some anti sickness drugs and have been to hospital for an IV drip so feel a bit better. signed off work for a while too. can you believe a couple of weeks ago i was moaning about no MS.should have kept my big mouth shut!!

KikiRC · 04/08/2011 18:15

Fingers crossed greengoose that it's a false alarm. I really hope you have good news. And sorry to hear about the HG, feekerry hope you feel a bit better after some time off work.

Have you had any more streaking, Carlita ? I seem to be OK, though I can't stop checking. I've been quite queasy the last couple of days (and especially during the night) I have actually taken today 'off' and just pottered around quietly- I think it's done me a lot of good. I find it so hard to wind down, though.

casperella · 04/08/2011 19:50

Hey greengoose hope you are ok

greengoose · 04/08/2011 20:28

casperella Thanks for asking! I dont honestly know yet. I spent the afternoon on the beach with the kids, and tried to count blessings, but still a bit leaky, and very crampy. I think its just a matter of time.

Carlitawantsababy · 05/08/2011 07:04

knitterati no, you're not being over anxious! It would not be unheard of for your notes to be lost or something so it's always worth checking, besides, I think this early pregnancy business is designed to make you a little more anxious than usual! Sorry you're still not feeling great. You are exactly a week ahead of me, congratulations on being 8 weeks today, I'm 7 Grin
greengoose I have my everything crossed for you though I too have read lots of bad things about CB tests done mid pregnancy, scaring lots of people for no reason, the blood is scary though and with your last experience I'm sure it's impossible not to think the worst, I'm thinking of you [xxx]
feekerry my goodness, you poor thing! I've read about HG, it sounds awful. Really glad you've got it diagnosed and got medication and time off work though as those all sound like parts of the road to recovery! Does it normally stop in the second trimester like MS?
KikiRC I had one more tiny amount yesterday morning (from over night I guess) but no more since then, it was more brown tinged than streaky TBH so am feeling confident again! Smile I took the day off yesterday and today and am relaxing, I feel like it's doing me a lot of good too, I just need to keep reminding myself what the most important thing is and forcing myself to slow down! I quite enjoy it once I do!

casperella, sorry, I made a mistake before, it was you who got out of the sponsored swim, well done!
News from me... My mum has bought loads of stuff - a highchair, travel cot, gro bags, a couple of outfits, sheets, toys for the baby! All very gorgeous so very exciting! She's super excited she's going to have 3 grandchildren all the same age (sister due twin girls 3 December) and is decorating one of the bedrooms in a noah's ark theme and buying cots! Still feeling very good, my face is replaced by a yawning machine at 8pm every night but not too bothered about that! What're everyone's plans for the weekend? Grin

Hi everyone.
Well, I went to EPU today and they confirmed by scan that the baby has not developed, so Im just waiting for it to miscarry now. Yuck. My DH has bought me some books and chocolate and a hot water bottle... he knows the routine, sadly.
Thanks for all your well wishes, we will try again straight away, so hopefully back on a due in.... thread soon!
Good luck with your bumps and enjoy the time you have before they arrive too, once you have your bundles you'll think it flew by!!

KikiRC · 05/08/2011 16:54

Really sorry to hear that, Greengoose. I'm glad you have a supportive DH to be there for you. X

Carlitawantsababy · 05/08/2011 17:13

So sorry to hear your news Greengoose, glad you DH is takign such good care of you, go easy on yourself. Wishing you luck for the future x

shortlady · 06/08/2011 14:35

Greengoose- very sorry about your news. Glad your DH is taking good care of you.

Now, I have a story that will make you all laugh. Silly me googled 'pregnancy 6 weeks' whilst in work, wanted to see what baby was doing this week. Well, I should have waited until I got home, some music started and before I could turn anything off, or smash it to bits, it shouted in the loudest american voice 'are you sick of morning sickness'... the whole office must have heard. He guy next to me laughed, and a few people made 'what on earth...' noises, and I tried to act normal and said I clicked on a link... Not sure they will be convinced and I was mortified. That was Wednesday and I'm still recovering..

6+5 and very knackered today. Need to drag myself to a BBQ and then a party later. ummm

shortlady · 06/08/2011 14:44

VikingLady - we are due the same day, you on your wedding anniversay. I conceived on mine.. Are you having any sickness yet?

casperella · 06/08/2011 22:09

Ah no, greengoose sorry to hear your news. Hope you are taking it easy.

eaglewings · 06/08/2011 22:11

Green goose,so sorry to hear your news, look after yourself

I've been camping for the last week and other than sore boobs and disliking the smell of chemical loos am doing ok. It's only needing maternity trousers that remind me. They are very comfortable but tend to slip down at the back when I sit. Builders bum are us.

Off to a much hotter country next week and feeling slightly nervous as mc the last few pregnancies, but always before 6 weeks. I'm 6 6 today. Due 26th March

Having seen my GP I have a scan for 13 weeks and been asked to see midwife at 16 weeks. Also been asked to make app to see consultant ASAP. Possibly because I'm 43?

casperella · 06/08/2011 22:13

shortlady, am loving that story - remember to delete your internet history regularly....

We've had a good weekend so far but I am struggling with my 2 DS at the moment as they are soooo active and I am, well, the opposite of active right now. Just want to lie on the sofa.

Am now 9 wks... still getting "stretchy" pains in lower abs and now up each side. Anyone else getting same? Only remember these the first time?

Moffit · 06/08/2011 22:30

greengoose so sorry to hear your sad news, but glad to hear that your DH is looking after you!

Hope everyone else is doing well?! I am 7 weeks today and have been reading my pregnancy book, to see how its growing. I had my first appointment with the doctor yesterday, it was fairly brief, just asked me my dates, took my blood pressure and felt my tummy. He said he will send a refferal form to the midwife and they will contact me in the next week to make a booking in appointment. TBH it still doesn't feel real to me, does anyone else feel like this? But I'm sure my waistline is already expanding......

knitterati · 06/08/2011 23:01

Sorry to hear of your loss greengooseSad

Moffit - I do know what you mean about it not feeling real yet. I haven't yet seen Dr or MW so I only have 2 peesticks and the MS to make it 'real'. Off to tell our parents tomorrow, so maybe that might make it more real. can't wait to see their faces Grin

monkeybaby2 · 07/08/2011 00:34

Hi, sorry, dropped off the face of the earth a bit there. I had the 8 week scan and there's a little bean in there growing away! Midwife appointment next week so that should make it all a bit more real. According to the online due date thing, I am due March 7th :)

Carlitawantsababy · 07/08/2011 07:02

shortlady lmao at your story! You poor thing how Blush!
eagle I love camping! And I love that you are in your maternity trousers, I'm almost there myself which seems crazy but much better to know I'm not alone! Smile where are you going next week? Must feel good to now be 7 weeks, I hope you'll be able to relax about it more soon!
casperella I had stretchy pains a couple of weeks ago, but then, this is my first!
moffit doing great thanks! I get waves of wondering if it's possible to be this lucky but it is starting to sink in, helps that I'm spending a long weekend with my family who know so we're talking about it loads and are off baby shopping today!
knitterati how exciting re telling your parents! Have fun!
monkeybaby good to hear from you again! What did the scan look like?

KikiRC · 07/08/2011 17:48

Hello, hope you're all having a good weekend. I'm still suffering from terrible nausea (not actual sickness, at least not yet.) But it's seriously affecting things and slowing me down. Does anyone have any recommendations? (Other than ginger.) X

Carlitawantsababy · 07/08/2011 19:22

KikiRC sorry you're feeling Envy many women swear by seasickness bands, the bracelet type things you can buy from the chemist, my be worth a try? Smile

ImTheMap · 07/08/2011 20:33

hello ladies,

wondered if you mind me gatecrashing here, due date is the 5th april but because of the meds i am on i will deliver at 38 weeks (or before if same as last time)

im the map, 35, dd is just 3, took meds to get her here safely so hoping this time will be ok too,

had 3 m/c before her so this is pg 5 for me, v stressful but worth it,

look forward to getting to 'know' you all Smile

Carlitawantsababy · 08/08/2011 08:31

Welcome imthemap! What an unusual situation it is that brings you here! Is it medication that you take anyway or medication you need to take because you're pregnant? (tell me if that's too nosey!) Where are you with your ante natal care this time? I imagine you may gave extra scans etc.? Good to have you here! Grin

OP posts:
ImTheMap · 08/08/2011 09:15

morning, the meds are because of the m/cs

i take 2 tablets a day to keep my blood pressure down (pre whats-its-face last time)

i inject heparin to stop clots, take asprin to thin blood and high dose folate to help with early pregnancy.

oh, and progesterone as a pessary each night...

i am brilliant at being pregnant, it comes so naturally Grin

had some spotting last week so scanned to rule out eptopic (pg no2)

sac in right place, too early to see anything, back week today for heartbeat scan, fingers crossed (((xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)))

KikiRC · 08/08/2011 12:19

Thanks, Carlita- I have tried the travel sickness bands, and although I'm still a bit queasy, it's a lot more manageable almost straight away. What a relief!

Also just heard that I have a scan booked for 7th Sept...
