Truffs We will be passing - we'll be on our way down on the Friday. Bugger.

Scorpette · 12/08/2011 13:51

Truff, I know it's no help to you now, but you can request/insist you do the GTT with Lucozade instead of the vile glucose potion. So remember that, my dear PESH, if any of you require it doing. Lucozade is the standard at my hossie, lucky lucky.

Come on, lovely little Owlet, isn't it time you took flight? Xx

macaroonie · 12/08/2011 14:25

Just popping in to spy on twit-twoo's cervix.

Truffs the GGT is horrible, innit? It's standard screening here, even without family history ffs. i found it easier just downing it all in one go.

Things good here. CheeriO is absolutely gorgeous and chilled out and is not making life difficult at all. I am however not fooled by this and am waiting for the screeching/colic/vomiting etc etc.

AlpinePony · 12/08/2011 15:48

truffs This ---> * is my mouth! Angry My IO stuff is stillllll not here and it was 2 weeks today (or tomorrow) that I ordered it. Cunts. That'll teach me to buy their sale stuff - I bet their full price stuff rolls up quick enough.

Ariesgirl · 12/08/2011 19:19

Truffers my love, where the eff is the Sy Moritz hotel? I'm guessing not in St Moritz, yar?

Ariesgirl · 12/08/2011 19:23

PS How much did I laugh at Polly's prangs?

I am going to drink wine tonight. A lot. It's my reward for...for....for....well, I just am ok?

Orchid12 · 12/08/2011 20:46

Evening all. Sorry for going awol recently, am lurking like the others but just not finding the time to catch up. Sending Owlie easy sneezy vibes.

All good here, squidge is fab and mini O is a star. Already had childcare ishoos to deal with despite not going back til next June which has made my week less than fun. Too boring to go into here but in short childcare is an expensive nightmare for two! Going to have a glass of wine to end the week better than it started - hoorah.

Ariesgirl · 12/08/2011 21:13

Good God Truffers! Have googled the Cornwall St Mortiz Hotel. Erm...I'd rather go camping myself. In the rain. Obviously.

PollyCrystalTits · 13/08/2011 09:23

Any Wol news today?

MrBitey · 13/08/2011 10:24

Hello just checking fir news, in between cleaning up sick. I am on anti biotics which is making BB puke and now the cat has joined the party. Feffs all round and squee in advance for owlet.

MrBitey · 13/08/2011 11:18

PS very glad to hear all the good scan news and a massive (and very belated) that's not fucking fair for brown Angry How are you doing now lovely?

May take advantage of a sleeping BB to have a look in the Cresh, I haven't any crap ham though. Do you think plastic cheese will be ok? Smile

PPS sorry for radio silence and reply fails - baybees are very demanding aren't they?

MrBitey · 13/08/2011 11:26

Ppppppppppppppppp SSSSSSSS (he is still asleep) Congratulations TheRiverWasDeepButISwamItJanet

owlbooty · 13/08/2011 14:19

Where the fecking feck is my baybee?????

Needles lady has just stuck things in my back; she assures me it will move my cervix into the correct posish. I shall believe that when I see it, but frankly at this stage I am willing to try anything.

Rie I also laughed my arse off at Pol 's drivingfail. She is my hero. Grin

InTheSunshine · 13/08/2011 16:07

Was just looking in on a Wol lay check. Hope the needle does the trick & it's a sneeze Grin

Truffs that hotel is a beauty!

PollyCrystalTits · 13/08/2011 16:44

Oi stop laughing at my driving dis-ability you biatches! It was just the hormones, honest.* I cried when I ran over the badger. Sad

I hope the needles do their stuff for you Bootilicious. Come on out Owlet, it is time to meet the world!

That hotel spa looks just the biz truffs.Envy And the beach (Daymer Bay) is my favourite beach in the whole of Cornwall. When I lived down there I used to walk my dog on that beach every day morning before work, it was heavenly. In the summer I'd go to forestry commission land between Washaway and Bodmin.

PollyCrystalTits · 13/08/2011 16:45
  • and it was sleep deprivation when I got caught speeding on the way out of Taunton at the end of January. Sad I have to go to court on 5th September. I am shitting meself.
MadameBoo · 14/08/2011 11:04

We are camping near Bodmin Polls. Excited!

I haff googled that hotel too. Looks perfect for a pre baybee getaway Truffles. I shall save it in my favourites for future child free escapes.

Are you still here Wol, or are you a-laying?

Ocarina · 14/08/2011 11:44

Truffs that hotel looks just dreadful and the parents to be package sounds awful, I don't know how you'll cope. I can go instead if that would help..... . Have a fab time, none of us are at all jealous Envy.

C'mon Owlet, it's time to get a move on. (Is it wrong that I'm expecting to see photos of a small feathery creature when Owlie lays?!). I was thinking the other day I probably ought to get back in touch with my needles lady in case this one's late cos I figured she'd have things to try that might help. (I'm still a cynic about whether acupuncture actually does anything useful, but also a great believer in the placebo effect. I wonder if the baby would cotton on to that....). Hope the needles have done their job for you.

Well, the nursery now has curtains as well as the blackout blind, but I need to get on with sorting out all the stuff that's in it, lots of which needs rehoming elsewhere. My plans are being foiled by Mamas and Papas incompetence at actually delivering the chest of drawers we ordered - apparently they no longer deliver furniture to store (we were trying to avoid their ridiculous delivery charges) because of 'health and safety reasons'. Yeah, right, whatever. This baby is going to arrive to all the stuff being stored in carrier bags on the spare bed.... Still, it's a plan for the rest of the day while TH is around to help.

PollyCrystalTits · 14/08/2011 12:27

I hope you are having a fab time Madame. I luff it down there. I know you prolly won't have time, but if you do, visit St Nectan's Glen, Trethevy, Nr Tintagel for a gorgeous walk. There is a footpath that goes down the side of the church and the path takes you through a wood, next to a stream and ends with a beautiful waterfall. There is also an old priest house there, well, a room really. And there is a little cafe there too, although it isn't open very often. Such a beautiful walk though and woods feel ancient. I've walked there many times and would never have been surprised to see ghostly knights on their horses, or misty looking monks deep in contemplation! It is that kind of place iykwim, atmospheric I suppose. Anyway, I will shurrup as I sound like an old hippy. Which I suppose I am. [bllush]

owlbooty · 14/08/2011 15:18

Still not laying. MW came round yesterday and we agreed theoretical induction date for next weekend (which would be 42 by my reckoning and 42+2 by theirs). She knows I am not going to do it and I know I am not going to do it but it will get the hossie off my back for this week at least. She has also reminded me that whilst the hossie do not like homebirth after 42 weeks I can do what the fuck I like and they will still come out if I refuse to go in. I luff my MW.

Oooh, I have also just checked out that hotel, Truffs , it looks lush. May I please hide in your suitcase?

Occers I have no idea whether the needles is doing anything for my laying prospects (one suspects not or I would have done it by now) but I do find it rather calming and there is some pretty solid evidence that acupuncture has benefits - she sticks some in me for calmingness as well as promoting baby arrival and I do feel the calming ones are doing something.

That is bloody ridiculous that M&P will not deliver. Do they expect heavily diffed women to rock up and load furniture into their cars? Twats.

Pols buggeration and damn at the court appearance. :( Best not tell them about the badger.

Ocarina · 14/08/2011 17:05

Nah, M+P will deliver, just who knows when. The idea was to get them to deliver to the store (cos it's free) and TH go and pick it up (I wasn't going anywhere near it), but apparently they can no longer do that because of health and safety..... Apparently they couldn't either tell us that when we ordered it (presumably because they hadn't thought to let the shop staff know), or phone us to tell us, so we only found out when phoning them to see if it had arrived in the shop. So they then switched it to home delivery (quite what they were doing with it in the meantime I'm not sure), and to be fair have waived the delivery fee, but say it'll be at least 14 days before they can deliver and they haven't come up with a date. None of which is either helpful or good for my blood pressure....

Sorry, that was very long and boring. Suffice to say I would shop in their shops again (am impressed with the staff at our local one) but would think long and hard before actually ordering anything that's not physically there for me to take home.

So Owlie will you put off induction forever if Owlet decides to stay put? Obviously I very much hope it won't even be close to an issue, but how long do you think you can hold out for? Glad you have a supportive midwife :)

Ariesgirl · 14/08/2011 19:03

So are you coming to see me then Boo? If not why not?

Muser · 14/08/2011 20:27

No laying yet Booty? Have you shagged a pineapple? My pacing boots will get quite warn out. Your MW sounds fab, keep her.

rocketleaf · 14/08/2011 20:42

Glad your MW is supportive of you swerving induction for as long as possible booty Sure it won't cone to that and this little fella will come along in the nick of time. I must remember to post a pic if the very cute and clever sock owls my friend made for Sprout.

orchid that sounds annoying to the nth degree. I hate it when shops piss you about like that especially when it's shit communication. I have fallen out with Green Baby for that reason which is a shame as I like their stuff. But dont stress too much. I have only just bought a wardrobe for sprouts room and she is nearly 3 months old (finally came to the conclusion she would actually need hanging space!)

Muser · 14/08/2011 20:45

That baby owl is too cute. I wants one. And I want a sock owl as well.
