Hooray for things being back on track Owlie, now just get a move on Chick.

Macca that's so exciting that it's happening tomorrow. And it will be worth even the having to deal with in-laws.

And as for Biteybach, you know it's more fun out here and there's a whole lot of people want to meet you.

Saw the midwife yesterday, and they still can't decide which way up this baby is but suspect breech. Great. Still time to turn, but I wish I knew for definite that was what I needed to be trying to persuade him/her to do. And more concerningly, my next appointment's not for 3 weeks when I'll be 38+4 which seems v late to be trying to do something about it if s/he's still breech. Sister who's also a midwife agrees that seems late and suggests I try and get an appt a week earlier, but I've not yet braved phoning them up to suggest this (am a wuss about phones). Mind you, the info I've got says they should see me at 37 weeks so I can wave that at them. Hopefully this baby will decide to get into a good position anyway, but I could do without the thought that I might not know until it's too late to try and do anything. The only advice they gave me was if I go into labour to phone the labour ward ASAP so they can scan me and make appropriate plans at that point.....

Sorry this is brief, BugBoy not happy today Sad. His skin is rashy & blotchy & he has cradle cap Sad. Looks quite manky really, love him. Still lush though!

Happy Due Date Bitey good work on the show being on time, as for the new "do" & nails - you look gorg!

Maccers good luck for the caesar salad tomorrow Smile. You'll be fine, & in 24 hrs you'll be snuffling away - squeeeeeeeeee.

Scorps your FIL is a total cunt. I do not use that word lightly.

Winner of quote of the day goes to LadyG telling Scorps to refer to FIL as husband of the skank. Sums up IL's perfectly. (Sadly)

owlbooty · 27/07/2011 16:02

Occers I concur with your sis, 38+4 is not when you want to be finding out the MiniOccer is breech. I'd get in there sooner. If there is a opportunity for ECV then I think they can do it from 37 weeks; the later it's left it seems the more likely the baybee will be difficult to budge due to increasing chubbiness. I got it checked around 36+ weeks as my MW wasn't 100% sure either.

Fingers crossed for head down!

Bugboy now gone to sleep .............

Ocs for what its worth my advice would be to find out position of baybee sooner rather than later. They said BugBoy was breech at about 33 weeks, but that they wouldn't do anything about trying to turn him until 36/37 weeks. By that time they decided he was head down. Only definitely decided on breech when I was 41+3! Stats I was given was 50% success rate of turning breech baby at 36 week mark. By my stage they didn't really advise trying to turn him at all - no space left. So only real option was c-section. If I was adamant I wanted them to try turning him, there would be less than 40% success rate & it would be painful & distressing, requiring at least gas & air, or more realistically a spinal block. I was also advised that if I went into natural labour in the 24 hours since finding breech to c-section being booked, I had to ring hospital & it would be emergency c-section.

I don't wish to scare you - you know my tale ended up being a good experience. But if you really want to try & stay MW lead, I'd recommend trying to deal with breech as soon as.

Here endeth my lecture.

Ocarina · 27/07/2011 17:06

Thanks, you are reassuring me that I really do need to get them to check for breech sooner rather than later. Will phone midwife tomorrow. If breech is the way it's going to be then I'd rather have a planned CS than an emergency one, but if I can avoid that at all I really rather would (although obviously I know it wouldn't be the end of the world).

MrBitey · 27/07/2011 19:29

Hello, getting rather excited here! Very crampy back and womble now - bit like strong period pains. Have got the TENS machine out and it is pretty effective for these. Just scoffed a large dinner and going to have a glass of wine.

Grin at rocket, I have been singing girls aloud at the FDH.

LadyGoneGaga · 27/07/2011 19:50

Oooh, Bitey. Squeee!!!! Was your show yesterday bloody? I only do a bloody show when actually in labour as it goes. Sounds very, very promising. Hope you are snuffling by this time tomorrow Grin. Hurry up as Iris wants a welshie boyfriend. She told me so.

And she also told me she wants an Italian boyfriend too, Milano.

Thinks hormones may be catching up with me. Day 4 is weepy day, right? Have that to look forward to tomorrow.

Milk is coming in today. Started in night but boobs are getting really quite huge and sore now.

MadameBoo · 27/07/2011 20:20
