I honestly don't think I've had any BH this entire pregnancy! Hope it turns into something for you KLou.

Congrats Selina!

Good luck Firawla!

MrsVidic · 06/08/2011 05:58

I will add more later but our dd was born 8lb8, after 3 and half hours in labour at 4 am!

littlemisslozza · 06/08/2011 07:34

Congratulations MrsVidic! Look forward to hearing more when you have time, take care.

JenniferYellowHatsRedLingerie · 06/08/2011 08:08

Yay MrsV !! Well done and a nice (is that the right word??!) short labour. Hope all is well xx
Hope Firawla is getting on ok.
Anything happening KLou?

MrsBB1982 · 06/08/2011 08:53

Congrats Mrsvidic
klou i had that a week ago. Got all excited then it all stopped.
I am so impatient for this baby to arrive. After 40 weeks youd think another few days wouldnt matter - sigh

MrsVidic · 06/08/2011 09:05

Hello ladies, sending labour vibes from the post natal ward Grin
Well, think I best tell you what's been going on. Dp and I were dtd last night but we decided 1/2 way through that we were laughing too much to carry on (I made some comment about him needing to do it harder to see if it would work and we both laughed too much!)
Anyway I went to bed after yet another day of boggles not contractions and then suddenly felt all wet. Thought my waters had gone a little so phoned the Mw. Mw said to get childcare there and lie down with a pad for 40 mins.
I did that and turned out diagnosis was I weed myself. I felt funny, had a bit of blood in my pants so Mw said to come in.
I started contractions in the car and went into labour in the assessment unit.
Was assessed at 2 am and was 2cm- then the pain was really bad so they put me in the most gorgeous delivery room- with pool and everything. I went to the loo told the me I needed to push and nearly had dd in the toilet! So no water birth or anti biotics for me. (in regard to gbs they are just monitoring baby)
Got her out in 3 pushes at 3.59 am!
After being scared to thinking ages small etc she is 8lb8 and I have 0 stitches!
Gave birth on all 4s with gas and air for last 30 min

Tips to share: try to hold off on pain relief as long as possible as it really worked this time bug did nothing last time
After 2 births and having 1 with pethadine and 1 without I would say pethadine really distorts reality and I feel fad better this time

Take something to read for the post natal as it's boring!

Check out visiting times for children as they are different than normal visiting times and this could affect your childcare plans
If you need to push tell someone now!Grin

Well I'm off to bfeed Grin

aww mrsv thats a lovely birth story, well im 37 +5 and booked in for my section on the 18th and cant wait, midwife said to expect a 9-9.5lb baby which i expected as i have been so big for so long. congratulations to all you already on the other side and sending labour vibes to the rest of you still waiting.i am really over the pregnancy thing now and just want to be able to sit properly or bend down etc but as i keep saying it will all be worth itin the end.my dd keeps saying mommy your tummy is soooooo big now lol she is very excited at the thought of a baby around although she is only 3 so doesnt quite understand what gonna be happening.the worst part of having to have a c-section is being stuck in hospital for 3 days and not being here for my dd, and i know she is gonna get upset leaving me there which i know then ill get upset but i went out and brought banners and balloons so she can keep busy with daddy ready for her baby brother to come home, hope we get more birth messages today goodluck all xx

neverlookback · 06/08/2011 09:45

daisysair · 06/08/2011 10:00

KLou my BH kept waking me for an hour at a time last night, guess it's a good sign that our uteri (?) are ready for labour and we don't need to be bothering with curries, pineapple (sex?)

congrats to Mrs V and Selina it's amazing to know how quickly bump can change to baby!

here's to chilling out til babies come skin side

KLou111 · 06/08/2011 11:05

Congratulations mrsv !!!! Another short birth. Sods law when its me I'll be in for days lol.

Well bh stopped when went to bed at 12ish booo! Getting so frustrated now, totally bored. Trying to relax but I'm not one for just sitting down, I've got to do something, so have told Dh to take one of the beams down over one of our windows so I can sand it down and stain it lol. So he is :)

is your freezer full for babymooning time KLou? my mum filled ours for us last weekend, so i'm doing "essentials" such as reorganising cupboards lol-might as well... oh and baking too-sudden surge of energy is welcome!

Leilandri · 06/08/2011 11:25

Huge congrats to Selina and MrsV Grin
Good luck to firawla hope all goes well for you today.

Just realised that in less than 48 hours my baby will be born! Shock
Finding it really hard to think of anything else really, so taking my DS to a play cafe today to run wild, and the whole family are off to a vintage steam fayre tomorrow to keep busy, and to spoil DS as his last day of being "the baby" :)

Sending labour vibes to everyone overdue - hope those babies get moving! xx

KLou111 · 06/08/2011 12:35

We've only got a smallish freezer daisy so can't really get a lot ready. Dh wants to get a chest one to put in shed but will have to wait now. Am totally loving baking too! Chic chip muffins are my thing at the mo but have ran out of chips!

lielandri bet you are so excited. Enjoy your last weekend without your little one as it all starts Monday lol

Awww, congratulations MrsV! Hope all is well with your new DD & that you are able to take her home very soon.

I had a similar experience this morning thinking my waters had gone after dtd. There was a sudden gush when I got up, but on closer inspection & monitoring all day am concluding that I wet myself too! Blush The wait continues....

Good luck for today firawla - hope that little one gets moving soon.

Firawla · 06/08/2011 16:32

Congrats mrs v!!! Sounds like your birth went well!
I am also posting from post natal ward Grin ds3 was born this morning at 8.30 after quite long painful labour all night but atleast he made up for it with the pushing stage, I did not end up having to push he just all of a sudden emerged just as the morning midwives came to take over! I was like, I'm feeling a lot of pressure, then he just pushed himself out and no tears stitches or anything!! Am so tired tho not really slept since Thur night! But he is so gorgeous, and quite tiny only 6lb. Having low blood sugar tho so had to give him formula already, hope it stabilises and we can go home tomorrow not so keen on post natal ward soo loud and crowded
Not v relaxing

neverlookback · 06/08/2011 16:54
