konatsu · 25/07/2011 20:10

Congratulations to you MrsS and Winter! Fantastic news!!!Smile
MrsS wonderful names!

I?m 37+1 experiencing a lot of BH lately, not painful though. My tinnitus is still there and I think I?ll get rid of it once the baby arrives?

Hospital bag is almost done? I have some problems getting nursing bra right? I got a size bigger but it seems not enough. I?m not sure if it is better to wait? How did you do it? Hmm

KLou111 · 25/07/2011 21:35

konatsu I'm normally a C cup, currently an E, and bought an F for nursing bras :)

Congratulations MrsS and winter hope you're all doing well.

Just started packing my hospital bag, I've got a feeling baby will be early, but no idea how early.

Rootatoot · 25/07/2011 23:23

MrsChemist I have to keep packing and repacking mine.

In and out of hospital with high bp. It's driving me a bit mad. 36 + 4 and keep telling me i won't be going full term but I just want to know when it's going to happen now and what the 'plan' is! Sick of worrying about it all.

Top tips from my recent stay. Take lots of food you can keep. Cereal bars, bananas etc. The NHS food is really not enough for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Tell your other halves what food they could bring in for you daily now!

konatsu I know what you mean about nursing bras. I bought nursing/maternity ones from M+S for during pregnancy but darent buy more until I know if my boobs will go big once I start bf. When are you meant to get them?

Well, doppler scan again tomorrow and then consultant on weds so hoping to find out if/when they're going to induce me v soon.Confused

bettyboo83 · 25/07/2011 23:36

Congratulations on the babies Grin Have we got a thread for our new arrivals? I can't believe we're all so close, it seems like 5 minutes ago we were chatting about our 12 week scan!

Teladi · 26/07/2011 07:35

Re the nursing bras - I got a Bravado Bodysilk one (think someone recommended them on here - if so, thanks) based on how big my boobs are now and assuming they're going to grow quite a bit. They're not quite as size specific as other bras so you can grow into them. I really like the bra so I think I'm going to get at least one more, then I can get myself measured properly to see what size I have actually ended up, once my milk comes in. Which is a concept I'm still having difficulty getting my head round - there's a real baby in there and I'm going to be lactating - eek!

I'm checking in every morning now to see if anyone else has had their babies! There were a few people I knew 'in real life' pregnant (some local, some friends who live far away) and all of them have now had their babies. So I guess I must be next!

Got the midwife today then I should really get this hospital bag done. Did I recommend Boots online order system for anyone who hasn't done that yet? If not, then I do recommend it - I have swelling in my pelvis atm and it's sore to stand and potter around the shops, so I bought everything I would need online with a cup of tea and just had to sign for the box, pick up in store. It's free.

I know I've been pretty quiet lately but I have been here all along lurking - because I'm a wee bit earlier on than many of you (due 27th) I'm usually a bit late to the pregnancy trends! Wishing you all well at the moment and hoping you are feeling good x

Yukana · 26/07/2011 08:25

Hello all, Yukana here.

I'm having to use my phone to type all this out, so sorry if my post is short. I'm unable to read other people's posts on my phone, there is a library but I'm housebound unless someone is there to help me in a wheelchair.

I'm 38 weeks pregnant tomorrow, and about 2-3 weeks ago I moved house. I've had no phone or internet, and will continue to not have any until the 11th August. Fed up of topping up my mobile and feeling cut off from everything, but that's Sky for you.

I hope everyone and their babies are doing well, I've probably missed some exciting moments sadly. I was hoping to use mumsnet for advice around labour time, but this probably won't be possible due to lack of said internet.
I do have a question however, which if you answer I'd like to request that you could message me with your answer as it's awfully difficult to get to this topic! So, here goes, with TMI warning: A few days ago I found two large white blobs - for lack of a better word, could this have been my mucus plug? I have been getting cramps over the last few days, but I don't know what to think of it and any midwife around here is awfully difficult to get hold of.

Take care everyone, will try to check back on MN later.

RugbyWidow7 · 26/07/2011 11:55

Can I ask about glider chairs for the nursery...has anyone got one and if so, which did you go for - are you happy?

I bought one but am sending it back as not happy, so now urgently looking for another. Any recommendations v welcome!!! Thx

MrsVidic · 26/07/2011 12:01

I got 1 from eBay (glider chair) and I loved it- use it for bed time stories now! Really useful if your planning to put baby in own room and bfeed

RugbyWidow7 · 26/07/2011 12:09

Sounds lovely. Do you know what brand it was by any chance MrsV? Keen to hear about the good ones!

aStarInStrangeways · 26/07/2011 12:40

Just a quick one: had a sweep this morning, booked for induction on Thursday if no sign of labour (due to blood sugars becoming a bit unstable). I am 39+1 and frankly delighted! Good luck to all, and to me Shock

CappuccinoCarrie · 26/07/2011 12:51

Oh my goodness there'll definitely be two more babies this week then, its all becoming a bit real!
I'm 36+5 but feel stretched to capacity and not really sure how the next three weeks will go since baby surely can't grow any more due to running out of room?!

SelinaDoula · 26/07/2011 12:58

Congratulations MrsS and Winter!
I'm feeling left behind!
All well here, but no baby yet. Am 39+5, my DD was born at 38+4 so I feel overdue!
No real signs, some pressure and braxton hicks but no show.
Will just keep on waiting...
S x

Firawla · 26/07/2011 14:02

ooh good luck star!!!
im supposed to be offered a sweep this week i think, im in 2moro and on mon so not sure when. not sure whether to go for it because i will probably have kids with me, but on the other hand thinking maybe it will help atleast to get my body more prepared for the induction..

selina good luck!!! im sure your baby wont be too long at 39+5 ur soo close to due date, how exciting

looking forward to a few more birth announcements coming up this week then :D

Klou thanks for the new thread Smile

bettyboo83 · 26/07/2011 21:49

KLou I've just re-linked to the babies thread

MrsChemist · 27/07/2011 02:17

It is quarter past two in the morning and I can't sleep. I've been sweating buckets this evening. Having loads of BH which are a bit painful because they keep pushing baby further down into my pelvis.

I just want to sleeeeeeeep Sad

MrsVidic · 27/07/2011 09:09

mrschemist hope you managed to get some rest. It's horrible not sleeping especially when you have dc to look after the following day!
I must say that I keep thinking somethings happening then I have really bad wind! Blush
Dp is off again today so he's going to look after me, I feel really sicky today

MrsChemist · 27/07/2011 10:05

Thanks MrsVidic hope you're feeling less sick soon.
I got a bit of rest, but woke up loads of times. Mostly because I too thought something was happening, but it was just my guts grumbling.

Annie456 · 27/07/2011 10:34

Argh...I'm an insomniac too and i hate it!! Was finally in a deep sleep at 6am when DH had to wake me up because our lock had jammed and he needed me to let him out of the window to go to work and leave me to call a locksmith! We've only had these new locks for a week-can you imagine if I was in labour and couldn't get out of the house?! Well there's some inspiration for to tonights nightmare if I ever get to sleep! So grumpy now as I'd planned to sleep til 11am so I could catch up on what I missed...locksmith has just gone. Might as well harness the bad mood with a cup of RLT....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

CappuccinoCarrie · 27/07/2011 11:27

Can I join the too-tired-to-function-so-my-kids-are-watching-tv club?!

I'm so sore now, not particularly SPD, just achy of pelvis and tired of being battered from the inside, and feeling so huge like baby is running out of space. Sorry for whinge Blush

And has anyone else found their tastes have really changed? I've been off tea all pregnancy, and now I'm loving orange squash and apples, two things that I'm normally not a particular fan of, but I just can't get enough of either! I really like the idea of a hot sweet cup of tea, but I don't like the reality of it. Hope the taste for it comes back, can't imagine how I'm going to get out of bed all through winter without a Brew!
