Wow, births galore and it's not even August yet! Congratulations to the new mums!
Still feels like ages away for me at 35+1, I'm on maternity leave now though so I guess I should be getting prepared!

MrsBB1982 · 24/07/2011 13:27

Congrats MrsS and winter

SO Envy - want my little 'un to put in an appearance now! Didn't really have any BH then yesterday started getting some. Today they've been quite uncomfortable and lasted an hour before fizzling out.

38+0 today so am not-so-secretly hoping that DH was right about Bumpy packing his bags getting ready for move out day Grin

ohanotherone · 24/07/2011 14:13

Congratulations Mrs. S and Winter, brilliant newsXXXX

neverlookback · 24/07/2011 14:28

sisterT · 24/07/2011 18:13

Congratulations winter! How exciting Smile!
Listen to the wise words of MrsV - my worst waddling was post stitches; It felt like someone had sewn a plank of wood in my knickers..... Shock!!

Take it easy everyone. x

Rehune · 24/07/2011 19:06

Oh wow winter how amazing! Congratulations! I can't quite believe the birth announcements have started. It's all seem to go so quick!

Drove to Windsor today with mum and DH and went to see the castle and had a lovely cream tea and then drove back to London.

LOvely day and lovely to hear about your baby boy when I got back xx

impatient1 · 24/07/2011 19:53

Congratulations winter , fabulous news x

Rootatoot · 24/07/2011 20:01

Congrats MrsS and already said congrats to winter on the other thread, but it's so exciting to hear such lovely news. :)

CappuccinoCarrie · 24/07/2011 20:11

Congratulations winter!! Soooo exciting :)
I snuggled a friend's newborn today, it was so weird I found myself thinking "I want one!" and then realise that I'll get one....eeeeeek! It was one of those reality check moments that left me very excited and slightly panicked!
I've now washed the carseat cover and tonight I'm determined to actually label all DD's school clothes so its done well before baby arrives.

LifeOfKate · 24/07/2011 20:37

Congratulations Winter :o

I'm also very Envy at the birth announcements, I'm seriously uncomfortable now and not looking forward to the prospect of another month like this! I'm 37+4, but was 2 weeks overdue with DS and not expecting much different with this one :(

NHAN · 24/07/2011 22:40

Wow MrsStevo and Winter congratulations to you both and your families.
Haven't been on for couple of days and babies are popping out everywhere.
I get the feeling I won't be early but am very happy as decided to have a home birth today. My midwife asked why i wasn't having one as i don't want to go into hospital so after talking the dad in to it, which basically involved explaining he wouldn't have to do much and i can be transferred to hospital really quickly if anything goes wrong, its all down on paper and official :)
Hoping to get a birth pool if i can find one cheap enough and quickly as already 37+2. Can't quite believe i may be having this little boy in my lounge, just hope my dogs don't feel the need to get too involved :O and someone can take my son pretty quick as i don't want to traumatise him for life!

littlemisslozza · 24/07/2011 23:11

Congratulations to MrsStevo and WinterLover!!! Have been away for the weekend so just catching up on all the news.

2weeks tomorrow (and counting down!) until our little one is born. Really looking forward to meeting him or her but also enjoying the last days of my wriggly bump as this will be our last baby.

WinterLover · 24/07/2011 23:36

Thankyou everyone, I will post a photo when we're allowed home. On Transitional Care wing due to him being early.

Will post labour story too Grin I should go to sleep but I can't settle. Just live listening to him make gurgling noises.

Bloody stitches hurt and I've got terrible wind but other than that lifes great. We should be allowed home in a few days Grin

littlemissw · 25/07/2011 00:01

Wow! Congratulations on the safe arrival of your little babies MrsS & winter!!! I better get my hospital bag packed I guess.... :)

MrsVidic · 25/07/2011 08:19

If your bfeeding winter I'd recommend keeping some face cloths handy fir when your milk comes in to put a cold compress on your boobs- you'll wake up one morning soon like pam Anderson !

WinterLover · 25/07/2011 11:07

MrsV I hope I do, we're not allowed home until he starts feeding off me or I change my mind and FF Hmm

KLou111 · 25/07/2011 11:52

Glad all is going well winter hope he feeds soon. Do you have a name yet?

Rehune · 25/07/2011 12:02

You ladies by being awesome and having babies have inspired me to FINALLY pack my hospital bag. 39 weeks today so about time!

WinterLover · 25/07/2011 12:52

No name as yet but just been told we've got to stay in till at least the weekend Sad

Hersetta · 25/07/2011 12:54

well 2 more days to go here!.

Been to the hospital today for my pre-op appointment and have been tested for MRSA etc. Am pleased to be on the morning list so have to be at the hospital at 7am on Wednesday so hopefully by 10am he'll be here!

Best part was I haven't been weighed since my booking in appointment at 12 weeks until today and from then to now I have am actually lost 4kgs (approx 9lbs) so when the baby, water and placenta come out as well i should be at least another 12lbs down I would say.

I put it down to not being at work for the last 12 weeks and the constant grazing on cakes and biscuits we had on never ending supply. I had thought I had lost weight though as I have not had to buy a single pair of maternity trousers as all my regular ones still fit - am still chuffed though.

Firawla · 25/07/2011 12:59

wow @ your weightloss hersetta that is really good!! and good luck for your birth, 2 days is nothing!
winter hopefully you get to go home soon after the weekend, i was in transitional care with my ds1 and was in for a week, it felt like agess and was desperate to go home, but if you are still trying to establish bf etc then in a way it can be better to be in where there are midwifes to keep asking help any time day or night than at home, and hopefully the time wont drag too much and you will both be back home before you know it!
rehune i am finally starting to sort hosp bag now too. i have bought most the stuff on the weekend, not got so far as to actually pack the bag but atleast feel bit more prepared.

Rehune · 25/07/2011 14:14

Firwala Thank god its not just me with the bag delay! Finally packed mine and the baba's and was actually fun picking out what he or she would wear home.

Good lucj hersetta and kudos on the weight loss

KLou111 · 25/07/2011 15:26

Bloody hell Hersetta good going!!
Can't believe we'll have another birth announcement this week, coming thick and fast now!!

Weighed myself this morning and have put on 2 stone, so an quite pleased with that, but hoping bubs comes sooner rather than later as just bought ANOTHER 3 bags of sweets for my hospital bag as I keep dipping into them!!
