Grin cramps getting stronger but no idea if it's early labour or just stretching as il get 3 in an hour then nothing for an hour. We've not said anything to DSD about baby possibly being on it's way but when she walked through the door just put her ear to belly to check the ticker (placenta) and she told us it's getting ready to stop this weekend.... They always say kids have a sixth sense lol

Hersetta · 23/07/2011 15:56

Contragulations MrsS and welcome to your girls.

I am officially now bored with being pregnant. Everything is now uncomfortable and a bit of an effort. Baby is 3/5th engaged and very low in my pelvis so by the end of the day my bits are very sore. No real sign of anything happening immediately though apart from braxton hicks have ramped up a notch or two and I now get them throughout the day and not just in the evening.

Still only 4 days till we get to meet him....we'vehad words and he has been served with his eviction notice.

Rehune · 23/07/2011 16:53

OH MY GOD MrsStevo that's so awesome! Congratulations! Waiting to see the pictures! xxxxxx to you and your girls xxx

aStarInStrangeways · 23/07/2011 17:30

Huge congratulations MrsStevo, lovely names for lovely little girls :) You must be so proud of yourself for growing two perfect little people. Enjoy them :)

Greetings everyone else - still pregnant here too, although had fab day out at Tate Britain with DH and DS today. Did lots of walking and now feeling crampy, but not sure if it means anything. I think she is fairly well engaged (I've had that 'smuggling a bowling ball in my pelvis' feeling all day). Seeing antenatal team on Tuesday so will see what they say.

wishwales · 23/07/2011 17:44

So thrilled for you MrsStevo! What a great outcome after everything you have been through. Morgan was 3lbs 7ozs and made it quickly through the special care unit. Congrats to you and your family. Chat with you soon.

CappuccinoCarrie · 23/07/2011 18:02

Huge congrats mrsS, gorgeous names for gorgeous girls, enjoy every moment of getting to know them, I'm sure you are :) :) :)

Having had many days of baby staying engaged it then went transverse again for 2 days last week, bump was so high and painful and the skin felt stretched to capacity, but now its gone head down again which is a relief. MW said not to worry before 37 weeks which isn't til next Thursday, and my next appt is Fri. We're going to a wedding that afternoon though so she'd better not send me in for any monitoring!!

winter I've heard that sixth sense thing about baby gender too, and most of the kids I ask (including my own) think I'm having a boy, which is what I think I'm having too...although when its been sitting high its been just like being pg with DD and I give serious consideration to the idea that it could be a girl. I really don't mind, I've got one of each and they're both wonderful. Its starting to frustrate me that this pg isn't like either of the others (which were very different to each other) so I really can't guess....hopefully only 3(ish) weeks til we find out!! Hope the sixth sense was right for you giving birth this weekend Grin

WinterLover · 23/07/2011 18:15

Well Capp she may be right average is 33sec every 7min.

Not sure what we'll do with her tonight as we have no childcare, and rightly so DP doesnt want to send her back to her mums incase they stop and nothing happens. Think we'll end up taking her with us if our neighbours aren't back.

impatient1 · 23/07/2011 18:18

Oh Mrs Stevo Congratulations! What fabulous news. Cant wait to see your pics xx

KTisPG · 23/07/2011 18:23

Seem to have started getting BBQ over the last 3 days. Doesn't hurt just gets hard. Was as soon as started the raspberry leaf tablets!

wow Mrs S! Amazing news about your little ones arrivals, looking forward top the pics.

I am 38 weeks today so on countdown now, would like an early appearance please little one, husband convinced he will come this week Hmm I am not so sure, no twinges, BH or anything as of yet and only 4/5ths palpable. The fat feet are not attractive and have gone to living in my flip flops, good job its summer! Enjoying the nice weather and had a walk around our local reservoir earlier, but then needed an hour nap when I got back.

Had friends and parents over last week which was nice, we currently live about 300miles from our friends and family due to recent move for husbands job, but I have made a few friends here through ante-natal clubs/new job which has been a life saver.

Good luck winter if this is it for you, exciting.
Have a good weekend everyone Smile

aStarInStrangeways · 24/07/2011 08:48

MrsVidic · 24/07/2011 09:34

Congrats winter! Marathon lady! (fwiw your bits may feel like they'll never be the same again but every day it gets better and for me assoon as the stitches dissolved I was back to normal- 10 days later)
Be kind to yourself- as you'll get a period of about 2 weeks where your Dp is in awe of you then they forget Grin take advantage

JenniL1977 · 24/07/2011 10:00

Wowee!! Babies are arriving! So many congrats to MrsS and Winter, well done :)
I'm officially on maternity leave, woohoo! Am bored already though after 2 days - I've never been the most patient person, and I just want to get on with it now! Although I don't have my just-in-case bag packed yet which I really need to get on with.
Home birth is all booked and sorted though - mw's were round on Thursday to finalise everything. G&A being delivered Monday (just have to keep DH away from it now :)) and need plastic sheets from homebase to protect everything. Placenta bucket is sat in the corner of the dining room - DH came home on Thursday asking, "what's that?" then went green when I told him!
KTisPG - have you got yours sorted?
Baby is 3/5 engaged, but has been for two weeks. V active - we keep getting a little foot coming out of the right hand side of my tummy. She's got hiccups at the moment. Lots of quite uncomfortable BH as well. Am 37wks on Wednesday, so she can put in an appearance anytime she likes after that!
Must get back to looking after hungover poorly DH (it was his birthday yesterday so he's snoring next to me like a good 'un after being out on the lash till 4 this morning, the house is full of boys all snoring too!)
Oooh, I'm so excited, these birth announcements are going to come thick and fast now aren't they!

Annie456 · 24/07/2011 10:03

Wow wow wow! I wasn't expecting to read 3 birth announcements when I woke up! GrinGrinGrin
Huge congratulations to mrsstevo and winter!!! Looking forward to seeing pics soon!

Lovely names too MrsS - let's know when you decide Winter.
Xxx

KTisPG · 24/07/2011 10:17

Well done Winter great news. Although selfishly I'm starting to be depressed about all the birth announcements :o . I'm only just 36 weeks and that is by the scan not my dates. By my dates I'm only 35 so am fully expecting to go into September. Am the size of a small barn and terribly uncomfortable now. Grumble grumble.

Jenni not got my HB sorted yet - have to see consultant mw on 1 August because of my previous shoulder dystoscia. Hopefully it will just be a formality so that I don't have to get bolshy :)

Leilandri · 24/07/2011 10:35

Congrats Winter on your baby boy. DSD was right after all then?! Wink
Let us know when you decide on a name, take it easy and I second MrsV, make the most of DP while he thinks you are amazing! xxxx

Firawla · 24/07/2011 10:46
