Ha! I made it to the next thread.

frak - as long as it's not taller than me on the birth day! Grin

yes, please, I was just thinking about how i'm starting to get big for the clothes that Katee sent me - I can still fit in the dresses, but nothing else now! Shock

nickelbabe · 07/07/2011 10:57

ttl - bowling balls Shock
ow!

KateeTheBump · 07/07/2011 11:08

I've so far found peacocks (non-maternity) and TK maxx dresses to be a life saver - all empire line so plenty of room for the growing bump. Was supposed to have my 25 week MW appointment yesterday, but has been postponed for a week, so no idea if bump is the right size or not (the sonographer wanted them to keep an eye on it as abdominal measurement was bigger than the head/leg centiles). Has anyone tried measuring their own? I get somewhere between 23 and 34! Not sure where exactly I'm measuring to at the top as there doesn't seem much space between bump and boob... though MIL reckons I'm carrying low... very confused!

Glad to hear all the new babies are well. Hope your DH improves quickly coaaf, we're all thinking of you Smile

frak I'm 5.9 and DP is 5.10, so we will probably end up with a six-footer at least! Grin

KateeTheBump · 07/07/2011 11:10

PS. when do the ribs start to move out the way? Mine have been feeling squished for a good couple of weeks if I sit a lot (which I have to do at work), and my yoga teacher said they'd move soon, wish they'd damn well hurry up!

fraktious · 07/07/2011 12:00

Okay, what do you want:

3 dresses - only 1 specifically maternity, 1 bias cut and floaty, 1 empire line and stretchy (can send photos if you want as I like bright colours, no to everyone's taste!)

2 pink tops, 1 cream top

1 pair grey pinstripe trousers

1 white waterfall cardi

Baby2b · 07/07/2011 12:06

katee I'm 33 weeks and my ribs still get kicked and squished constantly. For the tummy measurement it is normally from the pubic bone to just below the bust. The midwife presses my stomach to see where the uterus ends. Not sure I could do this myself. Oh, and it is fine to be plus or minus 2.

nickelbabe · 07/07/2011 12:19

ooh, frak - it's like a shopping list! Grin

the dresses please, and the cardi.

I don't do trousers, because i don't like the crotches Blush
and i think i'm okay for tops (for now! Shock ) cos i've got a few baggy teeshirts for later, if necessary.

thank you thank you thank you!

funnily enough, the clothes that Katee ssent, i never would have picked out myself, but I loved them as soon as i saw them. how weird is that ?! ConfusedGrin

fraktious · 07/07/2011 12:37

How large of norkage are you? I have a couple more which had bump room but no chest room (again non maternity).

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 07/07/2011 12:37

I'm with you on the bowling ball front TTL. Although thankfully I'm managing to keep the nipples in okay condition with just breast milk.

I'm starting to mix non maternity clothes with maternity. It's so nice to have more variety in my wardrobe again.

Thank you for the kind words re DH. The atmosphere in the house is much more relaxed without him here. It sounds a bit horrible, but it's true and for the best. And all going well he'll be home in a few days and in a far better headspace. In a way it's probably better its happened now while Alba is in the new born sleeping lots stage, rather than in the becoming active and demanding few month old stage.

nickelbabe · 07/07/2011 12:38

I'm normally 32c, so not huge.
:)

KateeTheBump · 07/07/2011 15:44

Do you have your scan soon nickel? Guessing you must be nearly at the 20 week mark. Any signs of movement? {just curious, no matter if not!}

KateeTheBump · 07/07/2011 15:49

PS SIL said to me if it feels like wind, but is at the front, its baby - being that the uterus is in front of your digestive system... so you may well have felt something and assumed wind iyswim?

nickelbabe · 07/07/2011 15:55

scan is on the 27th - 22 weeks.

I don't think i've felt the baby, but today I've been farting like a dog. I really need a poo, but all that comes out is air. :(
I did have afeeling this morning that felt like butterflies right at the front, but i was breathing deeply at the time, so don't know if was that or not.

vallinnapod · 07/07/2011 16:13

I had definitely felt the baby before I felt the baby IYSWIM - in that I had passed the poor thing off as wind!

KateeTheBump · 07/07/2011 16:15

Sounds like it was baby Grin

nickelbabe · 07/07/2011 16:40

oooh.
that could be exciting then Grin

i shall keep an eye out for further developments. Grin[squeeee]

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 07/07/2011 20:34

Nickel you'll be pleased to know that after DD spent about 2 hours in her first dress today (yellow and soo cute), she leaked poo onto it and has spent the rest in the day in an all-in-one covered in blue bears, that she inherited from her big brother. Grin And she looks lovely.

OP posts:
takethatlady · 08/07/2011 07:56

How exciting nickel :) You'll love your scan - not too long to wait.

Isobel has fed for 20 minutes out of every hour for the last twelve hours. What a little monster! It's lucky she's gorgeous :)

She's now sleeping, but I know how long that lasts [suspicious]. Somehow my boobs have taken the battering. Bit worried though as her stools, which had gone yellow (which is good) have now gone brown (which is not necessarily bad but there's nothing about this happening). I bloody well hope this doesn't mean she hasn't been getting any milk from all these feeds Shock!!!

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 08/07/2011 09:08

She would let you know if she was still hungry TTL. The contents of babies nappies are ever a mystery!

OP posts:
NearlyHeadlessnickelbabe · 08/07/2011 10:21

I hope i'm not supposed to be pleased that she leaked poo on her new dress Wink
see, blue bears are cool Grin

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 08/07/2011 10:31

No not pleased about the poo, just the blue bears. We've had a few things arrive in the post and it is sooo strange having little pink things in the wash basket!

OP posts:
NearlyHeadlessnickelbabe · 08/07/2011 11:31

we went through the clothes my friend gave me for the baby the other day, and because she had a boy, most of the tiny baby clothes are pink (not used, you see)(still don't understand this action of buying pink and blue tiny baby clothes)
anyway, part of me is hoping for a boy so I can dress him in all the pink stuff Grin[evil grin]

KateeTheBump · 08/07/2011 11:31

I got some great baby clothes in France (we had a bit of a spending spree, but that's what hols are for, right?) got some really cute stuff in the sales over there... even managed to haggle for a tour de france yellow jersey babygro! Stupidly expensive, but we had to do it Grin

Just got my fabric to make the nursery curtains this week, <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=i.ebayimg.com/09/!Bs1mGmwEGk~%24(KGrHqUH-DMEvS%2B,FRj5BL5iRMWkc!~~_35.JPG&imgrefurl=cgi.ebay.com/ALEXANDER-HENRY-2D-ZOO-Primary-fabric-yard-/120715675755&usg=__usa7DsV9w3QkasEStjvT0zZDvWA=&h=300&w=300&sz=38&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=gyw7GMb0RCs76M:&tbnh=142&tbnw=142&ei=ddwWTsHHIs_B8QOQ38QO&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dalexander%2Bhenry%2B2d%2Bzoo%2Bprimary%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX%26biw%3D1040%26bih%3D878%26tbm%3Disch%26prmd%3Divnso&itbs=1&iact=rc&page=1&ndsp=25&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:0&tx=25&ty=39&biw=1040&bih=878" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this is what we went for...

fraktious · 08/07/2011 11:34

She might be getting a lot of foremilk which can make the poo brownish green. How are you feeding? A side a time or switch side feeding?

NearlyHeadlessnickelbabe · 08/07/2011 11:51

ooh, Katee that's lovely fabric Grin
