Hello Ladies from Croatia,

CONGRATULATIONS Melly so glad Poppy's finally here. Would be good to see the pics of her but I can't get your link to work?

It's lovely here but so so hot. I know I shouldn't grumble really but I have struggled today. We drove down to Dubrovnik for the day and it was so hot (about 36c) we only stayed about 3 hours. The old town is beautiful and we walked about 3/4 of the town walls, I couldn't do any more. Then we had a really nice lunch on the main plaza, found a really cold fountain to top up our water bottles and then we came home. It is forecast to be hotter still tomorrow and about the same for the coming few days. Needless to say I am very glad of the hotel pool and the sea.

Love to all, will probably post again soon. We have found an internet cafe who wont charge us for using the internet if we have drinks there.... right on the beach with a stunning view and wimbledon on the big screen..... why wouldn't we?!?!?

x

lizandlulu · 20/06/2011 20:37

oh madkatz that sounds lovely, the place that is, not the heat! you just take you time and drink plenty[water] Grin

KLou111 · 20/06/2011 22:25

Sod off Madkatz don't want to hear from you Grin only joking!!
Glad you're having a fab time, make the most of it!!

So, the next drama thing for you all from me. Just been to the loo, wiped and my 'wee' drops are really really pale pink?!?!?!? Not discharge, just wee consistancy. Came downstairs, told DH, and he said 'you're not in labour are you?' now am really confused. Really sick of this pregnancy now! Help!!

Hey madkatz hope you are having a lovely holiday!

klou hmmm I'm not sure about the pink wee. Maybe a urine infection? Ring your midwife and just ask her.

Liz did your DH put the cot up?

Flippin eck I'm tired this morning! Going to set off to work in about 10 mins and I just can't be bothered! Think I'll end up sleeping on the sofa when I get home tonight lol!

lizandlulu · 21/06/2011 09:18

klou was it just wee consistency? do yuo think it might be part of your 'show'?

lizandlulu · 21/06/2011 11:24

iwish woohooo yes he did put it up!! took about ten mins, i thought it was going to be some major jobGrin

got the midwife this aft, i am slightly concerned about my blood pressure, i see stars every now and again when i bend downHmm will have to see what she says.

also realised this morning that i have booked to go to chatsworth 3/4/5th sept, if i do end up having cesarian it will only be 4 weeks afterHmm i am determined to go ,just might have to not wal very far! could hire one of them mobility buggiesGrin

KLou111 · 21/06/2011 12:49

Hi all, well no more pink/orange/brown here since I went to bed. Bubs has just started moving again even though have had breakie, then went to McD's or another breakie :) drank loads of cold drinks and ice cubed my belly phew!

Not sure about the 'show' thing Liz as that's what I and DH immediately thought but it wasn't like discharge, just wee like. Not had any pain or anything.
Re the mobility scooter, my brother with the broken leg has hired one lol!
Glad you got your cot up :) I'd say the stars are blood pressure related, I sometimes get them if I stand up too quick.

klou have you mentioned the colour to your mum?

KLou111 · 21/06/2011 14:30

Doh Liz ha ha!! Mum still on hols til Thurs, god I have missed being able to pick up the phone to her rather than bother the MW! 6 weeks has been a long time!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 21/06/2011 21:20

Woohoo that he put the cot up Liz! Mission acomplished! And Grin at you turning up a day early for your midwife appt lol! I have my midwife appt tomorrow at 8:35am!

klou glad you havnt had any more funny coloured wee. 6 weeks is a long time! Bet you can't wait to see her when she gets back.

I'm watching baby hospital on itv. Probably going to be crying!

lizandlulu · 21/06/2011 21:27

i am watching it too, i was just flicking round and it caught my eye, now cant turn over!!

the narrator has just said that one of the babies mums hasnt been for 15 daysShock over 2 weeks!!!!! what can be more important? even if she has 8 kids at home to see to, she could make time!

Iwish · 21/06/2011 21:37

I know Liz! I'm disgusted by that!! The poor little thing has just had an operation and she hasn't seen him for 7 days again. You would at least take your other children with you just for a little while!!

lizandlulu · 22/06/2011 08:19

well you could see what type she was when they showed her. she was too busy with christmasHmm

i am actually going to see my midwife todayGrin

Iwish · 22/06/2011 12:32

I know! Horrid woman!
I cried uncontrollably when that little baby died!!! How awful.

I went to see my midwife today too. All was well and she gave me a prescription for gaviscon thank heck! How was yours?

going to book an appt for a swine flu injection I think now. Have any of you had it?

lizandlulu · 22/06/2011 14:13

yes i have had the jab, think i was bout 12 weeks pregnant when i did.

just got back from the midwife, my blood pressure is raised slightly, got to go back on friday for her to check it again. she also said to just keep a check on my weight, my BMI is 40.3 and anything over 40 can cause complications with anesthetic. i didnt think i had put on too much weightSad must just be cause i was big to start with.

KLou111 · 22/06/2011 21:05

Hi all :)
Well, all the plastering done woooooooohoooooooo! Just got the smell of damp to put up with but it all looks fab!! Can't wait to paint it all now. Lounge almost dry, got a bit of filling around windows and doors to do (where he didn't plaster as didn't need a full plaster, but now looks shite cos the rest is so smooth lol) so I'll do that tomorrow and hoping can paint lounge Friday.

Glad appointments went well :)
Not even thought of having the swine flu jab TBH. Me and DH had swine flu 2 years ago, the week before we moved. Was bloody awful as we'd already moved all our furniture to Wales as it completed 6 weeks before our house we were selling, so we were on a futon mattress on the floor of the lunge, so was not good!!

Not watched the baby hospital, sounds heartbreaking. Some mothers need shooting!!!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 23/06/2011 10:18

ohh bet you glad its all coming together now klou what colour are you painting the lounge?

lizandlulu · 23/06/2011 10:50

chris just rang up from work pissing himself laughing asking if i had ordered a gum shield (all our post goes to the works yard next door as we dotn have a letter box) so i guess that labour thing i signed up for has arrivedGrin

lizandlulu · 23/06/2011 10:52

oh and also, ment to say that tesco has got a baby event on and some of the tommee tippee stuff is half price. the electric steriliser i have bought from boots for £40 is half price, also the bottles are half price.[grrrrrr] going to go tomorrow i think and get some bottles, think i have everything else i need

KLou111 · 23/06/2011 16:45

Got my gum shield too Liz, just fitted it, just need it to dry and I'll pack it in my bag :)

Just painting the lounge cream, as it's quite a dark room, even though we have a door and double window at the front and the back, it's still dark so as we're having a wood floor, need the walls to stay quite light :) Got to order a new sofa soon too. Going to get one with removable covers so we can wash them if bubs or dogs get them dirty (even though dogs not allowed on them). Going to get 2 sets of covers, one burgundy/wine for winter, and cream for summer (as we don't use lounge much now in summer cos of conservatory). One will be a sofa bed since we're now losing a bedroom to the nursery, which should come in handy :)
Saw that Tesco thing, got a leaflet from them in the post. I bought bottles last time, then took them back cos a friend got us a load lol!

lizandlulu · 23/06/2011 21:39

i looked briefly at the instructions, it looks abit scaryGrin

my bump keeps going rock hard, more often. i told the midwife yesterday and she said it would be the braxton hicks, and keep getting a pain in the right side of my belly, liek a stitchHmm

also keep feeling lots of squiggly feelings down below, i dont know if its hitting my cervix cause i dont know what that feels like, but keep getting sharp pains down there too.

very odd.

(also dad has gone into hospital again, this time they are not letting him out till they have regulated his tablets and he feels better)

KLou111 · 24/06/2011 18:34

Sorry about your dad in hospital again Liz :( Hope they sort him out this time.

I've been getting odd feelings down below for a few weeks too, and as for the right side thing, it feels like I have a foot or something there constantly, not quite a stitch feeling, but a very uncomfy feeling.

Well have had a very productive day this end. Glossed landing and 3rd bedroom skirtings, glossed 3rd bedroom door and surround, painted landing ceiling, rubbed down all the filling around doors and windows I did yesterday, and put first coat on lounge ceiling. Then I cleaned up all the bits of plaster around doors and windows (which took an age as they are wood not PVC so gets into all the grain) so am feeling very pleased with myself today.
Tomorrow, lounge ceiling, lounge, landing and staircase walls :)

Wonder how the new mummy Melly is getting on :)

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 24/06/2011 18:49

wow klou you really are getting on! you be careful not to overdo it. although are you sick of people telling you that?

do you feel well? no backache or anything? i wish i felt well, i am taking it alot harder than last time unless i have forgotten what it was like last time.

i was wondering about melly too, still not seen any pics of poppy yet.

KLou111 · 24/06/2011 18:57

No backache or anything here, just getting heartburn mostly in the evenings which is doing my head in, but nothing else really. Seem to have had a burst of energy now there is stuff I can actually do!!

I do keep getting told that lol! I do have a sit down every hour or so though :)

Baby having a right disco tonight, hasn't stopped moving since I got out of the shower an hour and a half ago!!

Iwish · 24/06/2011 19:57

Hello ladies. Happy Friday! Am I glad it's weekend!!! And to top it off I get to go back to see my little boy in 4d again tomorrow, woohoo!!

klou it's great that you have the energy to do it all. I can't be bothered lol! It sounds like you'll definitly be sorted by the time bubba arrives.

Liz sorry your dad is back in hospital again. I hope he gets better v soon. Bubba might be giving you a good old kick in the cervix, from what I've heard it's a strange feeling.

I'm getting some strange pain. It's when I walk anywhere and have had it for a few days. It feels like my belly is really heavy and the underneath of it hurts and even the bones between my legs. Would that be my pelvis?
