Great news greenlady and blueeyed! I'm waiting for my ultrasound right now! Running late of course. How can you possibly get 30 mins late by 10am? Sigh.

Hi every one, just had to change my clothes in the last few weeks. Can't seem to get any size 24 maternity trousers so have bought a belly belt which I can use to open my trousers up a little. Has any one used one before.

ghosteditor - when I had my scan last week we were an hour late! no water no food and then baby wasn't in a good position so had to go away for 20 mins walk around have something to drink and then come back. Had to get someone to pick ds 2 up as well as we were so behind. Patience is a good thing.

nanny I know - I'm awful with waiting. If they said as soon as I went in that they were running 45 mins late I'd be much calmer about it. It's the endless mystery that gets me.

However, all was forgiven as soon as I got into the scan. Definitely only one in there (lots of twins in my family so we weren't sure!) and all's looking good. The bub was wriggling around, yawning, crossing its legs, and waving - all lovely to see! My new EDD is 12 Jan so I'll update the list in a moment.

I've sent a photo of the ultrasound picture to DH via email so hopefully he won't feel like he's missing out too much. I was a bit sad in the (crammed) waiting room as I was the only woman there without a partner sitting next to her - such is life as a forces wife I guess!

Hi all, had my scan and all was well. Baby was sleeping I think so not much movement but we did see a little wriggle of the legs at the end! I'm a little further along than I thought so now 13 weeks and have now updated my EDD. Yeah! Have slowly started the process of telling friends and family and have also told my boss. He was really good about it which was a relief.

Glad to hear everyone is well and greenlady hope you're okay, that must have been quite a scare.

Congrats Wormshuffler.

I've my 12 week scan tomorrow and I'm very worried about it. The morning sickness disappeared over the weekend. My belly does seem to be sticking out a lot and sometimes I feel flutters but just want a bit of reassurance from tomorrows scan.

greenlady good to hear that all is alright. That must have been terrifying.

Great to hear about the other beans yawning and making good appearances.

Wow, so many exciting news! So nice to hear you are getting your scans and little ones are moving about showing already what they are here for: fun, fun, fun :)

I can't wait till the 13th of July come and all is well!!!! Today felt fainty because it is sooooo hot in the tube...had to go out and continue journey on overland :)

Keep the news on the scans coming ladies, enjoying it very much!!!!

Grrr!! Does ANYBODY ever listen these days????

I've had a hellish 2 days at work. You'll probably all know about it, after all it's been reported in the Guardian, the telegraph BBC (Breakfast News this morning!). Just take out the word 'queer'! It's a homophobic word we do not wish our children to hear and use (whether they hear or use worse in the playground is besides the point - most don't) and doesn't ACTUALLY teach the children about tolerance but about being a homophobic bully!

It's amazing how the media and certain script writers can twist words. Stonewall today didn't even answer the question whether 'queer' was an age-appropriate word for 4-11 year olds but then said that children ought to be taught about the word 'gay'. Yes, that's right teach the word GAY but NOT QUEER! How hard can it be????

Nice to hear about the scans though. Peanut has grown and my inny belly button has now popped!

will have to go shopping this week as i am now really struggling with my bottoms :(

having a hard week at work. not the biggest fan of grumpy kids just now. im a few hours into a 7-6day but the rest of the week is half days then im off for a week and a half! good times!
