Haven't had time to post in weeks, but hello to everyone and congrats on all the new babies! Hope everyone is coping ok and getting enough sleep.

Can anyone tell me how to access the Facebook group, and if we're continuing with an post-natal thread, and if so, where? Although I don't post much, I think I'll feel a bit lost without you all!

Thanks!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 02/07/2011 16:14

Bprincess - PM Milliemuffin or Nursesunshine and they will add you to the FB group.
Once everyone has had their babies we will set up a PN thread :)

IIRC - you had a CS? How are you now, is your scar healing up ok?

curiouselle · 02/07/2011 16:43

supersunny your post made me feel so much better, thank you so much! trying to just relax this evening and stop thinking about it for a while - crying is far too tiring :)

takethatlady · 02/07/2011 16:47

Thank you so much kara and supersunny :)

Well ..... a while ago I told you ladies I thought I had lost my mucous plug. LOLOLOLOLOLOL. I just lost it now. Let's just say I might have lost a bit of it (pea-sized) before but this was the size of a tennis ball. I didn't know what the bloody hell was coming out of me - for a stupid moment I thought it was the baby Grin

At least that means all these bloomin' contractions have done something and aren't just in my head!

NurseSunshine · 02/07/2011 20:00

Yay for gross mucous TTL!!

Wow supersunny am very admiring of how much excercise you do, puts me to shame! Now if it could just shake that baby out!

Curiouselle hope you're ok. You must be really frustrated, hope you can try to relax a bit and get some rest Smile

Come on babies supersunny and curiouselle! I hope things are moving along for both of you. DH is just out to get a bit of dinner for us because I've been having regular contractions pretty much since the plug came out. They were 7-8 minutes apart, lasting a minute, for about an hour and a half, and now we're down to 5 minutes apart lasting a minute. Trying to type this in the interim ...

milliemuffin · 02/07/2011 21:48

Ok, adrenalin has worn off and the true after pains have kicked in and I'm not kidding, they are bad :( I know they get worse with each labour but they're so strong I can't catch my breath. I'm taking paracetamol & ibuprofen but I think their effectiveness has worn off already Sad

NurseSunshine · 02/07/2011 22:05

Have you got any codeine millie? I've been taking it for the pain in my stitches and it does the job

Has anyone else who's had an epidural experienced any loss of feeling anywhere? Half of my right foot feels weird, like when the anaesthetic wears off after the dentist IYSWIM. I thought it was because of the sweeling at first but it's all gone down now so I'm thinking probs to do with the epi?

Omg Maisie hasnt stopped feeding since about 5 this afternoon and has hardly slept! I can't understand why she is sooo hungry and not sleepy! I no babies have growth spurts but I don't feel like I can keep up with her!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 02/07/2011 22:33

Crazy - DD has had a few days like that, it is bloody tiring! It does settle down though...

curiouselle · 02/07/2011 23:26

takethat wooo so excited for you! I hope you have a fantastic night!

millie oh dear, I haven't even thought as far ahead as after pains and as first timer have no advice but send soothing vibes at the least!!

Nothing happening here still, but am convincing self I am NOT down about it!

curiouselle · 03/07/2011 08:33

am excited to hear news from takethat!

crumbletastic · 03/07/2011 08:52

Maisie, I had a couple of days like that with Althea, it was very tiring but then someone told me to try infacol. I used in desperation and it worked a treat at bringing up some big burps and farts. I hadn't realised she was windy and was comfort feeding to relieve the pain, I've never been able to get much of a burp from her by winding her. I'm not sure why she gets so windy, I have had my latch checked but it seems some babies are windier. I don't know if this could possibly be the same for Maisie too?

crumbletastic · 03/07/2011 09:15

Whoops, obviously I meant Crazy

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 03/07/2011 09:23

Oh Millie I'm with you on the afterpains. They are still managing to take my breathe away. At least I can see my stomach shrinking.

Well I knew it was to good to last, DH's finger is no longer enough, back to feeding.

Good luck to anyone having a baby today xx

Morning all!

Keira slept quite a bit yesterday so when we came up to bed at 10 last night she decided to feed and poo for the next 5 hours.

I eventually laid her down on my bed next to me just to try and calm her down and we woke up just after 9 Shock

I've just had a lovely soak in the bath and despite the awful after pains I'm not sore at all which is amazing, still can't believe she was 9lb 1!

Really hoping all the remaining babies arrive soon!! Thinking of you all xx

Ps. I'm sure my emotional outburst on Friday was a sign, I just couldn't stop crying!

petitech · 03/07/2011 12:41

hi all, sorry for absence have barely had five mins, congrats to all arrivals and good luck to anyone waiting! how can i join the facebook grp please?

NurseSunshine · 03/07/2011 13:13

Sympathies on the after pains. They are far worse with your subsequent babies than your first, never had them with ds but with dd they were awful so took a low dose of codeine to take the edge off.
Confessions - dh's finger is also a useful comfort aid in the Thrace house Grin
Hey Petitech, hope you are well!

Jer79 · 03/07/2011 15:09
