Knackered we used to think that normal sized babies were giants when DS was in SCBU. I hope Dexter is ok. Are you in Lister?

NurseSunshine · 12/06/2011 20:59

Knackered - congratulations on your little boy!
I hope he is out of SCBU very soon!

takethatlady · 12/06/2011 21:06

Congratulations knackered, I'm sure Dexter will keep making quick progress :) An hour - that's pretty fast! And prisoner you dirty mare LOL ... perhaps I'll try that myself Wink. Congratulations ladies - it's great to hear of more of us popping!

On the subject of popping - quick question - I started spotting yesterday and now I have a constant damp feeling in my underwear. I feel the odd trickle but it's not at all enough to warrant wearing a pad. It's pink and watery if I press the tissue to myself ... is this just normal for 38 weeks, or should I ring the mw just in case it's amniotic fluid? It's clear and watery except for the pink tinges. I wouldn't have much to show them at the hospital except a pair of very slightly bloodstained and damp knickers, so I don't want to make an arse of myself ...

HalleLouja · 12/06/2011 21:08

TTL I would phone the delivery suite and speak to someone. I was told to phone them as they are open 24 /7 if I had any concerns and any amount of bleeding would concern me. But then I spent lots of time in hospital pre-Zoe due to bleeding...

KaraStarbuckThrace · 12/06/2011 21:23

I would call too, TTL, I am pretty sure they would rather you did.

milliemuffin · 12/06/2011 21:45

Congratulations Prisoner and Knackered!! so pleased for you both xx

I made the huge mistake of drinking some pepsi about an hour ago, my god I've never know acid indigestion like it. Feel physically sick with it :( feel like I should drink a load of water but I'm up enough during the night as it is.

TTL have you rung anyone yet? I think it's always better to ring, they won't mind and otherwise you'll just sit there wondering. Hope your night goes ok xx

sasamaxx · 12/06/2011 21:52

Wow congratulations Knackered. Sorry Dexter is in SCBU - hope he gets out really soon.

Prisoner no way did you Shock Shock Shock - impressive

Yes TTL I would def give them a ring

NurseSunshine · 12/06/2011 22:02

Drink a glass of milk Millie I always find that helps my heartburn

Am sure it's nothing to worry about TTL but always better to call them, otherwise you will just worry :)

Thanks Nurse, I've had some water and Gaviscon and it has eased a little. DD is asleep at last so I'm off to bed. She's getting teeth 15&16 through and she's been very loud and irritable today. Better they come through now though before baby arrives.

I've got a voucher for a mani/pedicure but can't decide when to use it! Before baby arrives as a nice pampering/relaxing treat or after when I have some figure back? WWYD??

NurseSunshine · 12/06/2011 22:19

New Thread Here

I'd go for it now Millie, especially if you're feeling a bit fed up :)
