How much water can one person have?? Its still coming out Shock

Barbie and Kara - I feel bad that you are both still waiting. I would wait another week if it meant you both got to have yours first.

BarbieLovesKen · 11/06/2011 21:22

Oh you little pet, how sweet are you? Dont be silly, m'love, am over the moon for you and am really happy you are going to experience a birth without induction - so much nicer. I remember being astounded at the amount of water when they broke with ds - probably because I had ARM with dd and hadn't experienced it properly before.

How you feeling? You ok?

Oooh so excited!!!!!

NoToast · 11/06/2011 21:23

Ooh prisoner how exciting, am very envious. Good luck to you

Sasa one of my best friends is called Celeste, I think it's a really beautiful name

takethatlady · 11/06/2011 21:38

prisoner you go girl! Get down to the hospital, take the pad (and go for the poo - I am a first-timer so my advice is totally useless but I'm sure it's absolutely fine) :)

Congratulations!

PrisonerZero · 12/06/2011 04:48

Just a quick message to say baby was born at 1.45am after 2 hours of labour and 3 pushes!

He weighs 6lb 14oz but has no name yet.

Merlion · 12/06/2011 05:06

Congratulations prisoner. So pleased it all went so smoothly for you and welcome little prisoner boy.

Sasa lovely name. Rosin has lots of elephants in her room.

Crumble hope you are able to bf. I find I'm actually quite enjoying it this time as it is a completely different experience to ds.

milliemuffin · 12/06/2011 05:10

Wow congratulations Prisoner!! Really pleased for you xxx SmileSmile

Thanks for all the comments re the itching, it's not severe and I think it is just cos they're a bit more swollen, my ankles certainly are.

Hope you're both ok Kara & Barbie, come on babies!!! xxx

KaraStarbuckThrace · 12/06/2011 05:28

Prisoner - woohoo, congratulations on your little boy!!

This is really starting to even up things now!

Plan now is to go to hospital as soon as PILs get here and demand a sweep.

Moog72 · 12/06/2011 05:39

oo exciting - congratulations Prisoner! Really happy for you and sounds like your labour went really well :)

Moog72 · 12/06/2011 05:41

I spent all yesterday have strong and qjuite regular BH and was hoping it was the start of something but they have stopped now and I have been lying awake in bed since 3am... how tedious.

Good luck with the sweep Kara :)

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 12/06/2011 05:44

Lovely news Prisoner, congratulations Grin

Goodluck Kara

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 12/06/2011 05:46

Gosh there's a lot of us about this morning!

At least now I've proven to DH it isn't my napping habit making me wake up at night, as didn't nap yesterday.

Moog72 · 12/06/2011 06:00

Confessions - it seems to make no difference whether I nap or not in the day - still can't sleep at night...

jasmine51 · 12/06/2011 08:46

Yay Prisoner congrats...can I have your labour please? I'm sure it wasnt as easy as you say but it sounds pretty straightforward.

Kara good luck with the sweep. In answer to your question, DHs job in Suffolk would not be a medical training job, more like day to day working in a military medical centre...but thats ok, from experience, the range of cases on a military base is quite varied and will keep him amused for a while. Got to wait for result of tender now though.

I want some signs that things are moving! LO is rolling around like a maniac so I'm guessing he still isnt engaged. Pressure in pelvis isnt there all the time either, no sign of energy surge, no wet signs, no pooing...boooo, if nothing happens will have to face the aquanatal class tomorow and the inevitable...'oh you're still here'

sasamaxx · 12/06/2011 09:12

Congratulations Prisoner!!

curiouselle · 12/06/2011 09:30

congratulations prisoner that does sound like amazing labour - 3 pushes wow! I can't wait to hear more details tho Grin

I slept last night so actually feel human which is amazing after how crap I felt yesterday and countdown till due date is now single figures - 9 days to go - even if the midwife thinks Ill be late, what do they know eh?! Wink

curiouselle · 12/06/2011 09:32

oh and good luck at the hospital kara I hope you get the sweep and they are sympathetic and listen to you!!

Thornykate · 12/06/2011 09:34

Well done prisoner & congratulations Grin glad that you too had a short labour I think it makes the following days much easier, I don't feel as tired this time.

TQ for all the lovely comments re Tegan, sasa I love the name celeste it was on my list it is v beautiful for a child or adult.

FWIW I would've gone for the poo too TTL better out than in Wink

takethatlady · 12/06/2011 09:41

Grin thorny :), and mega-congratulations prisoner what a fab labour! (Well, as fab as labour can be ...)

Good luck kara :), and I hope barbie is okay.

Still spotting here, a bit more today than yesterday.

Joannezipan · 12/06/2011 10:34

Congratulations Prisoner! Another boy to even things up a bit and I'm glad your labour was short even if not sweet.

I have to confess I lurked all day yesterday as I was in a foul mood, but after a 2 hour nap followed by 10 hours of sleep (8 of them without pee breaks!!!!) I feel more human again. Hooray!

So what's n the cards for today? Kara have you demanded your sweep yet? I bet when they do it you will be nearly ready to go.

Interestingly my food cravings changed yesterday I went from wanting all things pie based to wanting fruit and meat. Lamb chops and lots of fruit later my tummy is feeling happier with the world too. I also have a last moment symptom to report - pg induced carple tunnel. It's not too bad, I just can't open bottles and my fingers ache. Hmm I am getting bored with waiting now...come out baby it's much more fun out here and Mummy wants her body back!

misshoohaa · 12/06/2011 10:49

Wow congrats prisoner that sounds like the kind of labour I could handle!

Nice work ladies who managed to kip better, it really does make all the difference.
Good luck kara I hope they are nice and helpful abc get things moving for you.

We had a bit of action last night, about 2 hours of really mild contractions, I decided to go to bed as thought that was the best option. Woke up about 1ish and wandered around a bit to try and get things moving, then it all stopped went back to bed and woke up this morning with nothing! Oh dear.... We were so excited too but all a false alarm!!

8rubberduckies · 12/06/2011 10:57

Good morning - just popping on to say Congratulations Prisoner, and I would also like your labour please! Hope you are resting up and enjoying your first day with him.

I had a rubbish night's sleep as well last night; I have an awful headache that started about 9pm and I cannot shift, although I am downing water and paracetomol. I guess staring at a computer screen is not going to help things but I am very bored! I also have a bit of an upset tummy, but I'm not holding out for it to be a sign of anything, what with only being 38+4. DP is having a lie-in, so I need to stay awake until he gets up and can take over entertaining ds. I am not doing a very good job of it this morning, as the incessant rain has returned, so its been Cbeebies and DVDs since 6.45 Blush.

I am craving fruit as well Joanne, and bacon, on a not so healthy note Grin. [lightbulb emoticon}.... ahhhhh, that wll be why I've got an upset tummy then, the whole punnet of strawberries I ate last night Blush.

I hope everyone is well this morning and that we have some baby movements today, especially from Barbie and Kara, who, quite frankly, deserve a medal each.

sasamaxx · 12/06/2011 11:16

I agree about medals for Kara and Barbie

BarbieLovesKen · 12/06/2011 11:25

Hi all, thank you so much for all the kind messages, sympathy and support - what a gorgeous bunch you are Smile

So I'm still leaking these hind waters away - never knew this was possible!! Am having contractions on and off again for the past few days but in particular since this morn. Have lost what I think is the very end of the show. Am definitely not in labour though and am not setting foot in the hospital until Tuesday morning as my last visit was too frustrating and unhelpful. Am just trying to ignore everything for the min and organise everything for Tuesday. Just 2 full days until I'm getting my baby WinkGrin

mshooha how frustrating - hopefully that was just a sign of things to come

prisoner woo hoo!!!!!! Grin huge congratulations. Cannot wait for name. Hope you're feeling well.

8, hope you're headache buggers off soon

neenewps · 12/06/2011 11:30

Congratulations prisoner. Your labour sounds a dream - could I order one like that please. Grin

I am incredibly short tempered today. DH has left me in the car while he goes food shopping!

Am really quite ready for this baby now. I spent this morning thinking that he wasn't moving again - he is though. Sometimes I think I am going slightly mad!!

kara good luck today with your sweep. I really hope they give it to you and things get under way for you.

misshoohaa boo for the false alarm.
