Millie Yep, wide awake here as well. I actually have been asleep this evening but woke up needing the loo and now can't get back off :(

It's past midnight, I'm now 40+2 and I have the school run starting tomorrow . .. cue lots of 'ooohh, you haven't had it yet then ' . Going to get in some practise at being calm and deep breathing :)

One thing I will say about the contractions that I really noticed this time was how I could feel them in the tops of my thighs.

Wah nothing happening here apart from cramping and insomnia.

I've had a show!!!!

I went upstairs to try and get more sleep, and went to the loo and when I wiped I noticed a lot of clear snotty mucus, laid back down and then had some contractions.
Got up again, decided things might be happening quick google, to confirm it probably was a show. Have rung Labour unit who are in agreement. Still having contractions now starting to time them.
I really, really hope this is the day!!!!!

Things have ramped up very quickly. now cx 45-60 secs, every 2 mins, eep!

Have called labour unit they are sending someone out.

Thank you so much for all the kind words & encouragement, It really means a lot to me. Think I am surrounded by so many males at home I forget how at times like this a bit of female understanding is needed. I dropped DS3 off with BIL this morning & am waiting to phone the unit & check they have a bed for me.

thorny I know what you mean about knowing when its going to happen. I felt very weird the night before going into hospital, and my friend who was induced said the same. Lots of luck!

Oscar released from SCBU this morning and is now in with me on the post natal ward. I am hoping we can both go home today. I thought he needed phototherapy as he has jaundice but totally misread the notes (I blame lack of sleep) apparently it is below the levels at which you would do phototherapy. No other reason for us to be kept in. Keep your fingers crossed

X post louey glad it's not just me who worries about going in. Fingers xd that they give Oscar the green light to go home bet you can't wait :)

Sorry i didnt update last night bt got to hospital, Hung around in triage, got examined, was 5cm already. 3 hours later, baby born! Another girl - will post more later.so happy :)

I'm in bath mws been and gone, cx slowed down and not strong enough, not dilated much but they think it'll be today, plan to stick tens on after bath.

Think there is some kind of disneyesque convention going on in my garden this morning, bunnies, squirrels and birds everywhere - they're all lining up like they are waiting for a chirpy morning song from Snow White or something.

Got to sort out my tens machine - have the DVD and haven't sent off for the machine. This may cause me massive annoyance if I suddenly go into labour. Though I'm only 37+1, very jealous of all the ladies so much closer to 40 weeks than me, and the baby hasn't engaged at all yet (not that it matters, I know ...). I'm thinking I've got about four more weeks to go ...

Barbie Going to spend the day making membership kits for the overdue club . . . . . thought I would include body weight in chocolate or other such nibbles, a good book, a nanny for the other children if needed and somebody on hand to give massages when demanded

Well another day, another unlikely birthday for Bob. We have taken to singing to him in the morning telling him it's his birthday today so he had better come out (DD and DS find it highly amusing to do it!). DH has gone into work as there are no indications at all that things might be happening and he can't really work from home all week . .. and then possibly next week as well!

Right then, off to fill the day with making biscuits with dc's household things and pretend I'm nesting

Forgot to say I hope all you new mummies are doing well and those who now have 2 or more are finding it okay :)

Also forgot to say Labella how are you doing? Any movement on the baby front? I'm only 2 days over and already feeling like this baby will never come out, can't imagine how you and Barbie must be feeling!
