Sasa I'm logging in every day thinking of you, the end of your tether must be in sight by now, hope those damn contractions get you somewhere soon...

Have had some really fed up days lately, so my sympathies to all who are pissed off today. Given the big life transitions, physical discomfort and all, we are forgiven for getting riled about anything and everything. A free maxidress/shiny thing and endless understanding should be available for all pregnant ladies.

Almightycitrus Your annoying friend clearly has some hold over you that's stopped you dumping her. Is it naughty photos, details of your criminal activities or something worse? I think you should confess now. Grin

KaraStarbuckThrace · 05/06/2011 19:16

Crumble - yes I confess I am also in the naughty snacking club Blush

Plan tonight is Domino's pizza, comedy then sex Grin

Have had on off contractions all day but very infrequent/irregular. Been on the Wii Fit again today!!

NurseSunshine · 05/06/2011 19:32

Oooh crumble, dodgy tummy can be a sign of impending doom labour! FX your DH won't have to go back to school!

Kara sounds like yo've got a great evening lined up! I've had the Domino's Pizza, have just watched the abuse Panorama on iplayer which made me cry and there is no chance of the third thing but 1 outta three aint... Oh :(

Hi all, got home this morning can't believe I'm out so quick but glad to be home with ds he been very emotional!! Sophie is fantastic Df is mesmerised by her! I've been instructed to bed rest Df is off till weekend and has been brilliant so glad he is off!

Really hope every1 meets there little bundles very soon! I really feel for yous going overdue!

curiouselle · 05/06/2011 19:41

Just did final check of hospital bag and put it by the door aghh! 2 weeks to go on Tuesday and slightly jealous of those with twinges, contractions etc excited to hear everyone's experiences. Really hope this time is it for you Sasa I imagine this is getting frustrating for you.

I have my last day at work tomorrow (though I have been off the last week for half term) and then I can properly relax into maternity I guess. I haven't hit any nesting thing yet and haven't done any batch cooking, anyone else with me, or am I a bad pregnant person?

I like your plan for tonight kara enjoy Grin
crumble I have not been hungry but wanting to pick on food anyway Hmm
hope you had a nice birthday millie and were not too tired to enjoy it!
notoast I would like to join the petition for free shiny stuff for pregnant people Smile

petitech · 05/06/2011 19:46

Doh, I just wrote a long message and lost it, try again :)
Just had a painful ten minutes following a hot bath, am I ok to have hot baths now?! It didnt stay hot for long but I think it was poss too hot when I got in?!
DH making pasta for tea, yeah for carb loading and I'm completely with you on the constant snacking, why the h*ll not :)
DH loves my new dress, yeah :) and my new book is great, also I bumped into some friends whilst shopping and they text my DH who was at home saying how great I looked, yeah for lovely friends (think they might have expected me to look like a red faced rabid hippo but hey I'll take the compliment :))
Feel in serious social life planning mode - is this ambitious? Organizing family day at races for my bday in August (picnic etc so not too ambitious), tickets for open air theatre in July and a weekend away in December for DHs bday - grandma will baby sit yeah! Feels nice to have some things in the calendar for further down the line.

8rubberduckies · 05/06/2011 19:54

Evening all - I can't believe I've just logged on and no-one has gone into labour in the last 24 hours! Shock

Welcome home Gillz - I bet it's lovely to be back with your family Smile.

Thanks very much for all of your happy thoughts - I am still feeling pretty shocking - keep having panic attacks, which haven't really been a part of my life for 7 or 8 years now. I would really like to be able to enjoy these last couple of weeks of pregnancy Sad. Will definitely speak to midwife on Tuesday.

NurseSunshine · 05/06/2011 20:00

Glad you're back at home Gillz :)

Bet you're looking fab Petitech

crumbletastic · 05/06/2011 20:12

Yes, i've heard your body can have a good old clearout before labour nurse so I was a little excited at first but this was a going to the toilet every 5-10 mins for about 5 hours jobby so definitely wasn't it. Not a peep of action today though, even with my waddling round ikea for a couple of hours in the hope of getting things going.

Blinking heck curioselle you are no way a bad pregnant lady for not nesting if you haven't even started maternity leave yet, you have my admiration for sticking with work so long. Are you the last of our ladies still working? Put your feet up and have a little wine tomorrow to properly relax.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 05/06/2011 20:43

Petitech - hot baths are good, put a few drops of clary sage and lavender in to help!

Couriselle yey for last day at work!!

8rd - please do off load here if you need to, sometimes just writing down your fears help you put them into focus, and then it'll be easier to articulate them to your MW, IYSWIM?

Gillz - yey for you and Sophie being back home, your DF sounds absolutely lovely, stay in bed!!

Sassa - I still think you may be imminent! I just hoping that the same is for me and everyone else who is due/overdue/having annoying pains!

jasmine51 · 05/06/2011 20:53

8 I want to send you a hug. Defo speak to your MW about getting some support to deal with your fears. I mentioned earlier that I'm working through my own at the mo and its proving tough...but feels like a productive thing to be doing and I had a bit of a breakthrough today. PM me if you want any details of the process.

crumble welcome to the poo club. If there is a poo equivalent of a contraction, mine are about half an hour apart so I'm not as progressed as you!

Spent the afternoon with friends who own the devil children. Absolutely no snortpigness about this brood MOSP. The kids were actually only mildly out of control this time because the family have been to some kind of parenting classes. Thank gawd...they are enough to put anyone off having kids so I didnt take dh with me. Hes still got flu of course but did manage to push the vacuum around the house and wash the skirting boards (!) everywhere...methinks the wrong person is nesting!

sasamaxx · 05/06/2011 20:56

Just a quickie - I'm off my head - I'm going to head into hospital because these crazy contractions suddenly returned at 5pm at 5 mins apart - they are now at 3-4 mins apart. I know full well that they will probably still stop and I'll be sent home but figure I should head in to get checked out anyway. Hope everyone is OK tonight and some babies are on their way Smile

motherofsnortpigs · 05/06/2011 20:59

Just a quick check in. I've had 2 lots of acupressure this weekend - it has to work tonight or I'll have to hold on to this baby until after next weekend's wedding. Induction is not am option for me as I'm a vbac girl. I'll have some shiny things too, please. Dr Who and a Christmas pudding for me now :)

motherofsnortpigs · 05/06/2011 21:05

X-post jasmine Everyone would be disappointed to meet the snortpigs, you've bigged them up so much. Fwiw, DD2 was vile all yesterday evening from 5.30 to 9.30. I had forgotten she can cry at such volume for so long...

Joannezipan · 05/06/2011 21:05

go Sasa! Good luck at the Hospital!

Jas My DH has been nesting today too...this includes filing apparently! But at least I have space to put the birth pool up now. I have had a lovely evening, we had pizza and watched the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency on DVD. It is impossible to remain grumpy through an episode of that! I recommend it as a cure for the pg blues. DH is now running himself a bath, it would be mean of me to demand I get it instead wouldn't it... I could have one tomorrow, but I'm slightly scared I might get stuck so I can't have one while i'm alone in the house!

Good labour vibes to all who need them. I'm off to bed now - how lazy even after a 2 hour nap!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 05/06/2011 21:25

Heading upstairs now, but just wanted to say YEYYY SASSA!!!!!

8rubberduckies · 05/06/2011 21:32

Yay Sasa from me too! Glad things sound like they're moving at last Smile.

misshoohaa · 05/06/2011 21:36

Good luck Sasa really hope your little one decides to make its way into the world tonight or tomorrow - your last few days so hugely frustrating!

Joanne I know how you feel with the napping, don't feel guilty - get it in whilst you can. I was awake for most of last night with heartburn so really didn't achieve much today at all!

Wishing everyone else labour vibes! I'm getting some mild cramping tonight however after reading the posts from the last few days this actually seems to mean diddly squat, is it common for things to fade in and out so much??

NurseSunshine · 05/06/2011 21:43

Good luck Sasa really hope they don't send you home and this is it this time :)

OP posts:
AlmightyCitrus · 05/06/2011 21:44

Go Sasa!! Hope this is it!

NoToast No, honestly she's got nothing on me. I'm just too bloody nice for my own good. In fact, I could probably drop her in all sorts of trouble, but everyone thinks she is wonderful so it would no doubt backfire on me.

DH took us somewhere nice for tea tonight, a pub on a canal, it's lovely, and I went to the nearest lush shop and bought some lovely smelly things for myself as a treat. DC's don't go back to school til tuesday, so I can have another lazy day tomorrow and get them to wait on me hand and foot! Grin

Hopefully DH will be off a couple days next week, as we've still not shifted the pile of crap useful items which are taking up cot/crib space.

neenewps · 05/06/2011 21:56

Have been keeping an eye on the thread but haven't posted. Will try to tomorrow.

Yayyyy to sasa hope that this is it and look forward to your news tomorrow.

Am soo nervous about induction in the morning that I haven't done any of the last minute things I had to do. Instead I have locked myself in my room, watched tv, ate flapjack & looked at MN & the www.

I know this is my 4th but it's a bit wierd knowing when it's going to happen. Am going to try sleep now but apologies in advance for the amount of stressy me me me posts that I may make over the next 12 hours!

NurseSunshine · 05/06/2011 23:08

Thinking of you Thorny. You'll be great, and all the "things" can wait. Eat as much flapjack and post as many times as you need to :)
