Head round not he's round!

PrincessScrumpy · 28/08/2011 22:48

My girls tried to come at 33w but I wasn't dilating so they could stop it all. Been resting lots since.

I think I'm going to feel really guilty. dd1 has been the centre of our world for 3.5 years and I love her personality - I'm scared it will change. I told her off tonight for refusing to eat dinner. She sat on the step and wasn't upset but clearly just testing me. I felt terrible though.

BB3 · 30/08/2011 04:54

DS is now officially playing up! 3.30am wake ups for the past 3 days where we have tears until I (no one else) bring him downstairs and snuggle on the sofa. I know he's trying to work out where he fits in with everything and know he still had mummy when he needs it but jeeez I'm a walking zombie!!! And it's freezing at this time of the morning!!!

princess the guilt is the worst. She will be the proudest big sister in a few days and hopefully you'll be able to wonder why you were ever worried! I bet she will love helping you with everything.

34 weeks today (yay) this was one of my milestones (for babies lungs). Next one is getting to september so babies fall into next year of school. 2 more days.... After that it's game on, they can come whenever they like!!! Smile

Hope everyone is ok

xkatyx · 30/08/2011 09:47

Hi everyone I'm 20+3 with identical girls.

I haven't been able to read all posts but some, oh my goodness near the end sounds scary I already feel a tad uncomfy.

BB3 · 30/08/2011 10:31

xkatyx congrats and welcome to the thread. It is uncomfortable at this stage but then you look at tigger, silver and MrsS who (along with others) all have their babies and it does make it worth it...

xkatyx · 30/08/2011 12:04

Awwwww they will be pros by the time I have mine.

Do you knowif anyone on here has had a natural delivery with ID twins I'm really scared of c- section

X

tiggersreturn · 30/08/2011 12:12

Hi Katy.

Congratulations ! I think magic had her girls by Vb but generally with mcda they favour cs because of risk of ttts during delivery (or so I understood - mine were dcda and vbac)

Good luck.

xkatyx · 30/08/2011 13:37

Thank you. I think I maybe need to get over my fear and prepare for a c-section.

Eeeeeeek

BB3 · 30/08/2011 13:44

xkatyx I desperately wanted a VBAC but unfortunately these pesky babies have different ideas (both breach, placenta blocking OS) so it's CS for me. My advice would be prepared for CS then if you can have VBAC, it's a bonus! Unlike me who had heart set on VBAC and ended up getting stressed to death over CS. Ultimately you will be advised to do what's best for the babies and that's the only thing that got me out of my CS grump!!

ipswichwitch · 30/08/2011 14:24

xkatyx i've been told that so far a VB is still on the cards, we're having identical twins, and scans so far show placenta isn't blocking the way out. of course, everything can change depending on how the babies present and so on, so we're trying to be as relaxed about it as poss (easier said than done i know!) and just go with the flow, and for once in my life do as i'm told :)
one of the best bits of advice i got was to finish work by about week 28 (am now 30); dr told me i'd be getting too tired and finding work to hard, and boy was she right. glad i've took time out to rest and do a few me things before the kiddies show up. not being on my feet all day has helped no end with the feet swelling too

xkatyx · 30/08/2011 16:27

I think your right I will prepare for a
C-section, but hope for VB

I have had 3 normal deliveries but I suppose that doesn't mean anything of these babies don't behave.

BB3 · 30/08/2011 17:12

XkatyX will these be babies number 4&5 - wow I am in awe - am struggling with one toddler running around this pregnancy!

ipswich is right about work - I am 34 weeks today, have been working at home since 31 weeks and finish work this Friday and this is FAR too long for me - I should have finished ages ago as I am REALLY, REALLY struggling (I finished at 39+4 with DS on the Friday and he was due on the Monday and was perfectly fine so thought 34+3 would be adequate this time but BOY was I wrong!!!).

xkatyx · 30/08/2011 18:39

Oh my goodness yes 4&5 shock isn't the word for it. It's ridiculous because contraception doesn't seam to work for us .. Pill, condoms, morning after pill!!!

But we are happily married and wouldn't change them for the world even if I will end up in a mental home ha!

Also forgot to mention my youngest is only 7 months old. I find the "just dont think about it" method works for me otherwise I will completely freak out.

Ku body has had enough!!!

BB3 · 30/08/2011 18:51

Wow - you must be one of the most fertile couples in the world Grin still it's not a bad gift to have! Wow 7 months - you will definitely have your hands full! Crikey I'm going to stop complaining (well try too) about being tired with DS!!! So do you think you'll end up with more then? Bet it was a shock expecting number 4 only to find out you were getting two for the price of one! Was for us and we were only thinking about number 2!!

BB3 · 30/08/2011 18:53

If it's any consolation DH wants six children (he is not getting them) but if I do agree to get pregnant again and end up with multiples I could be with you on the going mental!

xkatyx · 31/08/2011 09:55

Massive shock finding out I was pregnant and the weird thing was I was having my hormone levels checked because I didn't know how far I was, and the hormones were not doubling and were low .. I was told I was having a miscaridge!
So when I went for a scan and they found two I almost fell off the bed ha.

My 2 eldest are 8 and 5 and are brilliant really don't need much from me no more :( apart from feeding and cleaning there stuff they like to get on and play out in the garden with there friends etc. And my baby is so good so when kids are back at school and the baby sleeps I do too :)

Wow 6??! We were only going for 2 and decided on number 3 but took us a while to decide and after her we said that would be it.

But here were are on number 4&5 ha ha.

Did you find when telling people they didn't believe you? No one believed me at all.

BB3 · 31/08/2011 15:32

i was physically showing from quite early on so people weren't surprised and just laughed!! Now though I don't even have to tell people I am constantly getting, 'Cor there must be more than one in there' or 'Are you having triplets' Seriously it's rude Angry!

DH and I were speaking about more kids last night on the phone and he thinks we should have another one when the twins are two - I reminded him about his comment about me not being pregnant again and his words were 'I'e changed my mind!!!' well chappy we will see about that!

Had growth scan today all good although babies being naughty and difficult again, now both transverse breech with twin one at the top of my tummy (placenta still low and covering OS) and twin two at the bottom. The radiographer said that if I do make it to 36 weeks she hopes she isn't the one scanning me as they are too difficult! I hope they are getting this all out their system while inside and are not planning to be this problematic when they arrive!!!!

BB3 · 31/08/2011 15:35

Also [schock] Shock Shock about them thinking you were miscarrying and then finding out you had twins!

xkatyx · 31/08/2011 16:52

The whole big family is lovely, bit hard when there young but I think when there older and have them all around us :0)

We are defenety not haven anymore hubby will be going for the snip. We have no more rooms left in our house now lol.

Wow some people are soooooooo rude aren't they!!! I used to get that when I'm was pregnant with 1 as I tend to get gestational diabetes which makes big babies and lots of fluid, so now I can actualy say yes it's twins without people gasping!!!

How far along are you again? Your babies aren't identical?

Before I was pregnant I only thought twins were twins but there is so many diffrent types and worries etc

BB3 · 31/08/2011 17:05

I'm 34+1 today with non identical DCDA twins so the easiest kind (apart from my stubborn and difficult babies!!!)

BB3 · 31/08/2011 17:08

Yes I like the idea of a big family and we are still quite young so have time to expand as such but need to think of the practicalities. DH wants to live between two countries and has business plans in both countries so we need to think logistically also!

BB3 · 31/08/2011 17:10

Sorry keep thinking of things... Are you sure the snip will work, given you history if luck with all forms of contraception!!! WinkGrin

xkatyx · 31/08/2011 18:14

Ah yes easier or less high risk but I'm sure just as hard to carry!

I will have to get tips off you when your twins are here you will be a pro.

So nerve wracking I can't wait till I get to the "safe stage" of at least 28/30 weeks I feel like a time bomb or something.

Oh my goodness hubby will have to sleep down stairs or something to guarantee no more babies lol we still not sure what happened with these we were bein careful!!! But what is ment to be will be and now very excited.

I appologise for spelling I'm using my phone and it's a nightmare.

BB3 · 01/09/2011 07:03

Morning all

princess just wondering how you're getting on? If you haven't already had them then good luck for the big day tomorrow!!!

xkatyx yes I don't think any multiples are easy to carry later on in pg because of the sheer size you get too but i do have less to worry about in terms of the potential complications which makes it a bit easier for me.

Happy September everyone, my final milestone is reached so now it's just waiting and cooking these babies a bit more. Hope all is good with everyone.

PeelingmyselfofftheCeiling · 01/09/2011 11:14

Ok princess, just HOW big are you?!

Am approaching 29 weeks and my 'waist' (achem) is pushing 50 inches. HAven't put on that much elsewhere, but my god I feel HUGE. Also DCDA. Am I going to have to just roll everywhere in a few weeks? feel like I might have to do that anyway as pelvis has just given up the ghost in the past week, SPD, lovely.
