Oooh, do tell more scorps! Much like your mum, at your stage in pregnancy I was on the labour ward in the early stages. In fact, I had just been told My baby would be here within 12 hours... (they were wrong, it was more like 16 Grin). Do I need to be on scorps watch instead of working tomorrow?

Scorpette · 20/04/2011 20:46

Give over, you lot! Wink I think it's a combo of bowel horribleness plus The Lad moving into a weird new position (like I said, bit worried the freaky pain earlier was him turning round breech, because there's been renewed bladder-bothering, which I've not had for a month). It could be the Spatone making me a bit constipated, who knows. Or he could be burrowing further down in my pelvis. Although, as we don't get the moses basket delivered until next Wednesday, we have been working out how to make a temporary baby bed out of the big Amazon box my deliveries came in! Grin

I was born at 8.07pm, so feel I am now somehow safe! Caspy, I thought stalking me WAS your job. Am offended and rejected now...

Rocket, you TEWTALLY have to set up your own amaze baby bootees business! Sorry for being greedy in my FB comments, but BobKate looked so edible in her little green ones that I couldn't help myself :) Mind you, it helps to have a gorgeous model, eh, Muse?
PS We know you're not a racist, don't worry.

OP posts:
Scorpette · 20/04/2011 20:56

Well, I was right about the bowel horribleness - have just done a (thankfully v loose) poo the size of a small baby! Double-flusher... Blush

TMI? Grin

StiffyByng · 20/04/2011 21:08

Hahaha. Not at all. My baby has been doing mad wriggling too for the last two days, but was confirmed by the midwife this morning to have an engaged head (yay!) so I'm sure yours hasn't done a secret backflip.

rocket I love the shoes! Can I FB friend you? Initials are CL.

Laurie I'm deeply jealous of your colleagues. They sound fabulous.

I'm holding off on a changing bag for now because if I end up using the sling lots I'm going to treat myself to a decent backpack.

Scorpette · 20/04/2011 22:23

Me want FB friend nice Byng Lady...

OP posts:
macaroonmum · 21/04/2011 07:45

Me too fb friends. Everyone. I wanna see those shoooessss!

Scorps Am so glad you keep us up to date on bowel movements

rocket good luck with MW appointment today!

My out-laws arrive today. They are staying for quite a long time and TIS has only taken 2 days off work around Easter. Fuuuccckkk. Nothing like entertaining your elderly in-laws. D'ya think anyone would notice if I just went out of the whole day every day? Maybe I could tell them I'm working?

Muser · 21/04/2011 08:30

How will I find you on FB msmacaroon? Want to PM me details?

laurielou · 21/04/2011 08:45

Morning ladies!

Scorps thanks so much for the bowel update Grin. However, isn't clearing your bowels another sign of imminent baby arrival?

Rocket I haven't been on FB to see these lubberly booties of which everyone is raving. I shall stalk have a look this evening.

LadyG Grrr to MiniG's dad. I could go on, but I'll behave. Nice comments re the travellers BTW Hmm. Good for you for saying something.

Well, today is my last day in the office. I'm armed with cakes-ahoy to hopefully buy my continued popularity. Also I fancied a donut.

I too have had, eh, loose bowels. However, I'm sure mine are to do with nerves & apprehension about clocking off today. I also have MW appointment later, so pliz all to be doing a little "Turn Baby Turn" dance to ensure my awkward monkey lovely baby is no longer breech.

I have enough cakes for everyone, so help yourselves. And some champers. Saved the good stuff for us Wink

AlpinePony · 21/04/2011 09:02

muse Her fb details are in her profile.

laurie Shock I thought you'd left already given the number of cakes & pressies you've received already! Grin

laurie I found when Bear was breech that the bump felt "weird" - because obviously his giant noggin was digging in to my ribs/chest. It was a completely different shape too - the bump I mean, not his head!

LadyGoneGaga · 21/04/2011 09:08

Good luck with midwife and last day, Loz. Hopefully has turned and you have a little arse under your ribs - literally, I don't mean your baybee is an arse of course.

Might feel a little bit sad this weekend. My Easter baybee should have been due around now Sad. But if I had that one then I wouldn't have this one. Sad

AlpinePony · 21/04/2011 09:12

LadyG When I had my mc, a friend told me that she'd had one but as a result she'd gone on to have her first-born. She said that he was the best thing ever and she couldn't imagine any other baby being "better than him". At the time I didn't understand, but I do now. I can't imagine not having Bear.

LadyGoneGaga · 21/04/2011 09:35

Thanks Alps Smile. I know, I can't imagine life without MiniG either. So am sure will be the same with this baby. I just feel like I have been pregnant for a very long time as wasn't a very long gap between losing that one and this.

How is Bear doing? He must be gearing up to start running around in next few months? I love it when thay start toddling! When are you getting him on the hoss? Wink

LadyGoneGaga · 21/04/2011 09:36

Oooh, meant to mention...new house is next to some polo stables. Am wondering if they want some help exercising when I have a functional pelvic floor again. Prob a bit rusty though.

Ivegotmrbitey · 21/04/2011 10:08
rocketleaf · 21/04/2011 10:15

byngsings you haz been added :o

lozzer Order book is still open Wink hope all goes well this avo and Bug has done a head stand. If not I will get Sprout to Have A Word. Enjoy your last day but enjoy your time off even more. Time for some hard core relaxy times interjected with mad spurts of nesting.

I have found the colour card online although not 100% yarn shop will stock them all. I think i am going to pick up some Purple as well as the Navy, and maybe some Red.

All good at MW, it was the Drop In as I can't go to my normal one this avo but she was lovely and has a meeting with my MW this morning so is gonna fill her in. All is good, measuring a wee bit small but still within tolerance and she is head down so that's great news. So next stop is the Home Birth chat in ours at 36 weeks Shock Also forgot to ask about hiring the pool so need to ring up about that.

I suspect I might be a bit toooo relaxed about all this. When do I need to get buggy and car seat delivered? And when do I need to write a birth plan? WTEWE app said TB should have packed a hospital bag last week. Surely that is far too early?

Ivegotmrbitey · 21/04/2011 10:47

I packed my hospital toilet bag today rocket (am 26 weeks today!) but I am procrastinating because the test I am running in work isn't working and I don't know why. If inspiration fails to come I may make a baybee's hospital bag list and make a start on that too. Or I could just pull my finger out and get on with doing what they pay me for! Grin

Have a lovely last day in work in lozzer enjoy the cakes!

gaga hope micro G gives you lots of acrobatics and dances over the easter weekend if you are feeling sad. Hugs and hair strokes lovely. Shall I just put my suitcases in the hall?

scorpelina I am going to charge the lap top ready for the bank holiday scorpwatch special. Will lay off the straighteners and release my inner Kate Humble to commentate if needed?

Scorpette · 21/04/2011 10:49

Aw, GG, you must be feeling a bit raw I can only imagine how it must feel (pure shite?), so I just hope it makes this little one all the more precious. Hug MiniG tight and gorge on Easter goodies :) We're here for venting and snotting if it gets v hard

Last night, I was going to extend my glittering offer of FB friendship to all ESH not currently under my stalkage there but my fucking wifi dropped out. So anyone who wants me, please PM. I'm pretty selective about FB, so I don't have 300 randoms writing 'LOLZ Hun' on my wall, don't worry.

Lozbags, have a wonderful last day at work and you have as many doughnuts as you like Grin (I'm inhaling a cream and jam scone right now). Just remember - you've overdone the crying when you're wiping the snot on the MD's lapel...

GG, I'm not into horses, but I am into firm-thighed young stable hands in tight breeches Wink

OP posts:
Scorpette · 21/04/2011 11:00

Bitey, that's very, erm, thoughtful of you. My brother comes over from Amsterdam today with his girlfriend, plus her parents and 14-yr old brother are coming too from London (should be fun, as they're Bulgarian and the stepdad doesn't speak any English and the brother is totally 'Kevin', apparently) to stay with my folks, so it would be really unhelpful timing and my family do love irony. Have already told my bro that if things kick off, I will be forcing the teen boy to watch it all, just to traumatise him for life Grin

OP posts:
StiffyByng · 21/04/2011 11:04

Hello, new FB friends! MM I cannot make your link work on my phone so will deal with it as soon as I reach a real computer.

GG sounds like a tough weekend, and God knows, being pregnant for the 40 weeks is eternity enough, so even longer must be a real grind. I hope the Ruperts can distract you.

Laurie I hope you get yet another stash today. I'm fascinated by all the goodwill!

Yesterday bloody BabyPlanet failed to deliver our dresser. We were told 2-4 weeks back in February. Finally got a delivery date and their monkeys supposedly dropped it and damaged it. (Not entirely sure I believe this.) So they have to re-order. No chance really of it arriving before the baby. I have nowhere but plastic bags for all the clothes and really need to wash stuff and put it in drawers and feel
ready. But on the plus side, my pelvis appears to have improved tremendously over the last two days and I can walk again! Obviously not very fast, but the chiro said he was very impressed this morning. I am basking in the relief but not banking on it continuing.

Ivegotmrbitey · 21/04/2011 11:05

That's OK score, am always thinking of others!

That's not true actually. Am thinking of firm thighed young stable hands now. "Breeches" may be one of my favourite words! I should add hurriedly in case the fates are listening that I said breeches not breech.

rocketleaf · 21/04/2011 11:08

Sorry geegee x posted and ran there. It must be very emotional time for you. Hope you enjoy your weekend though and get lots of cuddles from Mini and wriggles from Micro to help heal the sadness. (yeah, and?)

bitey you are scaring me now. Shock oh well going away for q few days so no point doing anything about it now. Might think about sorting it next week. I am leaving my notes in the car tho Just In Case.

LadyGoneGaga · 21/04/2011 11:14

Aw, you guys are ACE!

Bitey that is a bit scarily organised though. I'm not doing any of that shiz til after we move. My baby will be punctual and not like those annoying guests who turn up just as you're trying to shave your pits and put some mascara on

Scorpette · 21/04/2011 11:20

Bitey, I shouldn't have mentioned breeches either - a few mins ago, The Lad did some massive crazy movements and is now clearly transverse: can clearly make out his head on the left of my tum and his back and bum curled upwards on the right. Buggeration. Confused

I'd rock on a ball but only have a crappy old sports exercise ball and I got one with a low weight limit on it at the time as it was the cheapest and I daren't sit on it for long, as I squash it so badly Blush

OP posts:
AlpinePony · 21/04/2011 11:25

LadyG He was on the horse at 8 weeks I think and my mother appears to have acquired a pony for him. Hmm He loves going to the stables. He is attempting to toddle, stands and I hold my hands in the air either side waiting to catch.

StiffyByng · 21/04/2011 11:28

Are you really sure about transverse, scorpio? I've had days where I could have sworn I had a sideways baby but was told it was just doing star jumps in there.
