Truffkin · 18/05/2011 09:52

So sorry to hear that Cake and hope you are getting lots of love and support at home. Big hugs to you and Mr Cake.

Looking forward to hearing about the arrival of BabaBing and loving the planned ESH homebirth win. Congrats to family Bing.

Scorps how are you feeling today my lovely? Am signing up for my place in the scorpwatch viewing area. (just for the signs you understand, not for the actual birthing. Am firmly in denial about all of that shiz and planning to stay that way for some months to come) I have my pom poms at the ready for when you need us to start our cheer Grin

As we all could probably have predicted, my boasting joy at no sickness was short lived and yesterday was a bugger of a vom day. I wonder if I am allergic to work Hmm I had to get off the tube yesterday (above ground station luckily) as had a bit of a cold sweat / dizzy spell. Turns out it was lucky I had a plastic bag with me - yeuch. Am hopeful for trying some different drucks as the cyclizine didn't work for me. Still, am enjoying the stories from women at work who could barely notice they were pregnant due to their exceedingly good health, especially from the woman who suggested that pregnancy-related sickness is 90% psychological I am also an absolute burp machine, which is proving quite disturbing for TGB as I have never been a very good burper. At least he gets a good snigger

Ginfox · 18/05/2011 10:15

truffles one of the best things about being on ML is not having to listen to stupid comments and horror stories from colleagues. They do seem to fall into two camps - those who had the labour from hell, and those who had their kids before pain was invented, and don't see what the fuss is about.

I'm pretty sure pregnant women are exempt from GBH charges, but you may want to check that with a qualified professional before you start dishing out right-hooks.

rocketleaf · 18/05/2011 10:25

cakes I am so sorry to hear that, :( Hope you and Mr cakes are looking after each other.

Welcome to the world babyChandler Excited about another ESH HB, although sounds like it was a bit of a marathon! Looking forward to hearing all about it! clucky I really, really hope so, dont want to jinx it but things are looking good so far.

truffs I thought I was allergic to work, I would be fine on my days WFH and at the weekend and feel like utter shite when I went in to the office. (although didnt actually puke as much as you) I figured out it was tiredness/early starts and the only way to combat it was going to bed stupidly early the night before, like 8pm. Might be worth a try? I know it ends up seeming like you have no life but it won't be forever and it did seem to work. On the other hand you could just puke on that stupid work colleague, see how psychological she thinks a lap full of vomit is!

owlbooty · 18/05/2011 10:29

Morning sickness is psychological? Pliz barf on her shoes, I beg you, for the good of womankind.

Happy due date Scorpula - more pineapple, hmm? Hmm?

Hurrah for the safe arrival of MiniBing and extra yay for the HB :)

I am crying at everything at the moment. It is highly embarrassing. I almost wailed at the NCT class last night. Then again in the car this morning because of some song on the radio. I think I need more sleep.

rocketleaf · 18/05/2011 10:33

Crap!! Forgot to say Happy Due date to ourscorps Who'd have thought it. Glares at scorps crotch.

HTFU Wink

MadameBoo · 18/05/2011 10:43

Happy due date Scorps. I am mega mega excited for you - think maybe because this is the first new ESH baybee I might actually get to see pics of (I think some of the older ESH must think I'm a loon judging by the politely ignored requests on Facecrack!). Actually ask Rocket - we've been friends in RL for 20 years so she'd probably agree :o

Huge congrats to Stiffybyng on her new addition.

Scorpette · 18/05/2011 12:24

I'll just get me rat ahhht and switch on the webcam, shall I? Grin Cheers, EShies, but there's no sign of anything happening so far (except me writing a list of which relatives to murder first if people don't stop ringing to find out if I've had it yet). Had a spicy curry and 600 pineapple lollies yesterday and let TYF pummel the fuck out of my cankles in the vain hope he'd hit that clever reflexology spot, but to no avail. I have a dermatology appointment later in the hossie I'm not due to lay in, so that might kick off an inconvenience-lay, who knows?

(Appointment is v depressing - don't want to go into details as it's been upsetting me too much to talk about here or anywhere but have developed an insanely rare skin problem that's going to leave my lower stomach permanently disfigured, and which could actually affect how much I can move and use my tum once things are back to normal. I've had such an easy pregnancy! Hmm Sad)

Scorpette · 18/05/2011 12:29

(Sorry, that was a bit depressing when everyone's so excited for me. Am totally grateful for all the lovely wishes and excitement on my behalf :) )

macaroonmum · 18/05/2011 12:34

Owlie Me too! I blub at the stupidest of things. S'obviously just hormones 'cos I is a DHB most of the time
I couldn't watch a link someone put on another thread without sobbing in delight- shall I post it here? It's women having baybees :)

Bitey I forgot to say that I hope things go well with the consultant. It must be really awful having that to worry about so have a big un-esh like hug (with a buttock grope just for distraction purposes)

Scorps WTF?? your poor body :( methinks if you want another one you might want to investigate surrogacy...

owlbooty · 18/05/2011 12:34

Aw, bugger, Scorps that sounds reet bloody miserable on top of all the other shite you have had during this pregnancy. On the plus side, you know your waters are going to go the minute you step into the dermatology clinic today.

Best take the bag with you, eh? :)

Ivegotmrbitey · 18/05/2011 13:27

Flaming internet just lost very long post Angry

So in summary: Thank you for kind supportiveness lovelies slags

score you must be due a very easy sneezy lay and mellow baybee after the most shocking diffedness ever!

truff where is your colleague? Lets see if this bunch of fives is mostly in her mind?

I am starting parent craft classes next week. Have no idea what parent craft is but hope it doesn't involve pritt sticks and glitter. Actually that is a total lie, I would be chuffed if that's what happens!

Ivegotmrbitey · 18/05/2011 14:56

It is very quiet in here..... is there a cluster lay occuring??

owlbooty · 18/05/2011 15:25

Did you give the consultant what for then, Bites ? Or are they going to see you again?

If you get an extra scan I fully expect you to see Biteybach in his John Travolta outfit, giving it welly.

Ivegotmrbitey · 18/05/2011 15:36

Not seeing them yet boots got to wait for appointment, hopefully won't be too long. Seeing as young bitey has given me flesh coloured flares instead of ankles I think the odds of him in a flared all in one suit are pretty high!

I went on spinning babies website last night. What I thought was a head, or possibly an elbow, turns out to be an arse. I am sure this means nothing and does not reflect badly on my mothering skills Hmm

owlbooty · 18/05/2011 16:10

Eh? How do you know it's an arse? Although the fact you could not tell an arse from an elbow is most excellent Grin

I am convinced I know which way up Owlet is but this is mainly because he seemed to be doing star jumps this morning and I counted at least three sticky outy bits, some of which I am sure were feet. I am going to have a look on this website and find out more.

Ginfox · 18/05/2011 16:39

Oooh good website Bitey. Good sitting and lying positions were mentioned briefly in our antenatal classes , so helpful to get more detailed info. Is parentcraft the same as antenatal? Sounds as if it should be "how to be a parent" rather than "how to push a baby out".

Have been sorting out nursery and washing clothes and bedding today. Was doing fine until I unpacked some newborn size vests and was freaked out by how small they are. I'm quite tall, and was over 9lb when I was born, so have been assuming the foxcub will be a substantial size. Anyway I've got ages yet

When was Scorps appointment?
