OK, well we've needed a new thread for ages so I've taken it upon myself to start it.

Good luck ladies - we are nearly down to the last month

35 + 2 or should I say "T minus 4wks 5 days"!

Ok have read and can only rememebr bits!
FB: hope baby is ok.
SH: I have a 4 year old DSD who is a pain when it comes to eating. DS really likes the nestle cookies in a bag with no milk and i only offer toast, yoghurts, fruit or cereal. I really wouldnt worry too much about breakfast though and be strict cos most schools offer fruit at 10am. Maybe just give small carton of fresh fruit juice?
Kangel: OUCH to the wasp! Im terrified of wasps and would really painc if i got stung at the moment!
Have done 5 loads of baby clothes and bedding and nappie washing today! got to iron it all tomorrow!!!
My mums insurance money came through too so bank will look lovely till i pay for the funeral!!
Am walking around wearing one of my mums tops which is massive cos she was a size 32! Its a great comfort today though!
Ok am gonna get personnal now. Since my 28 week scan Dh hasnt touched me at all. Had a go last night about the lack of sexual activity and he just got all moody on me SO is it because the baby is more real or what! Im confused and unfortunately right now i need that physical contact from him! Anyone else getting this??

sweetheart · 02/11/2005 14:29

bonkerz - yes, I probably shouldn't get so wound up about it. I just don't want to ignore it though as she will think it's acceptable behaviour. I think she should get a punishment for not eating 3 regular meals a day. I don't want her to grow up into a fussy eater!

Regarding your dh - I know that last time I was pregnant dh was very concerned about hurting the baby. Even though I explained to him it wasn't possible he was still reluctant in the bedroom department. This time round he's got a bit more common sense .
Try talking to your dh and asking him if there is a problem. Have you told him that you could really do with some cuddles at the moment? Whenever I feel like a cuddle I just tell dh I'm "feeling hormonal" and let my eyes well up a bit. He's a typical bloke and hates it when I cry so he always dishes out the cuddles to prevent what he considers an uncomfortable situation

george32 · 02/11/2005 14:57

Crikey, you have been chatting a lot! I went back to bed & have stayed there til now
Feeling really grim today so don't think it's just tiredness after all.

Bonkerz, maybe he is afraid of hurting you as you have been feeling so sore? I've warned my DP off since this pelvis thing started

Kangel, sorry your work are being so rubbish about your hols. Do you think it might be wrapped up in the redundancy thing?

ei23mummy · 02/11/2005 16:33

wheres everyone gone??

flutterbee · 02/11/2005 19:43

Hi Ladies,

I'm back, got admitted intohospital at about 10am and didn't get home till about 5.30pm. What a crappy day. Well baby is fine and my waters haven't broken (they don't think) after a very very painfull internal they agreed that there was a lot of water coming from somewhere but not sure where went for a scan to measure the fluid around buba and that came back a little lower than before but fine, so the Dr told me he was confused thought it would be an infection gave me a presciption and sent me on my way. 7 and a half hours for that, next time I'm not bothering going
ei - I know what you mean about the annoying DH thing mine today was very concerned for the first hour but then developed a huge mood just because he was really busy at work and I was keeping him from going, I actually told him to leave at 1pm and go to work.....and he did did you know that it is possible to get away with murder when your hormones are all over the place. I did get a really nice apology when he came home tonight though.
As if things couldn't get much worse I have just realised tat I shall spend half tomorrow at the hospital because I have my bloody 2nd GTT. WHOOOOOPPPPEEEEEEE FOR ME

On the upside I do have my first baby class tomorrow night.
Hope you are all OK and having better days than me.

33+3

ei23mummy · 02/11/2005 23:19

glad to hear all is well with you now flutter! its so annoyin when they send you away after keepin you waitin for ages only to tell you that theres nowt wrong but an infection!! bloody hospitals eh!!
anyone around? im bored!

MINNIE1 · 03/11/2005 08:44

flutterbee
Glad all is well and you have a flying visit to the hosp today..

EI,
How are you feeling today?

How is everyone today??

george32 · 03/11/2005 08:51

Flutter, I'm glad it wasn't your waters broken but hope the infection clears up soon.
Poor you having to have a 2nd GTT test. Mine was all clear (see, my moms 2 minute test was just as accurate!!) so it's full steam ahead with the choccy eating for me!!

Well, I ended up lying on the sofa eating jelly babies & watching a film for the rest of yesterday afternoon, then football in the evening and went off to bed where I actually slept (despite having snoozed for most of the day). Feeling so much better today. Wondering if I just wore myself out on Tues?

Ei, how are you feeling now? Hope your day is better today

DQ, where have you disappeared to? I hope you are doing OK and just recovering after your hectic week last week. Nemo, you've done a runner too. Please let us know that you are both OK. I have a steaming hot cup of choccy & cream waiting for you both

sweetheart · 03/11/2005 09:06

OY DQ!!! I've got a bone to pick with you!!! That e-mail you sent me had me blubbing like a baby at my desk this morning! Everyone in the office now thinks I'm a total hormonal wreck!

Mind you, I think they thought that anyway

Flutter - so glad to hear everything is OK. I though we were gonna have our first bubba there for a second!

kangel · 03/11/2005 09:19

Hi all,

Glad all is ok FB, what a horrible day you had though.

Well my boss managed to walk in late yesterday afternoon and I WON!!! I got what I wanted and got it in writing. He wouldn't give anything away as to redundancies on Friday but I wont be here tomorrow to find out so I will have to wait till Monday to see what happens.

Went for my hospital visit last night - God how hot do they make these places, I felt so ill and faint walking round the labour wards - but the birthing pool room is fantastic! They have lights that change colour and are sooooo soothing and the pool is massive and so deep (didn't think that they were so deep) not ever seen one before. It was all so clean but that hospital smell....I can't stand it!!!

Must dash need to get through tons of work before I leave for midwive appointment this afternoon.

If I don't manage to get on here again have a fab weekend all of you!!xxx

scully · 03/11/2005 09:23

It was a lovely email dq! How was breakfast this morning sh?
I left work at 3pm yesterday, had stomach cramps that got progressively worse as the day went on. They are still lurking now but not as bad. Think it's just the iron tablets messing me up again, going to give them a rest for a few days I think & see how things are.
fb, good it wasn't your waters at least; sounds like there are a few of you who should be taking it easy....
I have a hospital tour tonight, haven't had a look around since I was about 8wks pregnant, & dh wasn't with me, so will be good to have another look around (different hospital to where dd was born)
& found out yesterday that a girlfriend is 5wks pregnant, due 4 July Thrilled for her but I couldn't believe the due date, our babies will be 6mths old by then

sweetheart · 03/11/2005 09:46

I was only joking btw DQ!!! It was a lovely e-mail.

Scully - dh brought some melon yesterday so dd had that for breakfast today. So for 1 day at least there were no arguments. We have talked to her "again" and reminded her that there will be punishments if she doesn't eat her meals I.e. no TV, early to bed etc. I'm sure next week I'll be back to square one but at least I'm not stressed today. She phoned me yesterday after school to say "sorry mummy" and "I love you". It was very sweet and made my heart melt!

Just seen the e-mail DQ, it's lovely. I think I need to keep it for when this little one is driving me nuts!!

Glad you got your hols sorted Kangel, that must put your mind at rest slightly. Have a lovely weekend.
SH, how many days left for you now? Not long is it?

Right, completely off on a different tangent.....I have an idea for DPs Christmas pressie. I want to make him up a basket / hamper of things from the baby (& me). Ideas I have so far are baby book for dads, bath toy things (he wants to do all the bathing), new dad cuff links, photo frame.
I need some more ideas please if anyone has any........

sweetheart · 03/11/2005 10:08

george I have 6 days left - 5 if you discount next Friday on account of the fact I will be getting spoilt

I CAN'T WAIT !!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
scully · 03/11/2005 10:14

shhh, sh, I don't need to hear that you finish so soon
george, what a lovely gift idea. maybe include something to help him stay awake when he's feeling sleep deprived

george32 · 03/11/2005 10:20

Ooh, good idea Scully, he loves fresh coffee so I can get him some more of that.

The countdown is definitely underway then SH

sweetheart · 03/11/2005 10:39

george,

They have these in America They are Daddy Duty Belts, everything needed to change a nappy in a little pinny!!!

If he's a coffee drinker how about getting him a mug made which has a piccie of the baby on it and "Happy Christmas Daddy" on the back.

I gave my mum one with my scan picture on it when I found out I was expecting dd. It was for her birthday and read "I love my Grandma"

OP posts:
sweetheart · 03/11/2005 10:40
