Hi Ladies,
Well life has deffo changed for me over the last week.
I went into labour late Thursday/early Friday last week and went to hospital at 3am they told me that I wasn't in labour but was just having niggles (the most painfull NIGGLES I have ever had) but they admitted me anyway because of my waters having gone. Hubby went off to work a few hours later and I was left having only been given a few paracetamol!! I was in so much pain the Dr came and examined me again and revealed I was fully efaced (spelling) and 2cm dilated
I gave birth to a beautifull baby boy at 8.08pm on Friday 11th November weighing 6lb 4oz even though he was only 34+5.
He has been in special care all week and I have been in hospital with him which is why I havn't been posting DH has been at our side for over 12 hours a day!!!!!
But I am pleased to say that we were both discharged today as he has done so well and has established breast feeding already even though they fed him through a tube to begin with, he also had slight jaundice but has managed to get rid of that as well, all in all I think I have a real fighter on my hands.
I am totally exhausted and have been tearfull every day, but every time I look at my little baby George it all seems worth while.
His full name is George Nicholas Nii - Koi Ashie
Nii - Koi is Ghanian and means born on Friday as Daddy is Ghanaian so we thought it would be nice to go with that tradition.
He has just been fed and is sleeping peacfully in the front room, it is really really hard work and bound to get harder but I just can't explain how happy he makes me and Daddy.
I have photos and will post them on our pics site tomorrow if all goes well, hope everyone else is keeping themselves happy and looking forward to there big day
Mummy, Daddy and George send our love
