OK, well we've needed a new thread for ages so I've taken it upon myself to start it.

Good luck ladies - we are nearly down to the last month

35 + 2 or should I say "T minus 4wks 5 days"!

Nemo1977 · 10/11/2005 10:55

morning all
minnie glad you had a good sleep

george take it easy on the furniture front but glad carpet is nice.

FB hope you are ok

well I am currently sitting in the bedroom waiting for the carpet fitters due between 12-2. It makes me realise how lucky we are not to live in a bedsit as adam is getting very fed up of being relugated to upstairs and dh and I are a bit on edge with a trapped feeling. There is nothing we can do apart from sit up here and wait..lol It is our 4th wedding anniversary today and I forgot but dh got me a card. So I improvised and dug out one of his stocking fillers.

MINNIE1 · 10/11/2005 10:59

Nemo1977 · 10/11/2005 11:20

pmsl ninah to be honest i think with way things had been it was last thing on my mind so I was stunned by the card and the fact he had remembered to write it out.

ninah · 10/11/2005 11:21

Does he have brothers?

Nemo1977 · 10/11/2005 11:23

no hes an only child so even more reason to be self absorbed..lol Also got a gorgeous bunch of flowers from his mum.

MINNIE1 · 10/11/2005 11:29

Well done to him i say!

My DP forgot my b-day once (needless to say it is now tattoed onto his brain) I was living with 2 other girls at the time and they were doing an evening of dinner and wine for me.. DP none the wiser that it was my b-day came to the dinner (thought he was in for a feed of nice food) The 2 girls gave me cards and he was looking at them like his eye were about to pop out of his head!! (It was soo funny)He then said i'll buy the dessert and ran to the card shop!!
But i got such a laugh out of it i didnt need a pressie!! but i got a dirty wkend away..

ninah · 10/11/2005 11:31

wowee! how lovely
We've been together around four years, maybe a bit longer but NO idea when we met, it's all a bit of a haze. I do remember him trying to give me his business card in a pub and asking me to call him and me thinking it was too corny for words he said 'if I give you this will you call me' I took it, pretended to think and said 'I may ... or I may NOT' and handed it back
those were the days
He eventually badgered me into a dinner date after I'd had a really bad day at work, although I tried my best to get out of it. I then decided he was an OK chap

Nemo1977 · 10/11/2005 11:34

we have been together 10 yrs now [well from next month]actually that sounds really scarey..pmsl

scully · 10/11/2005 11:41

happy anniversary nemo, very funny that you forgot and he remembered ; lovely his parents remember as well.
also tired today, there was paint drying in dd's room so she slept with us last night. I slept ok but not as deep a sleep as I have when she isn't in between us.....she thought it was great though and didn't want to get up this morning
Well I'm off tomorrow, so today is Friday for me Hoping to go to the movies tomorrow morning and then a midwife appt tomorrow afternoon. & my maternity cover starts on Monday so I have 2wks of training to think about.....but it's in a good cause at least

ninah · 10/11/2005 11:54

10 years is amazing, I think this is the longest relationship I've had and that includes a brief marriage
Oh dear
I'd love to do the growing old together routine (well in the distant future, obviously!)

ebbie22 · 10/11/2005 12:36

Happy anniversary nemo, hope all is ok with everyone, fluter how did you get on today?

Just a quick question, got bloods bk today and are now 10.5for my iron level is that stilllow as ran outof tablets last week and not sure what to do...

flutterbee · 10/11/2005 13:42

Hi Ladies,

Had my appointment today, still no fluid round baby I'm loosing it as soon as it replenishes, my tempwerature is fine so the antibiotics are doing there job. I had another internal that hurt like hell
Since about 4pm yesterday I have had the most painfull bach ache and period type pains ever so bad I am unable to move sometimes (in fact I just had a little cry about it because it hurts so much) the Dr has warned me to keep an eye on it as this could be the onset of labour. If this is how much it hurts now I have no idea how I will cope with the real thing

Can't believe this time next week I will have a baby, it really does not seem real.

Babygibbon if you are due on Xmas day then you will be 34 weeks on Sunday exactly 1 week after I'm due.(was due)

34 + 4

ebbie22 · 10/11/2005 13:43

oh,scary but exciting too....Could be the start oflabour, are you still leaking then hun?

scully · 10/11/2005 13:45

Mine was also 10.5 when I was last tested, and my midwife said 11 or over was ok, so I was just below what it should be. No harm in taking them, if they don't upset your system. Mine weren't agreeing with me at all so I stopped them last week.

scully · 10/11/2005 13:47

wow fb, sounds like things might be happening
you're only a day behind me with your due date

bonkerz · 10/11/2005 13:55

HI all,

Not feeling great today. Have felt sick all morning and just seen my lunch again! (sorry tmi)
Have a fuzzy head and eyes bit blurry. Tummy been tightening all day too and is really uncomfortable and feel dizzy. I dont want to start panicking because i know that there is alot of viruses going around at the moment but my blood pressure is always top end of high at the moment. At what point should i see doctor or midwife? Am a little concerned its not just illness IYKWIM.

ebbie22 · 10/11/2005 13:58

Bonkers no idea hun but u know how u feel so get it checked if u are worried,,,[says me..lol]

scully · 10/11/2005 14:09

can you ring your midwife to ask her, bonkerz? otherwise can you see you dr today and have them check your blood pressure?

bonkerz · 10/11/2005 14:24

think i may have too cos am having hot flushes and feel clammy too.

sweetheart · 10/11/2005 14:54

bonkerz sorry to hear you rnot feeling well - try and get to see your mw if your worried hun!

Flutter - sounds like things could be starting for you! Good luck sweetie!

Just had a phone call from dh to say we got a letter from the Inland Revenue today - they are admitting they cocked up with our tax credits and we don't have to pay anything back - WOOHOO!!!! That is one less thing to worry about

ninah · 10/11/2005 15:01

sh
and GOOD LUCK FLUTTER!

scully · 10/11/2005 15:09

think you should bonkerz, won't do your blood pressure any good worrying, so hopefully a checkup will put your mind at ease.
sh, that's great, don't get many of those letters
while I remember, have a lovely last day tomorrow too (I'm unlikely to log on at home, and I'm not at work tomorrow )
