bonkerz · 08/11/2005 20:24

Glad you got a date NEMO, i will now try and get 16th and maybe we can have babies on same day!!!
Alex now weighs in at 4lb 9oz and is above the average line on my growth chart! Asked again about an elective c/section and registrar said that my consultant had agreed to it and will book it at my next appointment on 6th December! I asked if i had to see anyone and she said it didnt look like it cos consultant had agreed in my notes! YIPPEE!!!! They also checked my hips today and agreed i have SPD, apparently Alex's head is already popping in and out of my pelvis which is causing more problems so have been booked in for physio but may not get an appointment for 3 or 4 weeks yet!
As for stretch marks! Mine havent yet (touh wood) started to get any worse from when i had DS. The ones i do have from DS are very silvery and about a cm wide each and i have 7 across my tummy! Am expecting some red ones to show soon but i have been very lucky so far although the ones i have now didnt show till i was 36 weeks and then i split my tummy muscles which didnt help! I dont mind them though because it proves im a mummy and are my war wounds!
No help at hospital for my acid reflux so am currently sucking on imperial mints which appear to be helping as well as drinking orange and lemonade!!

ei23mummy · 08/11/2005 23:26

expatinscotland · 09/11/2005 09:32

The baby kicked me all night. Then I woke w/acid reflux. Then I woke b/c the heater came on and I got too hot. Then I woke b/c I'd rolled onto my right side and baby HATES that - it's back is lying along that side.

Got maybe 5 hours of sleep.

Grrrr!

dramaqueen72 · 09/11/2005 09:43

hey ei, long time no see
absolutely normal strange twinges and feelings btw, just baby pressure. infact heck EVERYTHING in the next few weeks is because of baby pressure!!
expat ugh, rough night!, heres hoping tonights loads better. I woke with screaming cramp again. god it bloody hurts doesnt it? no amount of bananas/tonic water/stretching seems to keep them away either.
am also with you minnie on feeling super pg right now. gee, its like carrying a bus around all day....I am falling apart I think in the process!!
have midwife this afternoon. hmmmmmmm. still not quite sure what to say or how to word anything. never mind, she'll see me at least.
dh is home today, under my feet!!

george32 · 09/11/2005 10:21

Hi everyone. Was wondering where you had got to Ei.
Rough night for me too but strangely don't feel too bad today. Maybe because I'm excited because the nursery & stair carpet is finally being fitted.
LOL Minnie, hmmm, think you need something more exciting than the docs to look forward to

NCT again last night & really enjoyed it again. Moved onto labout last night . Really weird the things you know but that just haven't sunk in (probably due to me being in denial about them). Feeling better about things and DP suggested we go out & buy me a 1st stage labour kit with all sorts of nice things in I might want. Eg, comfy clothes, water spray, choccy, candles. I'd like to stay at home for as long as I can - ha, ha, watch me ring the hospital begging to come in after the first contraction!!
Any suggestions as to nice things I might want are welcome.

Good luck with your m/w this afternoon DQ. Don't let her fob you off. Make sure you get the re-assurance / answers you need.

Nemo1977 · 09/11/2005 10:32

morning all
goerge glad carpet is getting fitted..woo hoo

DQ just say whatever u want to hun and ignore the mw..lol

Well no sleep here, dh was restless and snoring and then adam was awake at 5.30am. I am still relegated to bedrooms which is annoying as i am currently looking at our 6 dining chairs put around the room..pmsl
Sooo cant wait for tommorow and the carpet to be down.

scully · 09/11/2005 10:37

cramps are awful dq, had one the other night that woke me up. & every time I try to eat a banana it's mostly gone off so have been put off them as well...
feeling better than yesterday, dh apologised several more times last night & I think realised how much he had upset me. going to book the tickets today and his game is going to be recorded!
well done on having your c-section booked nemo, gosh it is all getting v close now.....flutter is only a day behind me, makes me realise this baby could actually come at any time - ahhh

Nemo1977 · 09/11/2005 10:45

ooo scully im not having a c section..hopefully..lol i am just being induced and bonkerz is booking c section.

ThomCat · 09/11/2005 10:47

DQ - dried apricots are really good fro cramps.

bonkerz · 09/11/2005 10:50

Hi all, am also not sleeping. Alex decides to bury her head deep when i lay down and end up on loo all night! It really is a pain!!!!!

Nothing to do today so just done my tax return as not due back till april and will be new tax year etc!! Ive earnt less than £1.20 per hour in 7 months childminding 3 under 3!

Need to go buy paint so i can do DS bedroom but really cant be bothered!

MINNIE1 · 09/11/2005 10:55

george32
I'm tellin ya this is as exciting as it gets for me!!!

Scully,
Great to hear you DH is going with you. I hope ye have a fab time..

scully · 09/11/2005 11:08

sorry nemo, forgot what you were being booked in for - I see breech and automatically thought c-section but loads of time for all these babies to turn. I have another midwife check on Friday so curious to hear if mine is still head down. Mind you as no picked it up last time until 37wks, I'm won't be 100% sure until my scan on 23/11......
really not v interested in being here today, my mind keeps wandering to my lists and what I still need to do/buy.......

Nemo1977 · 09/11/2005 11:12

lol scully
If you happen to think up a hospital bag list let me know..at nearly 35wks suppose i should start thinking about it really.

sweetheart · 09/11/2005 11:20

scully - I'm glad you dh saw the light and started being nice to you! He must have some good bits

Nemo, my hospital bag is packed and reayd to go - I think I might have to down scale though - they might think I'm moving in the amount of stuff I have to take

Touch wood, I haven't had too many cramps this time round. I remember them from last time round though OUCH !!!!!

Not much doing here today - still got my head in a book, starting to panic about the lack of time till my exam and how much revision I still have to get done. Just when I think I'm OK with a topic I go back and relise I've forgotten it all - bloody preggie brain

OP posts:
scully · 09/11/2005 11:40

yes he does sh, although you wouldn't have known it yesterday can't imagine studying right now, struggling just to keep on top of work, house and baby things
nemo, I'll be 35wks on Sat....so far I have packed nappies, muslins, baby blanket, cotton wool, wipes, baby clothes, feeding bras (from last time, haven't bought new ones), maternity towels, breast pads. Have a list sitting on top of the bag for everything else that still needs to go in - camera, food, clothes for me, towel for me and baby, towelling dressing gown (if I'm allowed to use the pool), toiletries, money, present for dd. List is at home but I think that's most things.......

ei23mummy · 09/11/2005 12:19

afternoon ladies!
how is everyone today?? im NOT in a very good mood!! my supposed friend who i have known for 20 years sent me a really nasty email last night because it was her sons birthday on saturday and i havent had the chance to drop his present in- which i was planning on doing this evening! she said that i obviously dont give a sh*t about her kids because i havent been able to walk the fifteen minutes to her house to drop off the present! (and she hasnt been in to take my phone calls...how am i supposed to give in the present if she isnt even in anyway??)
i dont know whether it is hormones makin me feel worse but all iv done is cry since i read the email! i finally fell asleep at 5am only to be woken by the postman at 11am for a package for next door! he got a bit of a shock i think cos i opened the door with tears runnin down my face in my vest and p.j pants showin off my big round belly!! a scary sight for the prepared never mind those who arent expecting it!!

scully · 09/11/2005 12:31

your poor postman, ei, he must be wondering what is going on in your house
awful thing for your friend to do though, surely as she has kids, she knows what it's like to not get around to doing things straight away - I would expect such a long standing friend to be a bit more understanding, for all she knew you could have been in hospital, how would she have felt then. Hormones are probably making it more upsetting though, she says, remembering her crap day yesterday.....

sweetheart · 09/11/2005 12:33

I'm in a strop too and about ready to cry!!! My revision is NOT going well. I've done about 15 questions so far this morning and got every one wrong!!! It's so frustrating!!!

Ei, I'd feel annoyed too - and the mood I'm in right now I'd be inclined to rind said friend and give her a piece of my mind. How rude of her!!!! on your behalf

OP posts:
ninah · 09/11/2005 12:36

sh you can get them wrong NOW. Do you understand why they are wrong? you have time to sort it out in time for the 7th you know, plenty of time. Better find what you need to concentrate on now rather than later, though in this stage of preg it's all I can do to remember to get dressed - forgot mw appt this morning only went in cos surgery rang to see if I could do it earlier!

ei23mummy · 09/11/2005 12:38

she has just sent me an instant message sayin that how would i feel if it was my child! i am just so annoyed with her as she didnt even ask me if i had tried to ring or bought anythin for him she just decided to write me off afer 20 years of friendship! i obviously must think more of her than she does of me

ninah · 09/11/2005 12:45

out of order ei, - but out of character too? maybe there is something else going on with her she is taking out on you.
Reply, explain as you did here and don't get caught up in her am drams. You have bump to worry about! chin up x

ei23mummy · 09/11/2005 13:05

i have answered her and she said that she really feels hurt that i havent made time to bring her child a present and that she is disappointed that i feel hurt by the way she has 'spoken' to me. i think she thought that i am some kind of doormat who will jus let people treat me whatever way they want and not say anythin. (im not btw!) she said that because she loves her son more than anything else in the world that i should be a good friend and pay more attention and spend more time with them! i dont know whether to cry or go to her house and punch her! im just so right now i feel like swingin for someone!! grrrr

ei23mummy · 09/11/2005 13:07

sorry to rant on here, i just dont know where else to go!
