MrsS I'm thinking of you and your little ones. I hope it's all plain sailing from here on in. (hugs)

MrsS I'm thinking of you and sending you positive vibes! But as others have said glad they have spotted it quickly and the surgery went as well as it could. I recommend box sets for anyone attempting to distract them selves when they have been told to rest. I can personally recommend dexter, lost, spooks and alley Mcbeal.

Well I had an eventful day yesterday when my dd decided to potty train herself. She loves the potty so I'm going to go with it properly, knickers not nappies from Monday as we have a wedding on the weekend!

Bending has become an issue with the bump growing so I'm making use of dd, asking her to pass me things, she's loving it!

I'm beginning to get a bit flustered about how quickly this preg is going and how little I have done to prepare!

Are anyones boobs leaking? Mine have started to leave bright yellow stains on my bras- well at least I know I'm producing collustroum!

daisysair · 08/04/2011 10:14

mrs S Big hugs coming your way, what a horrid thing to go through, fingers crossed it's all ok from now on! The specialists in Birmingham have excellent reputations if that offers any hope?!

Anu3 · 08/04/2011 10:26

MrsS - Sending you lots of love, hugs and positive vibes to help you get through the ordeal you've been through! Gets lots of rest and your little ones will be just fine! Glad everything has gone well until now and im sure it will continue that way! In my thoughts and prayers xxx

LifeOfKate · 08/04/2011 11:34

Goodness, MrsS, what a lot you have been through. Glad that the surgery went well and I will be thinking of you and hoping that the next scan brings good news. Take care and put your feet up!

alibaba76 · 08/04/2011 12:03

MrsVidic I have had a leak - what a shock it was!! After a bath one night there was a wee white trail... but it's only happened the once! Something to look forward to...not!

JenniL1977 · 08/04/2011 13:09

Good grief MrsS - you've been through the mill! - Sending all sorts of love and good vibes your way x
MrsV I've got little creamy stains on the inside of my bra each night. Good, glad that's a normal thing as well!
This little girl is giving me hell with her kicking and punching... going to be a feisty one, just like her mum I think!
Happy weekend everyone.. and look, the sun's out! Yay! Shame I'm spending all weekend packing my house up :(

littlemissw · 08/04/2011 14:19

So glad that you seem to be in the very best hands and that your op went as well as it could go MrsS. I'm keeping everything crossed for you that your little paddington peas behave themselves from now on.

SelinaDoula · 08/04/2011 14:58

MrsS Glad you and the babies are ok. Hope you can get some rest now and recuperate.
JenniL1977 re Eczema. My DD had it quite badly. It does run in my family (although I don't have it). I did BF excluisivly but went to a lecture with an eczema specialist who said the most important thing is to use emollients in the water (no baths/washes with just water) and definetely no soap/soap based products at all! So I will try that this time. Also dont use olive oil to moisturise baby as it contains olaic acid (is good to get rid of flaky skin like cradle cap) if you want to oil you can just use sunflower.
If your baby does have it, you may need to use mild steroid creams and if it gets really bad get a referral to a specialist at your local hospital. They do tend to grow out of it and my DD's is nearly completely gone now.
Watch out for Chinese herbal medicine as that cured ours overnight, I was suspicious so sent the cream for tests and it had very high levels of illegal steroids in!

My bump is getting bigger, feeling lots of kicks now on the outside too. Have put on 8Kg at 24 weeks.
No midwife appointment now till I am nearly 29 weeks!
S x

KLou111 · 08/04/2011 20:31

So sorry MrsS for all your worries, and I really really have everything crossed that the babies start being more 'independent' of each other and everything starts mending itself in there xxxx

neverlookback · 08/04/2011 20:47

oh mrss what a horrible ordeal you have had, that sounds so scary, well done on being so brave, fingers crossed everything will be perfect from now on and your two little babbas will grow quickly xx
i had my 2nd 20 week scan on friday and thankfully it was a different sonographer who was really really nice and we got some good pics, managed to stay on team yellow but im so sure its a girl!!!

talking of boobs! before i got pg mine were still leaking from having ds 2 years ago, (TMI: if i squeezed them, but quite a lot!!!) but its all stopped since getting pg so it must be the hormones?

im having a pretty stressful week, my poor sisters husband has left her she has 3 kids he has just pretty much walked away from them, says he doesnt love her anymore, they have huge debts and she cannot pay everything on the house, she is in bits they had been through thick and thin for 17 years together, its so sad for her and the kids.

Dp had a hernia operation yersterday (for the 2nd time) so ive got him at home saying hes bored already!! id do anything to be laid up in bed for a few days/weeks!!

have a nice weekend everyone x

JenniL1977 · 09/04/2011 07:59

Selina thanks very much for that advice, really appreciated. Tbh I think dd is going to have it regardless as I have small patches as well, it's just DH's is so severe when it's bad for him. I'll tell him about the using emollients and stuff as well; he's such a stubborn fucker sometimes and refuses to go to the doctor about it and get referred, he keeps saying "well, they couldn't ever do anything for my mum" - which is absolutely not the point, his mum died 15 years ago and hadn't seen a doctor about her eczema for 10 years before that! I had to have a word with FIL a couple of weeks ago about filling his head with rubbish about it as well. Grrrrr.
In other news... I've just won a cotbed on eBay for £24! Whoop! Starting to get there now... Just have this issue of prams to get my head round now.
So sorry for your sister never - men are such shits sometimes. The poor thing.
Ah, the sun's shining, I've got two loads of washing on the line already and the cat's on his back basking in the sun. All is good with the world :)
Have lovely weekends people!

Firawla · 09/04/2011 08:57

£24! what a bargain, nice one
hope everyone has a good weekend, loving the sunny weather Grin

Lemonsole · 09/04/2011 21:14

[peeps round door]

Sorry to interrupt, Ladies. Do delete me if I'm typing out of turn...

The sun is shining - and I've just listed rather a lot of summer maternity clothes on the Adult clothes and shoes for sale board. Some of you may be interested!

Wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies, Lemonsole.

bebemooneedsabreak · 10/04/2011 16:25

Afternoon ladies, I was lurking early on (when I was still uncertain the pregnancy would stick) and then got side tracked with a short-term move to Germany at 10 weeks and all the stuff that entails...but now I'd like to say 'hi.'

Due August 18th with second Dc

Hope everyone is enjoying a lovely weekend.

Yukana · 10/04/2011 17:47

Welcome bebemoon. :)

neverlookback How awful for your sister to have to go through that. :( I hope she will be all right and have lots of support.

MrsChemist · 11/04/2011 07:59

Welcome bebemoon!

That sounds awful neverlookback your poor sister Sad

I've hot my scan today. I hope everything is ok

onEastarEggIGraze · 11/04/2011 08:14

MrsChemist good luck today, am sure it will be fine :) I've got another scan this afternoon too so we can be scan buddies. I hope my dad remembers to turn up, he's meant to be looking after DS Grin

Welcome bebemoon :) I hope you've got your sling at the ready for when the baby is here - an acquaintance used to nanny in Germany and said she was constantly being harassed by German mums for not being slingy enough with her charge Grin

bebemooneedsabreak · 11/04/2011 08:40

Well we won''t be here when the baby is born we're back week 37(end of July)- and I've not seen a sling since I've been in Germany (tho we do have one)! :)

KLou111 · 11/04/2011 12:22

Welcome and congrats bebe :)

Sorry for your sister never that's awful for her especially if it came out of the blue :(

Got a little......ahem...... Blush question for you, but sod it, we're all in the same boat!!! Regarding pubic region, have any of you just, erm, bushed??? I seem to have got longer and thicker lol, even DH commented on it yesterday!

wishwales · 11/04/2011 13:17

Klou111 Thanks for saying that!!! Mine is growing like a weed - longer and thicker nearly overnight. It is also 'spreading', um, behind. My husband sweetly asked me if I can use Veet whilst pregnant. I think I will need his help for that job, lol.

KLou111 · 11/04/2011 13:22

Phew not just me!!! Lol at the veet!

JenniL1977 · 11/04/2011 13:25

Haha! Yep, me too :)

daisysair · 11/04/2011 13:31

KLou ALL hair has gone on growth overdrive here. I have a lovely hairy tummy (oh yes!) and bushy eyebrows

with the sunny weather I also realised a little pink tinge too late that I am more sensitive to the sun!

felt baby kick from the outside on friday-as did OH :o , but nothing since...

bebemooneedsabreak · 11/04/2011 14:07

OH! Jealous of the hair growth...mine thins... :(

Love the baby kicks...mines a very active thing as was my first. It reassuring in many ways even when it's annoying in others.
