Glad to hear that your scan went okay Teladi.

Not much of an update on my end, baby kicks a lot every now and then, I bought a pedestal fan yesterday because the heat is absolutely murdering me. We don't really have the money right now but if it means I can stop worrying so much about overheating, it's a plus.

In terms of the house, nothing so far again. Contacted another 8 or so properties, none of which accept dss. At this rate we are even considering moving out of the county because of the lack of properties - and none that accept dss. It's a last resort of course but we cannot live with my mother any longer.

That, or we find some way to get the council to find us a place within the next month. DP is on his last tether with my mother and so am I. It's too depressing sitting in my room everyday with nothing to do.

KTisPG · 22/04/2011 13:27

I've uploaded my bump photo too (I think!)

yeh kt it worked i just had a look, nice bump :)

yukana hopefully you find somewhere soon, i think it may be worth considering moving out your area if you really cant find any. i want to move to manchester now because i had a look and seen how cheaper it is compared to london, would be able to live somewhere really nice. altho we cant go straight away, but its put me off putting effort in finding somewhere here, because i feel like we are just getting ripped off with the prices. looking to find somewhere is soo frustrating!

littlemissw · 22/04/2011 15:39

Sorry to hear you are having to go through such a terrible time wishwales. Keeping everything crossed your little one stays put for as long as possible.

Glad you scan went well Teladi.

Lovely to see everyones gorgeous baby bumps. I'll have to get a picture up too.

littlemissw · 22/04/2011 16:10

DD1 has just taken a photo for me ... I'm sure it looks bigger from where I am. Hmm

KLou111 · 22/04/2011 17:25

Oh all your bumps are lovely compared to mine! I suppose I should be grateful in this heat though!!
Another gorgeous day. I swear the whole of England must have come to Wales as we went to pick puppy up earlier (gorgeous cutie pie currently flat out in the conservatory under the dining table!), and went to nip into Tesco and couldn't get near it, so tried Morrisons which was a bit nearer, and they were queuing all the way into the car park so we just got the puppy (Bella) and left! What a nightmare! There's never much traffic around here, and the couple we got the puppy from (he'sa taxi driver) said it was the busiest they've ever seen!

MrsStevo · 22/04/2011 17:57

firawla - my bump is much more like yours than Klou's! I was bigger than klou before I got pregnant!!! Will upload a pic when I a) find my camera and b) figure out how to upload it to our new laptop. I am pretty massive though - waist was 40" when I measured on Tuesday @ 22weeks.

Another gorgeous day here too! Just waddled into Lincoln to have an icecream in the sunshine and have now returned to my place on the sofa. Have my mum and dad staying with us at the moment - came downstairs this morning (after sleeping for just about 10 HOURS!!!!) to find that mum had cleaned my entire kitchen. Love it :)

Hope you all have wonderful long weekends!

davidtennantsmistress · 22/04/2011 19:08

another who's fallen out with Klou over here Envy :o My tummy's not been that flat since I was at school. lol.

cjd - you have my sympathy on the boobs front, mine decided yesterday to start leaking on me. Shock ha better get some pads me 'tinks.

lady - good luck moving at 34 weeks - I vote, that would should take yourself off for the day to a spa and let DP/H & the packers do everything. certainly don't envy you thou.

Little miss - mine's very much like yours I think. a nice neat & tidy bump.

have had mum over today to help me sort the garden out for DS coming home monday, so am now off to reward my expanding tummy with some much needed chocolate, a trashy mag & a swim in the tub. then for some nice retail therapy tomorrow apparently said expanding bump is now too big for my size 12's & 14's so am fully needing my maternity clothes now as they no longer fall down on me.

Annie456 · 22/04/2011 20:36

Great to see all the bumps-I'll have to get some of mine up. We've been taking a weekly pic since 18wks and it's lovely to watch it grow! I'm off to Italy for a week tomorrow - the last hol before baby comes and it coincides perfectly with our 1st wedding anniversary...I'll post a bump pic when I get back.
Right, well my taxi is coming at 4.30am so I'm off to bed!!!

davidtennantsmistress · 23/04/2011 08:35

snap annie, so have we, DP's been getting weekly pics & a daily blow by blow account of the kicking/growing & stuff.

KLou111 · 23/04/2011 08:59

Same here too. I tell DH every time bubba kicks, and he goes to put his hand there and s/he stops! Got photos since 15 weeks, weekly.

Been up since 6am with puppy, as soon as it started getting light. Now she's fast asleep and has been for the last hour, typical!! Oh well, better get used to it!!

davidtennantsmistress · 23/04/2011 09:01

lol. yes clydie is the same klou. it was amusing though just before DP went away he laid down with his cheek on my tummy & could feel the movements - think the bubs was telling him to stop squishing me! will upload a picture later on.

MrsVidic · 23/04/2011 09:20

Hi all,

Does anyone else just feel Completley washed out and drained! I am shattered, mind you j have just had 2 weeks off work which means 2 weeks being a sahm so that would probably explain my lack of energy! I can't believe how much the 17.5 hours ( 2.5 days a week) gives me a rest lol!

I'm getting really bad pain ( like someone has kneed me in my lady garden or as dd says "twinkle") I believe it's SPd, it's been on and off for about 6 weeks but I'm going to have to see the Mw about it as it's getting worse and I'm hobbling about! Unfortunatley it's very bad when dd sits on my knee which she likes to do a lot!

On a positive note my dd is doing really well at potty training! Hopefully I'll only have 1 size of nappy to buy in august!

I needed a bigger nightie and pulled out the one I wore in labour with dd last night. Was hardly and mess and washed fine! I forgot we had kept it so I'm all nostalgic wearing it! It is massive though! Can recommend it, a cheap peacocks button down short nightie!

Firawla · 23/04/2011 11:12

yeah i was feeling really washed out and drained last week, bit better now we got the holiday and got dh here with us
i hope its not spd you got and that it doesnt get any worse
good luck with the potty training, i really need to make more effort with my ds1 on that now, im not having 3 of them in nappies as that would get a bit ridiculous (not to mention expensive)

thats a good idea the people doing the bump pics every week, i think i will try and do a few more through the rest of the pregnancy if i remember, its nice to look back on. i cant remember if i even did any bump pics at all with the last one?! from my 1st i got pics of me in the induction bay waiting for the gel thing to start working, with hugeee bump and also a peacocks nightie :p

sisterT · 23/04/2011 12:13

Happy Easter everyone! I havent eaten any chocolate for six weeks now so am expecting to feel thoroughly sick by breakfast time tomorrow!!!

Yukana - I really hope something works out for you soon. If your home-life is untenable the council must surely have responsibility to help. Can you ask for a reassessment from the council re: yours and yours mothers condition change with written back-up from your GP and physio? Probably not the easiest to sort with two double bank-holiday weekends but worth a thought for after. Best of luck, anyway. x

KLou111 · 23/04/2011 13:33

No chocolate for 6 weeks????!!! Bloddy hell sister full respect!! I can't go 12 hours!! Sweet things and chocolate are my 'thing' and can't get enough!

Hersetta · 23/04/2011 13:59

Lovely to see all the bump photos - mine doesn't show much due to my fat tum but I am definitely growing.

At work in the office at the moment (worked all day yesterday as well) - will will be here all weekend working to 10.pm. Got home last night at 11.30 and then up again at 7.00 this morning so start all again. Hopefully will be all over with by Wednesday or thursday (fingers crossed).

I have booked my 28 week bloods at the hospital plus my anti D jab and my glucose challenge test as wll. On same day i also have a 28 week midwife's appointment st check me over and get my fit to fly letter as we fly to the Maldives the next week.

This baby is definitely more active than DD. I am being beaten up from the inside almost constantly.

.

Firawla · 23/04/2011 14:17

poor you hersetta working over the bank holidays and on weekends! hope you have a great holiday though, maldives looks lovely

MrsVidic · 23/04/2011 17:26

Yukana i jst wanted to trll you what i know regarding the accommodation situation, the council could put you in a mother and baby hostel pretty quickly if you are desperate but they don't have to place you with your Dp, I'm afraid. I know this as I work with homeless people/ families in my role. If they offer you this option, be sure to find out if Dp can visit/ stay over (usually not allowed bur occasionally up to 3 nights a week). Initially when you are housed you will be reduced a band but pretty soon you would move up very fast ( when the key workers there feel you are ready).

When does the 3rd trimester start?

JenniL1977 · 23/04/2011 19:23

3rd trimester MrsV ... don't! I'm nervous as hell already! Quite like where I'm at just now, not too uncomfortable, enjoying the kicking. I'm staying put at my 23wks - much like I stayed put at getting older at 29 Grin
Anyway, it's week 26, isn't it?
Will get a bump photo up as soon as bloody O2 sort their shit out and get my broadband back on (my mobile Internet bill is going to be huge this month, I can just tell)
When's everyone going to start their mat leave?

jspark123 · 23/04/2011 22:19

Hi everyone, not been on for a while, but keeping up with the posts.
I think the third trimester is 27 weeks?
Feeling lots of kicks, and freaky bulging outwards of stomach especially when lying on my back, looks like a scene from Alien!
Had my appointment with midwife last week at 24+4 (25 weeks today) and got to listen to heart beat, apparently a chilled out chappy.
Going back down to England next week to see both sets of parents where I'm sure we'll be pampered!
Hope everyone has a nice rest of the Easter weekend x

littlemisslozza · 24/04/2011 07:24

Morning and Happy Easter!

For the last two mornings I have had the first of the excruciating leg cramps of this pregnancy. Literally, I leap out of bed cursing under my breath so I don't wake the children!! Aargh!!!

Hope you all have a lovely day.

KLou111 · 24/04/2011 07:42

Happy Easter all [bugrin] (up again early for me! 5.19am and again at 6.50am with Bella wanting a wee and poo respectively, at least she told us!!)

Aaaaaaaanyway, have found the following re trimesters:

What is the length of the first, second and third trimesters?

The length of the trimesters is often a source of confusion. The word trimester means 'three months'. Three periods of three months each, gives pregnancy a beginning, a middle and an end period.
These periods match the developmental stages to divide up a pregnancy.

Beginning: From LMP to 12 weeks the embryo develops all the major organs, becomes a fetus, and the placenta takes over control.
Middle: From 12 weeks to 27 weeks the fetus continues developing and reaches viability.
End: From 27 weeks on the fetus finishes development and prepares for delivery.

When does the first trimester end or third trimester begin?

Does it really matter exactly when you are out of the first trimester or start the third trimester? No. When the trimesters start and end depends on who you ask, which book you read or what website you visit. Most health care providers actually talk about your pregnancy in weeks, rather than months or trimesters.

neverlookback · 24/04/2011 14:59

hi all, happy easter, lovely weather here in lancs having a good weekend of it, just a quicky have any of you been camping with little ones? were thinking of going just for 1 night next week to watch some bike racing and dd is 5.5 and ds is 2.5 never camped with them before and dd was scared just sitting in the garden last night as she thought the easter bunny may come early but she says she will be fine in a tent as there is a zip!! bless,
i want to camp but nervous about 1 or both screaming all night!

Yukana · 24/04/2011 15:07

I wouldn't be able to go into a mother and baby hostel MrsV, although thank you for trying to help. My mental health is as such that my DP has to look after me, we are trying to apply for carer's allowance at the moment. I would not be able to cope without him by my side. Being reassessed might be an idea sisterT

Happy easter everyone! And fingers crossed for you wishwales.

Short update here:
Mom's condition has worsened dramatically. She's verbally aggressive and me and DP are no longer spending time with her despite living in the same small apartment together.
She has yelled at me this morning and slammed the door a couple of times, due to me not going to see her parents for Easter lunch. Reasons being me and DP want time away from her and to ourselves, my grandparents were more than understanding for which I am grateful.

My mother has always been a christian, an odd one but a christian nonetheless. She has apparently been saying in church that religion is not for her and walked out of church this morning, saying she is fed up with it all. I'm not religious myself, but am shocked she's gotten this bad.
Not only that she suddenly burst into our room asking if we'd like to stay here whilst she moves out. It's not possible as we cannot afford the rent and it's on the top floor, but we just nodded and said okay. I'm pretty sure she's having a manic episode and not sure if she is even taking her medication, and I'm worried.

I probably shouldn't be talking so much about my life on here and I do feel guilty about it, but DP and I are at such a loss. I hope the days can only get better from here on.
