Last night I was having a bath when, as well as feeling big kicks, I also saw them! Was quite something!
Definitely look pregnant not fat now, although have now put on 19lbs :O

Not had any braxton hicks yet - and that's fine with me!

KLou111 · 21/04/2011 10:33

wishwales so sorry you're having to go through what you are going through. I have no experience personally or via friends or family of prem birth, but I am sure your medical team will get you through.

24 weeks today, woohoo!! Officially viable Grin but scary that I could have bubba anytime after now.

Have put on a total of 13lbs so far. MW appt this aft :)

MorningsMadness · 21/04/2011 11:01

Wishwales thinking of you, be brave and rest, you're in good hands by the sounds of things.

sisterT · 21/04/2011 12:56

Sending love and hugs wishwales do try and take it easy. xx

Anu3 · 21/04/2011 13:30

Thinking of you wishwales! Get some good rest and fingers crossed all will be well with you and the little one! hugs x

Klou Congratulations on the 24 week milestone! Im 25 weeks tomorrow and will be officially in my 3rd trimester in 1 week! Time seems to have gone by very quickly though it certainly didnt feel like it! Do you have a bump yet? :)

Im off to Greece tomorrow for 2 weeks - for what will be our last holiday pre baby! Wish you lovely ladies a happy easter and will chat more when Im back xx

MrsStevo · 21/04/2011 14:43

22 + 2 here with an enormous belly, plenty of kicking for the last few days, lots of backache but fortunately no braxton hicks yet! DH can feel them from the outside now too which he loves - one of the twins was giving him a proper battering last night! I just love the feeling! Went to see the obstectric physio yesterday about my back - they have given me a giant tubigrip to waddle about in which supports the bump a bit, not amazing thoough.

I have put on exactly a stone now since getting knocked up which I don't think is too bad for a twin pregnancy! To be fair, I don't have a huge capacity to eat at the moment as babies are taking up most of my internal space!!

Still signed off sick at the mo but going back to work on Tuesday (for the 3 days between BHs)! Actually looking forward to it in a way but am pretty sure I'm finishing work on 28th May so not going to be back for long - hurrah!

Hope you're all enjoying the beautiful sunshine!

KLou111 · 21/04/2011 15:40

All is well 'in there' MW going to go through Parent craft classes at 28 weeks, so a few more weeks yet. Got to have blood test (anaemia) on 10th May, but all fine :)

Will put todays bump piccy up. Have a slight bump at last, my size 14's actually fit me now lol (bigger bum and thighs, pear shape I think they call it)

Got my boob tube on and my shorts, enjoying this glorious weather (and trying to dry up the sodding spots that seem to have appeared on my back!!!)

daisysair · 21/04/2011 15:53

wishwales thinking of you!

Mrs S a stone is amazing! I've put on 13 lbs, but it's all bump and boobs-looking quite skinny elsewhere

which takes me on to

KLou your bump is so neat!! I've uploaded a pic of me at 20 weeks for comparison!!

KLou111 · 21/04/2011 16:06

daisy feel huge, it's the biggest I have ever been (have gone 'wide') can't open your profile Hmm

Firawla · 21/04/2011 16:36

daisysair · 21/04/2011 16:47

KLou111 · 21/04/2011 16:51

LadyGoneGaga · 21/04/2011 16:53

Blimey, I am massive compared to both of you!!!

KTisPG · 21/04/2011 17:10

[busshock] Blimey KLou that's a cute bump!

Firawala I'm much more in your league bump-wise and have had a definitely obvious bump for about 10 weeks! I'll have to try to get DH to do a photo so I can upload it.

OP posts:
Firawla · 21/04/2011 18:22

oh really post ur pic up lady, i thought i was massive myself lol
daisy i think yours is medium sized
nice to see everyones bumps :D
i wanna see ms stevo, is yours massive with being twins?

KLou111 · 21/04/2011 18:27

Daisy your bump is lovely, as is yours Firawla, they're so cute and round. I'm Envy I want a bigger one!! Then don't you just know I'll regret saying that 2 months from now!!!

Yukana · 21/04/2011 19:37

Regarding the list of appointments second timers get littlemisslozza, this is my first but that's the only appointments I'm having. :( I'm shy and nervous when it comes to asking for appointments as I don't like to be a bother to people (which I see myself as) so don't make extra appointments like my midwife says I can. I am 24 weeks but haven't talked about my birth plan yet with anyone, and am feeling a bit Hmm and Shock about the huge gap in appointments.

onEastarEggIGraze · 21/04/2011 20:08

Firawla my bump looks a lot like yours Grin

onEastarEggIGraze · 21/04/2011 20:09

Yukana I didn't discuss my birth plan with DS until much, much nearer the time, so don't be worried on that account. Although obviously if there are unusually specific issues you want to discuss, it's worth making a sooner appt to initiate things.

kathpeak · 21/04/2011 20:28

Just a quick word cos I'm running...
Re shoes and the increasing difficulty of bending over to tie shoe laces... last time round I discovered elasticated laces. I got them in a nursing equipment shop but I would think most shops that sell disability aids would have them. They made my most comfy runners into slip-on comfy runners. Bliss!

MorningsMadness · 21/04/2011 22:25

Mmm, elasticated show laces, brilliant!

MrsS how is your bump then? I am wearing tents at the mo and twins kicking it even further in every direction.

JenniL1977 · 21/04/2011 23:02

Hi everyone, just checking in quickly- will have to be short note as Internet not set up at new house and 3G non-existent in Harrogate!
wishwales sending all good thoughts and lots of love
Good to hear about everyone's bf experiences- my friends with kids are split in two on who managed and who didn't so I know how tough it can be. Hoping it'll be ok here.
Re mw appts- I'm shocked at how few there are- I've had 5 wk booking in, 12wk scan, 15 wk mw appt, 20 wk scan, then I've got 25 wk mw appt, then don't see mw again until 33 wks, then again at 36 wks for homebirth appt. Doesn't seem like much to me!
Lots of kicking, all the time here. Think I've had a couple of braxton hicks- my bump tightened all over for a minute or so, does that sound right? Didn't hurt tho. Yet :)
New house is awesome. Upside down still, but awesome :)
Wishing everyone lovely long weekends

LadyGoneGaga · 22/04/2011 07:32

I didn't mean YOU were small Firawla...you have a good size bump too...although I may be a bit bigger but I'm a bit in front of you time wise anyway so should be. Will try and post a pic but need to dig out camera. Very camera shy this pg as just feel huge and fat and ungainly!

Fab you are in new house, Jenni. We have just sold ours and had an offer accepted for another so should be moving when I am 34 weeks Shock. Definitely shelling out for packers and movers!

cjdamoo · 22/04/2011 07:49

Hey all just read back. 25 weeks here and in pain today. Firstly I feel like ive been kicked in the foof and secondly my boobs are hot heavy and achey as hell.

Anyhow thats my whinge over. Have got my 3d scan booked for 20 may and will hopefully discover what bub is packing between its legs. 4 older kids are all mega excited now and fully expect another brother :o

I have my FIRST midwife appointment on the 8th may.

Teladi · 22/04/2011 11:03

Hi everyone. Had my 20 week scan yesterday (at 21+5) and all is well. I'm still on team yellow as they will not tell you the sex of the baby in the area where I live, and I think I will be staying on this team now! Feeling a massive sense of relief that everything is OK with baby and feeling like I can maybe start enjoying this now! Still not feeling baby that much but I guess that will come with time. It was certainly moving around when I saw it yesterday on the scan screen. I hope you're all doing OK. Think I'm somewhere in between KLou and Firawla in the bump stakes! :)
