whoops - ignore my pregnancy soft head!! I did that ages ago

imagine my surprise when I find a link about EXACTLY what I was gong to post...

hotmama1 · 16/11/2005 12:49

PMSL Teuch - blame it on pregnancy hormones!.

How is everyone today? Still no news about a physio appt - I will have given birth by the time that they have got around to inviting me in.

Jasnem · 16/11/2005 13:03

hello all - you've been very chatty today. I've been out all morning, and the first thing I do when I get in is check what I've missed on mn. My parents are due here any minute, and I should be tidying up. I get nothing at all done since I discovered mn. But my typing is getting faster

I get all kinds of ligament pains, but only once has it been so bad I couldn't move. Usually it gets better if I slow down a bit.

Tabs · 16/11/2005 13:24

lol teuch - especially after reading your post on the other thread too!!

teuch · 16/11/2005 13:30

not having a good day with technology!

TheOriginalTicTac · 16/11/2005 13:51

Hi All,

Welcome to Helen. Glad to hear most of you are doing well.
Is anyone else quite tired these days?

3k · 16/11/2005 13:56

Hi TicTac,

I've been tired all the way through but really starting to struggle now. I get home around 5pm and then go to sleep for about 1.5 - 2 hours which helps in the evenings a bit but last night I could hardly wake up!! I try not to sleep any later than 7pm as I then have trouble going back off later on but it does give me some more energy.

I woke with very bad cramp in my leg last night, first time ever has it been that bad - just had a few twinges before but I couldnt get rid of it last night.

I got my scan appointment through yesterday for 8th Dec, this is to check my placenta has moved up. Quite nervous this time for some reason, hope all is ok with baby.

TheOriginalTicTac · 16/11/2005 14:08

hi 3K - nasty cramp!! I have managed to avoid it so far but my mum suffered really bad while preg so I am hoping it is not an indication of how I will be!

I have been good with tiredness until now and I could serioulsy drop like a stone!!

Tabs · 16/11/2005 14:18

Did someone say drop like a stone - what an apt expression .

I'm very tired a lot! I generally fall asleep during The Weakest Link for about 15-30 mins. Also never want to get up in the mornings - though have an hour or two awake usually from about 5am, before getting back to sleep shortly before the alarm!

Guess I'll find out on Friday if it's iron related or just normal.

Helen38 · 16/11/2005 14:45

Cramp not nice, was getting it a lot untill dh read to do calf stretches before bed and circles with feet. Seems to of stopped it,
so far at least worth a try

3k · 16/11/2005 14:53

I think it was particularly bad last night as I took my mum and sister to Bluewater to do their Christmas shopping, I was walking a lot so by the time I got home my legs hurt and my belly hurt - felt very heavy and a kind of dragging feeling along the bottom.

DH just called - is going to Milton Keynes now so will be back very late tonight I was hoping to get more done on the nursery too.

Chloe55 · 16/11/2005 14:59

I have also been told to walk around on tiptoes for 1/2 hour before bed which kinda ties in with the exercise line.

TheOriginalTicTac · 16/11/2005 15:13

Tabs - Seems that the phrase fits then if you are tired too!

Chloe - PMSL at the thought of you tip-toeing around in a fairy outfit for half an hour before bed every night...

I think I have lost the plot!

Chloe55 · 16/11/2005 15:27

where's the fairy outfit come from TicTac! However, 'tis an idea, I do have wings and a tutu at home, dh would wet himself (or be quite turned on )

flamesparrow · 16/11/2005 20:14

pmsl @ the thought of heavily pregnant women prancing round in fairy outfits

ixel · 16/11/2005 21:26

Just checking in with you all...!

Welcome Helen38 Where abouts in Warwickshire are you? I have a friend who is on her first pregnancy, due May, who would love someone to meet up with if you're interested (although she's still in the really tired phase at the moment, poor girl...). She's just outside Southam.

Went to playgroup today, where ds had Happy Birthday sung to him as its his his 2nd birthday on Friday. Then he was given a pressie... and said 'no mummy, I dont like it presents'

Also furious with dh... was going to take ds out on a little birthday trip somewhere Fri morning, as his party is on Saturday... but dh has booked a man to come and fix our chimney, at an unspecified time on Fri morning

Anyone got any ideas how to wean myself off fizzy pop? I just cant help it, but its getting out of hand now.

TheOriginalTicTac · 16/11/2005 21:44

Chloe - I said I was loosing it..the tip toes just spiraled out of control to a fairy outfit...had not even considered the pregnant angle that flame added in....even more funny now [sorry emotiicon]

Ixel - fizzy pop....I am on the same boat as you so can't help! You would think the belching would put you off...

ixel · 16/11/2005 21:55

How much are you drinknig Tictac? I started when had a fizzy water craving last time, which went up to 10 litres a day . I've always drunk alot of water ever since, but now this time water doesn't seem enough. I'm probably still on about 9 or 10 litres of fluid, but now its water, juice, pop, milk. The nights are the worst... our bathroom is right by the kitchen, so I'm stuck in a vicious 2 hourly cycle of wee, drink, bed, wee, drink, bed!

JuA · 16/11/2005 22:07

Evening all
Have just got back from our twins parent craft class - Not sure that I learnt that much but she reckons we ought to have our bags packed by 30 weeks (well that is 2 weeks away)! I really don't want these babies to come before Christmas!
It is a shame that it is only 1 class because you don't get chance to get to know anyone.

Hello Helen38

Tic Tac - I have been feeling really tired for the last week or so - I really struggled at work today - but only 7 more days to work and I am finishing an hour early so hopefully that will be easier.

TheOriginalTicTac · 16/11/2005 22:07

Ixel - well I am not a big liquid taker anyway and I never drink fizzy pop. Now I have about 4 cups of tea, 3 cans of pop, a pint of milk and other random juices & waters during the day!

We have a very handy downstairs loo and en-suite so I am never too far away from the ever needed loo!!

TheOriginalTicTac · 16/11/2005 22:09

Jua - cross posts, sorry! You have a bigger excuse then the rest of us for being so tired! you are growing 2 little beauties and running after a toddler!!! I am suprised you have not finished work yet!

as for bags packed at 30 weeks....yikes! Only 5 weeks till Christmas, I am sure you can have a word with the wee ones and tell them to stay put until you have had your dinner

Frizbe · 16/11/2005 22:31

JuA yikes, that's close, mind you Hotmama, yikes 26 weeks!

Can I also just say you lot talk farrr toooo much!! taken me ages to read the thread today!!

FS had midwife round today and mentioned my braxtons the other week, she said if painful and going on for longer than an hour, call her/go to the hospital!! yikes....so far I've not had the problem again, but how are you?

Girls midwife also had a nice heartening story today, she'd been to a 1st time delivery this am, which happened so fast the poor lass didn't make it to the hospital!

Ixel, on my part, can't seem to touch fizzy pop at the mo, it all tastes un natural! weird eh!

3k · 17/11/2005 09:03

Morning all,

Hope you are all well today, I'm feeling a lot happier although not sure why as I have been unable to sleep lately due to worrying about my evil boss and bad backache the minute I get in bed. I'm fine throughout the day, it seems to strike when I'm resting. Last night I was awake til gone 1pm, it's not too bad once I actually get asleep.

Had a nightmare this morning, was watching GMTV and the traffic on the A2 was horrendous, I left at 7.30am and text my boss as it took me 40 mins to get on the A2 and I live 2 mins away!! I then flew down the A2 and was here with 5 mins to spare and I have taken to e-mailing him when I'm early saying "checking in at 8.15am" probably sarcastic but he never realises when I'm early then I get moaned at for being late!!! He also said to my colleague on Monday that I should change midwives so that it doesnt affect my work hours!! Can you believe this man??? I have spoken to him this morning, trying to focus on the next few weeks, I leave first week of Jan but that's only 21 working days for me as I dont work Fridays. So I need lots of help getting me through girls!!

I seem to like fizzy drinks too, not sure why!! I'm still on Strawberry Nesquik!

Chloe55 · 17/11/2005 09:09

Morning girls,

For those of you drinking fizzy pop - please tell me it is diet because my friend drank loads of pop in pregnancy and gained so much weight that she really struggled to lose, not preaching I just want you to consider the sugar overload (God sorry I sound like a right bossy cow, not that I'm a perfect weight and don't sit and scoff sweets all day long )

Off to see the midwife for a routine check up this aft but am def gonna mention my back pain.....again! And also the spreading of pain into my groin, see what she says anyway.

Tabs · 17/11/2005 09:15

Morning all. 3K - 21 days will fly by!

On the fizzy pop thing, I have to start my day with a pint glass 2/3 full of crushed iced, with fanta z summer fruits poured over. The ice kills the bubbles for me as I'm not very good with fizzy stuff. We were at Tesco at the weekend and discovered that this flavour is being discontinued, so bought 5 2litre bottles, 8 500ml bottles, plus a six pack of cans. Think we looked like addicts at the checkout!!
