Grin at the chirping mw, not exactly helpful is it, plus the baby coming out isn't instant pain relief so she lied too Hmm Bloody mws.

If I have time I might post my birth story (and check I havn't done that already actually!) but the jist of it is the mw only offered me bloody paracetemol (twat) and I didn't even get that haha.

Poor you mizK feeling rough, you are defo not the only lush [bugrin] I've been on the wine loads recently, but I'm lucky that dd is a good sleeper most of the time! Oh and don't feel guilty either :)

Hmm at your MIL ledkr, what does she mean "thats the price you pay"?! She sounds well rude Angry
My MIL always brings the conversation round to her other 2 grandkids, which can get boring especially when she is reminding us how easy we have it with dd - not exactly true when she told us that when dd was 3 weeks old and we were knackered! Now dd is sleeping better I'm sure we'll get reminded 100 times how easy we have it Hmm

Bensmum76 · 23/04/2011 15:05

I get on really well with my in laws now, but when I first had Ben and he slept through from 5 weeks, they'd say he was an easy baby. I found it really hard not to say 'that's cos we've worked our butts off to get into a routine!'. I think mil has learnt this time not to tell me what to do etc, she's been great actually especially about the PND.
Hope were all still enjoying the fab weather! We've spent the day in the garden, paddling pool and all. It's fab!

ledkr · 23/04/2011 18:51

Envy at mizter k going to watch liverpool.Tapas and too much wine sounds lush. my wine intake is defo more often but less volume than before.
Isnt it interesting how we all seem a bit happier now,and are slowly getting our lives back?I have to insist on being the first to go on the raz tho Grin

Am out for big one next sat with my oldest drinking buddy friend,we have had many raucous times in the past and always have a good time.

wiggles really feel for you at the mo with all the alerts, hope its just an over reaction.

weather is so lovely isnt it?went to my mates 4 doors down and had a beer in garden, could hear dh and ella rowing but just ignored it haha

I remember my mw with ds1,i was 17 and scared, one was a lovely strong black woman "of course you can my dear" the other was ok but had an annoying whining voice, she latched onto my name (louise) and constantly said Loooooooooo in her stupid whine,i had nightmares for yrs haha, i had every drug going to no avail, i couldnt push him out but when i saw the forceps gave one almighty heave and he shot to th end of the bed. Thank god for c sections i say.
happy easter all.

wigglesrock · 23/04/2011 21:18

Ledkr Thanks, just have to get on with it - just as well he's so well paid [buhmm]

Lovely day here today but not supposed to be as good tomorrow, my mum is doing a bbq for Easter, better hope the rain stays away or she will not be a happy bunny [bugrin] Mr W is working all weekend, on nights so will let mum and dad spoil dds and sneaky eat their eggs.

BIL is still being a complete dick, still not talking to us, what annoys me most is that he's running to pils who hate confrontation and putting them in a very difficult position. Apparently he wants an apology for not being asked to be godfather!! wtf!!! Mr W didn't pick the godparents, he's not religious, neither is his feckin' brother which makes the whole fiasco even more laughable.

Anyhoo Happy Easter, please ladies eat as much chocolate as I intend to so I don't feel as bad [bugrin]

ledkr · 23/04/2011 21:42

fucking family eh? I am too having a bbq tmw, started as a roast but its too blummin hot no.
I cannot imagine how i am going to do Delilahs christening with my ridiculous pils, the last thing i need is them staying here whilst trying to organise food and stuff, demanding food and beverage, plus my christenings are at the local pub and tend to be a good shindig can imagine them disapproving whilst i pour wine down my neck and puff on a fag Grin
Why would a grown man sulk about being a gp?Twerp. I have one friend who was such asupport to us when D was born/ill we couldnt have done it without her but she is the salt of the earth type who pils will hate and also my gay best friend who is also a grag queen so i fear fil will have a coronary hehe

Just watching This is it about Mike J,its very interesting tbh.

slowangels1 · 24/04/2011 06:16

oh ledkr please choose your drag queen gay bf for gf and insist he wears full glam outfit to the service - I am lol just thinking about PILs face at seeing this Wink Grin . We've just booked a date for Alices christening but not until end of august as only time we can get family all together - I hope she won't be too big for the family christening gown by then Hmm

Happy Easter everyone. I have instructed family to not give me easter eggs - it's the last thing I need but I have a sneaky suspician my will power will get the better of me and DHs egg pile will somehow get smaller quite quickly Wink . No easter egg hunt here today thank goodness - even at this age my sister and I still do a chocolate egg hunt in the garden Grin but every single year I lose Confused . I have told my sister I'm too old for one this year but when Alice is older she can do one with her - I'm fed up of never winning.

wiggles cannot believe BIL that is moaning about gf isn't even religious Shock

we are off to inlaws today - wish me luck and strength - don't think I'll be allowed to see much of DD as she will be handled around alot.

Bensmum76 · 24/04/2011 08:39

Morning all! Were off to in laws today for Sunday roast and easter hunt, cant wait! We put some eggs in the lounge for Ben this morning and told him the Easter bunny had been, his face was a picture!
Ledkr, I would love to be a fly on the wall at D's christening!
Wiggles, I can't believe how pathetic your bil is being. Just the type of person you want for a gp!
Now, I don't want to tempt fate but Noah has give from 11pm to 8am the last three nights, am hoping it's the start of something good! He has ended up in bed with us from 6ish every morning, nd I'm loving it! It's really helping us to bond, especially when he buries his face into my neck and holds onto my pj top as if to stop me to stop me moving away!
Hope you all have a good Easter Day

slowangels1 · 24/04/2011 08:53

Grin to bensmum for the sleep

alice is still asleep - I can't believe it! and I've been awake since 5 and not been able to get back to sleep again Confused typical - what a missed oppertunity for a lie in

we are getting a bit worried as she's gone now for over 36 hours with no poo at all Shock Confused Hmm Blush . usually it's all the time. Is it normal to suddently stop like this? The next one that comes will be of epic proportions given how long it's been Wink

OP posts:
Tarlia · 24/04/2011 09:05

angels I'd advise A wears black until she has had that poo - sounds like itll be an armpit one [bugrin].

wiggle I cant understand why he is suddenly thinking it's his right?! What happened when your other two where christened? Poor you, he sounds like a prat [bushock].

Very sweet, bensmum.

Happy Easter!

ledkr · 24/04/2011 09:15

I think its ok if you are ebf angels,as long as she doesnt seem uncomfortable. Its also worth trying some water as its so hot,i give D's off a spoon as she gaggs if i use a bottle GrinShe gets constipated from the gaviscon and about 5mls of water sort this easily.
Oh all you lot off to the pils my ds'a are comingto be fedsee me,doing a bbq and egg hunt for the younger kids not 20 yr old boys.

DH is annoying me a bit,he has this thing where he gets totally lost in media-papers,pc,tv etc. I have stupidly got sky sports and movies as a special offer and he spends hois time sat on his arse watching any sport imaginable,i dont mind this but he literally cannot move or respond to us.He will passivly look after D but no effort,i got up this am and he had been up with her since 6.30,nothing done, baby asleep on swing, shitty nappy left on mat, bottles unwashed, dishwasher full and stinking and he is on pc in a trance.
He had a row with dd yesterday who can be trying but i bet it was more so if he was trying to watch endless tv,feel a bit fuming at him tbh,i may smash an easter egg over his head.

ledkr · 24/04/2011 09:28

forgot to say yes bensmum that is sweet,i so wish D would snuggle in bed but she growls and fights me-feisty knickers.

Wanted to add that yesterday dh was engrossed in sport and i went in to tell him i was off to mates,he ignored me so i called him a twat, dickhead, moron and another unmentionable word nd then went out,he didnt even notice.Shock

janedoe25 · 24/04/2011 11:19

Sorry ledkr but im LOL at your husband, Sounds like my DF! I am officially a football widow today, Oldfirm game here (Rangers V Celtic) i might hit the shops or have a Greys anatomy marathon with some easter eggs, hmmm decisions decisions.....

bensmum [bugrin] at Noah sleeping so well!
angels Hope you have the hose ready for A's pooh explosion!

Bensmum76 · 24/04/2011 18:19

Hi all, thanx for all the messages re Noahs sleeping.
We spent the day at the in laws today. We had a fab time, but I am another pc widow, dh spent so much time on the pc/ I phone there that I told him off for being rude. I think there all used to it though cos they just ignore it. Drives me mad though. Ben had a fab time and is sleeping over there tonight. Noah had lots of cuddles with everyone, which was great cos I had handsfree time!
Yep Angels be prepared for the big explosion!
Noah seems to spend all his time licking his fists at the moment, he's obsessed!
Hope you all enjoyed your Easter eggs!

slowangels1 · 24/04/2011 19:09

STILL no big poo explosion - been 2 whole days now - record for alice Confused . secretly hoped it would happen on MIL today Grin Wink

OP posts:
JustOneMorePlease · 24/04/2011 20:16

angels Archie is bf and went nearly 6 whole days and man did we have the mother of all nappies, in fact we went through three nappies. Every time I put a clean one on he filled it....

I think they are effective at using most of the breast milk. The hv didn't seem bothered. With the other dc's I have had to give them some cooled boiled water when they got constipated when they went onto some formula.

Will wait for news!!!

slowangels1 · 24/04/2011 20:55

oh yes - will do a poo update with news flash when we have movement - gosh I never knew a year ago my life would come to this Wink . I know what's going to happen too - she'll do it when I go in to work with her on tuesday when we are going in to say hello to everyone Confused

OP posts:
wigglesrock · 24/04/2011 21:42

Fingers crossed for the poo angels Grin

Had a lovely day today, weather a bit colder but mum pushed ahead with the bbq!! Was lovely if bloody slightly cold. Could rival Tescos for the amount of Easter eggs dds got, my mum and mil make up baskets for the girls, complete with musical chicks, thanks for that mil Smile. A got 4 cuddly rabbits, here's hoping they don't multiply and also a whole load of new clothes!!

May have had slight thaw in bils huffiness. He left some eggs and a rabbit for the dds with pils, I text him earlier to thank him - I had left eggs for his dcs on Friday and was really pissed off I hadn't heard from him. But in the immortal words of Destinys Child - my momma taught me better than that, so I sent a bright and breezy message and got quite a nice one back asking when Mr W was off work this week, so with any luck might be sorted out this week. I know I said he could stew in it, but can't be arsed with the drama but no apologies are being made!!!!

Bensmum well done on the sleeping, A still going from 8ish to 7ish with one feed but she goes down quickly after the feed. She is also having great fun putting her fists in her mouth and also spent most of yesterday trying to eat her dress Grin

ledkr · 24/04/2011 22:09

D is fist and anything else sucking too,she enjoys all my bare flesh in this hot weather and had ago at my arm or shoulder, leaves aslimey residue.
Does anyone else feel the bond strengtheningnow?I am obsessed with her at the mo,was examining her earlier as if id never seen her before very weird, never had it before.
I took her in the bath with me today, very deep and warm,if you just support their heads they float its amazing,dd and dh were blown away,we took some fab pics of her with big bubbly wigs GrinI spent the whole time saying to dh "dont get my belly/leg/boobs in the frame.
Wiggles glad its more sorted with bil, silly arse.
angels there is awhole thread about non poohing bf babies.
Is anyone else scared to relax and accept these babies are sleeping thru now?It feels sooo good i cant bear it to stop.

Gave D a suck on a bit of easter egg today, she glazed over and looked ecstatic, shes defo a girl haha

wigglesrock · 24/04/2011 22:27

Ledkr A is a shoulder sucker too, dd2 was the same, she just used to lick my shoulders when we went swimming and I was holding her Grin
Shhh - don't mention teething!!! A looked as if she was going to make a grab for one of the Easter eggs today, think she got a bit fed up with the bloody cuddly bunnies.

When dd2 was a baby and was particularly unsettled (most of the time!!) I used to take her into the bath with me, she loved it.

Bensmum76 · 25/04/2011 09:10

Morning all!Noah is definitely a kicker, he even licked my friend the other day, she was left with his saliva all over her top!
Has anyone else's babe started staring when you eat? Noah watches me the whole time! I think he'll be grabbing at food before long!
Noah managed 11pm til 8am again last night but was in bed with us from 4am. Part of me loves sleeping with him while part of me is thinking about how we stop it at a later date! I'm kinda of the mind of just enjoying it while it lasts.
I must try getting in the bath with Noah, it sounds great

ledkr · 25/04/2011 09:20

Yes bm D watches us when we eat,my ds1 did it too and it turned into crying when we ate which was highly annoying.I was just eating my toast and willinbg her not to moan untill id finished and thought in a few months ill be giving her a piece too. Is anyone going to wait the actual 6 months untill solids,im going to see how it goes but i think we have to wean her early as when she has her op it is too painfull to suck for a while so she needs to be able to eat sloppy stuff. She woke at 4.30 Hmm normally goes till 6 but she went back to sleep until 8.45 which was lovely.
Got to do the bath thing again later as pics didnt come out .

Bensmum76 · 25/04/2011 11:25

Ledkr, I will probably wean Noah early, we weaned Ben at 18 weeks ad he was such a greedy baby, we just stuck with baby rice for a few weeks, then slowly moved onto veggies and fruit. I'm really looking forward to it. Be easier with getting out and about. I used to just give Ben a breadstick if we were out and he was peckish!
Does anyone else have a non napping baby? He just slept for about 15 minutes in his buggy when we were out then was raring to go again! Yesterday he had less than two hours nap in the day over three naps! I know he's sleeping well at night but I've always believed that good naps lead to good sleep at night. He woke at 4 this morning and moaned/cried until I got him into bed with me then slept til 7.30! Im getting worried that he's going to start waking more at night cos he's overtired!

americanexpat · 25/04/2011 13:46

It feels like it's been ages since I posted but I've been keeping up on the thread.

I'm proud to report that my little genius rolled from front to back on Saturday at 9.5 weeks then, to prove it wasn't a fluke, did it some more yesterday. I'm feeling quite proud. Grin He looked very confused when it happened though, like he wasn't sure why he was suddenly upside down.

I'm quite Envy of all this talk of sundresses and barbecues. The weather is a bit crap here and I'm dying to roast myself in the sun.

angels - good luck with the poo situation. L usually only goes once per day and it's explosive, I can't imagine multiple days. It's going to be ugly. Grin

slowangels1 · 25/04/2011 16:30

day 3 (said in the style of big brother voice over man) and still no poo Confused Shock

just had a work collegue and her little DD over and the DD was very heavy handed with Alice (like stuffing toys forcefully in her face and nearly treading on her etc). I was a bit Shock as alice hasn't experienced such like before and when they went alice fell asleep the quickest I've ever known! must've tired her out.

naughty mama ledkr giving d some choc Wink . 6 months seems so old to start weaning - i know lots of people who do it earlier. not sure what i'll do - guess i'll see how alice goes but hopefully will be easier going out when she has something else other than bfing.

OP posts:
ledkr · 25/04/2011 17:40

I wont wean for the sake of it but will watch carefully, remember ds1 weaned early as was big and greedy,hv told me at 4 months to "try him with a bit of rice" i nodded in aggreement but he was laready having a good dinner Grin
Poor Alice with her new bolshy friend.I had my family round for lunch and Delilah suddenly let out this terrible cry, made me run to her,she was sobbing and had real tears,i think she was just overwhelmed bless her.
I will try to be a considerate weaner too,dil lets dgs eat stuff running around my house, and isnt good with hand and face washing,it gets me stressed as his finger marks get everywhere.

BensmumD is a bit hit and miss with naps,i know i go on about it but the baby whisperer routine has helped lots, she tends to feed, play then when she is whingy i put her in pram to sleep then rock it a bit to settle her I then keep her close by so i can give it a little rock if she wakes too early.she has 2-3 naps sometimes one of them can be about 3 hrs but im going to start waking her if she does that as she too woke at 4.30 after a mammoth nap yesterday afternoon.

Well done baby ex pat.I wonder if he will do other stuff early?D can only kick vigorously so far.Being no 5 i am in no hurry for the mobility to begin.
