wigglesrock · 17/04/2011 14:23

Am also having babygro issues with Anna, my mum had bought her a few tops and leggings, the leggings had feet in them, put a pair on her the other day and her legs have all of a sudden got far too long for them,, they were 0-3 months too. Mr W was getting her ready for bed last night and two of her babygros were too short for her Grin. With dd1 I kept her in rompersuits with socks, Next, Boots have some lovely ones in at the minute. Anna is getting up 1 -2 times a night depending on when she has her last bottle and still think that's pretty good going. I put a pair of jeans/trousers on Anna last week, fitted her legs , I held her up and they promptly fell down, old skinny malink!!

A's mood has really improved the last day or so, so either she was a bit under the weather or she really hated her jabs.

ILovePonyo · 17/04/2011 16:54

skinny malink Grin Thats good that her mood has improved, maybe it was the jabs? dd seemed more tired after hers.

Well I went out to meet my friends for lunch at 12.30, got back at 4 and dp was slightly flustered! Probably because he'd tried to put her down and cook and eat his lunch Hmm what was he thinking eh! His first words as I got back were "you can't do anything" Grin I told him you can do stuff, just not when you want to. He's gone out now and dd has gone to sleep the little star :)

It felt a bit wierd being out without her, probably because it felt so normal which I didn't expect! Thats a bit contradictory Hmm - can't describe it well... It was lovely seeing her little face when I got home though.

slowangels1 · 17/04/2011 21:36

ponyo I can't wait to leave DH with alice so he has the same realisation as your DH Grin . Not that easy with bfing though Hmm. I know I could express but just can't be bothered. It's easy for him at week ends as I'm always around so when he wants to do all his bits I get to have the delight of stopping watching tv and mning whatever very important busines I'm doing. Gets a bit frustrating as I'd love for him to realise just how frustrating it can be.

MIL came for a visit today. She's driving me mad but won't dwell on that. Suffice to say those who were mentioning they get annoyed when MIL wants to feed bottles I completely understand (and I bf Wink ). She now keeps giving me dates where she is inviting herself over offering to come over - I'm making myself quite busy on those days Wink

Lucky wiggles getting a suprise outing Envy

Hope ledkr is enjoying the holiday and is PIL free

Keep forgetting to say hurrah for hubbard and the good news wth freya

Couldn't pick up new car this week end as I lost the log book Confused .

hubbard86 · 17/04/2011 22:47

ponyo i had my 1st night out last night got home at 3am (naughty hubbard Grin ) but dh did all the feeds and even took both dc's out this mornin while i had a lie in. Feel very lucky and rested. Enjoy your hols ledkr. I hope you find your log book soon angels

janedoe25 · 18/04/2011 07:29

Well girls, first day at work is here and im freaking! Just waiting on the kids comming to me, so scared of the playground gossips and awkward questions from the children. I also worry that i may cry in front of them, God why is life so bloddy hard?

Ah hubbard glad you had a fab night out at Grin at your lie in!

slowangels1 · 18/04/2011 08:03

good luck jane I'm sure it'll go fine and be better than you are expecting. Thinking of you today and hope you will report back at everything going smoothly. Be gentle with yourself though - don't work too hard Wink and make sure you get Brew breaks Grin

OP posts:
wigglesrock · 18/04/2011 08:52

jane thinking of you today, hope all goes well. Some playground mums can be really strange, it was a real shock when dd1 started school to discover that there were different types of mums, I thought we all struggled Grin Don't worry about crying, sometimes when you do, you find new friends in unexpected places xx

wigglesrock · 18/04/2011 09:39

Jane apologies for going a little country music on you "friends in unexpected places" Hmm, but you know what I mean Grin

Hope Ledkr and everyone who has older children on Easter break are having a lovely time. DD1 doesn't finish school until Thu, so hoping the weather holds. The sun is out here but its actually quite cool outside. Trying to find the energy for taking A to baby clinic this morning. Can't decide whether it will be really busy because of the holidays or whether it'll be empty, God listen to me, has anyone else lost the ability to make a decision recently Grin

Bensmum76 · 18/04/2011 09:56

Jane, good luck with today, I hope it goes ok. Will be thinking of you. Remember how brave you've been, anyhow you will continue to be.
Wiggles, i can't even decide what to eat at the moment, i ended up having a crisp sandwich for lunch yesterday as could not decide on what to make. I don't know if it's baby brain or lack of sleep! Though I sent dh to pils yesterday with the boys and had had an extra 3 hours sleep, don't feel like it today though!
Hubbard imglad you had a goodnight out! I'm too worried to have a late night as struggling with the lack of sleep as it is!
Ponyo, dont you just love how the daddy's have no idea just how hectic it can be with a baby!

ILovePonyo · 18/04/2011 10:39

angels I can't wait until you can leave A with your dh! Sounds like it will be a shocker for him :) Sorry about the MIL, good for you not dwelling on it, don't let it wind you up, although sometimes getting it off your chest on here canhelp as ledkr and myself can confirm Wink Good luck finding the log book, how annoying for you.

jane Really hope today has gone as well as it can for you, there had better not be any horrible gossips Angry Do let us know how you got on.

hubbard out til 3am eh! Sounds fab. I had a lie in til 10am today while dp got dd up.

wiggles I used to/still get anxious about making a decision whether to do something, I don;t know exactly what I'm worried about but find myself faffing for ages. Now I try and be tough and just go! Our easter break has started today and whilst I don't have other kids dp is a teacher so is off work for 2 weeks, hooray! (lets see if I'm still saying that at the end of the holiday)

Crisp sandwiches sound like a fab lunch to me bensmum Grin

janedoe25 · 18/04/2011 12:04

Sorry for being so self obsessed today.
Things did not go to a good start. its a long story so i will cut it down, one of my friends has 2 kids,a 4yr old and a 6 month old, she told me las week she is pg again but is terminating the pregnancy. Now i really did not need to know this! She text me this morning asking if i could look after her 2 children whilst she has the termination today. Now i am not judging her as it is her decision and her life but so fucking insensitive of her, i did not need to know and most certainly not care for her children when she is doing this!
And to top it all off i found out yesterday that a friend had lost her baby girl at 23 weeks. So its not a good day for work!

wigglesrock · 18/04/2011 12:16

Shit Jane , that's a bad day sweetheart and yes your friend was being exceptionally insensitive, no rights or wrongs, just not a very nice thing to ask you to do, as you said you didn't even have to know about the termination. Feel for your friend who lost her baby girl, hope she has got some good support. Thinking of you, hope today and the rest of the week gets a little easier xx

ledkr · 18/04/2011 12:46

Jane you are justified in feeling pissed off, very blood
y insensitive. your friend is lucky to have you as a friend who understands how she feels but remember its early days for you. I'm so glad we are still in touch am so looking forward to hearing life getting better for you cos it will x
Currently on way to caravan having left pils. Unfortunately they are right behind us like stalkers. We have told them we are going to the park at 4 and they can't come as not punters, I need to unpack and sort out girls to get to disco, bingo and the BAR!
Have funny feeling they will still manage to hang about but ive no fight left in me now!
Weekend was ok but the great grannys asked if she was cold a thousand times.
D skept right thru til 7 Fri and sat then woke at 5 this am,gutted, I thought shed cracked it.
Hope you are all well and enjoying the sun. Off to beach now, may drown Mil.

wigglesrock · 18/04/2011 13:36

Sorry Ledkr for laughing but having visions of the pils chasing you around shouting "wait on us" while you pretend you can't hear them Grin

Well after all my humming and haaing took A to the weighing clinic, she weighs 11lb 5 Grin. It's a self weigh clinic, the midwives set up four sets of scales, baby wipes etc and you just do it yourself and speak to them if you need to!!. It was a bit weird seeing all these babies in nappies queuing to get weighed like a bag of mushrooms but it was also really quick which was great as dd2 was getting ready to strip off and join in Hmm Anna has started to "play" with things, a friend bought her a cuddly bear/rabbit (can't tell), with a rattle inside and she is sitting in her chair hitting and trying to stuff it into her mouth.

Her passport also came today, so now she has a passport and a bank account, ready to head on holiday in June Smile

janedoe25 · 18/04/2011 13:54

LoL at wiggles "bag of mushrooms".

Hope you manage to lose your stalkers en route to the park ledkr and enjoy your break!

ILovePonyo · 18/04/2011 13:58

God jane I'm so sorry, you did not need to know that at all - I really am baffled as to how some people can be so insensitive?! What was she thinking? Very sad news about your other friend too. Really hope you are ok, the rest of the week has got to go better for you. Sending you lots of hugs xx

ledkr I'm sorry but I laughed as well envisaging the PIL trailing you whilst you try and lose them. Enjoy the hol though, especially the bar Grin

Love the comparison of babies and mushrooms wiggles very cute! Where are you going in June? Apols if you've already said.

wigglesrock · 18/04/2011 14:00

Ponyo "We're going to Ibiza, off to the island" - joke only works if you know the Vengaboys song Blush

ILovePonyo · 18/04/2011 14:03

Ha - i did recognise it! Maybe I shouldn't have admitted that but oh well...

debka · 18/04/2011 14:05

ledkr you are the only person I know who goes to a disco, bingo and bar, what does that say about boring old me and my boring friends??? Would LOVE to have a meet up one day, do you think we'd recognise each other???!!!

jane what a totally awful thing for your 'friend' to do. Did she not even stop to think for one minute?

wiggles you reminded me, must remember to sort out S's passport, we're going to Slovenia in June. How old is Anna? S is 10 weeks tomorrow and she bats at the toys on her baby gym but I haven't tried giving her a toy yet. TBH she is such a good baby, sometimes it feels like all I do is feed her, stick her under her baby gym or in her bouncy chair whilst I Do Things, then put her in bed when she gets grumpy! DD1 got a lot more Stimulation and Parental Involvement.

Got an invitation through the post today for S to be involved in a research project on food allergies- here's a link. Started a thread in Breast and Bottle Feeding too. What do you all think?

ledkr glad you've got the best sleeper here, you deserve her what with all her problems in the early days and the dreaded pils Grin

Bensmum76 · 18/04/2011 14:56

Debka,I think I got one of those invites in the post today, I put it straight ion the recycling!
Ledkr, I too had an image in my head of you driving along country lanes trying to lose your in laws at top speed!
Jane, im so sorry about your insensitive friend, some people can be so thoughtless!
Talking about entertaining the babies, Noah definitely gets less attention than Ben did as a baby. I did put toys in his hands yesterday and he kept hold of them so I told dh Noah was playing with his toys!
It's seems hard to believe that one of our babies are coming up to the 12 week mark already! It all goes so quickly!
Had a call from hv today, I'm back on the massage course that starts next week. My hv said she would refer me then they told me there were no spaces, now I'm back on it again. Really looking forward to it and hoping to meet and compare notes with other mums too.

wigglesrock · 18/04/2011 15:24

Debka Anna is 9 weeks tomorrow!!, saw another school mum at bus stop today, her little girl is 5 weeks and she looked so tiny but was bigger than A at birth. It only took 10 days to get As passport processed, really strange photo but that's her for 5 years anyway.

Although A has taken a shine to the toy, she's not overly fussed on the baby gym but she loves lying on her changing mat.

WanderingSheep · 18/04/2011 17:30

Hi all! I haven't posted for yonks due to not even having time to go to the toilet in peace, lol! Hope everyone is ok and enjoying their little angels.

My DDs are fab but really do my head in at times! Lottie is a fab sleeper at night and will go from 9 till 5.30. I don't even need to settle her to sleep either, she'll just go to sleep by herself when I put her in the Moses basket. Totally different story during the day though! She does NOT sleep and wants entertaining constantly. These Easter holidays have been so difficult with having DD1 off too as she's constantly waking dd2 up from what little sleep she has and doesn't do as she's told. As awful as it sounds, I'm looking forward to school next week! I feel like I'm chasing my tail trying to get anything done ATM.

Sorry to be a bit me me me Blush. I haven't had chance to catch up with the thread. I promise I'll try harder!

Bensmum76 · 18/04/2011 18:54

Hi Wandering, I was thinking of you earlier and wondering where you were!! Sounds as though things are hectic for you at the moment! Sounds like Lottie is doing really well too.
Hope we've all had good days. Noah managed two naps in his cot - one for 2 hours, and one for 40 minutes - yah!!!! After his second nap this afternoon I got into bed with him and snoozed along too - nothing like it for a bit of bonding!

ledkr · 18/04/2011 22:05

at the disco now actually! few cokes, vodka concealed in the changing bag! !! Done a few party dances and played bingo, d asleep in pram, marvelous! We should arrange a Feb caravan holiday, would be so funny, ill show you how it is. ha ha
