large pillow coming your way george!!!
i dont mind not sleeping at night, I am always doing something online or at my art desk (lots of getting upto date scrapbooking last night!) but come the mornings when dh gets up (crash, bang, crash, -and thats him being quiet!!!) then the big kids get up........and bingo someone wakes toddler....................ugh, i really struggle. think must of been vampire or something in previous life as can stay awake all night but sleep all day!!
grocery shopping to do in a mo, then promised dd2 we would make spider shaped biscuits (!) then more work on fireplace I'm stripping. then food to prepare etc.......not the worlds most exciting day, but never mind, tomorrow am off to baby show for my 4d scan and lots of freebies so i can handle one average day

spider shaped biscuits tell me more!! emmm gone mad for anything sweet...

sweetheart · 20/10/2005 10:55

I'm having another boring day in the office - just preparing some notes ready for when my mat cover starts on Monday. I'm really starting to panic about how much I have to get through with her before I go. I've actually had my first panic about leaving my job today. Not something I thought I was going to suffer from

In some ways it still feels like I've got FAR to long to go, but in other ways I'm worried about the lack of time I've got.

ebbie22 · 20/10/2005 11:01

Hello ladies, not ignoring you guys but am feeling so sick and dizzy cant type for long....
will take me years to catch up but glad everyone is ok xxx

Jaysfirst · 20/10/2005 11:31

morning allll,
physio for me at 1 30, and at sometime today i want to do some baking too. It was someones fault from yesterdays thread about duffnuts..... i went out to buy some then decided i would do some baking instead, bought loads of baking type bits and am now looking at hem wondering what to make.. ( i really am not a baker!!) i WAS having a nice ie in this morning as sleep in the night is very broken with waking every time i move ( boody spd) then the doorbell went at 740 for a parcel deliver for dh ( and hes not even here to fetch it himslef, grrrr) got up to get it then the cst eanted feeding then the bins needed to go out...etc etc etc, so may well have a snooze after physio!

ei23monster · 20/10/2005 11:39

morning ladies
i cant remember much of what has been said so i may miss some things!!
flutter, glad all is well with you and your bub and you havent dropped as yet sorry to hear about the infection tho i suffered from them for most of my pg an its horrible! take it easy hun!!
DQ u still not sleepin hun? me neither i lay in bed starin at the ceilin las night til 3:15 and then woke up at 5 absolutely starvin!! i had to get up and practically 'force' myself to eat a doughnut!! if thats possible of course as theres always time for doughnuts with me!!
have i missed anythin out??
anywho... hugely moment happened to me last night when we went to pick up the car-which is lovely btw!!- i was sittin im dp's mums car on the way there and kept gettin like a sweet/ milky smell every so often. i meantioned it to dp who said he couldnt smell anythin. when we got to the mans house he invited us in and offered us a cuppa-i never say no to a cuppa so i decided to take off my coat only to get given v.v. funny looks by the man and dp started to laugh! i asked what was so funny and dp's mum- also laughing heartily at my misfortune said that either id spilled somethin on my top or i was leaking!! not a little bit either there was two HUGE yellowy stains coverin my boobs and then i had to sit there in this strange mans boiling living room with my coat on wishing the floor would swallow me up!! oh the shame!!!

Poor you, Hope you feel better soon and are resting up.

Jay,
hope the physio helps the SPD. Its always the same you see one job that needs doing and 50 more pop up!

Quick Question

Are you ladies taken iron tablets?? how many do you take??

MINNIE1 · 20/10/2005 11:43

ei23monster

you have reminded me to get the pads!!!
You poor thing.. Your must have went all the shades of the rainbow.

Well wear on the new car..

Jaysfirst · 20/10/2005 11:44

LMAO ei, you poor thing, but a good story!! I havent had any leakage at all yet, absolutly nothing, 30 wks tomorrow, when should i expect it?

Thanks minnie, i think this is the last physio as i am not goiong to the osteopath, physio have done all they can ( belfts crutches etc) and its easier for me to get to osteopath rather than having to drive ( which is painful) all the way to hospital!

Not taking any iron tablets, am taking pregnacare though, waiting for bloods to come back to see if all is ok.

At least its a beutiful day today, really sunny here... for all those off work anyway!

Jaysfirst · 20/10/2005 11:45

*as i am NOW going to the osteopath.... god my typing gets worse!!

ei23monster · 20/10/2005 11:50

i really did minnie it was soooo embarrassing!! dp was still laughing about it at 7:00 this mornin!! a-hole!!
re: the iron tablets have you been prescribed them? or is it just as a supplement that you are takin them for? usually the supplements come in 200mg or 400mg doses depending on the brand etc. if you arent anaemic i would stick to the lower dose an i think its just one a day still dep on the brand etc. iron tablets really bung you up aswell so best not overdo it if you dont really need to take them! have you had your blood checked recently? its usually around now that the m/w will check for anaemia so if you aint had it done request it as its always useful to know these things!! hope that helps a bit

OP posts:
sweetheart · 20/10/2005 11:55

ei - sorry but at your misfortune - You'll look back on that and laugh one day I'm sure!

I haven't had any leaking - and didn't have any at all with dd. Not every preg woman gets it.

I would also not recommend taking iron tablets unless you have been told to - they do bung up your system alot.

george32 · 20/10/2005 11:55

Ebbie, you poor thing. Hope you feel better soon.
LOL at Ei & your leaking nipples . Mine have shown signs in the bath but not anytime else so far- phew!! I'm 30 weeks today so I guess it will only get worse!

I'm taking pregnacare still Minnie (well, I will be when I remember to buy some more). Not taking iron specifically though.

Really grumpy now. Went to Mamas & Papas online to buy some things for the nursery, as we have agreed on their sunshine safari range, only to find out it is being discontinued. How annoying is that. Going to have to start the whole selection process again & it's not easy to make decisions at the moment (anyone else spending hours staring at things in supermarkets before being forced to choose something as people think you have gone mad!! )

ei23monster · 20/10/2005 12:06

i can actually see the funny side of the situation today but i was in a right mood all night last night! i only spoke to dp to tell him to shut up so i think he knew i had a cob on!! he even treated me to a maccies deli sandwich and a choc milkshake which i sat in silence and ate!! i didnt even say thanks!! how ungrateful am i??!!
george, im lucky in the way that i had already decided ages before i found out i was pg what theme i wanted for the nursery so no probs there! but i totally understand about the starin at things not bein able to decide situation!! i think thats part of the reason why dp agreed to let me do our shopping online!! if we go into any shop recently it seems to take me an hour to pick anythin out!! he hates shopping aswell!!

OP posts:
sweetheart · 20/10/2005 12:09

indecisive - yep thats me. Not so much in the supermarket but I get in from work and dh says "what do you want for tea"

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

give me 3 hours and I might have decided!

Needless to say dh's face is normally

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 12:12

chatterboxes is right for this thread...pmsl

Morning all..or afternoon just seen the time....

ei..lol at your story bless ya hun..i never had leaky boobs with adam or this one, just the need to express a little with the pain..lol

George jealous of your lie in..lol

SH dont worry about work they will cope..lol

I feel a bit more human today so anti bs most be kicking in..thank goodness...am also less darthvaderish. Shopping has just arrived and is away and have washing in but think thats about it for me today...lol

george32 · 20/10/2005 12:16

SH, I'm on a jacket potato & baked beans thing at the moment so that is what I have every night given the chance!

Feet up for you today then Nemo?

Anyone got any good ideas for our nursery then? It needs to be for either a girl or boy, go with a cream carpet but not just be beige (I'd love that but the baby might think there is no colour in the world!!). Refuse to buy from Mama & Papas now to spite them for discontinuing Sunshine Safari.

bonkerz · 20/10/2005 12:17

Hi ladies
forgive me for not reading the thread yet! You girls are soooo chatty!

Emotionally im ok, physically pain is increasing and has spread to my left pelis now. Am coping as much as possible with pills and ball but my sister, who is 15 weeks pregnant , has her midwife coming to house on friday so am gonna see if she can help at all!! Think i need a belt.

Am having hassle regarding finances and just getting a rough idea on how much mums poilcies are worth so we can pay for the funeral is causing major issues! funeral is all sorted for next Thursday though and i feel relieved to finally have a date etc. Feels kind of surreal though to be discussing flowers etc for the coffin when we should be planning for christmas and baby!

Eating wise im still struggling but managing to force down milk and bananas at least.

Will pop in again soon.

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 12:26

bonkerz hun hope the mw can refer you to a physio by your mums, am glad oyu have a date although still tough going for you, you know where I am!!!!!

ooo george have u looked at the babies r us stuff, quite colourful, we did adams[now to be baby] walls apple green then just added some colourful mobiles and pictures etc.

Now i think we will be having baked potato and beans for lunch..lol

sweetheart · 20/10/2005 12:32

bonkerz - glad to hear your holding up hun.

george, I know you said not beige but this teddies range is the range we have in our nursery and it looks beautiful.

I think Atgos do a nice lilac and lime green set. I found it really difficult to choose a set too so I can sympathise!

george32 · 20/10/2005 12:33

Hi Bonkerz, I'm sorry you are in pain but glad you are doing OK emotionally.
I know with my Dad, the funeral was a really good place to start looking forwards from (as was scattering his ashes). Can you hand all the financial stuff over to a solicitor at all? I got one to sort out the probate etc and it was such a relief to get shot of all the worry.

Keep eating & drinking. Don't under estimate the healing powers of chocolate.

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 12:35

the jungle range in next looks cute but bright..lol

george32 · 20/10/2005 12:36

Oooh, that is lovely SH, just seen the cuddly teddy to go with it too - how cute!
I'm going to look at babies r us now......

scully · 20/10/2005 12:38

finally a chance to post, hectic morning
Ninah, if I could borrow that book, that would be wonderful. have given up on my slack friend returning either of mine before this baby arrives, grrr.....
George, you're not the only one taking a year off, me too and as for your sleep in, didn't need to hear that this morning, had a crap night's sleep, but at least being busy has kept my mind off my tiredness, and I have tomorrow off
You could still consider that nursery range from M&P, are they selling it still? And any bits you want to buy or replace later, you are sure to find on Ebay, for a lot less. I like the Barnaby Bear range they do, but I think that is also discontinued. There is loads of it (new or 2nd hand) on Ebay though, for a lot less than M&P want to charge. Couldn't believe their prices for a cot duvet and bumper, ridiculous especially if this baby throws up as much as dd did.......Something to think about and saves you have to make anymore decisions Being a Libran, I understand the indecisiveness gene
Good to hear it was an infection and not the baby making an early arriving Flutter!
I wonder who will be first?????

sweetheart · 20/10/2005 12:38

we got beige and pine furniture to go with it and it does look really nice!
