Flutterbee could you be our first dec bubs?????? Hope everything is ok hun.

Not a lot going on here...nursery is semi done for whoever asked..sorry cant remember..I have washed all adams old clothes and old toys etc and dh put cot together last night but it is also still storing a load of junk..lol I have kept adam entertained today with the birthing ball which he chased around the living room till 1pm, then had his lunch and put himself to bed at 2-4.30pm...lol Am glad he has been relatively easy today as I couldnt have handled him being like he was yesterday. Something easy like spaghetti on toast for tea tonight.

Nemo666 · 19/10/2005 17:20

I have a TMI question????????

Is anyone else nipples really painful especially getting to this time of day..the only thing that helps it to squeeze them a bit so colsotrum comes out..I had to do this when bf adam but never when pg..have also found now its happening more and more so requiring more squeezing iykwim. Am i just creating a viscoius circle?

Jaysfirst · 19/10/2005 17:48

Good news DQ about baby, do you know how hard it is to walk with everything crossed, i got some funny looks at waitrose i tell you! Didnt buy duffnuts in the end, but i did spend a heap of pennies on baking stuff, think tomorrow i might be covered in flour!
Hope sh is ok and hospital went ok...will have to read up on the rest of the posts before i can make any comment, i got dentists, babies names and onlin shopping...hope everyone is ok!

Jaysfirst · 19/10/2005 18:09

oops i meant flutter re the hospital, sorry SH !
BTW , I had a 4d scan a week ago, it was amazingly awesome! We decided that we wanted one as this is the first grandchild on both our sides, we went to Harley Street, and felt all very important for aboiut 15 mins! Our package meant we got a 30 min DVD of our dd and 20 printed pics plus extra pics on a CD. it was WELL worth the money, i totally bonded and have watched the dvd a hundred times already!!

george32 · 19/10/2005 18:51

Hi everyone, Hi new Dec ladies and welcome back Minnie. So glad you haven't prepared yet either. I can share that honour with you! Must be to do with being at the end of Dec, we have been lulled into thinking we have ages.

DQ, what great news about your scan (the soft marker part I mean). I am so pleased. Sorry about your little one being in the wrong place at the moment. I've got the same problem with my little alien, it insists on being across me which is making my ribs really hurt now. Going to kneel with my bum in the air all evening to see if it will shift. Tried poking and prodding but it just shoves me back!

Hope everything is OK at the hospital Flutter.

I've had a bit of a scan through to catch up. Who was feeling a bit dodgy for finishing work already because of suffering from SPD? Please don't, I've finished work & I don't have any good excuse, I just don't want to be there!!!

Very sleepy after all my visiting (and insomnia paying it's nightly visits) so going to crash early tonight I think.

Jaysfirst · 19/10/2005 19:11

hey George, i was one of the lucky ones with SPD signed off of work two weeks back now, crutches, pain killers, support belt, osteopath, the works Id kinda hoped that i would be able to work for a little bit longer but like i said b4 and to everyone else, you have to read your body and what its telling you, so her ei am , currently on sick leave and not doing a great deal except buy stuff on ebay, chat on here and watch baby programmes on the tele! Just had dinner and feeling soooo very fat!! going to lay out on the couch and wacth terrible tele, with one eye on the lap top too!

flutterbee · 19/10/2005 19:16

Hi Ladies,

Good news little baby George is OK I however have an infection and have to go back to clinic in a few days for a check.
I had those straps round my tummy to monitor baby and check for contractions and it was great cause he had hicups and I couldn't stop laughing.
The Dr examined me and said that I am execting a big baby I really hope she is wrong and she also said that he is head down and begining to engage but they have arranged a scan so that they can see how much and how big.
I was in the delivery suite and the lady in the next room was in obvious full blown labour with all the screams that were coming through the walls it made me realise just how scared I am about giving birth, Oh well my classes should come through in the next weekish so hopefully that will calm my nerves.

flutterbee · 19/10/2005 19:19

Jay I too have been off with SPD started suffering with it at 15 weeks and finished work at 26 weeks.

Nemo666 · 19/10/2005 19:24

flutterbee...labour really really isnt as bad as it seems for some..I screamed once which was as adams head popped out mainly due to being in shock he was here..lol He was9lb1oz and quite an easy labour.

flutterbee · 19/10/2005 19:26

It's just first time nerves Nemo I bet they will get worse and worse until it actually happens and then I will wonder what all the fuss was about.

sweetheart · 19/10/2005 19:31

flutterbee - great to hear you are back from hospital and feeling OK - thought we were gonna have to start a post natal thread there for a minuite!

flutterbee · 19/10/2005 19:32

legs firmly crossed till December

Jaysfirst · 19/10/2005 19:36

about the same as me then flutter, started off at 17 weeks (ish) and signed off at 28 weeks....not nice is it at all. And as for first itme nerves, i am right there with you on that one also! last night i was lying in bed and ( while i know its going to happen really) i thought to myself, theres no going back now, this is really it, she has to come out of me somehow!!
Glad that all is ok, somehow i think i am going to have a big baby too, i measure 32inchs when i was 28 +4 days, midwife had to do it twice!!

TicTacsMum · 19/10/2005 20:44

I've just been to my first antenatal class and saw round the labour ward & midwives unit. It's all seeming a bit real now!!

Jaysfirst · 19/10/2005 22:01

hiya tic, i cant wait for my visit, not ill nov 6th tho..... it really is happening isnt it!!!!!

dramaqueen72 · 19/10/2005 22:09

just been reading how the 'average baby' put on approx 8ozs a week between now and birth -for anyone whos had a late scan and got a est. baby weight- this makes my guy pretty much the same as my others -phew! no 10lber in here!!!!

ei had a guess on your baby game btw. finally. took me forever to remember to go there!!

TicTacsMum · 19/10/2005 22:18

Jaysfirst - I missed my first session last week as I was off work sick - a horrible flu-y thing. Not sure if I missed anything but i've been reading so much that i'm sure it didn't matter.

Jaysfirst · 19/10/2005 22:58

flutterbee

dramaqueen72 · 20/10/2005 09:23

morning ladies
you wont believe how late i was up!! ugh, never tired THEN but omg -NOW! feel abit like death warmed up. and busy day of course.. reminds me of how its going to be v soon with baby too. eek!
kangel found some reassuring stats for us -approx 37% of babies are breech now, but in the next two and a half weeks this drops to 5-7%. I'm so hanging on that one!!!!
whats everyone up to today?

george32 · 20/10/2005 09:45

Hi all. What a lovely nights sleep I've just had. Didn't wake til 5.00am then back off til about 20 mins ago - BLISS! If only it happened every night rather than only when I'm dead on my feet.

Glad to hear that the babies are still spinning about DQ. I do hope they manage to work out the right way to lie soon.

Am I the only one having a year off? I guess that is why I'm not so bothered about finishing early as I have quite a bit of time & not certain that I will want to go back to my original job anyway.

Not sure what to do today. I think I might go & look out some colour schemes for the nursery.

george32 · 20/10/2005 09:46

Sorry DQ, you probably don't want to hear about my lovely nights sleep.
Please feel free to lob a pillow at my head
