I thought we were meant to get MORE chatty as our pregnancies progressed! Whats happening?

My first PROPER day of maternity leave today and i got called out to work 2 hours in a creche! Didnt mind cos im in a catch 22 situation at the moment. If i keep busy and do little jobs my hips ache really bad and if i sit still i end up thinking about my mum and cry my eyes out! Cant win!

For the past 2 hours i have had horrid BH. Am so uncomfortable and a couple of them have actually hurt. Have decided to go and try to sleep! Thats a joke!!

CAn some one please start the new thread now!

hey bonkerz and all... i thought we were too, but still i guess people stil have thier lives to get on with!

We have just had our friends three terrors round,(2,4,7) all dressed up in costumes and creating havoc throughout the house, honestly it was like a bomb site when they left, but it was cool though god knows how you mums survive with more than one bambino, you all deserve medals!

Am watching that programme about three sisters and IVF....what a story!

evening all
just a quickie cos i am going to bed in a min. Adam is being a complete nightmare child and driving me top despair..literally..lol so any tips appreciated. Dh and I think he is testing me cos obviously with spd etc I cant be as physical as he would like and also has started to refuse to acknowledge the baby..do you think he knows its nearly time????????? HE just wont do anything I ask him to whether it be get dressed or change his nappy he fights me on it.

soryr to moan just dont know what to do about it so its hard being home with him at the minute.

bonkerz · 01/11/2005 08:06

nemo: be consistenet babe. I too have a little boy who is so intelligent and knows that now is the time to wind me up and test me! how did we get such clever children!?! without meaning to sound like a text book CONSISTENCY is the key here and explain to DS what will happen if he doesnt do as told. Start a pasta jar for him and explain that when he gets 10 bits of pasta for being nice and doing what he is asked he will get a small treat ( make it a sweet or something!) then throw in the old santa is watching story and write his christmas list with him!!!

Nothing to do today so my aim is to watch TV all day and relax because my bump has been hurting all night. Had a couple of BH in the night where i thought i was going to lose control of my bowels! SORRY TMI!!!!!

Hi all,
Hope everyone is OK this morning. Sorry you had a painful night Bonkerz. Definitely rest for you today.

Nemo, any joy with Adam? I've got all this fun ahead of me . I hope you guys are still around to help when I'm at that stage.

I didn't get very far with painting the nursery yesterday so I'm going to start today. I'm so looking forward to being able to put everything in there.

scully · 01/11/2005 09:14

yep nemo, as hard as it is when you're tired and fed up, try and stay consistent. He'll keep at you until he see's a chink in your armour I'm sure it must be confusing seeing mum with a big tummy and all the baby talk, especially if they aren't quite old enough to understand yet.
dd seems to be doing ok with it, just very clingy and cuddley with me lately and coming into our bed in the early hours several times a week which she never used to do. Although she is constantly under my feet and like a shadow I'm trying not to get cross as I keep thinking I won't have as much time with her soon.
Enjoy the tv Bonkerz, sounds a lovely way to spend the day
