Like the jungle one too
Bright is good (I think!). It's a nice sunny room so I think it can take a fair bit of colour.

sweetheart · 20/10/2005 12:40

scully - perhaps we should start a pool on who'll be first - or who'll have the biggest/smalles baby!!!!

Any gamblers amongst us?

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 12:42

im willing
ive already said I thiknk DQ will be first.

scully · 20/10/2005 12:43

I'm leaning towards beige as well SH, especially as moses basket and then cot will be in our room for a while. Plenty of other colour with all the toys etc
Must start washing things soon....good practice I suppose for the amount of washing I will soon have again - definitely not in proportion to their size, that's for sure
Was thinking of you dq and kangel, whilst sitting on my ball last night watching tv Does anyone's back get sore sitting on it, maybe my posture isn't so good.....

scully · 20/10/2005 12:45

That's a good idea sh, we could guess arrival date, weight and sex perhaps?

george32 · 20/10/2005 12:45

According to my expectnet game, I'm having the biggest baby (going to be a bit of a world record by the looks of it!! )

Someone wanted the link to the games didn't they? It's www.expectnet.com.

I'm too bitter & twisted to buy anything from them now Scully . Might have to check out e-bay though!

sweetheart · 20/10/2005 12:46

scully,

this is the furniture we have It all looks so beautiful sitting there waiting for a baby

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 12:46

we got the winnie the pooh sunny days for adam which of course has just been washed and redone for baby..lol

Home and bargain sometimes have good nursery ranges in.

ei23monster · 20/10/2005 12:47

bonkerz, good to hear from you hun im glad to hear you are holding up alright but sorry to hear about the pain you are in! big hugs to you hun {{{{{}}}}}
does anyone know where i can get reasonably priced quilt/bumper sets without pictures on? like just plain colours? our nursery is really quite busy with pictures etc on the walls so i wanted to get some bedding that wasnt too busy to tone the room down a tad! any ideas??

george32 · 20/10/2005 12:48

SH, that is lovely, I'm so that your nursery is ready.
What is home & bargain Nemo?

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 12:49

ei you might be better having a look around heritage market or st johns.

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 12:50

George do you not have a home and bargain linen warehouse?????????????? or the shops?????? They sell lots of things either bedding in the linen shop..obviously..or food, toys, toiletries really cheaply compared to shops but is name brand stuff

sweetheart · 20/10/2005 12:50

ei how about this pastel range from babies r us?

sweetheart · 20/10/2005 12:51

I've never heard of that shop either???? Is it a Northern shop?

ei23monster · 20/10/2005 12:52

i might just do that nemo! dp's nan has been visiting great homer street market the past couple of weeks to see what theyv got there but its moving soon so the indoor bit that usually has all the baby stalls is closing down til they move!! i might just go on saturday mornin!!

OP posts:
george32 · 20/10/2005 12:54

We are obviously missing out down here!

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 12:55

lol must only be northern then...surprised as it is a really busy shop..lol There are tons of them around here...I know of 5 within 10 min drive..lmao

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 12:56

havent been to great homer street for ages...keep meaning to go and have a nosey around the markets..or even go up to widnes market.

george32 · 20/10/2005 12:59

Just looked on e-bay for the sunshine safari stuff & people are paying more for some of the bits than they are in the M&P sale!

scully · 20/10/2005 14:09

oh dear George you're not having much luck! Keep looking though, I regularly book mark things, especially that are local where I can avoid postage costs & see what the price goes up to, just before the auction is ending. There's no rush to get a bumper or quilt though, don't think you can use them when the baby is small anyway? Is this your first? Try not to let your hormones buy the whole range, you don't use a lot of what the shops want to sell you, although it is all so cute .
Haven't heard of that store either Nemo, pity we don't have them down here.....
Your furniture is lovely SH. Our friends are returning our cot and moses basked to us soon, and I have managed to consolidate dd's clothes from 2 sets of drawers to 1 and am moving out all the children's linen into the airing cupboard, so baby get's a set of drawers in dd's room, with their bed in our room. Will have to do for the first 4mths or so, until we decide if we're selling or not.

dramaqueen72 · 20/10/2005 14:57

afternoon ladies. bit of a manic day so far...........groceries with a two yr old is absolutely shattering, then the pot of cream split on the way home and flooded the car with cream! so had to clean car, -can you imagine the smell if I ahd left it!- decided to clean/clear out whole car as dh is driving it to london tomorrow and grumbles like mad about it not being perfectly spotless (!). then decided to clean buggy, and scrubbed that. THEN made lunch about half an hour ago. and ahve just sat down. okay so nto alot on paper but bloody hell, for me this pg with not alot of sleep it feels like four hours running!!!! no energy to do fireplace now, and cross with myself.

who said about the ball? god forgive me lack of names, but no my back hurts if I dont sit on the ball!!!! make sure its pumped right up (knees lower than hips when sat on it) and try rocking gently in circles or bouncing gently when on it. darn comfy. currently trying to spend at least twenty minutes twice a day with hips higher than head, about 9-12inches, and trust me guys NOT easy right now. you should see some of the positions i have got stuck in!!!!
am v lucky on nursery decor front. used to get paid for painting and 'pulling together' other peoples tend to pick a theme of my own, and find bits from all over for it. my mother makes patchwork bedding in said theme material (its all beach and sea this time) and the rest of the bedding is plain. love the 'homemade' and vintage kinda feel it has in the end. when i've done the nursery will download some pictures or something. have you thought of mix and matching george? a safari/jungle theme is love to work with and very bright and cheery.
s/h said it before but i love your furniture range
nemo, god had something to ask you but cant for the life of me remember now. but hello anyhow.
ebbie feel better soon hun!!!
hello bonkerz, hang in there, know its a surreal time of your life, sorry
oh and nemo!!!!! I dont want to go first, Or have it in novemeber so can you rethink that bet purlease!!!!!! think s/h will be first. sorry s/h!

sweetheart · 20/10/2005 15:26

lol - please please please can I go first!!! I think I'll scream if this baby is late - I really have had enough of being pregnant!

george32 · 20/10/2005 16:38

SH, I'm sure you will be first. You seem an age ahead of me.
I think I might be one of the last. Please don't leave me on the thread alone!!!

After all this talk of sitting on balls, I have finally ordered one from Argos. Due to arrive on Sat. (I did have to order a TV stand for the kids too, I didn't really pay £6 whatever delivery just for a ball!!)

DQ, I wish I could do something like that with the nursery but I have the artistic ability of a rhino. It would end up looking like a car boot sale! I'd love to see your nursery when it is finished though, sounds lovely.
Scully, you've caught me!! Yes, the hormones are telling me to buy everything (thank god the range has gone from M&Ps! ).
Was going to ask about bumpers as I had heard you can't use them for a baby. Shall I skip buying that then?
I've found a nice jungly theme in mothercare too so will pop in to have a look tomorrow I think.

ninah · 20/10/2005 16:44

hiya just a quick hello and thanks to dq george and sh, you know why!

ninah · 20/10/2005 16:45

no, I will be last, don't worry george I won't leave you behind!
