:P at Scorps!

Medee · 24/02/2011 20:27

I have been eating raw chocolate brownie dough - haz I hurt my baybee?

OP posts:
Scorpette · 24/02/2011 20:46

Yes. You are a monster who does not deserve children.

(PSHAW!)

rocketleaf · 24/02/2011 22:19

I had prawns again last weekend and having fish pie with prawns and stilton in tomorrow so I will join you in the monsters corner.

rocketleaf · 24/02/2011 22:21

scorpelina if sprout is wriggling and I rub my belly she goes still, either she thinks it's hide and seek or finds it calming. Bloody hope that works once she's born!!

laurielou · 25/02/2011 08:11

Rocket Bug is the same! When I touch my belly s/he stops. Awkward little sod Grin. After my mini meltdown yesterday Bug danced & jumped around all evening - I ended up poking my belly & using my stern "mum" voice telling him/her that it was bed time! No pleasing me, is there?

I'm having some macaroni cheese thing tomorrow that has the double whammy of pancetta AND dolcelatte cheese. I may even have a glass of wine just to complete the holy trinity of naughtiness. Yum!

Medee · 25/02/2011 09:47

What?s wrong with pancetta? Besides, these things are all Ok if they are cooked anyway. I have not died from raw brownie dough ingestion. I may overdose later on the cooked brownies though. Also, I have brought cakes into the office for my LAST DAY! Hurrah!

OP posts:
LadyGoneGaga · 25/02/2011 09:56

Oooh, Laurie that sounds delish. As does the cookie dough. Can't wait for maternity leave - going to start baking again.

Heating still broken, 3 days in now with no heat or hot water Angry. Heater in car still broken. Now washing machine playing up Angry Angry Angry. Got to get this flipping house on market so we can move somehwere with working appliances. This one appears to have been built on an Indian burial ground or something.

What's that you say, LAST DAY, Meds. How very exciting! Envy Save a brownie for me.

Ariesgirl · 25/02/2011 10:03

Meds is top of the list? Shock How the fuck did that happen? Good luck, m'dear. Sorry about lack of heating GG - I truly sympathise. Last winter when we had a very cold spell and the house was freezing and the car was freezing (same problem), we used to go for a drive in the Land Rover as it was the warmest place we owned. Once after a four hour drive to get to my parent's wrapped in blankets and ski clothes, I had to be restrained from jumping into the fire. I certainly singed my socks. Trufax.

Anyway, sorry, I just wanted to say thanks to the lovely PESHes who liked my FB page. It's a big help. MrA looked at the list of Likes and said "Who are all these women?" in a puzzled manner. So far everyone is a friend rather than a customer, but you have to start somewhere. So MWAH.

Good luck to the impending birthees I have no doubt you will do it neatly and competently and without fuss Grin

LadyGoneGaga · 25/02/2011 10:08

Ah thanks for the sympathy, Rie. It's not too bad as thankfully been less cold this week. Plus we have a gas fire downstairs and a blow heater which we can use to alternately heat the bedrooms before bed. But certainly pissed off with lack of hot water. I'm showering at work, MrG at the gym and skanky MiniG has not had a wash all week!

laurielou · 25/02/2011 10:13

I read somewhere (& totally ignored it) that pancetta is a no-no. But honestly, we'd die of starvation if we avoided absolutely everything we should.

Last day in the office - amaze! It all seems to be happening very quickly in these parts lately. How are you feeling Meds? Ready to leave? I hope so - not much choice now Grin

rocketleaf · 25/02/2011 10:32

Enjoy your last day meds What do you mean they were for your co workers? More to the point enjoy your first day on ML proper on Monday.

Sorry for general appliance failure lady lets hope that the coming in threes cliche is true this time and nothing else breaks! I bet minigee is loving being skanky :o

I can't wait to get home. Love my dad but just want my own bed and my fella now Oh well, 2 more sleeps.

rie your page looks great and I will be sure to point any F&F who are heading to cornwall in its direction. I want to see porpoises plz.

Muser · 25/02/2011 10:35

hooray for last day Meds!

LadyGoneGaga · 25/02/2011 10:37

Could be a way of bolstering dwindling maternity pay....here One for the vegans too Hmm

Rocket you are a lovely daughter, not long now.

Ivegotmrbitey · 25/02/2011 10:40

Have a lovely last day in the office meds try not to dance for joy - it depresses your co-workers Wink Thank you for the gift ideas too, I am also the auntie who buys educational things. Am probably the only person buying the chemistry sets in my nearest toys r us!

Scorperina I nearly choked on my sixth rich tea biscuit this moring reading about the poo twins! How wonderfully crazy! Although perhaps not for the people finding it... I worked in a library a long time ago and we had a lady who brought in bottles of sick and left them lined up on the windowsill in the toilet. They were very neatly arranged but this was no compensation!

I have had my triple test results and they are very low according to the midwife at 1 in 1370. That doesn't sound very low to me as a semi statistician but the cut off is 1 in 150 which puts it in a bit of perspective.

All of the food discussed above sounds fabulous and if I open my mouth really wide and you throw extra hard I am bound to get some if it!

Ivegotmrbitey · 25/02/2011 10:42

Oh and sorry for the curse upon all your applicance gaga you poor thing. Can you wear a cat as a scarf? I have always wanted to do this but seem to bring out the bitey scratchiness in cats when ever I try.

LadyGoneGaga · 25/02/2011 10:47

I think it sounds very reassuring, Bitey as a quantitative researcher. Is 0.07% chance of anything being bad. You'll be fine. Cat used to sit on my shoulder as kitten, I miss her doing that.

Ivegotmrbitey · 25/02/2011 10:57

Ooh Lady that's what I do! My first thought was that 0.07% was too high! I need to cop a hold of myself don't I? Was about to spend some time with my nose in a stats book but feel reassured by the words of someone distinctly less menkul! and clearly better at maths

Thanks heavens it's Friday! I am dying to go home and take up position on the sofa!

laurielou · 25/02/2011 11:00

LadyG what a general appliance nightmare for you. Hope they all get mended soon. Macaroni does sound delish, doesn't it? Looked delish on TV & website, now just have to translate it to RL.

Rocket I'm sure you do love your dad, but nothing quite like your own bed & your own fella.

Bitey Glad you finally got your results, just a shame about the preceding pallava. Sound pretty good odds to me Smile

Rie FB was broken in my house last night Sad Or maybe Mr Loz just broke it. I'll have a look at your page soon.

Scorpette · 25/02/2011 11:04

Yay for Medee's last day! These brownies are delish - have you made anything for your co-workers? Wink Have a fab last day, my lovely.

Also yay for Bitey's results. You think they're low but mine were 1 in 370-ish, which, combined with my age (94) and the nuchal scan shiz gave me less than 1% chance. So don't worry!

NOT yay for GG's appliances curse Angry Never rains but it bloody pours, eh? Do you have any fan heaters or similar to keep you all warm whilst waiting for the boiler to be fixed?

Also not yay for my bloody hovercraft-feet. Need to go to Dr's appointment this avo about my deaf ear and heart palpitations/lack of oxygen (it's a laugh a minute round my place) but my trotters are now so comically bloated that I can't fit into any footwear apart from flipflops (not even socks any more). So I'm going to have to waddle up looking bonkers AND getting absolutely frozen. Sad Fuxache.

Scorpette · 25/02/2011 11:07

PS WTF about the vom bottles, Bitey? Was she a conceptual artist or summat?!

rocketleaf · 25/02/2011 11:13

Excuse me but you all seem to have missed that link about BREAST MILK ICECREAM!!!! Selling for £14 a pop. Urggghhhh. Perhaps I should tell my cousin as she said yesterday she has donated 4 litres in less than 6 months, she produces so much little cuzniece just can't drink it all.

I was also made aware of these yesterday, apparently they are a vital baybee item Hmm I just can't comprehend why someone would may £17 snots plus P&P for something you could make for a quid in ten minutes.

Great results there bitey glad they hadn't completely lost them and now you can relax. i am still pissed that no one will tell me mine. :(

rocketleaf · 25/02/2011 11:19

Score, have you got any ski socks? I always think they look a treat with flip flops, especially if they are clashing colours. :o Poor you tho, you really are running the gamut of weird differ symptoms. Is your hearing still borked then? Hope the doc can sort you out. And in the mean time literally put your feet up. lie on the couch with them up the wall if necessary (differs yoga tip).

Ivegotmrbitey · 25/02/2011 11:28

What rocket? Eeeeeuw! My sister went on a cheese making course when pregnant and I was highly suspicious of that! And it says they expect it to be popular with men?????? Confused

Must admit that there is no way I could make that in ten years let alone minutes! Unless you are allowed to use a glue gun?

Sorry to hear about the narrow boat feet scorps, are you putting your legs up the wall whenever practicable? (When you are not sitting serenely on your ball, or lying on your left side, or touching your shoulder blades with the soles of your feet of course.) At least the Dr will see that you are suffering. I wonder if herbal remedies like dandelion leaf tea are safe for differs? Might ask Dr google.

I don't know wtf was going on with those bottles! We put up signs in the toilets giving the numbers of support services for bulimia groups, I don't know if that led to anything though. I find the thought that they were art quite comforting as we used to worry!

Scorpette · 25/02/2011 11:31

No ski socks for me (not a fan). I do have some of those novelty 'glove' socks but they don't fit either.

Am confused by the putting feet up thing as you're not meant to lie on your back. I have been laying propped up with my feet propped up also but it makes zero difference. Sofa is not near a wall, nor can I move it near one, hmmmph. I used to have a supercheap pair of fake Uggs I wore as slippers when I lived in a really old, cold house, so I could dig those out, they might fit. And then I can look pure class. Shame I don't have any sno-wash jeggings and a fake-fur trimmed puffa jacket to complete the look Grin

Am not ignoring the link about breastmilk ice-cream; just trying to pretend it doesn't exist Confused

Why is no-one telling you your results, Rocket? Are they actively withholding them from you or wot? Can you not ring and bollock them? Grrr.
