Thanks for all your lovely messages! So pleased other people are having lovely scans and dopplers too. SO exciting!

Thanks for the tip about the profile activation thing - I think I have done it now so you should be able to see my Poddington Peas!

I too am having fainty-type moments, but not full on fainted yet. I have low BP and am slightly anaemic too so the midwife warned me it might happen. It seems to be worse when I have low blood sugar - particularly in the morning when I get out of bed. I was recommended to start eating proper salt (I use losalt ordinarily and don't have much by way of processed foods so don't get much salt in my average diet) and also drink loads of water. I find it gets really bad if I get at all hot, so I recommend trying to maintain a normal body temp if poss.

OMG MrsStevo that pic is AMAZING!! So strange (in a good way of course!) to see 2 little babies in the same pic!! So glad everything is going so well for you.

I've started taking belly photos now. Took one today (still bumpless!) but planning to take a photo week to week from now as I assume I will start showing in the next few weeks, and it would be great to look back on in a few months :)

MorningsMadness · 17/02/2011 21:47

Fantastic pic Mrs Stevo!

bettyboo83 · 17/02/2011 22:38

Hello everyone, nice to hear of everyone's scans, though sorry for the, err, toilet issues Wink

That scan pic is amazing Mrs Stevo, I can't believe how clear it is. I can't wait for my next scan, my picture just looks like a blob at the moment!

Congratulations Mrs Vidic! I'm currently planning my wedding so shout up if you want to know anything Smile

I went for a lovely Valentines meal on Tuesday (I was working Monday night) then threw it all up the minute I got home Sad ah well, the joys of pregnancy! I thought the sickness had ended but clearly not.

I'm still just feeling fat rather than pregnant. I'm usually a 12-14 but can't really see a bump just flab Sad When does it obviously become a bump when you're my size? I'm 14+4 btw.

Hey ho, I'm off for a Brew TTFN xxx

Firawla · 17/02/2011 22:52

betty i think it depends, im that size but have been showing from about 8 weeks ish? but with my 1st dont think was really showing til about 15 weeks or around then

is anyone going baby show on weekend, i came home today to see i won tickets to it but i dont know whether i can be bothered to go or not, i've been few times before (always seem to end up winning or getting free tickets somehow!) but i think taking kids there and going may be a pain (especially 2 yr, not much there 2 entertain him...) but then in a way its nice to go and look at baby stuff. not that there is much to buy though got everything from the other 2 (unless its a girl, then clothes)

MrsVidic · 18/02/2011 07:15

bettyboo I a was a size 12-14 when preg with dd 1 and showed at 20 weeks, this time I am size 10 and on dc2 so I've had a bump for 2 weeks, yet not had abs ( which are usually visible ) for 10'weeks Sad.

Oh and regarding weddings do you know of any shows in the north?

I went for a run last night and my fitness is def going took me ages! Still was nice to get space and be just me and bump.

Dp and I ordered the engagement ring yesterday. It's gorgeous, I'm having it made special. Platinum with princess cut diamond, I never wear jewelry so it's Ezra special

MrsStevo · 18/02/2011 08:23

firawla - what baby show? I have been keeping an eye out - I think there is one at the NEC in May that I want to go to. Might see a group from the Apprentice there trying to sell me a buggy!

MrsStevo · 18/02/2011 08:24

MrsV - congratulations on you engagement again! How exciting! Your engagement ring sounds beautiful - I love princess cut diamonds the mostest. Good luck with the planning!

Firawla · 18/02/2011 09:14

mrs stevo the earls court one but i think its same as NEC just different venue

RugbyWidow7 · 18/02/2011 09:19

Firawla - I was going to ask the same question! I was thinking about going to the show, but think the tickets are a bit overpriced considering how much you could end up spending anyway, so didn't get them. Think they maybe on sale now though. Has anyone been before and can report back?

I went for work years ago, but don't recall any of the important info as I was too unknowledgable about all baby-stuff at the time, to take anything in.

bettyboo83 · 18/02/2011 09:40

MrsV I went to the national wedding show at the birmingham NEC around november time. It was good and we went on the thursday (the first day) so it wasn't too busy. There are loads of stands with wedding dresses that you can try on but I think it would be like a cattle market on Fri/Sat. Plus other stands with invitations, cakes, everything really. We got VIP tickets which weren't much more but you could queue jump, got a goody bag, plus there's a champagne lounge which was lovely when we were ready for a sit-down!

MrsVidic · 18/02/2011 12:45

Cheers mrs s, your beans are lovely. I'm so glad we have twins in the thread! Also fwiw the mums I know who have had twins as first babies haven't struggled! My ring is amazing, Dp was a bit shell shocked when paying for it as bar our home it has been his biggest purchase ever. I told him to think of it as an investment!

Bettyboo I will probably go to a show

I have a mw appt today at 2 so hopefully will get to hear heart beat !

Annie456 · 18/02/2011 17:55

And.......RELAX! scan was fine and lovely to see the baby flipping around (although spent most of it with one hand behind his head and his legs crossed, hammock style!) we bought a couple of scan pics. One of the whole body and the other is a close up on the face - it's amazing so see such detail so soon!

It took ages to get the nuchal reading as he wouldn't lie straight (we're convinced it's a he btw) but eventually did and they were fine too.

Made a celebratory purchase of maternity jeans from Gap - the are the most amazingly comfortable things I've ever worn - and I'm not even showing yet!
Anyway, thats me, thought I would update you! X

bettyboo83 · 18/02/2011 18:06

Congrats Annie! Grin

MrsVidic · 18/02/2011 18:50

Congrats Annie! It is amazing to thing he is inside you now! It makes it feel so real.

Well I had my Mw appt today and after listening to heart beat I don't have to see her again till 28 weeks! I feel a little abandoned!

Firawla · 18/02/2011 19:04

rugby i do think its quite nice, lots of stalls to look @ for shopping in the same place and sometimes different things or special offers, so i think its worth going but especially if you get free tickets, i have paid once before though i thnk and was worth it cos i needed to go look at buggies etc. you can get some freebies when you're there but its not thatttt much
im thinking probably we will end up not going n will just pass the tickets on cos wont be relaxing taking toddlers, but otherwise would have just gone. think ill just make a day of shopping after we find out the gender instead, like maybe go to westfield or something. if you're near me you can have the tickets if you wanted to come and get them, am in holloway

Firawla · 18/02/2011 19:05

annie glad to hear your scan went well, i will have to go gap and look i am still desperately in need of getting maternity clothes and not bought them yet

Annie456 · 18/02/2011 19:11

They have a sale on so all their maternity jeans are £30 - they're great quality and have all the same styles as their regular jeans, I would recommend them! X (I'll always be a gap kid!)

littlemisslozza · 18/02/2011 20:07

MrsVidic I felt like that second time round too! Went weeks and weeks without seeing anyone (although everything was fine so no need really...) and I think I only saw the midwife about 5 times in total!

KLou111 · 18/02/2011 20:51

Happy weekend all, hope it's a good one!!
Roll on Thursday for 16 week AN appointment so we can hear baby's heart beat :)

Glad your scan went well Annie.

LifeOfKate · 18/02/2011 20:51

About the amount of appointments, it does seem like a lot less in the second pregnancy! Have worked out that after my next appt on March 7th, I'll only see my midwife again once at the 28 week appt as I get moved to consultant care from 34 week appt!
