Good luck, Muse and CK! Obviously am saying this through gritted teeth as there is no sign at all that Berwhale wants to move and s/he is just getting bigger and bigger and...

Hmmm, it's all about me, don't you know? As I'm obviously in a horrible mood, will spend the rest of the day lurking for updates. I'm cheering you guys on - hope everything goes beautifully.

laurielou · 15/02/2011 09:44

Aries I actually saw 3 different ladies. They were all aware of ferility shiz & I told them that was the aim of my going, but they were really just regular reflexologists.

Casserole · 15/02/2011 10:02

Just stopping by to wish good luck to Musealot and Cluckalot - what an exciting deli day!

Muser · 15/02/2011 10:19

No laying here yet. Have been having contractions since about 1am. Quite close together but not strong enough according to birth centre when I phoned. This bit could go on for ages. I bloody love my TENS machine.

rocketleaf · 15/02/2011 10:26

Picked the wrong day for a lie in!!! Loads of luck to muse and clucky wonder if weight finally get those ESHtwinz!!!!!!1!1!! here's to easy peasy lemon sneezy lays for you both.

loz glad the MW gave you the all clear and your random decorating urge was just a one off. I am not sure I wouldn't be the same at that early in the morning, diffed or not. Had to laugh at your 'let me eat cake' story and shall hence forth think of you as laurieantoinette mr loz sounds just like mr leaf when it comes to woo.

drom sorry to hear Berwhale is still feeling far too comfy in there.

BarbiesBeaver · 15/02/2011 10:27

Good luck Kate and Muse, hope you get to meet your babies soon.

Ariesgirl · 15/02/2011 10:30

I can't believe you're in actual labour Muse! Where has the last year gone?

Scorpette · 15/02/2011 10:31

Thanks for updating us, Muse (my fingernails couldn't take much more!). I hope you've managed to get some sleep to build you up for the main event :) Sounds like it's going pretty textbook so far, so keep dreaming of that lovely birthing pool and seeing Bob verh soon, huzzah! Will be thinking of you and sending you love and easy, sneezy, squeezy vibes all day xx

PS Same goes for you too, Kate :)

Scorpette · 15/02/2011 10:36

PPS Sure we can't tempt Berwhale in making it a hat-trick, Drom? Wink

PPPS TYF is also a h8r of Teh Woo (being more Richard Dawkins than Richard Dawkins) but I have told him I am doing hypno-birthing and he's going along with it and that's that (then I fixed him with my patented Scorpio Death Stare). Actually, I told him that if I didn't do something like that to help keep me calm there was more likelihood of him having to talk to nurses and docs, etc., on my behalf, buahaha. Think he'd agree to sacrifice chickens in the birthing room rather than that Grin

laurielou · 15/02/2011 10:46

Rocket sadly my fall isn't a one off, I am a clumsy twat & constantly fall. In my family if someone does something daft its known as "Doing a Laurie". I even once fell over someone's garden wall whilst walking the dog. I was wearing flat trainers & the pavement was flat Blush. I shall prolly make an arse of myself at least another 3 times before Bug arrives.

Muse you sound incredibly calm. Kate has gone all silent. Is she streaking ahead of you? How on earth can I be expected to work today?

Cass lovely to see you back around here.

Grin ahhhh, what a fab day so far.......

Ivegotmrbitey · 15/02/2011 10:47

Good lord! Concentrate on work for a couple of days and everyone starts laying!

Good luck today clucky and muse!

Far too exciting to do any work!

Ivegotmrbitey · 15/02/2011 10:48

Should we get John McCurrick to commentate or would that be far too unpleasant?

rocketleaf · 15/02/2011 11:01

rocketleaf · 15/02/2011 11:02

Gah forgot than mid word * don't work.

owlbooty · 15/02/2011 11:16

OMG so exciting!!!!1111!!22211!!!!

Hope Clucks is okay and that Muse you get the pool when you go in. Is bloody lucky you went in the other day & got the go ahead, isn't it?

Going off on a slight tangent; can I just say that mint Gaviscon liquid and maternity tights are my two favourite things in the world right now.

ginhag · 15/02/2011 11:30

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

What an exciting day :)

Am a bit Envy that muse's body appears to know what it is doing, and also that no one accused her of pissing herself. But SO excited also Grin

And GO clucks!!!! you have been v chilled and patient, you deserve the easy sneeze fo'sho.

I am sitting in bed with sleepy little midge. All went ok,was glad to have own music for cs this time as it really calmed me down. All happened v fast, was def better than last time.

Struggling a bit with recovery but have good support so will be fine. Midge has Tongue tie, is still feeding ok tho so waiting to see how it goes, may still need sorting. Is hard to tell as feeding generally bit ouchy at the beginning as you're both learning.

The loveliness that is extremesitting visited us in hospital and brought with her the most gorgeous monkey that she done made herself...such a great pressie, which has been 'borrowed' by mooch.

Haven't completely caught up with everything as head is a foggy mess. Will keep checking back on the laying race tho!

PerfectDromedary · 15/02/2011 12:14

Gin! Lovely to see you here - and good to know that things are a bit easier this time with the planned c-sec. Big luffs to your new person.

Muse You sound frighteningly calm. Have you been at the drugs already?

CluckyKate · 15/02/2011 12:26

Is more of a hare & tortoise kind of race (me being the tortoise). Nothing much going on here apart from a bit of bloody vag snot - Muse is so far ahead I'm not sure I have any chance of catching up [grump] Wink

Am also Envy that your bod is going like text book Muse .....hope the rest of the lay goes to plan my lovely.

Have also woken with an inexplicable need to clean my house....seems the nesting thing has finally kicked in.

Thank-you all for your lovely thoughts & messages - you lot rock Grin

laurielou · 15/02/2011 12:31

Gin Fab to see you here, you sound great! Am so glad it was a better experience for you than last time. The image of "sleepy little midge" has just made me melt into a pool of gunge. Gorgeous!

I'm going to be the worst patient ever. I'm so, so impatient for news of Muse & Kate. I know it can't exactly be rushed, & baybee will arrive when good & ready. But does it really have to take so long?

laurielou · 15/02/2011 12:33

Oh Kate sorry things aren't speeding along as much as you hoped. But at least your house will be spotless by the time MiniInNoRushCluck arrives.

HighPriestessBoo · 15/02/2011 12:41

Oh this is a lovely fred today. How lovely to hear from Gin and the cuteymidge.

And Muse is a-laying and sounding very chilled. Doesn't sound like you will be too far behind though Kate, hope it all kicks on now your house is tidy :)

Hoping that both your births will be fantastic. Labour is so amazing.

Medee I will share my transition phrase but no-one is to larf at me. It was Blush 'I am a Goddess and I CAN do this'. We all had to write our own we had to practise saying it every week (if you didn't mind telling everyone else).

rocketleaf · 15/02/2011 12:44

oh ginbags lovely to hear from you! hope midge keeps feeding fine and doesn't need any sorting. Glad things went a bit more smoothly this time round, you sound very content.

clucks sorry things are going so slooooooooow, it looked like this was finally it for you! Hope the scrubbing speeds things up.

I have been really naughty today and stayed in bed all morning but just had some brilliant news, sort of topical to here but can't go into it. Bt it has made today even more exciting :D I am going to go and have a swim to celebrate (and make up for yesterdays yoga fail)

Good luck to our imminent layers.

rocketleaf · 15/02/2011 12:45

boo i might steal that but sub DHB for Goddess Wink

Medee · 15/02/2011 13:32

Gin fantastic to see you here, congratulations!

I really hope Kate and Muse get the births they have been planning ? certainly sounds like it is all going to plan. Definitely going to get me one of those TENS machines!

I am now though a bit concerned that all these layings mean I am now second on the list!

Thanks for sharing, Boo

HighPriestessBoo · 15/02/2011 13:36

Goddesses are DHBs. C'est la meme chose/ Artemis, Isis and Diana being my particular faves. :)

I'd just like also to voice the opinion that shouting and being emotional are also a way of being DHB. We all have different ways of reacting to pain. And for some women, giving that pain a voice can be helpful. The only thing I hated about last night's OBEM is when they wouldn't let that woman make noises. I think that whatever comes naturally is best. So if it's calmly focussing or shouting like banshee - if it feels right then that izz what needs to be done. It's not a competition, and there isn't a right way to do it.

Am curious about Rocket's brilliant news. You tease Wink
