PS While supposedly writing my lecture earlier I got distracted looking at nursery stickers. Saw these and thought of the owlet

LadyGoneGaga · 09/02/2011 17:08

I had a wedding 10 days before I had miniG, Bitey. Have a look at Isabella oliver stuff. look on website first but you will then find loads on Ebay. And it sells really well afterwards. With hindsight I looked like a ginormous pink sausage in a hat but I think at 9 months pregnant that is a given. Also due to my giant fat feet I could only wear flip flops Blush

I think Topshop are well stingy with sizing. I'd gained about a stone before I conceived anyway (due to the previous miscarriage and comfort eating) and another stone this pregnancy. So now looking 12 stone in the eye which is not a comfortable place to be when I was a skinny size 10 and running a marathon this time last year! I have back fat and look like a rectangle. And I know I will put on at least another 2-3 stone as this is how my body does being pregnant.

But I am very grateful for having my baybee growing safe and well so will quit whining now.

In exciting news we have accepted an offer on MrG's house. So now we only need to complete that and then sell mine and then hopefully find a nice big and within budget house to buy before sprogging - no pressure! Grin

I got a nice dress from JoJoMamanBebe for the wedding I went to. Isabella Oliver stuff is gorgeous.

Today I baked. Someone needs to come and take these chelsea buns away before I eat them all. They are massive and sooooo good. And they are making Bob dance like you wouldn't believe.

Muser · 09/02/2011 17:28

Missed the bit about MrG's house, fantastic news Gaga.

Scorpette · 09/02/2011 18:05

Eeeep, Drom, hope their Big Baby estimates are wrong. Is the size issue why your local MU can't/won't accept you?

Had my first measuring done at my MW app. yesterday - baybee is measuring 27 wks, but am only 26 wks today! She says this means one of 3 things: 1) He'll be a whopper. 2) He'll be slightly premature (which would fit with my genetic early birf legacy) or 3) He'll just be normal size around the due date and it's 'one of those things'. So clear as mud then.

LOVE that top, Booty, bloody fabulous. Topshop always fit me perfectly (and I've always found it more generous than other shops, go figure) but all my weight shifted onto my hips and thighs at @8wks and it isn't so great for me now. Actually, nothing's so great for me now because I just don't know how to dress for a completely different body shape plus bump (I have broad shoulders, so am not technically now pear-shaped) Confused Also, I look like a tranny Humpty-Dumpty, which doesn't help. Am mainly wearing trendy smocks... if that's not a contradiction in terms. Am not a big trouser wearer. Is it wrong that a small part of my determination to BF is down to its legendary slimming properties? Wink

Excellent news about Mr G's house :) Sounds like things are moving in the right direction.

Medee · 09/02/2011 18:51

I'm 33-34cm at 35 weeks; don't think it makes that much difference at that level.

I met the local MN ladies this afternoon - had a long cuddle with one of them, and even fed her her bottle.

Medee · 09/02/2011 18:52

bah, not with one of the ladies, with one of the babies!

HighPriestessBoo · 09/02/2011 18:53

Oooh I had a gorgeous IO dress for my sisters wedding. And yes, I sold it for about £20 less than I bought it for so all good :o

Great news about house LadyG sounds like all is good in your world.

I have got loads of nice maternity clothes in a box under the bed which I'm dying to get out again and wear. But I'm getting all confused with the ovulation prediction piss strips Rockard gave me. Can anyone enlighten me?

HighPriestessBoo · 09/02/2011 18:54

Fed her a bottle of gin you mean Medee ? :o

Medee · 09/02/2011 18:57

looks like I have been at the gin myself. Ah, gin, how I miss thee...

I used CBFM, Boo, so not sure how the ovulation strips work.

LadyGoneGaga · 09/02/2011 19:19

What iz confusing you, Boo? I used them obsessively. The test line has to be at least as dark as control normally. Ask away.

OP posts:
HighPriestessBoo · 09/02/2011 19:44

Ok. So you pick a day - and then that's your control line with which you compare the subsequent days results - is that correct?

HighPriestessBoo · 09/02/2011 19:57

I've just found the instructions. Blush. I get it now.

Ivegotmrbitey · 09/02/2011 21:16

Fab news about the house lala!

Any of those cheese buns left muser?

I have just come back from differ yoga, was lovely! Run by a doula who tends to err on the side of woo but very nice, was good for bump bonding! Wouldn't recommend eating felafals (sp?) before hand though Blush

rocketleaf · 09/02/2011 22:07

Mmm chelsea buns. Are they easy to make? might have a go. Although am planning on making a lemon drizzle cake tomorrow as it went down so well ay book club I only got one piece. This one will be ALL MINE.

Great new about MrGs house gaga one step closer to lovely dream home. :o

I went to differs yoga too, made me feel much better. I think the fresh air did me good too. I think I need to make myself go out for a quick walk every day I am WFH even if the weather is a bit drab.

boo glad you have figured the piss sticks out. hope the help!

I don't really get all this measuring business, seems to be a bit of a nonsense anyway so why do they bother? Hmm

Muser · 09/02/2011 22:20

They were easy rocket, if I'd read the recipe properly they would have worked a lot better than they did. Quite time consuming because you have to let the dough rise for an hour, but not hard.

And so tasty.

rocketleaf · 09/02/2011 22:41

I have copied the recipe from the blog you posted. Going to have a crack next week I think. (i want one NOW tho :o)

ginhag · 09/02/2011 23:04

drom am not gonna repeat myself cos I done texted you but hope you getting your head round all the changes my lovely.

Just popped in to request some squeezy sneezy vibes. Have just got home from 3rd hospital visit, and finally they believe I haven't just been pissing myself constantly. My waters have gone.

Have until fri am to go into labour, otherwise will be induced or elcs (leaning towards elcs after last time, ringing them tomorrow with decision.)

Bit crampy, slight backache, mild contractions but in the immortal words of cilla, 'norralot.'

So, ummm and erk and wibble. Whatever happens I'm gonna get me a baybee by the end of the week.

Midwife advised a large Wine so who am I to argue???

ginhag · 09/02/2011 23:07

Ps meds I pretended your earlier post was about me. Made me feel special Grin

And scorps I've measured 2 weeks over throughout. Is no biggie. It's not that accurate I don't think :)

ginhag · 09/02/2011 23:31

You're all in bed, aren't you, you fuckers :)

Well, when anyone drops in, I need vibes pleeease!

HighPriestessBoo · 09/02/2011 23:38

oh hello gin I'm still here (just). Well thank fuck someone finally decided to listen to you. Get that wine down you lady. Will send cervix opening vibes to you in my dreams :o

S'excitin'

ginhag · 09/02/2011 23:40

Thanks lovelyboo could do with your woo! X

HighPriestessBoo · 09/02/2011 23:45

Wine and then bed for you too. Get thee relaxed and then rested. xxx

Muser · 09/02/2011 23:46

I'm here! Pacing for you gin. Well, actually bouncing on my ball, but that is differs pacing. Hope things get moving for you. You were right about the queue jumping! I want some of that.

ginhag · 09/02/2011 23:53

Cheers muse. Is all freaky weird.

boo I am finishing my wine and going to bed. Think I might be able to sleep thru some of the cramping, should at least try...
