Tolalola That's really great, I hope it goes on all the way to the end. I have had definite weeks of glowingness and energy, but never quite in a row.

But all moaning aside, I am absolutely loving being pregnant, frizzy hair and funny ligaments included; particularly now I get to feel her so much of the time.

BarbieLovesKen · 27/02/2011 15:24

Jer definately not having the 2nd trimester glow where either, and given that Im entering the 3rd trimester in about a week and a half, dont hold much hope for it happening either!!!. Cannot wait to have this little bundle all snuggled up in my arms!!!!

Tolalola · 27/02/2011 15:48

Yes, Jer the moving around thing is great, isn't it? I'd forgotten how weird it feels - like having a baby kangaroo living inside you!

Although, so far, this one hasn't started getting hiccoughs all the time like DS did before he was born.

Clarkiee · 27/02/2011 16:24

I definately HAD the bloomin' phase but this weekend I've hardly done anything and I'm knackered. Just had an hour nap on the couch. Was woken up by an ice-cream van- told DH to buy me one, he thought I was joking, (but I wasn't Wink ).

No idea how I am going to get up in the morning. Got an annoying week back at school Tuesday is World Maths Day (with the whole day taken up by 'fun' maths things). And Wendesday, Thursday, Friday is Bloody book week (with a fancy dress day Friday Shock anyone have an 'enormous turnip' outfit I could borrow?!?). Plus two parents evenings because I can't fit them both into one cause I've got my first antenatal on Thursday [argh frazzled smiley].

On a positive not went to aquanatal today- love it Grin

NurseSunshine · 27/02/2011 16:53

Oooh antenatal, how exciting. Mine don't start till april.

I love love love feeling her move around! Especially now you can see my belly moving when she kicks! Like a giant jiggly blacmange!

Clarkiee · 27/02/2011 18:03

Mine were originally booked for April but moved them forward just incase they came early (with this being my first pregnancy didn't want to miss the classes).

Love feeling movement too. After my scan I lay on the bed with all the goo still over my bump and it was moving all over the place. My bump was eye height to DH so he was finding it all very freaky (in a good way Grin)

NurseSunshine · 27/02/2011 18:14

must be crazy with twins! Like the spin cycle on a washing machine! Grin

KaraStarbuckThrace · 27/02/2011 18:54

LOL @ NurseSunshine!

knackered76 · 27/02/2011 19:51

I was blooming for a couple of weeks but am now past that stage. Today I seem to have entered a grumpy old cow stage with dh where I try and kill him with withering looks behind his back and try my hardest not to make snide comments in front of the children about his lack of ability to do things!

Oh well, on the plus side only 600 words of this assignment to go . . . which as you can tell I'm really doing well at concentrating on Blush! Hope the rest of you studying are holding up okay!

Clarkiee Ah yes, another reason I don't miss teaching! My dd is going to be an oopma loompa with green hair and an orange face. She's very excited about it (sure the novelty will wear off once she's in year6 though!).

knackered76 · 27/02/2011 19:56

Just had to put my seat down a bit to start writing as my bump was in the way. Now hidden under the table and I can reach my paper Grin.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 27/02/2011 20:19

Has anyone else woken up in the middle of the night and thought I really really want to eat .....? Last night as I lay in bed wondering why the heck I was awake at 4am I couldn't help thinking a tub of hummous would go down a treat. Didn't have any though (been getting through a tub a day most days). Have made sure I have several tubs in the fridge for tonight Grin. I never had this midnight craving thing with DS so it's all a bit strange.

NurseSunshine · 27/02/2011 20:40

More like "I really really want to pee" ChocBiscuits!

I haven't really had any cravings, other than, y'know, food in general Blush

Glad your assignment's coming along Knackered. I've got one down, 3 to go. And a group presentation. blaaagh

Sarahmumtobe · 27/02/2011 20:56

Congratulations mummy that's lovely news.
Warning-a me me me moan.
I'm definitely not blooming now, I'm with the no energy brigade, and Saturday felt really depressed. DH took me out for dinner to cheer me up and I burst out crying in the restaurant-very embarrassing!

On the brighter side we had an ikea/mothercare trip to look at nursery stuff which was fun-only bought a couple of mats from ikea but was useful for research.

Am thinking of getting a crib for while he is in our bedroom and then a cotbed for when he goes in another room. Are cotbeds any good or do they outgrow them too quickly? Think will have to get everything second hand as all so expensive and buy new mattresses.

Sorry you're feeling so down Sarah :( I've been crying for no apparent reason as well. Being tired just makes everything seem worse doesn't it (((hugs)))

motherofsnortpigs · 27/02/2011 21:25

evening folks. I was going write a big long post today, but I am on my phone because DS has broken DH's computer and DH needs to apply for a job. I am not sure he is taking it entirely seriously - it is with Network Rail so he has mentioned his membership of the Great Western Society (which we joined so we can take everyone to the Thomas the Tank Engine days at Didcot Railway centre...) So, in summary, I was going to say: mn2 we love a good wedding here too. Congratulations! Welcome back nurse No way is jasmine51 as old as she claims. Our DC's all had dedication services with Godparents. They are a biennial event in our household :) I know already that this one's dedication will be summer 2012. And no, we haven't discussed GP's yet. All the discussion of studying brings back fond memories. This baby is really missing out on being read obscure pieces of literature as I try to get an increasingly addled brain around something more taxing than That's Not My Mermaid. nomore I often get up in the night to eat. I favour mini shredded wheat. O and I am definitely in the blooming camp, happy hormones all over the place, which is just as well considering... Hmm. Glad I didn't go for the long version now.

motherofsnortpigs · 27/02/2011 21:40

o I've x-posted with about 10 people. sarah crying in public is a speciality of mine. Did I mention the pointless argument I had in the pub with DH on NYE? On the cotbed front, I would say they are a good buy if you are thinking of using a toddler bed at some point, but they can go in a proper bed after a cot, or sleep on the cot mattress on the floor. Also, if you have a second baby it will want the cot so do you buy a second cotbed? We happen to have one as we needed a second cot and it was given to us. DD2 used it until she was 3.5 but only moved because we got bunk beds for the DD's. O I think I'm waffling now :) Night night.

jasmine51 · 27/02/2011 21:52

mother thankyou for your kind comment...today I have walked 4 miles in ankle deep mud and pouring rain with an 8 year old and a 2 year old (!) trying to find geocaches (treasure) in deepest Sussex. I've been jumped on all afternoon by the little one, given endless 'airplane' rides and fallen over twice.....I look every one of my 43 years today!

NurseSunshine · 27/02/2011 22:12

Oh wow what a day Jasmine! You are a braver woman than me!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 28/02/2011 07:30

That sounds found to energetic Jasmine!
I walked around Bluewater the other week and was having to sit down every 10 mins because my stomach muscles ached Blush

Sarah - crying is normal, hormones still in flux. Like Knackered, it turns me into a grumpy old cow Grin
I didn't bother with a cotbed - DH and I just bought a Divan bed, and put a guard rail up. DS was 18mo when we got it. We got rid of the guard rail a year later.

Motherofsnortpigs - good luck with your DH's job application!

NurseSunshine - with you on the food craving Grin

Sometimes I don't finish work until 11:30pm, and then raid the fridge before going up to bed. But not too often, I have woken up a few times feeling hungry but mostly it is needing to pee!

jasmine51 · 28/02/2011 08:29

nomore ...no, I never have midnight food raids...although how those cracker crumbs got in the bed last night is a mystery to me...and I'm not sure who put the biscuit on the bedside table...and then there's the bit of cheese out in the kitchen...nope, wasnt me.....was it?

clarkiee - just curious, when your twins move, can you tell there are two? Do they both move at the same time and set each other off or can you tell if just one of them is awake? Do they have little fights in there?

mother good luck with your DH job application...although Im not quite sure either that they will be impressed by his dedication to Thomas lol! My DH (in Iraq) sent me an email this morning saying he's had a huge row with his company and wants to come home...flippin fantastic. Not that I dont want to see him or anything but him in a bad mood is not something to look forward to...and we need the money more than ever now. Will have to drown my sorrows in a mocha down the caff later I think!

Have a good day all x

sasamaxx · 28/02/2011 08:48

Sarah hope you're feeling a bit better now.

I HAD to make myself a sandwich last night at 10pm - with scrambled egg, raw chillies and cheese Grin

jasmine51 · 28/02/2011 09:14

sas OMG - what kind of dreams did that lot give you?!!!

sasamaxx · 28/02/2011 09:26

Wierd ones about my primary school class having a reuion at glastonbury where we stayed in a caravan, and I forgot my contact lenses lol
