MrsWajs · 18/02/2011 00:56

Ooooh 2 new BFPs??!! Yay, congrats crazyalien :)

aly323 · 18/02/2011 02:14

I can't do bolds because I'm typing one-handed, but I wanted to say congrats to Toria and CrazyAlien on their BFPs! Also to Cherry on her girl!

MrsW, did you use the same scale? Any chance it was off? Different clothes, different time of day? Fluids can make a big difference (I appeared to lose a good deal of weight when I was dehydrated). I also varied up and down a little for no good reason. I wouldn't worry if I were you, but that's so much easier said than done...

Slowshow- I can't believe that you had to give them all the info again. Really inspires confidence...

Also, completely agree with Bunny's advice on what to take in your hospital bag. Especially regarding make-up. The morning after I had Kai, I took a shower and put on make-up. I felt 100% better dealing with everyone after this. I also was very happy with the robe I brought. It was a bed jacket type, and it was short enough not to get tangled around my legs while in bed, I could just open it and feed the baby, and it looked better than the hospital gown for pics.

I have to say that, as ready as I was to not be pregnant anymore, I now totally miss my bump. Especially when I check in here. I never thought that would be the case.

We went to Kai's check-up yesterday and he is now doing amazingly well- he's gaining like a star. Turns out that things can end up fine despite a scary, rocky start to breastfeeding. I've now found out that many, many people I know had to pump or supplement at some point at the start of breastfeeding, and all their babies ended up fine. The bottles I gave Kai did not result in nipple confusion or breast rejection. Now that my hormones have settled, I realize that it wasn't the huge deal I felt it was at the time. I just thought I would let you guys know in case anyone else has to deal with this later. I also thought I would mention that Lansinoh makes for an excellent lip balm!

I finally posted a couple pics of Kai on my profile. I only posted 2, but I've taken hundreds. I just can't get enough of my little guy.

cherrycobbler · 18/02/2011 16:47

congrats crazyalien and welcome!!

loving all top tips at the moment aly, thanks! so pleased kai is doing so well - aaahhh just had a sneak peek at your pics and he is GORGEOUS.

Happy weekends all - we are planning a fairly chilled one but have to get through a couple more hours work still... x

MrsWajs · 19/02/2011 00:52

Aww aly baby Kai is soo cute!! He even looks a little bit like himself from your scan picture - bizarre!!

I use the same scales everytime Aly for precisely that reason! I'm on nightshift just now so weighed myself at night but that is technically about midmorning for me while I'm in back to front mode!! I've decided not to stress about it, baby is still moving around fine and bump seems to be growing despite apparent weight loss! As someone pointed out on my april thread it could be due to the fact I haven't increased my dietary intake for the 3rd trimester (i.e an extra 300kcals) I always thought I kind of overate so didn't want to eat more but my body is prehaps used to the amount I consume and therfore still needs a little bit extra?! Or maybe I'm kidding myself so I have an excuse for another cake!! Either way I'll re-check it again next week and if I'm down more will let the MW know at my 32 week appt but otherwise I'm happy enough - at least it's less to lose after the big event!! [vain emoticon]

Hope everyone else is well. DP is starting our nursery tomorrow :) soo glad it's finally getting done and I can get everything in place. At the moment I have little piles of baby stuff all over the house! Started washing babygros and sheets the other day then realised I have no where to put them! Luckily I get the easy job of taking DSS swimming so that we're out of the way!!

Have a good weekend ladies and crazyalien and toria hope the news is sinking in for you two! :)

highheelsandequations · 20/02/2011 11:46

cherry congrats on the girl.

slow I had lots of strange pains too, some felt like period pains, sometimes aching and sometime shooting pains. Think it was all the stretching and moving about. Still getting some pains now and it's terribly hard not to panic every time. Sorry you've had to be chasing the NHS, I had to phone a few times and make a nuisance of myself too although it was a good job I did as we got the appointment letter for the scan the day before! Although it was during all the snow so the post was a bit delayed. Do you have a date for your scan yet? I've been nervous before every scan we've had so far and even now I can feel pip moving about I'm terrified about the scan on Friday!

alien welcome and congrats :) how are you getting on?

aly Kai is gorgeous, lovely pictures. Glad he is doing so well now.

MrsW glad you're getting your nursery done, I'm beginning to wonder if we're going to end up sticking pip in a cupboard when he/she gets here! Everything in the house seems to be taking so long to get done. No advice about the weight loss, but as long as LOs okay I'd say don't worry about it.

crazyb looking back it seems to be flying, and when I start panicking about being ready in time, but the days still seem to be going in slow motion. I think it's dragging less now I'm feeling movement and hopefully once we've had the scan next week and (fingers crossed) seen everything is okay I'll be able to relax even more and time will pass normally!

Well I'm still not feeling pip every day but loving feeling the squirming about and have had quite a few definite kicks as well as wriggles. Some have made me jump and DP even managed to feel a couple through my tummy yesterday :)

Had a lovely few days with my parents up visiting, althoug very Envy of the lovely Wine they got with all our nice meals. Also had to put up with many comments about how big I am and how my mum didn't really look pregnant at all when she was having me. Still, I'm enjoying having the bump, it reminds me that pip is actually in there. Had a day at a spa with my mum and very nice to just lie about, read a book and be pampered. Left me very tempted to take my book up to the pool this afternoon and forget all the stuff I'm supposed to get done before work tomorrow. Also found a gorgeous dress for a ball we're going to in April and although it's really far too expensive decided I'd have saved almost that much by not drinking and so have ordered it. It's this one if you're interested.

Hope everyone's well and having a lovely weekend. Think i might have a Brew and a Biscuit or two and try to ignore the pile of washing needing done :o

highheelsandequations · 20/02/2011 11:54

Oh and meant to say, we're not going to find out the sex on Friday, I want a surprise! Although I've been a bit annoyed by the fact that there is very little unisex stuff about to buy. Haven't bought anything yet but we have started looking at things and clothes especially ars so obviously aimed at boys or girls.

ToriaPumpkinHead · 20/02/2011 23:18

Hello ladies, after taking my fourth test (caved and bought a CBD on the way home tonight, just wanted to see it in words!) I have finally accepted I am nearly five weeks up the duff! Very scary biscuits Smile

Highheels I can't believe how far along you are! Or you MrsWajs, you were my first Frolickers BFP when I joined Grin

I do have a question (yes already) I'm spending a couple of days with my cousin and am struggling to find a way of telling her I'm not drinking that wont make it obvious why (she knows we were TTC after finding my folic acid in the tea cupboard). OH keeps saying anti biotics but I have a feeling that's getting a bit cliched and she'll figure it out and question me mercilessly. Especially as she's seen me drink while on ABs before... Any suggestions?

pixiestix · 21/02/2011 10:12

Congratulations Toria! Smile The antibiotics excuse is an oldie but a goody in my experience, but if your cousin is really nosy inquisitive it might be best to fake an alcoholic drink? Make sure you are drinks monitor so that everytime you buy a gin and tonic, or a rum and coke you know it is really just a soft drink. Other than that I used the "I'm on a diet so I'm not drinking, do you know how many calories there is in a glass of wine" tactic. Of course, then you can't have any really yummy food while that person is around! Grin Is she the sort of person you would trust with the secret? Could you just come clean?

pixiestix · 21/02/2011 10:23

Highheels - we had a surprise aswell and ended up with loads of white and beige clothes, but we found that once Tegan was born we actually loved those clothes best. The pale pink stuff she was bought by grandparents looked absolutely awful with her skin tone! Grin She went all yellow looking, and white suited her far more. Mamas and Papas gingerbread range looked particularly cute. Good luck with the scan on Friday!

Aly, OMG, Kai is absolutely lovely!! What a sweet little face he's got. Smile

MrsW - different situation but I lost a bit of weight very quickly in my third trimester - about five pounds in two weeks - because I had diabetes and needed to restrict my sugar intake and DD was completely fine with it. It didnt affect her growth at all. Like you say, it was just less to lose afterwards! Check with your MW but I don't think its anything to worry about

cherrycobbler · 21/02/2011 10:28

welcome toria! the not drinking is tough - I ended up pretending to drink for some things, and then just not drinking and not giving an excuse for others. Could you say, if asked, that you are not drinking as you are trying to get healthy for TTC?

highheels - love that dress you linked to. Alas have no occasions planned in the next couple of months that would warrant a splash out but the dresses on that website are lovely.

crazyb how was the scan on sat? Hope it went well and you saw babybutterfly wriggling around happily :)

crazybutterflylady · 21/02/2011 15:27

Hi hi
just a quick one to say I've put a scan pic on my profile (I think!). Went really well and is a totally amazing experience; would recommend it to all of you! It really felt like I was bonding with her (definitely a girl).
Will pop in tomorrow, manic day
Congrats to Toria and Alien!
xx

luckyseven · 21/02/2011 17:04

hi girls, great to see more bfps - congratulations Toria and alien

I haven't posted in soooooo long and wee Beth is 9 weeks today! We have a pc at home and have been just going online via my i phone and have been avoiding the room with the computer in as it was a bit of a cell in the early days!

All well with us, Beth has her parent's appetite and takes after us both in height as well. I am going to go back and catch up properly as she is asleep in her Baby Bjorn chair, looks like a big pair of y fronts but is amazing!

luckyseven · 21/02/2011 18:24

So Halo today is your last day at work? Hurray! You are so organised with your nursery. Before B came along we had painted the walls white and built new full size wardrobes and a chest of drawers but left the decorating til we knew if baby was a boy or girl. We are thinking of moving her to her not yet built cot(bed) in a couple of weeks time. (Currently i sleep in the spare room with her in her moses basket and me in the single bed, her curtains are up and i had to buy a pink single duvet cover to match and have ordered some wall stickers from Vertbaudet to match her pink gingham nursery stuff. Great to see your bump pictures and the difference, looking back i wish i had dome that more.

Crazybutterflylady you are having a girl, congrats, check out all the butterfly stickers on Vertbaudet! Commiserations on the heartburn, there were times i was even swigging gaviscon whilst stopped at traffic lights. Eventually got ranitidine and it made a massive difference and the old wives tale must be true as B had a full head of hair. Your 4d picture is wow, features are so clear!

Cherry glad you took advice and got checked out for a quieter baby, the same thing happened to me because of the anterior placenta and I just got monitored. I was 33 weeks then and the radio was on in the unit and on the radio came driving home for Christmas on Greg Jame?s 10 minute takeover and it turns out it was a sign as we drove her home for Christmas on 23rd Dec! Are you still debating the buggy situation? I have a quinny but had shopping basket envy when i saw a girl with the i candy at is really roomy. Also thanks for asking after me and spurring me into getting back in touch

Kurlyyou are really doing your research, I have avoided baby books about routines etc as i know i have the kind of personality that would have to follow it to the letter so have avoided them and learning from the bab, friends and other mums at baby massage etctry to learn from the baby. I totally agree with Pixie?s advice about breastfeeding, there are no gard and fast rules and everyone i talk to has a very different experience but ine thing is for sure you will know when they want something! Don?t leave hospital until you are confident about doing it if it works out for you and keep asking the midwives for advice or even just to watch you feed as i found that helped a lot.

Crazydayz congratulations on your twins, i love the idea of twins, instant family!

Highheels delighted you are now getting to enjoy a proper bump after your stressful start and ignore the comments, it continues once the baby is here. I keep getting told that B is thriving which is code for ?she?s a big girl!? Is your 20 week scan this Friday? I also had a surprise and didn?t buy any unisex other than a packet of newborn and 0-3 months white sleepsuits and my sister was nominated to get me nice gender specific sleepsuits. I don?t know how i managed it but we ended up leaving hospital with her in a baby blue sleepsuit with white dots on it, the pink trim was covered up by her cardigan so she looks like a boy in her leaving hospital car seat pic!

mrs w I hope your pins and needles is not Carpal tunnel as it is very annoying, try and sleep with your hand(s) above your head or on a v shaped pillow and keep an eye on any rings you wear and take them off as a precaution. I have only just got my engagement and wedding rings back on and still have carpal tunnel but have to wait 9 months to get nerve tests on the NHS to get an official diagnosis! Don?t stress about the measurements ? sometimes i measured 6 weeks ahead but was all bump and she was born at term +3!

Aly your picture of kai is adorable, i love his blond hair!

Toria congratulations! I had to fake drink on my 30th birthday and managed to get away with it, syou can get alcohol free champagne in Sainsbury?s and in asda you can get alcohol free wine called fre by sutter home or a similar brand, it is disgusting but decanted into a different bottle can be deceptive, also soda and lime can be disguised as g&t if that is your poison!

Ok i noted down some tips whilst going through the thread

100% agree with bunny and aly on the make up for hospital and would add straighteners if you use them, i felt great when the visitors came and i had a bit of make up on and i could not live without the garnier under eye concealer with caffeine ? it is a miracle worker!

Pack a couple of plastic bags, a bin bag to put dirty clothes in at the hospital so you can keep them separate or send home with your dh/dp

I also regret stock piling nappies as i have about 150 Huggies size 2 and they have been leaking so much prefer Pampers. Still working my way through the 19 packets of wipes i accumulated!

Better go she has been hanging out on her jungle playmat for ages whilst I caught up, will not leave it so long next time and good luck to imminent arrivals and fingers crossed for more bfps!

Will try and post a picture of Beth now too ...

highheelsandequations · 21/02/2011 19:37

Welcome Toria, I found the best way to get around not drinking was just to have soft drinks, refill my own glass or get DP to do it at home (drank juice out of a wine glass all night one evening and my friend did not even notice to the extent that when she found out I was pg she commented "but you were drinking the other week!") and try to buy my own when out. When people asked if I wasn't drinking I said usually just said "no" or "I'm really thirsty" or "I'll get one later". Any excuses e.g. antibiotics etc. just sound like excuses.

Waves at everyone else, no time to reply to others just now as DP has my tea ready :)

ToriaPumpkinHead · 21/02/2011 19:41

Hi girls, decided to go with the fake drinking. I brought loads of alcohol free Kopparberg and some normal stuff and am making sure I pour my own drinks while feeding her the alcohol filled ones so she doesn't notice! Daren't come clean as she's very ditzy and prone to speaking first, thinking later so would undoubtedly spill the beans without meaning to and as we haven't even told my parents yet I don't think that'd go down well...

Very hard not to say anything though, we had a conversation over dinner about people sharing birthdays and very nearly said the baby will be due on OH's birthday!

Crazy Just had a look at your pics, how amazing! Grin

Must dash!

pixiestix · 21/02/2011 20:53

Wow, Crazy your picture is incredible! What a darling little face she has. Smile

mumnerves · 22/02/2011 14:32

Just pop-ing in to say congrats crazyalien and toria
Big waves to everyone and hope all's ok x

cherrycobbler · 22/02/2011 16:41

crazy what an amazing photo - so glad it was such a lovely experience too.

hello lucky, what a fab mammoth post! v glad all going well :)

halo hope you enjoy the start of ML - can't believe its come round so fast.

OP posts:
highheelsandequations · 22/02/2011 16:50

Afternoon all,

Toria I can't believe I'm 20 weeks already either, although at the same time getting to 14 weeks (12 didn't seem quite safe enough!) took forever. Hope your fake drinking worked out alright!

Pixie I've seen some lovely white and beige stuff, will check out the range you mentioned, and am not a huge fan of pink and blue for everything. I really like the lovely bright coloured things but so many of them seem to have "boy" or "girl" pictures on them (diggers, dinosaurs, ..) or am I reading too much into the pictures and should I just put pip in a bodysuit with a tractor on it whatever flavour?!?

cherry I wish I had more occassions to wear it to! Will be wanting to stay pregnant just so I can wear my nice dress again. Now I just need to find some nice shoes, I got some sandals from Next, which were lovely but the strap came across just the wrong place on my feet and made them uncomfortable so I had to send them back. I'm thinking sparkly flipflops, probably more comfortable than heels when 6 months pregnant although not as glamorous!

crazyb love the scan picture, it's so detailed and clear, must have been fab to see your little girl moving around in so much detail.

lucky I am ignoring all comments, it's amazing how a different tone of voice can change the same bump comment from something nice to something nasty. I'm probably going to leave most of the buying until after pip arrives like you did. :o at the blue sleepsuit for leaving hospital, apparently my brother wore pink a lot when he was a baby unless he was out in public as my mum didn't want to spend loads on new baby clothes when she already had mine! Yes, 20 week scan this Friday, really looking forward to it and hoping everything looks like it should.

Nothing new here, not enjoying work after the long weekend, it seems to be non-stop and I just can't bring myself to care about it very much. Am having some colleagues round for a poker night on Friday so I really should try and get the house presentable but that seems very unimportant too. All I seem to want to do at the moment is sit and feel pip wriggling and browse maternity and baby catalogues, could do with some of the nesting instinct kicking in to stop us living in a pigsty!

crazybutterflylady · 22/02/2011 18:09

Hi everyone

Lots to catch up on!

lucky lovely to hear from you and glad everything is going well with you and Beth. Thanks for the tips! I have bought lots of nappies, mainly size 2 of the pampers... hopefully I will like them as much as you did. Wipes too; they are always on offer and I'm a sucker for an offer :)

Halo congrats on the start of your ML, woohooo!! Do you have any nice plans for the next few weeks?

toria well done on the drinking pretence. I just became boring from the start of pregnancy and it avoided such problems, hehe!

HH you can always keep the dress for the next pregnancy ;) that's what I keep telling myself when I'm buying maternity clothes anyway!

Had a crazy few days, thought today would be a bit quieter but the bl**dy car broke down again this morning so have had to take a day's holiday and get it sorted. Have to find £500 from somewhere this month :( not happy...we were just at the point we could start doing big shopping for the little one. Hey ho, I guess it's more important we have a car that works.

Thanks for the lovely comments on the scan picture Grin

Can actually see LO kicking me now, it's crazy. It's true what the MWs say about rest though, she doesnt move much at all during the week because I am shattered but today she's been looping the loop because I've been on my backside pretty stationery ringing various garages. It's lovely!

Hope you're all ok, have a good week

haloflo · 23/02/2011 10:15

Morning all! Today is my first day of mat leave.Grin So far I've had breakfast and put the car seat cover on a gentle wash but don't worry that's pretty much all I plan on doing today, except maybe getting dressed in a bit.

My hospital bag is packed but I keep thinking of other things to put in it. Should I take my hairdryer? Seems a luxury but my hair takes hours and hours to dry naturally and I would hate to be there with straggly wet hair. And then straighteners? Not that people will be looking at me... hmm. Might revisit the hospital bag tomorrow...

Firstly huge congrats to toria and crazyalien I have loved this thread throughout my pregnancy and hope you find it just as good.

bunny Thanks for the tips. I've ordered a couple more pairs of black yoga pants. Sounds like they are ideal now (when hardly anything still fits) and post birth. I've packed foundation. I'm not bothered about a full face of makeup but it would be nice to hide the blotches and dark circles. I've packed dried apricots as a snack because I love them, plus orange juice cartons. Two of my 5 a day and they won't go off! Glad William is doing well, he sounds like he is growing up fast.

aly Kai is looking gorgeous, not surprised you can't get enough. I am loving his blonde hair. You miss the bump you say.... I would like a day's rest from carrying my increasingly heavy LO around - I wonder if I'll be saying the same thing in a couple of months.

highheels Loving the kicks that make you jump! Glad you are feeling more regular movement. All the best for Friday. With unisex clothes I've gone for lots of white/cream/yellow but only in newborn & 0-3. When the LO one is here I can buy lots of gender specific stuff then, or graciously accept clothes as gifts.... Btw love that dress, glad you treated yourself.

cherry So glad the growth scan went well and that's so exciting to find out you are having a girl! Glad you got the all clear from the GD test too. Time to get shopping....!

crazy Wow, that picture is amazing and really brings to life that there is a baby in there! Glad your girl is defiantly a girl. I love seeing my bump move on its own! It's a bit freaky but shows how much bigger and stronger they are getting in there. Sorry to hear about the car, I hate spending money on boring things!

mrsw I hope you are reassured on your weight for now. I get pins and needles often too. Sleeping, whilst sat on the sofa, whenever I am too still but I think it's just lack of blood flowing to my hands and feet because the bump takes it all. It's not developed into anything worse, fingers crossed yours won't. I hope your DP is cracking on with the nursery - mine is taking ages & still waiting our order from M&P - grrr.

We are not quite as organised as we sound lucky! I only have 2 packs of nappies and no wipes at all.... I figure I get more when the LO is here. When do you start using wipes btw? After a couple of weeks? or months? It sounds like your little girls room is coming together now. I've got some plastic bags in my bag too now. Good tip!

slowshow That's shocking about your scan referral! Have you a date now? I hope you aren't too worried about the stretching pains, they sound normal to me. Hopefully you will meet a MW soon and can ask away (top tip is to take a list of questions so you don't forget anything when they ask you!)

Oh and also if anyone wants nighties suitable for bfing, I picked up lots of cheap ones like this from peacocks. (Thanks to a recent thread on pregnancy) Maybe not as easy as drop sides but I figured I couldn't go too wrong at £5/£6 a go.

ToriaPumpkinHead · 24/02/2011 10:40

Sorry to hear about the car Crazyb I really resent spending money on our money pit car!

Haloflo I am very envious of you being on maternity leave! Hope you're taking it easy, and FWIW I think if you want your hairdryer you should take it. My hair dries really quickly as there's nothing to it but I know when it was long it drove me mad when it was wet and stragly.

Slowshow have you a date for your scan yet?

Well today was my Drs appt. I've had my flu jab, filled in my form for my free prescriptions and made my booking in appt for three weeks time. Was planning to come home and go back to sleep as I'm exhausted but apparently that's not to be. Instead I'm going to eat something. Anything...

slowshow · 24/02/2011 12:03

Lovely to see crazyalien and Toria!

I was just squeeing over Aly?s photos of Kai ? the fuzzy hair in the first photo is just adorable.

Spa trip sounds amaaaazing highheels. And I think it?s really nice that you aren?t going to find out the sex ? we don?t want to either! Mind you, I already know how hard it is to find unisex clothes in the shops. Strange really, because I think white/cream babygros always look lovely.

How exciting to be on maternity leave haloflo - enjoy your leisure time while you can!

Well, string out the bunting because I have a scan appointment. It?s next Thursday, so 12 weeks exactly. I?m still confused though. Firstly, the letter starts with ?A further appointment has been booked for you? (FURTHER?). I?m hoping this means a booking appointment letter is in the post. It also has a vague sentence about needing to bring a bottle of water with me. So I only need to start filling my bladder once I?ve arrived in the waiting room? How much water will I need to drink? What if my bladder isn?t full enough? Questions, questions...

I think my mum is more relieved than me - she's so desperate for the news to be out, it's been driving her nuts not being able to tell anyone. Having said that, she rang me on Saturday from Tesco to say they had 3 for 2 on baby clothes, and could she please buy some? Grin

I have discovered bump bands are a great thing. I?ve been walking around all week with the top button of my trousers undone, and it helps them stay up as well!

hooray for ML halo, hope you are taking it suitably easy! I'd want to take hairdryer - although someone did tell me that hospitals can be funny about electrical things that plug in. Not sure how this works re: phone chargers though.

double hooray and finally for the scan date slowshow!! I drank quite a bit before the scan as had heard that if your bladder is not full enough then they do the scan internally and I wasn't too keen on that - not fun sitting in the waiting room absolutely busting for the loo though! Can't believe its 12 weeks already for you.

Good luck for the scan tomorrow highheels.

Just polished off entire punnet of strawberries (I know, I know, out of season - but they were yummy) but this has not stopped me from also devouring a caramel square. Poor baby, won't be too much room for it in there at the moment. Also will probably detest sugar given just how I can't get enough of sugary stuff (and only just manage to make myself eat savoury food I normally love) at the moment, and over the past six months.

I am 2 weeks behind you on the ML front Halo and soo can't bloody wait!! Really starting to tire at work now :(
The AWOL 4lbs has returned this week so panic over, if anything it has kept me right on track for weight gain (as opposed to actually being over had I continued at my previous rate!!)
As for the pins and needles - I'm not convinced it's carpal tunnel as I don't seem to be having any associated pain with it but will mention it to the MW on Monday at 32 week appt anyway.
Have also been silently debating the hair straighteners/hairdryer issue! I know from working in a hospital that the reason they are funny about electrical items is mainly a safety issue, if they are old and a bit dodgy they could be a fire hazard etc etc but I would imagine most new-ish appliances should be safe enough, it will all depend if there's a mini-hitler H&S person working on the ward like we have here!!!

Slowshow for my scan I was advised to drink a pint and a half of water about an hour before my appointment. I managed it first time round (was scanned early as dates were wrong) but didn't quite manage the whole lot second time round and they still managed to get a good clear picture, so IMO you don't need to be busting for the loo by the time you get there!!

Cherry I'm joining you with the sweet munching!! Just can't get enough of sweet stuff (although I have always been like that!) it's actually ridiculous what I can put away just now but I'm making the most of it while I'm still preggers!!

Highheels Hope scan goes well today! :)

Toria Amazing how the time flies! Bunny was my first BFP when I first joined the frolickers and now she has her little man! Can't believe it's only going to be 8 weeks (ish) til I'm a mummy too and before you know it, it'll be your turn! I really do think I can honestly say that the first 12 weeks is the slowest and after that it goes past so quickly until about 30 weeks and now I think things are slowing down a bit again but more with impatience at meeting my baby rather than worry that everything will be ok IYSWIM?

Well had 2nd antenatal class on Tuesday, not sure I'm learning a great deal but it's nice to see other bumps! The midwife doing the class was the midwife who delivered DPs DS and he said she was a total bitch!! He was convinced she recognised him and was giving him daggers through-out the class!! Fingers crossed I don't get her! She, along with other MWs I've met so far, are all very anti-OBEM, so it went down really well when DP told her it was my favourite program!! Apparently it's not a true reflection of what labour should be like and it is most certainly NOT how my labour will be, have to say on the whole I'm pretty much glad about that - forceps anyone!!?
DP also thinks antenatal is a waste of time because I don't ask any questions! I can't help it if I don't have anything to say - TBH I'm pretty easy-osey about the whole thing, I know it's gonna hurt and I know it'll most likely take hours and hours, as for the rest I'll just go with the flow! He just doesn't believe I am so relaxed about it all since I'm such a stress head about every other aspect of life! We'll see....!

Anyway mammoth post - sorry I haven't mentioned everyone individually, have written loads as it is and still have work to be doing but hope everyone is fine :)
