LankyLegs · 26/10/2011 21:45

gold good to hear from you. Are you enjoying your mat leave? I can imagine you can't wait to meet the little person now and I can see how people around you are giving birth must make you quite anxious! Hope its not too long a wait for you. You all sorted with the plethora of organising all your bits at home?

I am good thanks 26 weeks and a very round bump! Feeling ok in general and getting excited about getting lots of baby things sorted- making it very real!

Keep us posted on how you get on! Hope its not too frustrating! :)

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 26/10/2011 22:44

Florin! HUGE sigh of relief! So pleased to hear your news, and you have the flickering heartbeat to look forward to next time Grin
These scan things are so clever aren't they Grin

cherrycobbler · 27/10/2011 20:26

florin so glad to hear that Smile

if you're lurking toria hope all's well and you are currently snuggling your baby pumpkin!

gold oooh the final countdown!!

highheelsandequations · 28/10/2011 15:36

florin and late glad the scans have gone well :)

pixiestix · 29/10/2011 15:32

FAB news Florin and Late! [hsmile] You must both feel on top of the world.

I've had my stalker hat on again [hblush] and just seen that Toria had a little boy, Thomas! Her birth story is on the Nobdie's thread today - warning, its not for the faint hearted!

goldmaple · 30/10/2011 01:24

I will not be reading Toria's story (at least until after I give birth) but congrats!!:)

lanky I like to plan and have been ready for baby for a while. Maybe that's why I feel like I've been pregnant forever... I know I should just be enjoying this calm before the storm - So I'm trying but feel uncomfy and restless.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Looking forward to hearing about all the scans coming up.

bunnygirl80 · 30/10/2011 07:44

Good stalking sleuthing pixie

Congrats toria Hope you're enjoying snuggles with Thomas

gold looks like you're up next Grin

LankyLegs · 31/10/2011 13:21

Fantastic news Toria! Hope it all went well and you are enjoying your snuggles!

Waits anxiously for news from Gold (I noticed on the November thread that Gold was heading into hospital with contractions....Good luck my dear! xx

ToriaPumpkinLantern · 31/10/2011 19:47

I'm so sorry for the neglect frolickers, in the latter stages I was just so grumpy and achey that I spent most of my days sleeping or sulking and fretting about my induction. I was induced at 39+4 due to Thomas reacting to my glucose intolerance and ballooning in weight and he was born at 00.02 on October 25th (39+5) weighing 9lbs on the button.

My birth story is not for the faint hearted, so I wont post it here as I don't want to scare anyone! But Thomas and I are now home safe and sound and getting on well. BF isn't working out at all (mainly due to his birth being a bit scary for him and leading to a milk delay in me), and I'm less upset about that than I thought I would be, at this stage as long as he's eating I'd be out digging up bugs for him! He sleeps well which is a blessing and DH has taken to fatherhood like an absolute pro [hgrin] There is a pic of him on my profile for anyone who wants to see his smooshy face!

Welcome to the new people, I'm glad you're all doing well and that your scans have given good results, I too had bleeding on and off to 20 weeks but as you can see, it's not always bad so stay positive.

I also finally got my MA sorted! They started paying me four weeks ago so that's a weight off [hgrin]

How's everyone else doing? I'm very impressed with your restraint Lanky by 26 weeks I think we'd bought just about everything as I couldn't wait!

bunnygirl80 · 31/10/2011 20:35

Awww toria he's gorgeous. I spent the whole 9mths either sleeping or sulking, so you did well to confine it to the latter stages Grin Come join the postgrads - it's a bit quiet (damn babies needing our attention Wink) sometimes but we'd love to see you

gold good luck Smile

LankyLegs · 01/11/2011 13:29

Toria my dear he is absolutely lovely! Am so pleased you are both well and back home and sorry to hear it was a bit of a journey. I hope that is all behind you now. Don't feel guilty or bad abou BF either - really annoys me how lots of people have opinions on it. Post lots more piccies of him when you get the chance! (also pleased you finanlly got your Mat allowance sorted as well). I have ben very restrained with the baby purchases - but that is for a reason! My sister has literally given us everything as she has finished having her kids and her youngest is 10 months - perfect! We have ordered the nursery furniture though and that is arriving at the end of November.

How is everyone else - still waiting on Gold news!!

Late - everything going well with you? Hope the pesky spotting has dissapeared. Any further symptoms?

Florin - same with you - hope the spotting was a one off.

Womanly where are you hiding my dear?

Am shortly hitting the third trimester (am 27 weeks now) and starting to panic think about the birth - eeek! Also - starting to get more tired again now which is not great. I am more focussed on getting our carpet down next week which marks the end of the house rennovations - 8 months and counting since we started them and although they have been on and off over the last few months, am sick to death of dust and not having carpet down in the main rooms. As a result all the baby stuff is piled in the dining room waiting to be sorted out in the nursery and I can't wait to get it all out and see what I have - my sister has literally given me everything from breast pumps to vests to sterilisers, bouncers, mittens, play mats, car seats, bugaboo! So it will be like going shopping when I unpack it all. Am VERY excited... also means I can go shopping for the cute baby outfits instead :-)

The other thing I need to share is that I have just under 7 weeks of work left.... 33 days.... Which is scary and bloody brilliant at the same time! To be honest I am not sure how much longer of commuting into London I could take - it is defintely starting to take its toll...

Hope everyone else is having good weeks!

cherrycobbler · 02/11/2011 14:14

ooooh so exciting re gold, will keep checking in for news!

Can't believe you're about to hit the third trimester lanky. Am vicariously very excited about you unpacking all your baby loot! 7 weeks left at work - amazing.

OP posts:
womanlytales · 02/11/2011 17:04

here I am - sorry for lurking for awhile I was really worried about spreading my scares in what has been quite a wobbly journey thus far. I am currently at 15 weeks, eagerly awaiting my mid-wife appt next week. Spotting still continues and on Monday I was laid up throwing up everything I tried to have ghastly! Onwards and Upwards

Toria hearty congrats and welcome to Thomas.
Gold best of luck (though you're probably not reading this....but it is exciting)
Lanky 26 weeks - fab :) I have three mini-milestones lined up already - 16 wks / 20 wks and 28 wks... and then perhaps 34 wks and lastly d-day.

Am not buying anything yet simply because I am hoping for the terror to quieten...then again perhaps I am waiting for the 20 wk scan...and then figure our second half strategy :) lol - like i have any control.

So question for those on the heavier side (if any) - when did your bump show? I have quite a large and much loved tummy and so I am wondering if I will show much later as a result.. ?

LankyLegs · 03/11/2011 17:12

womanly good to hear from you and sorry your spotting is continuing - must be adding to all the other worries that go on during pregnancy. Some women are just more prone to bleeing in pregnancy just like others are more prone to other things...

Good to have thos milestons in though - keep focussing on them.

I think there might be some gold news on the November thread but hopefully she will be along shortly! Congrats Gold!!! xxx

Flickstar · 03/11/2011 20:31

Knock knock, remember me?!

I have a little bit of news to share.... I just got a bloody BFP! EEEKK.

I peed on a clear blue digital about an hour ago and it said 'pregnant 2-3'. To say I'm shocked is a bloody understatement- we had only been casually trying again for two months and i never expected it tonhappen somquicklybafter allmof my stress and irregular cycles back in HK. I don't think I've stopped shaking yet and of course I am immediately terrified that something will go wrong.

Sorry for being So me, me,me but I wanted to tell SOMEONE and you girls were the first I thought of xxxxxx

cherrycobbler · 03/11/2011 21:15

OMG flick!!!!! I think I may have let out a little bit of my own wee in excitement (pregnant ladies: the midwives are not joking when they say your pelvic floors will never be the same again). Am just so so happy for you. Terror is completely normal btw. Here for lots of hand holding if you need it.

womanly sorry to hear that you are still spotting :( Do you know what caused the throwing up on Mon? Hope it was just a one off thing and not a return of sickness. All about the mini milestones, not long till your next m/w appt.

Oooh and congratulations to mummygold! Hope all going well and you are getting some sleep.

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 03/11/2011 21:29

Whoop whoop Flick! What FANTASTIC news! Grin All fingers & toes crossed that everything goes smoothly for you, you must be sooo excited!

Going to go and have a snoop at what Gold has been up to... Smile

Womanly, good to hear you're hanging in there, I really do hope it all settles down for you soon.

Congrats on reaching the 3rd trimester Lanky!

All quiet on the western front here - no more spotting for me so far, very grateful for that. I hit 9 weeks tomorrow, by this point last time I was in the middle of the mc horror, so have mixed feelings about it -although having already seen the bean and it's heartbeat does make things easier to believe in. No sickness either, although my boobs have suddenly got a bit ma-hoo-sive! Still waiting for my booking-in appt at the hospital - can't believe DH & I will be going for the 12-week scan before the end of the month! (hopefully)

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 03/11/2011 21:31

Ps. When does the always-needing-to-wee subside? Please don't say by around week 38...!

highheelsandequations · 03/11/2011 22:01

Flick :o :o :o :o

toria congrats on your gorgeous boy.

late hate to say it but for me about 2 days after giving birth! And now I'm so thirsty with the BF that I'm back to getting up to wee in the middle of the night.

And sincere apologies if I've missed anyone!

bunnygirl80 · 04/11/2011 03:23

flick wow that's fantastic GrinGrin

Congrats gold

late like hh said the needing to pee constantly is pretty much a feature until after you've given birth. I retained loads of fluid and once I'd had William it came out as pee (and sweat ,yuck) so he was probably about a week old before I could go a reasonable length of time between toilet breaks Smile

LankyLegs · 04/11/2011 07:13

OMG!!!! What brilliant news to wake up on this dreary Friday morning!!! flick that is such GREAT news and am Sooooo bloody pleased for you!!! Whoohooo. If it helps the shock didn't subside for ages esp as you have to carry your news around in secret for a while. Am hoping the next 12 weeks fly by for you. Still beaming for you :)

late so pleased the spotting has stopped and I can completely get how you must be reliving what happened last time. Your scan will come around quick as a flash hopefully and you will vet to see the little munchkin again.

Wish I could stay at chat all day today but off to run a stupid all day workshop. Grrr. 6 weeks left and counting though!

CaveMum · 04/11/2011 08:14

Flick Grin Grin Grin

Thank you for tracking me down to let me know! I'm so excited for you that I've just cried!!

I've bunked up with Aries in the BESH thread for a little while but god damn it I will be joining you all soon! Clomid starts next week.

[leaves cake & non-alcoholic fizz]

I can't stop Grin-ing!
