toria how was Harry Potter? I'm dying to see it but if I sit for >1 hour then my legs swell up.

lanky still lurking:) Doing well. Had appt today at 24 wks and bubba (uterus) is measuring 25.5wks. Heard heartbeat but as I can feel her I didn't need as much reassurance. Hope the ms is gone (or at least better). Not sure the worry ever goes, but I just keep thinking of how many children are born etc... and that keeps me positive - i think it gets better when you can feel baby because there is constant reassurance

latetothis I had dark brown spotting (felt like a ton!) at 13 wks and my GP wasn't concerned as it wasn't red, but I know it is upsetting. Glad to hear your midwife wasn't concerned and I hope it stops soon.

It was really good Gold a couple of bits the book purists wont be happy about but I think they did really well with what they had. We had to get VIP seats as siting still for more than 40 minutes currently results in me having to lie down and stretch my back!

Late how are you getting on? I hope the spotting has stopped and that you had a good night with your friends.

Gold sounds like everything is ticking along nicely and pleased that your appt went well. Sounds like the little one is very active?! I agree am hoping the worry dies down soon. MS is a bit funny I thought it was dying down a bit but then it reared its ugly head again so not sure what is going on but I hope there is not too much more of it as its really effecting my performance at work (not great when you have just started a new job a month ago!) I just feel sorry for DH as I come home and curl up on the sofa then fall asleep and he has to wake me to get me up to bed! The evenings are turning into a bit of a groundhog day in that sense!

Toria thats brill you get a lovely amount of time before the little one arrives to enjoy a bit more. I bet you are secretky pleased? Your back sounds painfull - hope it's manageable.

Pixie was nice to see your perspective on worrying throughout the pregnancy - I think it just goes to show that it never stops but I think we have to force ourselves to try and enjoy it as well. Hope your little one is doing well...

Right, the bleeding is still going on. It hasn't changed much, it's still light and there's no pain, but it's definitely still there. I'm not sure what to do, if anything... I'm not stressing about it or anything, I just don't want to bother the midwife about it again if it's nothing unusual, and I dont want to get all high-matainence on her! Then again, I don't want to miss something big & important that might be going on down there.... Goodness me!

I know you don't want to be a nuisance but give her a call. If you worry about it all night and (God forbid) it goes on all weekend you'll just get more and more stressed and that's bad for you and for the baby. They are used to this and it's what they're here for! If it turns out to be nothing then you'll know and can relax.

FWIW if it hadn't been for my mother I would have been in for monitoring at least twice by now. Mum being a midwife kinda gave me a shortcut to sonicaids and reassurance.

late how you getting on today? Did you get in touch with the midwife? I am in agreement with toria in that if you are worried you should call her and get the reassurance you need.

Hi Toria and Lanky, yes I did speak to the midwife today and she's said I need to go to A&E and get looked at & maybe a scan. I think the fact it's been going on for 4 days and has got heavier not lighter means I do need to get checked out even though there's no pain. Waiting for DH to get home and then we'll go up. I'm really upset, sitting here on the sofa having a bit of a blub

Heard my baby's heartbeat! Such a relief! Will be going to the EPU on Monday for a proper scan, but will sleep easier until then

It seems that the heartbeat I heard on Saturday evening was, in fact, my own. My baby stopped growing at 4 weeks. I had a scan this morning which showed a sack with a teeny tiny little pip in it, but there's no heartbeat or movement... I have an unpleasant week ahead of me now while I wait for it to either flush out naturally, or get flushed out next Monday

The midwife was very positive about future conception, so I hope it's not too long before I'm back on this thread - DH is going to need to start taking his vitamin supplements again Thanks so much for your support!

thanks so much ladies I've had a really good cry, pulled myself together & went into work this afternoon. Did me good I think, I'm still gutted & upset, but not so teary and emotional. It's funny, but already I don't feel pg - even though it's still in there I don't feel any connection to it & just want it all to be cleared out so I can get on with getting the next bfp! I know it seems bad that A&E could have got it so wrong, but it wasn't a proper scan, and actually the thought that it was all ok got me through a huge family party yesterday which would have been horrible if I'd known then what I know now.

Hope you all continue to bloom in your various gorgeous pg states, I hope to be back here soon, keep my place warm

How is everyone else? Toria did you have a nice weekend with your best friend?

Busy week here - midwife booking in on Monday and then dating and nuchal scan yesterday. We were really worried but everything came up ok! The little thing was wriggling around giving the sonogropher a hard time as she was trying to get all the measurements. Was so humbling to see this tiny thing inside you - really quite amazing and it really hit home! She took 5 days off my due date so am now 13+1 with a due date of 1st of Feb.

We have the whole of my family and Dh's over on saturday for a big get together and really looking forward to celebrating rather than fretting so much!

Hope crazyalien and gold are doing ok! Are we the only 4 pregnant people on the thread? Not sure how up to date the list is....

Hi Lanky My weekend was lovely, we got lots of catching up done and lots of baby and wedding talk as she's getting married next year!

Currently away with my ILs for BIL's wedding so going slowly mad. Have been needing an afternoon nap of late though which is a wonderful way to escape for a while!

Glad your scan went well, it's bizarre the first time!
