Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
bunnygirl80 · 19/04/2011 12:32

crazya I think it depends on the mw if they'll check for a hb - it's not always easy to find at 16wks so they won't always check in case not being able to find it for ages stresses you out.

mrsw he was 5 months last week Shock It still only seems like 2 seconds since I got my bfp and now I'm planning going back to work

toria congrats on the scan

Looks like there's a few of you poised to join us on the postgrads.....I'll keep checking in for birth announcements Smile

highheelsandequations · 19/04/2011 18:13

MW app was fine, short and sweet as usual! No measuring today and I'd thought they'd do bump measurements at every app now, is that strange? Also found out I should have been invited to antenatal classes starting tomorrow but wasn't so now have to wait another 6 weeks, fingers crossed pip doesn't decide to show up early!

toria yay for scan, your photo looks really clear.

MrsW yep, same hospital, have not been impressed with their communication skills.

Thanks for all the well wishes for DPs dad, he is now on the normal ward and seems to be doing a lot better so fingers crossed he'll be home soon.

crazydayz · 20/04/2011 09:01

Halo Massive congrats and hope to be joining you in the new arrivals section very soon!

Cherry Glad you are enjoying mat leave! I'm 37 weeks this fri but at least I know I've only got one more week.

MrsW Come on you need to be next! Hope you're dealing with the warm weather better than me!

Toria Excellent news regarding scan!

HH Hope DPs dad is making progress.

Big wave to all I haven't mentioned.

Well I'm still suffering with high BP but not high enough for them to hospitalise me but just being sent to triage at the mat unit every 2 days. I'll be 37 weeks on fri and all looked good on tues at 36 week scan. I'd really like them to induce me asap due to the high bp etc but they won't induce before 37 weeks and as fri-mon is a bank hol weekend they have given me a provisional date of Tuesday! This might not seem long to wait but feels like an eternity!! BUT it does mean that the twins will be here by the end of the 29th April so a maximum of 9 days!!!! Grin

MrsWajs · 20/04/2011 10:11

Oh Crazyd I told you you'd beat me to it!! I bet you still do!

Nothing much happening here at all. Thought I was kind of starting last night but turned out to be a constipation issue instead Blush :(
Still stickng with my 28th prediction!!

CaveMum · 20/04/2011 18:33

[sticks head round door] Any of you any-day-now ladies planning on using William or Kate as a name if you give birth on Royal Wedding Day Wink

bunnygirl80 · 20/04/2011 23:25

cavey I get asked at least 100000000000000000 times per day if I chose William's name because of the royal wedding Hmm

We chose the name after the 20wk scan but only went for the big reveal when he was born which rather inconveniently happened a couple of days after they announced their sodding engagement. Think I might just start telling people that I was so overcome with royal wedding fever that his middle name's Catherine Grin

crazyd good luck with the birth. Can't wait to hear about the arrival of the first Frolicker twins (and you could go all out and call them Will and Kate Wink)

mrsw lol at constipation/labour confusion Grin

MrsWajs · 21/04/2011 10:39

Nope definitely not calling baby Kate!! It was one of DPs names but not because of the wedding, he just liked it!!

Just to let you guys know that I think JSJ went into labour yesterday too, she's on the April thread with me. So all being well she might have had her LO by now and that makes ME top of the list - aaarrrggghhhh!!

Although I think I'm over it already I just want my baby here now!!

CrazyAlien06 · 21/04/2011 11:13

hey everyone , how are you all?

I had 16 wk mw appt- DH surprised me and turned up as I didnt think that he could :D
I also had a different mw who was much nicer than my usual one who apparently is in Australia ( not told of this when tried to contact her!- useless!)
Anyway, mw took bp and then said she will try for heartbeat. Well i had only just laid down and she put doppler on and found it straight away! a strong heartbeat of 155! DH recorded it on his phone so that was great.
Think im starting to get a bump as its getting hard?and I can't breathe it in anymore..... also accumulating a rather large podge which I guess and am hoping will stretch out into a rather cute bump!
Toria glad to hear tour scan went well :D
mrsW- fingers crossed that it wont be long for you to welcome your bundle into the world

highheelsandequations · 22/04/2011 10:20

Just wanting an excuse to use the [bugrin]

Why do I live in the one part of the UK that is not having a heatwave???

CaveMum · 22/04/2011 11:03

Me again! Just wanted to pick some graduate brains: I had my HSG yesterday and it turns out that, on top of the PCOS I have a blocked Fallopian tube. Great!
If any of you have been through similar circumstances your advice will be much appreciated. My next appointment with my consultant is not till 10th May so I'm trying very hard not to Google diagnose myself with something horrid!

Happy Easter to all [busmile]

haloflo · 22/04/2011 11:53

Ooh good luck crazydays and JSJ - looking forward to imminent baby news!

mrsw I can't believe your due date is nearly here. How do you feel? I found the last few days dragged and dragged. I hope you don't go overdue.

cavemum Sorry to hear that you have a blocked tube. I hope someone can give you advice soon.

highheels Tis gorgeous in the North West - we might go out for lunch as a family for the first time. (I say might because Hannah is currently asleep & who knows what will happen when she wakes!)

MrsWajs · 22/04/2011 20:41

For want of a better explanation Halo I feel crap!!! Everything is dragging and I'm so uncomfortable, back hurts and keep getting period/constipation cramps :( Really not enjoying this part at all, just want to be in labour (never thought I'd actually say that!!) Struggled even to drive to the shops today - what's that all about?!
Hope you managed to get out for a nice lunch today :)

Cavemum I don't have any experience of what you're going through myself but my friend had to have an HSG for blocked tubes, sometimes the procedure itself can clear the blockage or I think there is a further procedure that they will do to clear them. Sorry don't know if that helps at all.

Highheels You must have been unlucky today as we had glorious sunshine here!

CrazyA Glad you got to hear the heartbeat! :)

Happy easter weekend everyone [busmile]

bunnygirl80 · 22/04/2011 22:11

mrsw I'm convinced the last few days of pg are designed to make you feel awful so that no matter how demanding your newborn is you'll be so thrilled you're not pg anymore you won't care [bugrin] This last bit is the hardest part but just keep telling yourself you've only got days left of this and then you get to meet your lovely scrumptious baby (and you get to sleep on your tummy again [busmile]

cavey I think chance only has one tube, but she hasn't posted on the postgrads for ages so not sure if she's still around. You could try sending her a pm. I'm sure one of the other grads who doesn't post anymore got pg shortly after a HSG as well, but can't remember who it was - maybe if you have time you could check back through the old thread. Sorry, not much help, but there are definitely people here who've had babies despite similar problems. Hope you get some answers at your appointment and you get your bfp soon [busmile]

JollySergeantJackrum · 23/04/2011 07:51

Baby Harris James was born at 2319 on April 21st assisted by forceps. He weighed in at 8lb 3oz.

Will post details of birth on post natal thread when I have time as it's not for the fainthearted. Baby very well although I feel like I've been hit by a train.

We're working on breastfeeding and fingers crossed it seems okay so far.

bunnygirl80 · 23/04/2011 08:27

Massive congratulations jsj Hope you start to feel better soon [busmile]

haloflo · 23/04/2011 16:19

Congratulations JSJ I may have an idea of how you feel, although I know I was lucky enough to avoid an assisted delivery, my birth hit me hard. However every day I felt stronger and now the memories of the birth are fading. I hope you feel better soon. Harris is a lovely name & glad to here he is doing well. Looking forward to seeing a pic if you get chance.

mrsw Sorry to hear that - I did think this weather would be hard for you at nearly 40 weeks. Hopefully not long. Are you settled on a name? You don't have to say what it is. We only agreed on Hannah in week 40 - left it late I know but its such a big decision!

MrsWajs · 24/04/2011 02:38

Hi guys, think that's me on my way! Been having on/off pains since Friday evening which are now much more consistent and painful following a VE by MW last night!
Sitting here with TENS machine on and bouncing on my ball!!

Hope to update you all soon :)

haloflo · 24/04/2011 06:39

Ooh good luck Mrsw. I can't wait for you to join us on the other side. [busmile]

bunnygirl80 · 24/04/2011 08:03

Yay mrsw Good luck, see you on the other side soon [busmile]

CrazyAlien06 · 24/04/2011 08:44

Good luck mrsw :D x

highheelsandequations · 24/04/2011 10:49

Massive congrats to Jolly and good luck to MrsW [bugrin]

The sun is actually out here for once so must get outside before it goes away again!

ToriaPumpkinHead · 24/04/2011 10:50

Massive congrats to JSJ and good luck to MrsW

I too am off to mske the most of the sun (and eat an easter egg)

crazybutterflylady · 24/04/2011 13:29

Hi all and a big welcome and congrats to all the newbies!!

Halo thanks for sharing your birth story. Even though it's not exactly as you planned - and sounds like s huge amount of hard work and pain Sad - I am sure you'll look back on it fondly in the next few years as without all that you wouldn't have your gorgeous little girl. I am trying hard to stay positive and think that whatever happens it will only be an awful day or so out of my life and I can give that gladly for what I get in return. Remind me of this when I tell my story please!!! [bugrin]

JSJ congrats on the arrival of Harris James. Lovely name, hope you are both doing very well [bugrin]

MrsW GOOD LUCK!!

I seem to have missed lots so won't try to do a full catch up as I am sure to get totally confused. Glad to hear everyone is doing well though!

Cherry I hope you are enjoying your maternity leave so far. I am loving mine although I have been really busy. I need to stop arranging things to do and just chill!!

HighHeels not long to go at school now, woohoo! When will you leave?

Cavey lovely to hear from you honey, sorry to hear your news and sorry I dint have any experience of it but am hoping someone will have some positive info for you soon. Have you tried posting a thread on the pregnancy forum?? Might be worth a shot... Keep us informed!

All is going well with me. Nursery and hospital bag all done so ready for her to arrive now. I have acquired my first ugly purple stretch marks the last week which has been difficult for me, I definitely feel like my body has been taken over, with udders to boot [bublush]... But am trying to stay focussed and remember it's a means to an end...! The heat is making me really tired but it's a good excuse to sloth around, hehe! Only 2 + 4 to go for me now... Although I can go up to 10 days overdue... Pretty scary to think that anytime now I will be responsible for another little being! Eek!!

I'll keep an eye on the thread for news if BabyWajs! In the meantime hope you all have a fabulous and chocolatey Easter [busmile] [busmile] [busmile]

crazydayz · 25/04/2011 09:29

Congrats JSJ!
Ooooh good luck Mrs W!
Well I'm packed and ready for hospital tomorrow so I will 'see' you all once the twins are here and I can give you a proper update! [Grin]

crazybutterflylady · 25/04/2011 10:10

Good luck crazydayz!! Hope everything goes well, can't wait to hear your news. Will be thinking about you tomorrow!x
