Hi ladies-thought I would be adventurous & set up the new thread for the final leg of our journey Grin

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
snowangels1 · 03/02/2011 10:50

earlgrey don't think it was discharge as I get alot of that and it's more (tmi) thick and doesn't sort of feel like it's seeping out in the same way Blush

Feel quite Confused. Just had reflexology and came over all funny - had massive hot flush and felt really faint/dizzy, lightheaded - not sure if it was the massaging itself or the position of the chair she has meaning baby pressing on my body too much making me feel odd. Had to get her to stop after just 10 mins :( Anyone know if maybe this is things limbering up for main event? I've been seriously nesting for the past few days and had a bit of a tummy clear out this morning Hmm . Not to worry those others having reflex today though - I've had it countless times before and never felt like this with it.

roundthehouses · 03/02/2011 11:03

snowangels - obv can´t say if things are getting ready for you or not but it could well be that the chair you were in meant baby was pressing on an artery or something in a way that made you feel all funny. Or not!

have you spoken to your mw about the leaking last night? I would imagine that if it was your waters you would have had some more leaking since then but if you are still concerned it might be worth asking them?

ledkr · 03/02/2011 11:14

wiggles re hair,we were watching the birth vid yesterday and have to say i was glad my roots looked fab! That was all i noticed.
Mr Ledkr was forgiven for his condom gaff by last night producing a pair od diamond studs!

Someone have a baby quickly! I am to be found wandering the echoing halls of mn looking for people to talk to,if i develop pnd it will be down to you lot.

Condom anyone?

wigglesrock · 03/02/2011 11:23

Ledkr - diamond stud condoms ouch Grin

snowangels1 · 03/02/2011 11:23

Diamond studs ledkr I am v Envy . I hinted to DH a few months ago he might like to get me something shiny upon the birth of LO and I got a Shock look and a response that wasn't my engagement/wedding ring enough for me and how he should use his money on such excitements as new guttering on the house instead of jewlrey for me Hmm . I'm not holding out any hope whatsover.

roundthehouses not spoken to mw re: leakage but if I notice any more I will do. Wondering if I agree with you re: chair meaning baby pressing on something making me feel odd and once I got up I felt bit better, and, remember, this is a big 'un so there is alot of weight pressing on me when I lie back Wink. Which reminds me, had to lie flat on my back for my swab with nurse yesterday as when I lay back on the arched couch thing you have to get on for these things it fell down to flat

snowangels1 · 03/02/2011 11:25

lol at wiggles Grin

PDR · 03/02/2011 11:34

Just had reflexology :) Twas lovely! Baby was kicking away throughout so didn't fall asleep this time Grin

Am also nesting big time - ordered a load of new bedding and towels yesterday to be delivered today so that should arrive soon Hmm Not entirely sure why I did that but it's too late now Grin

Got another bloody toddler birthday party this afternoon and this one doesn't start till 3pm so there blinking well better be some food for the mummies or I might have to steal some off DS's plate Blush

DH is off today but still in bed Hmm and he says he is "not in the mood" to take me out for lunch so I might go to cafe and get a takeaway baguette or something - craving iceburg lettuce - very odd.

angels I think the midwife would want to know if you think you might have leaked some waters. I have heard people talking about fore and hind waters so maybe this was the forewaters going? Anyway I think they can check if they are still intact or not or perhaps do a scan to check the level of fluid?

WaddlingSheep · 03/02/2011 12:22

Hello all! Hope everyone is having a good day! Nearly the weekend Smile

Just got back from my MW appt. My MW is so lovely Smile. I've seen two pretty consistently throughout this pregnancy and they've both been so lovely!

I think this baby keeps lying/jumping on my sciatic nerve(?) as I keep feeling a shooting pain down my left thigh. This morning I was stood brushing my teeth and my leg nearly gave way! Shock

Angels could it be possible that it was a bit of bath water if it was only a trickle? Apparently, sometimes the bath water can (ahem) creep into certain places and then trickle out.

Roundthehouses, yep I am very short tempered with DD! She tipped a full beaker of juice over the other day and it went everywhere I had to tell her to go upstairs before I committed murder! She's also going through the "play with me" stage which is fine but sometimes I find it really boring Blush. She's really bossy too Hmm! Yesterday we were playing with her dolls house and everything I did was wrong, "no! Don't do that you do this and you have to say this!" To the point where I want to say, childishly, "I'm NOT PLAYING ANYMORE!!!!" Grin
Oh and we now have a dark brown sofa as DD kindly "decorated" a cream leather one that we had with biro. Not just a small bit but the whole seat! I think she must have been about 20 months.

debka · 03/02/2011 13:08

So... you know how you say that when you're induced it might take a while but you always leave with your baby?

IT'S NOT TRUE!!!

2 full days, 4 prostin gels, a fair amount of pain and NOTHING.

Was discharged this morning on Day 3, still pregnant and booked in for a retry next Tuesday. Am completely knackered but glad not to be in hospital any more.

Hope all well, will try and catch up soon.

Deliaskis · 03/02/2011 13:10

angels if I were you, I would call mw re your leakage. It might be nothing, but it might be seeping waters. Our AN class mw said sometimes they do. They will want to know, and might want to give you a quick check-up. Plus with the other more subtle things you have had (nesting stuff, 'clear-out' of digestive system and also weirdness with reflexology) it might be the start of something but the leakage in particular they will want to know about. I would just give them a quick call to let them know then they can decide if it's something they want to keep an eye on.

No signs of anything exciting happening with me (hence my clutching at straws post the other day re labour happening without a lot of actual warning!), two more days in work after today and will be soooooo glad to finish.

Hope everyone is well, and being looked after!

Dx

Deliaskis · 03/02/2011 13:12

Oh debka you poor thing, what a nightmare! Baby must just be too comfy in there for the moment, and very determined, by the sounds of it. Fingers crossed for you next Tuesday...

Dx

PinkElephant73 · 03/02/2011 13:24

Debka induction resistant baby! maybe now you are home, you will relax a bit and things may get going. I think similar thing happened for my SIL. hope you get some sleep first!

waddling sheep I have had the same pain down my left leg with baby. am hoping that when he/she moves down further then it will stop happening as v uncomfortable.

Ive just been out for a coffee with a friend and saw a lady with a 5 week old baby - cant believe that could be me in just over a month!
The waiting is driving me nuts, its my due date tomorrow so have arranged to have lunch with friends to take my mind off the waiting.

Every time I tell someone that Im due tomorrow, they look at me like Ive just said Ive got a bomb in my bag!

40Weeks · 03/02/2011 13:47

Ha ha pinkelephant re the weird looks. Also try telling them you are only 6mo pg and zeetheir shocked faces!

oh debka you poor thing. Hopefully things will progress on their own now you are home?

Am glad it isn't just me that's ratty with dcs, I keep promising I will chill out and be calm serene mum and then I go back to being old ratty mum again. And I have hardly any voice left so they just laugh when I try to shout! Which I know I shouldn't do, just so frustrated.

Bought some raspberry leaf tea today to help "tone my uterus" in preparation for the big dat

40Weeks · 03/02/2011 13:47

Big day

WaddlingSheep · 03/02/2011 14:17

Oh no Debka! I was wondering how you were doing. The baby must be thinking, "sod off! I'm not ready yet, too comfy in here!" You poor thing though!

I wonder how Tallulah is?

snowangels1 · 03/02/2011 14:24

Shock to debka . Poor you. Baby clearly not ready to come out yet. Are the prostin gels a pessary? Did they IV you any hormones? From my limited knowledge I thought if they wern't getting anywhere with the pessary they tried something a bit stronger to get things going Hmm

Will try and ring mws later (assuming I remember) re: potential wetting of self last night. Have a fridge fixing man here now and don't fancy having that conversation with the mw with him in the house Blush

Ohhh - gpa update if anyone remembered he went to hospital? Am pleased to report he is home and doing very well Grin . It seems gma wasn't giving him his medication as she didn't think he needed it Shock and now he's taking it he's better than he's been in months :)

WaddlingSheep · 03/02/2011 14:24

LOL at people's shocked faces Pinkelephant! I love being able to say, "anytime now!" to the question "when are you due?" It means that they don't have the excuse to say, "oh you're huge, I thought you were about to pop!" Sometimes I feel like being really cruel and saying, "I'm not pregnant," just to see the look of Shock and Blush on their faces!

WaddlingSheep · 03/02/2011 14:27

Oh glad your Gpa is doing better Angels. You must feel so relieved!

ElleB1980 · 03/02/2011 14:32

Afternoon all,

I'm glad to read you're all okay and having equally random symptoms as I am! It's my due date today but it looks like I won't be one of the 5% whose babies arrive on the big day. Boo! Am
Increasingly uncomfortable, with less and less sleep and I am pooing for England (tmi?!). I've had to go 3 times already today and each time I'm getting massive cramps.

I've just eaten half a fresh pineapple, knocked back 2 raspberry leaf tablets and have a curry planned tonight with DP. I will get this baby out soon!

PinkiePoo · 03/02/2011 15:51

Ok....i have a question and it is on par with angels

Doing all the usuall nesting crap today, hoovering, cleaning bathroom, when i felt a leakage, but then needed the toilet so assumed i had actually just peed myself, ha ha....the went downstairs to hoover and yet more, like alot more, came out. It doesn't smell like suspect pee, so i popped a pad on, but it is bone dry and that was 2 hours ago...so i don't understand?? Any ideas?

EauRouge · 03/02/2011 16:03

Debka, sorry to hear the induction wasn't a success, fingers crossed that now you're relaxing at home things will happen

Waddlingsheep (great name change btw!), I got sciatic pain with DD towards the end and I'm getting it again now. It's quite literally a pain in the arse Grin

snowangels1 · 03/02/2011 16:33

pinkie sounds like your leakage was far more eventful than mine Wink. Hopefully someone who knows what they're talking about more than me will come on and say something.

Have finally finished sorting out the nursery so feel almost ready for a baby to go in it now Grin

tadjennyp · 03/02/2011 16:38

Phone the midwife Pinkie. Just let her know and follow her advice.

tadjennyp · 03/02/2011 16:42

Sorry about the induction debka - hope it just comes in the meantime!
My OB said last week he would be surprised if I were still pregnant by this week. Well surprise! I hope he decides to take me in too. I can't bear the heartburn anymore.
Hope everyone is having a calm teatime with the dcs. A full-on food tantrum is the last thing we need at the moment!

PinkiePoo · 03/02/2011 17:15

Thanks ladies....may leave it as nothing since, so i am guessing i just needed a massive p**s ha ha!!
