Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

ledkr LOVE your possible/ probable (?) name, esp emmeline Smile I'm waiting for my tummy to disappear now, I doubt I'll ever see my skinnies again.... This season I will mainly be wearing my pjs. You're obviously a pro at being mum, ds only slept about 4/5 hours last night, in between feeds!

Hope debka is doing well.... can't wait to hear from her.

angels I really didn't think about my probs with hospitals, I was 'in the zone' Hmm Wink I can't imagine what the visitors thought of my groaning.... there were 2 young teenage girls there and I hope I proved a good lesson in sex education for them! Wink

Deliaskis · 01/02/2011 16:49

wandering well done [nods approval] for working the sporty look, I'm sure the 'lines' were not at all ruined by huge bump! Wink

Ledkr love your maybe name, Delilah is lovely.

ellesbelles fingers crossed you might be getting moving. I've been taking the RL capsules rather than the tea, but haven't noticed any changes so far. I live in hope!

Come babyskis, time to get serious about moving house!

D

WaddlingSheep · 01/02/2011 16:50

Is there a limit to how much raspberry leaf tea you can drink? I remember last time using the tablets but the packet said take three a day (or something like that) but three a day did eff all so I'm thinking more this time.

I'm having so many braxton hicks and pressure ATM so I hoping that my Uterus will be well practised for labour!

ElleB1980 · 01/02/2011 17:04

Hi all,

Finding it so difficult to keep up with you chatty ladies, despite the fact I have been on Mat Leave for almost 3 weeks now and am bored out of my skull. I am avoiding Jeremy Kyle whenever possible but have become rather addicted to my daily Phil and Kirstie!

So exciting to hear about the arrivals, wonderful names so far - we've agreed on a shortlist but we're not set on any of them so will have to see what she (or still possibly he!) looks like. Technically I only have 2 days to go - due date is Thursday but I really think I will be late. No major signs yet but I'm trying bouncing on my birth ball (while watching DVD box sets), raspberry leaf tablets, a long walk every day and lots of hot food. Any other tips?

Good luck to those who are being induced today, I'm actually very jealous indeed!

X

ledkr · 01/02/2011 17:42

Ah just watching birth dvd am crying and dd is.When my waters went it was like a tsunami.
Need to what are you doing?sat in bed or downstairs,i had a ticking off from the mw re too many visitors etc.if she'd been here sat she would have kittens.I havent posted on here as too long and inappropriate at the mo with all the births will hop across to chat now i think, cant be arsed with aibu and the idiots who will be spouting off!!
Btw Delilah had a bath in hospital in tummy tub like bucket bath, they are lovely,i am going to order one,you may like to check them out.

tadjennyp · 01/02/2011 17:43

Benjamin is gorgeous needto! I also can't wait to get things going. The OB keeps saying he'll be surprised to see me next week, but obviously tadbaby is being more tenacious! So pleased that baby Delilah is feeding much better ledkr. You'll have to let us know what your ILs did!

What language do you translate roundthehouses? I get to translate some German occasionally but there's not much call here in America!

wigglesrock · 01/02/2011 18:19

Ledkr Fab news, beautiful name, was going to start referring to her as your "tiny dancer" Grin

needto - love the name, congratulations again.

I had no prior warning with dd1 or dd2, with dd1 I had a show a week before she arrived. With dd2 I was induced. Funny enough I felt really weird yesterday, when I was out with dd1, felt a bit spaced out and had some sharp shooting pains, don't think it was a side effect of having to go to Disney Store Grin But nothing today, although the past few hours I've had to clean my bathroom and bedroom (not a usual need to have for me) This morning I was also struck by the need to do a "big" Tesco shop!! and have spent the day doing bits and pieces of washing that maybe really didn't need done. Of course that means I'll probably be sitting here in the middle of March like a real norma no mates.

WaddlingSheep · 01/02/2011 18:27

Tadjennyp it's typical that he still hasn't made an appearance after all the worry that he was going to have to be delivered early! I knew it! Smile

WaddlingSheep · 01/02/2011 18:30

Don't worry wiggles I'll probably still be here in March too! We can be Norma No Mates together! Smile

tadjennyp · 01/02/2011 18:32

Yes, I was thinking that too! He's going to be enormous, isn't he and none of his beautiful new clothes will fit!

WaddlingSheep · 01/02/2011 18:32

I've just remembered that I have a sweep booked for 40 weeks. Not looking forward to that so hope I don't have to go!

wigglesrock · 01/02/2011 18:42

waddling loving the name change Grin

tadjennyp · 01/02/2011 18:43

Do you think drinking lots of coffee will help or will I just get manic? Grin

lostfromoz · 01/02/2011 18:52

he's gorgeous needto...congratulations! I love Benjamin, too.

WaddlingSheep · 01/02/2011 19:11

Are you talking about stunting his growth tadjennyp? Nah, just take up smoking! (just kidding!) Although my mum smoked through her pregnancy with me and I was 4 lbs 8 ozs at term! Shock

Why thank you wiggles!

WaddlingSheep · 01/02/2011 19:12

Oh my! I just noticed that I posted the 666th post!

knittakid · 01/02/2011 19:13

needto he's sooo lovely! well done!

Just needed to share the coment from the school receptionist today: 'are you expecting twins then?' !!!!!

tadjennyp · 01/02/2011 19:15

Some people are so cheeky knitta! I don't want an enormous baby as I will have to get out the next size clothes up!

roundthehouses · 01/02/2011 19:23

Needto thanks for the birth story, love the pic he is so beautiful! also loving your updates from "the other side" ledkr! love the name, really gorgeous.

tadjenny - spanish to english but its a really specific industry with very jargony manual type language and a lot of it goes over my head I am afraid. dh keeps laughing when he looks over at me looking at my laptop like this Confused eep. And he IS spanish and when i read him out some of the phrases he is then Confused. was laughing tonight at him butchering an english bedtime story for ds while i am butchering this translation. lol. all arse about tit in this house.

ooh ledkr thanks for the tummy tub recommendation, I really wanted one with ds and never did and keep meaning to pick one up for this lo so might just get around to it. though they cost about 40euros around here, SURELY a bucket (brand new and reserved for that purpose of course) would do?!

tadjennyp · 01/02/2011 19:31

Sounds like fun though round! I did Spanish A level while back in the UK and have been trying to keep it up here in the States though it's mainly latin American stuff. Smile

40Weeks · 01/02/2011 20:02

Evening

needto Benjamin is absolutely adorable, well done you. Only just had time to look at photos!

ledkr you really must tell us what pils did - the intrigue is too much! How is the lovely Delilah doing today? Glad you are feeling well.

angels sorry I forgot to say thanks for the wispa, hope I didn't hurt you when I tore it out of your hand Wink

justonemore Sorry you are so pooped, you sound like you have your hands well and truly full. Hope your Lo is doing ok

Dh is home and cooking dinner while I sit d

40Weeks · 01/02/2011 20:04

Oops - sit down.

Am feeling like totally shite mum at the mo, have no energy or patience and can't see how it's going to get any better. I wish I didn't want to sleep all day long. And am overeating out of boredom but don't have energy to get arse out of house in the afternoons.

40Weeks · 01/02/2011 20:05

But I did get some lovely new post baby Pjs at the weekend Smile sorry for dull post

tadjennyp · 01/02/2011 20:09

I know how you feel 40 - keep taking my two to playcentres so I can sit down and don't feel so guilty about them being bored. We're not crap Mums, we are 9 months pregnant!

wigglesrock · 01/02/2011 20:17

40weeks and tadjennyp don't worry I'm the mum that dragged my two to McDonalds yesterday and encouraged them to get ice-cream so we could stay longer Grin
