those of you with heartburn - did it start out as loads of burps & stuff?

neverlookback · 24/01/2011 09:58

nickstermum · 24/01/2011 10:09

Deep fried battered beef burger, chips and curry sauce.... i can only ever manage a bite but they are DH's indulgence from the chippy!

Give me a pineapple fritter any day of the week.

Scan today... slightly bricking it you could say!

I am told the maternity leggings from George at Asda cost 6 quid and are fab!!! Not that i have yet indulged, all depends on today

Talk about freaky wierd vivid dreams... i was with an ex in the middle of the night according to my brain, t'was very vivid i can tell you Grin ha ha !!... i think i preferred the one with jenson button :) Bizarre and bonkers Shock

KTisPG · 24/01/2011 11:04

Morning all. I can recommend lemonade and a few drops of angoustura bitters.

I lost 3 stone by bf and weightwatchers last time, but have put a lot of it back on. I'm going for my usual approach to weight gain - don't get on the scales Grin. I will give myself a couple of months after the birth and then re-join ww and apply myself. At least I know having done it once, I can do it again (says she, trying to convince herself as much as the next person Wink) Biscuit anyone??

LittleBeaut · 24/01/2011 11:27

Oooh good luck nickster sure everything will be fine and dandy but I know how your feeling I was exactly the same on Friday!! And have to admit I'm still nervous about the blood results coming in from the hospital next week - eeek

So far today I have eaten... an alpen bar (summer fruits) and a full pack of crakers and a full pot of cream cheese and pineapple (oink oink) to be fair it was Morrisons eat smart cream cheese and pineapple like. When I get to slimming world on Wednesday they are all going to be disgusted at my gain... and non of them but the leader know's I'm pregnant Blush

neverlookback · 24/01/2011 11:29

im on the same wave length as you KTisPG im thinking weight watchers too i did do well on that the last time, just got to get focused!

Good luck for your scan nickstermum ive got nearly another 2 weeks wait! time is going so so slowly.

i really want chippy now, i live up north so they are pretty good, theres one near me that does rag pudding, its like a steak pudding but its flat with thin suet pasty then steamed, they are delicious ummm x

LadyGoneGaga · 24/01/2011 11:48

I'm going to do another marathon to lose the weight - will have about 7 months for training if I don't restart for 6 weeks after the birth. Not absolutely ideal but I have a deferred place for London that I have to use 2012 or will lose. Might have to invest in a running buggy! Anyone have one?

I am so craving chipshop chips and curry sauce right now. It is not even funny!

LittleBeaut · 24/01/2011 12:17

Thankfully all this talk of chips doesnt make me want some because I dont really eat them. In fact I dont eat them... only McDonalds because lets face it there is no actual potato in them is there??

I have six weeks that like a gazillion sleep to my next scan now Sad but will hopefully find out its a pink of blue baby - eeek x

nickstermum · 24/01/2011 12:46

NOT A GOOD DAY TO GET THE HOSPITAL APT TIME WRONG...gah was 2 hours early! Blush

LittleBeaut · 24/01/2011 12:52

Ah... haha sorry nickster that made me laugh!! We've all done it... and you have baby brain to blame dont you?? So what time are you there?? I will be thinking of you!! x

bellamysbride · 24/01/2011 12:53

Yukana how are you doing?

Well in the end we didn't get fish and chips, so we will have to wait until next week to find out if Saaaarth London does curry sauce. I hope not, it is hideous stuff Grin-how to ruin fish and chips in one move!!

After chasing my booking and scan appointment for 2 weeks and having been told that the initial referral hadn't been received and that the second one was just being processed, I got a call yesterday saying I had missed my booking appt Hmm! All sorted now though. Scan is 2 weeks today. I have just been reading a thread about MMC and still feeling pregnant, so now despite having had 9 week scan and feeling sick as a dog I am convinced I have had a MMC.

No libido here in waking hours but am having 'wrong' dreams about other (gross) men in my sleep! What is all that about? Poor old DP!

LittleBeaut · 24/01/2011 12:53

ps. proper jealous of your McDonalds now!! x

LadyGoneGaga · 24/01/2011 12:57

Oh Nix! I hope you have had a wee and are drinking water again rather than holding it in?! Grin

nickstermum · 24/01/2011 12:57

fat cow am at the hospital at 2pm, again!!

Bellamy step away from the mmc thread Grin xxx

nickstermum · 24/01/2011 12:58

Urm yeah, LG now have to drink yet more fluids.... gah!

LittleBeaut · 24/01/2011 13:04

My letter said that I had to drink 1.5 pints of water and have it finished an hour before the scan and NOT TO WEE until after the scan. Does yours?? My god I was in so much pain walking to the hospital it took twice as long as it usually would, I couldnt concentrate on the scan because it was hurting so much everytime she touched my tummy. I literally ran to the loo when she had finished hahaha think I looked a right silly billy actually ha

wheresmytractor · 24/01/2011 13:07

KPisPG and Nickstermum

I did WW too last time, started 6 weeks after DS2 was born and lost nearly 2 stone in 6 months Let me know if you want to be WW buddies in 9 months timeSmile .

The rest came off after I finished BF. This is defo my last one (touch wood its all ok in there!) and i will be 36 when fluff comes along. Have an ambition to be in really good shape by the time I am 40, so i'll have plenty of time to get the weight off. Getting fit is a different challenge though....Blush

Still feeling pants but not sooo bad, my scan is next Monday, getting really excited!

ttfn x

nickstermum · 24/01/2011 13:16

beaut nothing re scan and water retention. 1.5 litres is a touch excessive!

TTFN - off again xx

LittleBeaut · 24/01/2011 13:22

Not litres!! Pints... honest that was what my letter said, and there is pictues up all over the place of scans if you have enough water and if you dont have enough water. I wonder if I need to have that much next time Confused

Hersetta · 24/01/2011 13:38

Mine didn't say anything this time about water intake (it did previously with DD). I did drink quite a bit though and the sonographer said I should empty my bladder as it wasn't necessary to do the scan at all.

We told DD last week that she was going to be a big sister. She was delighted. She jumped up and down and actually clapped! She picked up her Buzz Lightyear and said she was going to give it to the baby to play with. Very cute. Good job we didn't tell her sooner as she then started to tell everyone she met that 'she was having a baby'. She really thinks it is her baby and goes on and on about the baby sleeping in her room (it won't) and how she will get it up every morning and they can sit on the sofa together and have milk and a biscuit and watch TV.

She did also say she wanted a sister and although we know the baby is most likely a girl we haven't told her yet until we are completely sure after the 20w scan.

13+1 today and spent the weekend sleeping. Was in bed at 10.30 and slept through to 9am and still needed a nap in the afternoon both days. God knows hoe I'm going to manage a work today after a very disturbed night at home (DD has a cough).

Good luck for the scan Nik and all the others this week.

Firawla · 24/01/2011 14:10

awww hersetta that is lovely your dd reaction! i hope my ds reacts the same way, he absolutely loves ds2 (1 yr old) so hoping that will help him to realise the positives of it, that it'll be someone else to play with like his brother, but as he wasn't really old enough to understand last time just wondering how the reaction will be. hope ds2 will cope well too, he is a bit of a mum's boy can be quite clingy but i think he would have grown up a bit and bit more independant by that time probably as theres still ages left...

KT and whoever else was saying ww, ill be the same i think, just join up again to sw soon after wards and make a big effort and im sure i will be able to shift it again, and for now not concentrating too much on weighing self etc. hopefully bf will help too, i only bf my other 2 a couple of months and hoping to maybe do a bit longer with this one but will see

LittleBeaut · 24/01/2011 14:29

Hersetta your daughter sounds thrilled... and a little ray of sunshine!! I cant wait to tell my boys now, I dont think they'll react quite the same way but I think they will be excited about being big brothes, especially my youngest - bless him!!

I'm carrying on with SW all the way through my pregnancy!! My midwife has said its fine and signed the forms she needs to sign so as it stands I'm staying. I dont want to get out of the habbit while being pregnant. I'm not bothered if I put weight on... I know its going to happen but, want to carry on eating as 'normal' as I have been doing while loosing weight x

Firawla · 24/01/2011 14:35

little beaut your really good following it through during pregnancy, are you still weighing yourself weekly or just eating the sw type food? and do you not crave crap?? lol
i did intend to keep following it but has just gone totally out the window!! maybe i lack self control :

have really been craving sandwiches at the moment so just having them but i know bread is something that makes me gain weight loads
