I'm now googling the purchase of Castor Oil, as apparently it'll work as well as cervix-coaxing.

RunningKatie · 24/01/2011 14:30

Hmmm, changed my mind, doesn't sound so pleasant afterall.

Nap time!

NoLadyButManyBubbasAndBumps · 24/01/2011 14:34

not half as much fun though runningK Wink

saltnvinigarcrips · 24/01/2011 14:47

mums the word bubba. I definitely don't need everyone knowing about my pile problemo lol. Sorry, please don't stop dirty sex talk on my account Wink I was only joking.

Fuzzywood · 24/01/2011 14:53

Oh ffs, I've just had the 4th letter from the tax man in the space of a month. Two tell me my tax code is changing, to 2 different codes and 2 telling me I owe them money but different amounts! I really need to call them but so not in the mood to have to sort something like that out.
Been hibernating today as DMIL is looking after DD downstairs, though they are out at the mo so have done lunch probably going back to bed now! Feeling a bit down about the waiting which is stupid but hey ho.
Talking of weird dreams I can't remember much of mine last night but do know Boris Becker was in it, what is that all about Hmm
Running let's hope your baby is right about it's day of arrival but is also not queue jumping, we'll have a mass of arrivals in the next couple of days.
Cupcakes definitely get your DH to talk to his mum and get her off your case, in my experience babies don't do planning! Smile

ZippyPippy · 24/01/2011 15:00

Hi all,

Glad to see you are being patient waiting for your babies to arrive ha ha Wink. I was so convinced I would go overdue, I'm still in shock I have an 11 day old baby here!!!

Had over a week at home now and it's been intense!! Loving every minute, but don't seem to have a moment to pause for breath. He has been a right pickle with the breastfeeding which has been quite stressful, but he's getting there and doing a lot better now. Apart from the 3 hours of non-stop crying last night he is also being generally very good!!!

Am sending labour vibes to all of you overdue - perhaps try for a pregnancy massage, I went into labour the next day so who knows!?!?

CupcakesHay · 24/01/2011 15:29

I need to log on more i think. Sorry - too lazy to take tnotes - but not happy about rock feeling so crappy...

And must say BONJOUR to salt or should I say sel Grin

Nice to see you zippy - and pleased it's all finally falling into place with the b-feeding. What's your top tip for the birth? And did you use everythign in your hospital bag?

I feel a bit sick afetr pasta for lunch and then a glass of milk with a ripple dunked in.... Blush

Badgered DH on phone to try to get to thorntons to buy me truffles after my disappointing Xmas alcohol ones i didn't like.

And love the thought of bubba and salt discussing piles and raunchy dreams in Rl.... and boris becker fuzzy - are you on the gas & air already Grin

One more day to wait for DH.... ho-hum.... maybe then I can join in the cervix-coaxing conversations Wink - although maybe not! he might just be horrified at how giant I am - especially given my last month of eating chocolate at any given moment!

Come on surely one of you must have your baby today or tomorrow? At this rate i might beat you! Grin

I wonder how AmI's doing....

Oh and love the dogs inthe birthing pool. remindw me of when my brother was about 2 and mum caught the dog with bro's willy in his mouth. Apparently bro was giggling but dog was kind of pulling at it - mum has to run and throw meat on ground to distract dog as she triede to pull willy out and dog started growling! Grin

OOooooh - hang on just noticed new smileys... oh - for burns day. Damn - hoping they might finally have put a pig emoticon on!!! (or a we hate ironing one!)

saltnvinigarcrips · 24/01/2011 15:48

Tee hee love the dog and willy story cupcakes. Yay, baby could be born on burns night. Not that i'm scottish although in my family we always eat haggis so I will have to order some tonight when i do online shop which i didn't do yesterday. [bsmile]

CupcakesHay · 24/01/2011 15:55

UGH Haggis - ugh.

Just seen the news about moscow Airport. I still have friends at the Embassy there, so hope all are OK. Quite worrying Shock.

RockLover · 24/01/2011 16:03

Oh I'm alright cupcakes, just being all weird and moody due to being pregnant and fed up. C'mon baby rock, get moving!!!!

It would be worth getting locked up running just to get some Krispy Kremes, they don't seem to sell them in deepest, darkest Devon.

I'm feeling a little more relaxed now that the school run is done. I've put the chicken in the oven and peeled the potatoes, just have to par boil them in a bit to get them good and floury so we can have some lovely roasties :).

Just snacking on some multigrain crackers and Philadelphia soft cheese, but it's not quite hitting the spot. Not sure what I want, but it has to be savoury...maybe a roll with some Wensleydale would be more satisfying.

All this talk of sex to get things moving is making me feel bad for DP, he's got no chance poor love. He bought me a huge fresh pineapple the other day (at my request to try and kick things off) and he asked me if it was to be taken orally or vaginally...cheeky beggar!!!! Grin

CupcakesHay · 24/01/2011 16:11

Mmmm chicken sounds good rock and LOL@ your DP! Grin

I told Dp the 4 top things for inducing baby, namely raspberry tea, long walks, pineapple and nookie - adn he said "get the boots out for the walks then..." great!

I'm dreading next week though - all I've done for the past month is tell the baby to hang on, and then coem weds i'll be HURRY UP AND GET OUT....

On the plus side, just found a Hello Kitty knitting pattern for my mum - so i'm in her good books and she's making me a cup of tea!

I'm having steak and chips tonight - nice and healthy - but having peas Shock and mushrooms with it to try and boost my veggie intake!

Pub quiz tonight. Qeustion is - will i be going to pub quiz next week?

CupcakesHay · 24/01/2011 16:12

Dh... not DP. You'll be thinking i'm having an affair! Grin

RockLover · 24/01/2011 16:16

Lol cupcakes, if you are having an affair you can try cervix coating with one and long walks with the other. Nice to have choices eh? Grin

Just had a brown roll with some Wensleydale, that seemed to satisfy my snack craving, but it probably means I won't eat much for dinner...oops. :)

LadyBuzz · 24/01/2011 17:29

Hello ladies, I have had a read through but have no idea who said what so I apologise for that.

Had a hard couple of days here, Kali is great and has been an angel so far but she is getting a bit snotty and unsettled today.
BF has gone very very badly and on top of everything else I have given up.

Still struggling with pain from the section and not managing to do alot at all. DH is a star though.

Its my birthday tomorrow so he has to be extra nice bless him!

cyberfairy i'm in Carlisle so the opposite way from you!

CupcakesHay · 24/01/2011 17:51

Poor you ladybuzz about the whole b-feeding - and just feeling a bit poop cos of the c-section. Don't let anyone make you feel guity about the b-feeding. They say the first 3 days is most important.

Hope you have a wonderful birthday tomorrow and i am sending positive thoughts to little Kali and your otehr DCs to be perfect angels for you all day! Grin

And no-one will expect you to do a lot, which is hwy your DH is helping - because a c-section is major surgery, and you need to take it easy - and stop beating yourself up. OK. (gosh - i sound like a mum already!)

travispickles · 24/01/2011 17:52

Just back from MW and the delights of a sweep. Wasn't as bad as I thought but not helped by the MW (who I have had all along and who I get on well with) going on about her small fingers... Blush
Evidently cervix is better than the other day, so feel less disappointing. Bet you can't wait to see OH Cupcakes

CupcakesHay · 24/01/2011 18:00

Yes can't wait to see him now! Ha ha - and hopefully the box of Krispy Kremes that he's promised Grin

And small fingers - why does that matter?

RunningKatie · 24/01/2011 18:02

Just been for a walk and bought a pineapple. DP asked if we were actually going to eat it tonight, too right we are.

LadyBuzz, happy birthday for tomorrow. Sorry Kali is a bit snotty and you're struggling with the pain. Good to hear that your DH is a star, what a nice man.

Any word from AmI?

RunningKatie · 24/01/2011 18:37

Updated my FB status to say "There is no news" - now I'm getting people saying what their date is on the sweepstake and asking me to hang on. [bhmm]

NoLadyButManyBubbasAndBumps · 24/01/2011 20:37

Hey ladyB good to hear from you, sorry to hear it's a bit tough for you - just try and remember how hard it was with your first one, but you're also coping with your boys and a c-section and a snotty baby who hasn't read the breastfeeding manual. You are doing a fab job and it's only going to get easier. Big hugs to you (although I hope you're asleep) :)

Happy Birthday for tomorrow in case I forget.

gallicgirl · 24/01/2011 21:17

So sorry for everyone who's feeling crappy.

I would try to reply to all posts but I'm just not in the mood. I snapped at DP earlier about having backache and I just want to throw a bit of a tantrum. I'm fed-up of being well-behaved.

Sara, thanks for the comment about not having any notice of labour starting. I really thought I would have to have a series of signs over a good period of time beforehand and was dreading having to wait ages.

I couldn't get hold of midwife today so I have no idea if anyone is coming to do my sweep tomorrow or not which means I might have to stay in all day if I can't get through to office in the morning.

I'm currently tormenting myself watching OBEM and DP is hiding in the kitchen. Doing washing-up by the sounds of it :)

Happy birthday for tomorrow ladyB [bgrin]

gallicgirl · 24/01/2011 21:35

Oh God, this girl has been in labour for days Sad... noooooooo...want a quick one, thank you.

NoLadyButManyBubbasAndBumps · 24/01/2011 21:45

Don't worry gallic, that woman obviously never mentioned that to the baby, whereas babygallic knows she's to come out quickly. She'll be a good baby and do as requested I'm sure.

gallicgirl · 24/01/2011 21:48

Probably will. Both mum and sis delivered in under 5 hours.

Crystylline · 24/01/2011 21:58

not watching OBEM - not sure i can cope!

of course watching silent witness full of murder and horrible crime is easier... lol.

gallic throw a tantrum - it's perfectly acceptable!

ladyb second bubba's comments. sure everything will work itself out. x
