New thread here for those final few weeks (fingers crossed!)

ooo Aquarius suits my air sign too. Perhaps it's a good job baby waited? lol.

We're having that curried coley thing that Jamie Oliver did on his fish suppers. DP is cooking up a storm in the kitchen as I type :)
Strangely there was a lot of half-priced cod in the supermarket so it looks like the fish fight had a positive effect.

Oh and for whoever had the cereal craving, Morrisons have some cereals (including Frosties Grin) at half price.

NoLadyButManyBubbasAndBumps · 21/01/2011 18:44

"Hope everyone who wants bubba out asap gets their wishes this weekend" I hope by this you mean babies salt, and not me!! :o :o

Blimmin' nora, last thing I need is another 'creative' child!! lol

right, off for a bit of torture and massage!

Fuzzywood · 21/01/2011 18:48

Just checking in for roll call. Nothing happening so having a sulk.
Worn myself out running around after DD today so maybe to be a pain the bump will decide to arrive when I have no energy Smile

RockLover · 21/01/2011 18:56

Just had my lush veggie pizza, mmmmmmm very lovely it was too! I think I'll be heading for the chocolate cake some time in the very near future Grin.

I'm in a really good mood today for some reason, despite baby showing no signs at all of moving out! Received the toys I ordered today and they are now clipped into the cot and look really sweet!

Going to relax this evening, cuddle up with DP on the sofa and watch rubbish Friday TV. Must make sure I put my newest bottle of Gaviscon within reach of the sofa though as I have had heartburn from hell all day. Grrrr!

I'm also going to have a cup of yucky raspberry leaf tea in a bid to make labour go quicker (apparently). Hope everyone has a good evening, I'll drop in later to say hi. :)

RunningKatie · 21/01/2011 19:05

Mid-afternoon meltdown here Blush - tried to get a nap in but my stomach was just growling so loudly. I thought I'd had enough to eat today but apparently not.

Going to have a bath this evening too Crysty, it's really cold out so definitely bath weather.

Just booked our first ever family room for friends wedding, feels exciting to tick the box that says "cot". Grin Now I need something to wear that looks tres glam and is practical for feeding in.

Bubba, that's so jammy, I want to go to the spa too.

I drool in my sleep too Travis, thankfully DP doesn't always notice. I'd never hear the end of it otherwise, heaven help me if I do get the birthing pool and the sieve is required!

RunningKatie · 21/01/2011 19:08

I'm an Aquarian and I'm not in the slightest bit creative!

At least an Aquarian child and mother combination doesn't sound a complete nightmare - now if BabyRunning could just appear any time soon it'd be good.

CupcakesHay · 21/01/2011 19:13

just had dinner too - with my second to last skeleton thorntons choc lolly! Wish i'd bought more. But bought some "Thunder & Lightening" ice cream today (for non-devon girls - it's ice cream with honeycomb in - and soooooo tasty!) Grin

Hello fuzzy - how's the ptty training?

Great link salt - and unless anyhow of us do like the "no induction" woman - we should all be having Aquarians!

Love your evening plans rock and pleased pizza was yummy - all those veggies. Good girl! I'm going to have a glass of OJ to try and boost mine to 4 portions... and then screw the other one!

And pad thai! YUMMMMMM salt

And poor bubba - of course we don't want you out! you are the wisest of us all!

Ok - link to the high chair Norton High Chair - but chances of spotting it around are slim (note, they do three colours - and at this stage i'd take ANY!) - i'm currently looking at alternatives online ... seen a few I like, and must say - loving You tube, as i'm able to look at the demos! I've found one company which might still have the one i want - so need to wait patiently til monday and call them then, and thinking of callng company directly to see if they can help. Wish i didn't get so obsessed with stuff Blush!

CupcakesHay · 21/01/2011 19:17

Damn - x-posted with running! Does it feel grown-up booking the family room? I still feel like a teenager so often that I sometimes can't believe I'm going to have a baby sooooo soon!

RunningKatie · 21/01/2011 19:39

Cupcakes, I know - imagine me booking a family room Grin

Pootle78 · 21/01/2011 21:17

Evening ladies, am checking in but sorry to disappoint you, no movement here!

I haven't taken notes this time, there is just far too much to take in at the moment!

I have had the most horrendous nights sleep for the last 2 nights and end up awake for 4 - 6 hours, I have had chronic back ache (think it was all that standing when I was cooking on wednesday & a fcuked mattress) I think I am running on about 30% at the moment :( by the time I drag myself out of bed it's nearly 11 have some brekkie, watched some crap tv had lunch, I then fall back to sleep for 3 - 4 hours and I am shattered still so haven't even had the energy to switch the laptop on. At least I have managed to get to the hairdressers and the dentist so no more appointments for me!

Shanster you deserve a medal for getting up and still being at work, I couldn't even contemplate that at the moment. And you can't have baby next Wedesday, that's my due date Grin Wink

lady Kali is gorgeous

AmI glad your tests came back ok and that baby is on the move

Come on baby bubba , where are you?

Cupcakes I bet you are so happy that hubby is in the country now, at least if anything was to happen, he could hot foot it across the country!

Will try and check in more often, but I don't think this baby is coming anytime soon much to dh's diappontment!

OP posts:
AmIGoingMad · 21/01/2011 21:25

I know what you mean cupcakes- doesn't feel like I'm grown up enough to have a baby!
running that is very grown up!
rock I had pizza too and it was indeed yummy! I feel a bit guilty now that I didn't add any veggies to mine!
salt thanks for the link!
And I've also been craving cereal- but Bran Flakes! Will have to keep that up for after the birth! Grin

I have a question to ask- sorry if tmi but at this point, if I can't ask you ladies, who can I ask?!
Up until today my bump felt like one continuous bump, now it feels like at the top of lady garden my bump then begins whereas before lady garden was past of it- does that make any sense at all and is it normal?!
Also, with pains etc, if they're just down the bottom of bump, is that just practice type ones cos if they were real they'd be all over bump esp at top? Oh dear- feeling clueless yet again! ConfusedBlush

AmIGoingMad · 21/01/2011 21:28

x post pootle sending lots of sympathy on the lack of sleep front. Make sure you just concentrate on resting and sleeping when you can now and no more cooking/ general domestic goddessness (not a word but should be!)

CupcakesHay · 21/01/2011 23:12

Aaah pootle poor you and the sleep Sad you have my sympathies - I can remember what it was like at christmas and how utterly tiring and soul-destroying it gets. Keep your chin up, and hopefully you'll get a bit more sleep soon. Can you try turning the mattress? I made my parents do that, and it made a teeny bit of difference.

And agree with you about shaster how is she doing it?

Well - DH might be in the country but i'm Angry at him, as he's gone out on the piss in London and hasn't let me have a mobile number for him Angry and i spoke to his mum and she's so wet and useless - sorry - btu she didn't even think to get a number for him. So i asked he to leave a BIG note on his bed saying i was mad and he can't do that sort of thing when i'm about to drop any moment. (although bet she won't leave the note) Bloody men! honestly - he may as well have stayed in syria! he just doesn't think. Maybe he actually thinks I can control when I have the baby! ggggrrrrr - and they need a FUMING emoticon not just a Angry one! Grin. Ok - myabe i'm going overboard, but it's bloody annoying - because really - something could happen!

Ok - rant over. sorry girls!

AmI - can't help too much on the bump thingy but it sounds like you've "dropped" - where I think baby moves down. I can kind of feel baby's head down there when I press hard enough, and then not 100% sure where his body is (but big girl, so it's probably covered in wobbly bitsWink) but then his legs are right at top of my bump - near diaphragm bit - again - not sure if that's cos he's got long freaky legs or the way it should be.

Pain wise, i've only had braxtons which feel at the bottom of the bump, where the head is - where the uterus is. I dn't think you feel it all over - well, from what I figured from the You Tube video!

Why am I so bored tonight? I think it doens't help knowing DH is in country and having fun with friends, whilst, for the 8th week i have another weekend with my parents to look forward to. god -sorry that sounds bitchy and mean, but you know what i mean! Ok - no more ranting I promsie!

AmIGoingMad · 21/01/2011 23:26

cupcakes thanks! It's just very bizarre now being able to feel a bit poking out at the bottom of bump and then lady garden in underneath it instead of being part of the bump now- very bizarre feeling!
And poor you! You've every right to feel Angry And the annoying thing is that he hasn't done it on purpose but just didn't think- not easy to deal with when you've got no choice but to think about everything constantly as it's your body doing all the changing! I suppose that as he's been away from you and baby bump he's not as aware of the urgency even though he'll have been thinking about you lots. Take some deep breaths and have some choc or cheesy puff crisps (I'm developing a new obsession!) and wait for the extremely apologetic call tomorrow whilst revelling in the fact that he will be suffering from a hangover! Wink

CupcakesHay · 21/01/2011 23:48

Thanks AmI - i know you are right - he hasn't done it on purpose, but it's just a bit frustrating - and his mum never helps. And yeah - you're right - sometimes i wish I cold just forget bout being pregnant - but i can't even when you do forget for a tiny bit - something happens, like a kick or I move suddenly and twist in awkward way, or whatever and then you just remember again....

But yeah - you're right.... i feel calmer already. Smile

And love the new obsession idea. Mmmm - cheesy puffy crisps. Might have to detour to morrisons tomorrow! Alhtough I am a little sick of morrisons.... tescos is meant to be here 8th Feb!

CupcakesHay · 22/01/2011 00:22

Ugh braxtons again.....

going to eat a chocolate bar and go to bed - which is where i'd imagine you all are!

And i'd like to point out - a first for me - First one to post in the morning and last one to post at night.

That'll NEVER happen again! Amazing what a 2 hour nap will do for you! Sleep tight girls and mums and bumps and babies!

NoLadyButManyBubbasAndBumps · 22/01/2011 09:10

poor you cupcakes - sure your DH will make it up to you when he realises how stupid he's been!

roll call for this morning.

nothing happening.

not amused by bubbababy. :(

:o

Crystylline · 22/01/2011 10:18

morning!

also not amused. still have weird, low BH type movements and a baby that is wriggling like crazy.

cupcakes i'm sure he didn't mean it either, but when he realises he'll probably spoil you rotten!

gallicgirl · 22/01/2011 10:35

Oh dear cupcakes I'd be well annoyed with your DH. In fact, why is he in London until Wednesday anyway? I'd want him with me as soon as his feet touched the ground! You've been apart for weeks Shock

Still no sign of babygallic Sad

I feel like I've had a productive day already. had to take DP to work so I went to the bakers while I was out and saw a pretty shirt too. It's my first new non-maternity item I have to wear post-baby. I just hope I drop down to a size 10 again by the Spring. Luckily it was from a charity shop so didn't cost the earth if I don't fit in it. Grin

I've not really got anything to do today. Bit of washing-up, bit of laundry, shred some documents. Might be a good day for stuffing my face and watching films.

RunningKatie · 22/01/2011 10:51

Checking in as well. Had a bath last night and rather than relaxing me it seemed to send bump a bit wappy and the pair of us were really uncomfortable for ages.

This morning I have cracking heartburn and indigestion so have now dispensed with being ladylike and am swigging straight from the bottle of gaviscon.

Due date is tomorrow so DP is busy building the activity rocker and I'm bidding on a sling on ebay. Then we're off out for lunch and a walk to encourage the little darling to appear.

Pootle, so sorry to hear your sleep is so bad.

Cupcakes - I would be livid with DH too. DP never tells me which flight he's on or anything so it's been brilliant being pregnant as now he realises I need to know rather than just fussing wanting to know before.

RockLover · 22/01/2011 11:12

Morning ladies! So we're all still here then? No progress for me either sadly. Little one was squirming around for a few hours this morning, but he seems to be very quiet now.

This seems to be a pattern at the moment, lots of gentle squirmy movements, then a few hours with nothing, then squirming and stretching again. He's definitely less vigorous than he was before, so I am presuming it's because he hardly has any room to move.

Think I'm going to have a nice warm bath in a minute, I have some lovely Champney's bath milk or some yummy bath bombs from Lush that I got for Christmas. Choices, choices! Then probably just veg out for the rest of the day with a little bit of housework thrown in as we need to get the flat cleaned before the big day (eventually) arrives.

travispickles · 22/01/2011 11:14

Only just awake, although slightly unconventional night's sleep from 11-3, then 6-11 with a big awake section in the middle. Can only hope this is to get used to midnight feeds! But my period type pains h ave gone and am now back to feeling normal if HUGE! Found out DM has gone parttime next year and has told people she will be doing childcare on Fridays. She has just omitted to tell us! Am not sure I want her looking after baby anyway as she can be a bit manic/ distracted, but we haven't even discussed with our boss what hours we will do or anything. Typical of DM really...
Cupcakes - have you spoken to OH yet? Is he feeling shamefaced? He damn well should be!

CupcakesHay · 22/01/2011 11:16

Aaah pleased it wasn't me over-reacting with Dh - spoke to him this morning - and he was VERY apologetic.... he said he just didn't think. But he was very contrite and sweet, so i've forgiven him. And gallic he's in london as he has to go on course at work on monday & tues - but they know the circs, and have said (obviously) if he doesn't turn up they'll know why. And yeah running my Dh is a bit like that with me having to HOUND him about stuff. He's just not very organised - but he's good at other things - spose that's what makes us all different and all that mush!

Slept lovely last night - up every 2 hours for a wee, but went straight back to sleep afetr each time, and had about 8 hours! result.

Sorry that naughty bubba baby is still not here! And naughty gallic baby - maybe they'll be lovely relaxed chilled out babies? Grin

And love your shirt buying gallic - good girl! Positive thinking!

Going to book a pedicure and eyelash tint for tuesday. Decided my feet are quite minging, although going to take my own glittery nail varnish along so i can just top it up rather than have to start again! And eyelashes... well I look like a pig without mascara as my eyelashes are so pale and I have tiny eyes - so i figure at least i can look a little bit better in those after the birth shots that i'll be selling to Hello magazine Grin

Feels like i am carrying an elephant today!

And i got quite a few braxtons last ngiht crysty too. Are you sleepign a bit better?

Fuzzywood · 22/01/2011 11:25

Oh Cupcakes thats rubbish of him, hope you've managed to talk to him today.
I think these babies are just trying to annoy us now!
How was your torture/ pampering session Bubba?
Crap nights sleep here too, DD has horrible cold so was awake coughing quite a lot then the bump woke up and decided to play.
At the danger of tempting fate potty training going well thanks Cupcakes, only one minor accident in a couple of weeks so hopefully we've cracked it (may all change when the little one arrives).
Nice of your mum to talk to you about plans first Travis. My DMIL looks after DD 2 days a week, or did when I was at work. It works really well for us but it has to be something you're happy with.
Right better get dressed DH has taken DD out so having a bit of a lie in.
