Morning all
Barbie Happy belated birthday! Aquarians rule!

I know we have talked about dreams before but is anyone getting really really angry dreams? Last night I was screaming at a Next girl who served someone before me then wouldnt get my refund right. All I wanted was to get my quick refund so I could start walking on a long distance path around Cornwall with my lion! The last big could be quite meaningful but the first bit?!!
Is anyone else having really angry dreams?

neenewps · 26/01/2011 08:59

Hi all

Hope every one is well.

moufflon I'm so sorry about your friend. How tragic and must be so difficult losing a friend like that :(

jasmine No angry dreams but I did dream last night that I was a smoker and that I LOVED it??!! I also dreamt that I fell in love with this guy on a boat that I was stranded on - woke up and told my DH and felt embarressed about the whole thing :)

I managed to pick up a second hand M&P changing table (I know not an essential) for £35 the other day as well as a baby gym which was brand new. Am slightly annoyed though as one item is missing from the baby gym and I don't know whether to contact the seller and ask where it is?? I'm rubbish at stuff like that!!

Otherwise just counting down the days to my scan... a week today. Am feeling very nervous about it. Am just hoping that everything is ok. Am very anxious about the organs being all ok!!

Can't remember if someone asked this or I dreamt it but hospital statistics for births in the UK are here www.birthchoiceuk.com/BirthChoiceUKFrame.htm?LocatorFrame.htm?Hospitals/406.htm

Hi all. Can I join in? Only just found you over here - have been lurking in the pregnancy forum. I'll be 20 weeks on Friday and have my next scan on Monday. Bump is expanding rapidly too!!

takethatlady · 26/01/2011 11:21

Hi titaniap congratulations! And good luck for your scan on Monday (and to moog and crumble for today :)). I wish mine was on Monday ... I've got another week to go after that and I'm starting to worry that I'm still not putting on any weight (despite eating total crap all the time) and that I can't feel the baby yet (am 18+3). I'm sure it's fine - I heard the heartbeat a week ago, but I'm getting itchy for that scan!

Hope you're okay moufflon, and that everyone else feeling a bit fed up is having a better day today.

Moog72 · 26/01/2011 12:10

Hello - I've had my scan :) all is good and in the normal range - didn't find out the sex. I have a high anterior placenta again which explains why the only movements I feel are very low down and not very often.

Welcome Titania

takethatlady · 26/01/2011 12:14

Congratulations moog on your scan! Great you got reassurance about the baby's movement. I admire your patience in not finding out the sex!

cameli · 26/01/2011 12:14

Afternoon ladies - i have my second anomaly scan this afternoon - need to have the heart lips & placenta checked again so fingers crossed its all good.

We will let them confirm the sex if possible too (private scan says girl) and then I can do some serious shopping.

Will report back this evening :)

Moog72 · 26/01/2011 12:23

TTL oo I was tempted re the sex but we had agreed a surprise so had to stick to it!

Good luck cameli!

crumbletastic · 26/01/2011 12:40

Congrats on your scan moog and good luck this afternoon cameli

I had my scan this morning and it took nearly 40 minutes as baby was all over the place so very hard to take measurements. I have to go back a week today as they were unable to check the heart size and structure because baby was moving so much. The sex is inconclusive becasue legs were firmly crossed but sonographer said 60:40 that she thinks its a girl but she couldn't see any girl bits, it was based entirely on not being able to see boy bits. Those odds aren't good enough to make me confident to go shopping yet so hope next weeks scan is a lot clearer.

79monica · 26/01/2011 13:25

takethatlady please don't worry about not putting on weight or feeling anything yet.

I only started to feel something between 18 and 19 weeks but it was just a vague sensation and not really anything which I could put my finger on to even describe. I doubt that I would have even noticed it if I hadn't been looking out for it. 19.5 weeks onwards was when I started to feel more definite movements. If your placenta is at the front then it could be cushioning movements so that you can't feel them.

Also, I haven't put much weight on (and most of that was put on before I got pregnant so is post-wedding "I don't have to worry about getting in the dress anymore" weight gain rather than anything baby-related!) I have only worn maternity clothes to work from this week (I'm 20 +2). I probably could have got away with my normal ones but I was itching to start wearing all of the new stuff hanging up in my wardrobe! Grin In fact, there are quite a few pairs of maternity trousers which I have got which I can't wear yet because they keep slipping down so I'm obviously not really big enough for them yet!

takethatlady · 26/01/2011 15:58

Still, well done for holding out moog! And congrats to you crumble, despite your wriggly baby :) At least you get to see her (if the baby is indeed a her) again next week :)

Thanks 79monica :) I can't wait for a couple of months to go by so I can be visibly pregnant and feeling kicks. Very glad that ms is over and that I'm feeling human again, but it's also really weird to think that the baby is due 5 months today! At the moment it's quite easy to forget!

BarbieLovesKen · 26/01/2011 16:09

Im so pleased about all the healthy scans but cant help but feel sllightly jealous as I dont get a 20 weeks scan - had my "12 weeks"one at 18 weeks and next consultant appointment is at 28 weeks (in March).

Thanks for the happy birthdays for ds Smile

Nursesunshine, hope your ok xxx

Moog72 · 26/01/2011 16:18

Congrats crumble - at least you get another scan - another opportunity to see the little babe. I was thinking today that was the last time we see the baby until the big day!

Does anyone know how we get our MatB1 form? is this something we need to ask the doctor for?

moomin156 · 26/01/2011 16:20

Just to make some of you jealous... I had lots of lovely bump comments today. Was at a meeting in 'normal' clothes not uniform which hides everything. Everyone was shocked at how pg I actually looked. I am now starting to relax and enjoy this pregnancy, which is good as DH is already planning number 2 LOL

Moog72 · 26/01/2011 16:32

It is lovely when people make nice comments about your bump isn't it. A few of the women at work have started commenting now which I like too..

DaisyFields · 26/01/2011 16:33

I got my MatB1 from the mw at 20 weeks, just asked and she had a load in her bag.

I've still only gained 2lbs, no idea how because I feel huge and rolling over in bed is like trying to 3-point-turn a ferry.

Yes, hoping nursesunshine is ok, maybe she's busy moving into a beatiful new home.

I'm knitting the cutest pair of booties at the moment, what a cliche I am!

DaisyFields · 26/01/2011 16:35

Ps anyone else noticed that there's only 1 May thread and we're on 7?! Hoping that we're just really chatty and not that there's a massive baby boom coming in June :)

moomin156 · 26/01/2011 17:21

has nursesunshine been seen since Christmas........it feels like forever, i do hope she is ok

moomin156 · 26/01/2011 17:29

Just had a quick check back and she was last here on 6th January as nursesnowflake
Come back nurse we miss you

jasmine51 · 26/01/2011 18:35

Hello all
Had a really rubbish day today - had major sweat, sick dizzy attack this morning. Got back into bed and stayed there for a couple of hours but have been really light headed all day.
Bump has felt really uncomfortable and tight today and I think its higher than it was so maybe uterus is on the move again and a hormone surge is what sent me for the toilet bowl today. Has anyone else had this?
Trying not to worry but wish I still had my doppler. Cant feel any movement at the moment but to be honest I havent really been able to so far anyway.
Need cheering up
x

motherofsnortpigs · 26/01/2011 18:42

Spent most of the afternoon teaching DS to do jazz hands. Too cute! jasmine51 thank you for saying nice things about the snort pigs, even when they went on and on about the sick goldfish. My dreams are invariably X-rated. The recent theme has been 'blokes I vaguely knew at uni'... ttl and daisy I still look pretty un-pregnant and I doubt I've gained much weight, but I never weigh myself so I could just be deluded :)

motherofsnortpigs · 26/01/2011 18:45

x-post jasmine Hope you feel better soon.

BPrincess · 26/01/2011 20:38

Evening all! Had my scan this afternoon and all fine (I was very nervous, so a big relief), and even though we hadn't been planning on finding out the sex, we caved in just before leaving the room - and it's a girl!

As others have said before, very cute feet - but also (and is this a new one?), gorgeous femurs Grin

Jasmine51, I had a dizzy attack last night too - sure it's nowt to worry about, but rest up just to be sure, and let everyone wait on you.

Hope everyone else has good scan results
Bear
