ledkr · 19/01/2011 17:50

deb im like that i cant believe i can be this uncomfortable and not go into labour,i never been like this with the others, can only walk like jon wayne and very slowly.
I cant believe my dh in this pg either,he is a really fab hubby and so loving, but has at times behaved like a twat, maybe you are right is it their way of expressing concern.
I am having a beer!!felt so fed up and thought it cant do any harm, feel nice and relaxed now, just told dh i will be getting pissed the night i come home Grin
I dread to think what my area looks like,im just going to tidy it up as best as i can and shave the c section area myself next week.

PinkiePoo · 19/01/2011 18:32

I am feeling very sorry for myself tonight!! Cancelled my last antenatal class....feeling hot and cold/sicky....generally run down. Anyone else had this??

is it safe to have bubblebath at this stage?? please say yes!!!

tadjennyp · 19/01/2011 18:35

I also feel sick as a pig and often teary and seem to have gone off coffee again! Can't be bothered to do anything. Ought to unload the dishwasher and washing machine but sat here MNing relaxing instead! Hope everything goes well debka.

wigglesrock · 19/01/2011 18:46

PinkiePoo I would go ahead and have a lovely bath - helps me relax

Loads of news today - sorry you had a bad day Debka, my mum is like your dh, she gets angry on my behalf but it feels like its at me, if that makes sense Smile

Ledkr shifts are really tough with new baby, sorry can't fib, with dd2 I ended up doing all most of the night feeds and I didn't go back to work after my mat leave.

Well after all my moaning etc this morning, Mr Wiggles came home from work with a fancy nancy bottle of perfume for me, I don't care if it was a guilt induced present its yummy. I saw my mum later on this afternoon and she had just happened to nip out and got me a baby record book, some smellies and some new pjs. Is this a trick I've been missing for 36 years, do I need to be a bit more of a crier Smile

PinkiePoo · 19/01/2011 19:05

cookingfat I for o e will deffo be having lady garden seen to before I start selling tickets to the local CMW team. Always try and keep up with waxing on the off chance i get lucky with dh Grin have you tried hot waxing? It's a bit more expensive but I find it much less painful, will book in for about 38 weeks

Just sent dh to supermarket for weekly shop as I can't face it. Gave him a list. Chocolate was underlined

40Weeks · 19/01/2011 19:28

Oh and pinkie I think bubble baths are fine, have been having them throughout. Just not toooooo hot

tadjennyp · 19/01/2011 19:40

Anyone else struggling with normal housework? I'm in pain just from loading and unloading the dishwasher and washing machine. Hmm

Enjoy that lovely bath and chocolate!

debka · 19/01/2011 19:52

You are all so kind [soppy look].

Anyone else got high hopes for the full moon tonight?

40Weeks · 19/01/2011 19:54

ZeroMinusZero · 19/01/2011 20:07

Meant to ask, did you book a hol zero ? it was you wasn't it that was looking at that website?

janedoe25 · 19/01/2011 20:53

Ha ha zero my OH has also been booked in for some foilage tidying! I cant face the ideaof getting waxed Shock
Hope you are ok debka and taking things easy.

ledkr · 19/01/2011 21:05

me too on the dh topary duty,im not wasting pain and money on a wax just for mws and drs,sod that ill wait untill after and i have a date with Ashley Banjo.Im just geting dh to do the line and trim it a bit,no v jazzling for me.
tad i am struggling with normal life never mind housework,i dusted a shelf yesterday and nearly passed out,i just cant remember being like this with the others, mayb you forget,i have given up now dh and dil are giving it a good clean on monday so thats ok.

ZeroMinusZero · 19/01/2011 21:12

It was me 40 and I am really liking the website, it's awesome. I came quite close to booking somewhere in Normandy but I think on balance am going to save money and go for Devon/Cornwall instead (using the same website). It's been agonising deciding, as I would really, really like to go back to France, having not been there for about four or five years, as I really like speaking the language(really, really badly with sub-GCSE tourist French). But I think if we save money and stay in the UK I'll feel less guilty about going to restaurants in the evening, whereas if we'd blown the budget and gone to France we'd have ended up feeling resentful spending money on food and drink.

BTW - I know it sounds pretty stupidly middle class to complain about "only" having a holiday in Devon not France, but what's Mumsnet for if not for petty middle class worries? :) Which reminds me - we got the Mumsnet babies book (which is absolutely brilliant, btw) and there are some HILARIOUS stories about 'precious first borns'. The best one is about a couple who booked a flight from London to Manchester just to check that their baby could 'cope' with flights, a few weeks before going on holiday to the Med. Surprisingly enough, their baby slept through both flights.

MizK · 19/01/2011 21:52

Aww everybody seems to have the blues (or as Holly Golightly would say, the mean reds!). Hope we all feel better tomorrow?
had to laugh at ledkr mentioning vajazzling, I had suggested to my friends I might get it done just to give the midwives something pretty to look at when I'm in throes of labour!!! Perhaps I could have 'epidural please' spelled out in rhinestones along there in case they conveniently ignore my pleas for one like last time?
On a more serious note, hope debka is OK, as soon as baby makes an appearance all this will be better - baby might surprise you and make an early entrance... fingers crossed for you anyway hon.

tadjennyp · 19/01/2011 22:03

Lol at vajazzling!

40Weeks · 19/01/2011 22:13

Such a great phrase! Brightened up my day no end, as did the dairy milk Smile

40Weeks · 19/01/2011 22:15

Am also toying with uk hols zero my only concern is weather Hmm you just never know with uk if you are going to get a week of rain at the Pride of Presatyn Wink

Oneof4 · 19/01/2011 22:17

Blimey Debka - that's a lot to deal with in one day. Crossing my fingers that it all works out...

I know what you all mean about the emotional rollercoaster. I kicked arse in a meeting this afternoon just because I got fed up with the politics that was wasting my precious time! It was a lot of fun and cheered me up no end - should do it more often.

I still can't quite understand that there's a baby in here...

tadjennyp · 19/01/2011 22:21

Struggling to do stuff with my pre-schoolers that doesn't involved TV or DVDs at the moment. Oh well, I'm sure they won't be permanently harmed. I just can't keep going out or I'll end up falling over. Imagining being 'vajazzled' down under just to cheer myself up though! Grin Do we do birth announcements on here, or just set up a post-natal thread?

PDR · 19/01/2011 22:32

I'm also planning on getting DH to tidy me up maybe end of next week just in case?!?

On the subject of holidays - our fortnight in Cornwall (one week happens to be half term) is costing an absolute fortune! We could have gone to Dubai for 5 nights for the same price Shock!!!!! guess it's a taste of things to come when we can only go away in the school hols...

Just home from NCT class - I love it :) Met some really nice people so hope we all end up staying in touch after the babies are born.

Going to the hospital for more monitoring tomorrow morning. Bought myself some magazines to pass the time and a wispa in case I get peckish Wink!!!

Where o where is my new car seat?! Still no call to say the shop have it and I think that's all they're waiting for now. I want to play with my new pram but no point going until everything is ready I suppose...

WanderingSheep · 19/01/2011 22:41

LOL at vajazzling spelling out "Epidural please!" Grin

Debka you poor thing! That's a lot of stuff to be unloaded onto you in one day. I hope you're doing ok and that your appointment goes well tomorrow.

I can sympathise with those who have been a bit weepy. I used to be such a hard faced cow before my 1st pregnancy. Now anything can set me off!

earlgreyismynectar · 19/01/2011 23:08

Heehee vajazzling made me giggle! Managed a bit of a tidy up wax (which was agony! Much more painful than usual, hormones?!) but it still needs pruning work so have been inspired by your ideas and just asked DP if he can do it for me and he's happy to oblige!

Debka, good luck with your appt tomorrow, what a lot to get dumped on you, I hope you get the best advice for you.

Feel for all of your over emotional moments, it's so hard by this stage, I'm so exhausted it doesn't take much to tip me over the edge right now. Feel for you Ledkr & others who are so uncomfortable, here's to some early arrivals! Not long to go for you now Ledkr. I walked into the city centre today, ended up walking around an exhibition in the art gallery then some shops then I was just soo s-l-o-w I felt like I needed a zimmer, made it to the bus stop utterly exhausted then had to lie down the rest of the afternoon / eve. Hibernating officially begins now.

Had positioning scan today & it's not breech which is great, placenta also in the right place. It's still back to back which meant we got some chubby cheeks peeks! Cute! I have a proper chubby baby in me! Thanks for your feedback Wiggles, we got some chubby cheek pics too, albeit pretty bad ones of not quite seeing what's what but it was lovely to see.

Angels, I was wondering about Needtosleep too, things may be moving there! She's on the homebirth thread on childbirth too so worth checking to see if she's posted anything up there. We're due another baby soon!

Night night ladies, sleep as well as can be expected!

ledkr · 20/01/2011 06:01
